Would you ever consider drawing a chibi monker (s...smunkey?) I love their design so so so much they make me go :)

i usually dont draw chibis outside of comms bc of the Chibi Burn Out (which i currently am in the trenches of) so/but maybe some day soon i will! for now yu can have a regular one...im also very obsessed with both of the implied names here

monkey king (2023) x reader

someone sent a request for monkey king with insomnia but idk what happened to it I can’t find it so here it is

yeah Monkey does not know when to sleep

even before becoming the Moneky king, he would stay up late a lot

so when he began his quest to defeat a hundred demons, he started forgetting to sleep at appropriate hours or even at all for days at a time

by the time Monkey had defeated his 60th demon, he had gotten so used to the constant fighting that falling asleep had become significantly harder than he remembered

seeing as he had no one else around to help him out, he just took it all in stride

even during his time beneath the Five Phases Mountain, Monkey’s insomnia stuck around, even if he did manage to catch up on a lot of lost nights worth of sleep

and than he was released and he met you

once the two of you got closer and you started catching on to how sleep deprived he was, you took some initiative to try and fix that

“I don’t care how immortal you are, you’ve gotta start getting a solid eight hours in.”

Monkey was fickle at first, of course, insisting that he was doing just fine running on eight hours of sleep a week

but once he got more comfortable with you, he eventually caved in and let you do your thing

during the journey to the west, you would gather things like lemongrass, chamomile, and mint to make a sleepy tea for him to drink in the evening

miraculously it seemed to do the trick

it took a little while for Monkey to get used to the sounds of the outside world again since the only white noise he’s had for the past 500 years was the low humming from his stick and the occasional sounds of storms outside the mountain

after a few weeks he gradually got used to the sounds of cicadas, leaves rustling in the wind, distant animal noises, and other such whatever

the sound of your heartbeat wasn’t half bad either

it’s easiest for Monkey to sleep knowing that you (and Tripitaka) are out of danger, so he likes to sleep close to you

bonus if you run warm (even though he has fur)

some nights if you’re up as late as he is, Monker will have you quietly talk to him so he’ll doze off trying to stay awake to listen to you

Why do people keep calling cloth mother "fake" mother, even though wire mother's just as fake? Just because wire mother's got food, doesn't make her any more of a monkey mama. Plus, for babies, human familiar touch is just as much a basic survival need as food. All I'm saying, is that neither mother can fully provide for the baby monkey. There's no reason to call one mother more fake than the other, especially if used in a way to mock the baby for choosing one over the other.

But no, sure, see if that monkling had the Grindset it'd choose the Sigma wire mother and grow up to be a real Chad monker, instead of dying a Virgin baby monkcel, yeah that's right
