Q: Do you know of any Star Trek comics with a shippy Spock/McCoy dynamic?

A: Do you mean fan comics or official print comics? I'm not too familiar with the official print comics, myself, but I do know of the famous hug from Star Trek: The Mondala Imperative mini-Series of comics. A bit of the scene is below: (source)

Asian American Doctors Unite Against Racial Discrimination

“I think people think that racism is something that only certain ethnic groups actually experience and within ours, it’s just something that we should ignore,” said Dr. Melissa Mondala.

Dr. Micah Yu is a rheumatologist and his wife, Dr. Mondala is a family medicine doctor and lifestyle medicine specialist. They say Asian American physicians and other health care workers are becoming targets of discrimination in the age of the coronavirus because some people believe Asian people are responsible for the spread of COVID-19.

I'm going to take you back in time from this burning flower snowflake 88 mph until we land where it all started, in a photo of some pond plants I took the other day in Kansas... This particular process of digital mandala construction is all about identifying textures that can survive the baking and folding and stretching and warping and come out the other side transformed in interesting ways. Thinking about what I can sample for the best results has changed the way I see and the things I notice in my immediate environment... It's a lot like the way my listening changed once I acquired music production software back in college and a laptop and I started hearing things that would make interesting percussion or synthesizer patches. And really, this is very much in line with that approach, and it's why I've been using digital mondalas as the track art for the last few studio compositions I've released: I'm fascinated with that process of decontextualization and processing that lifts something out of its original identity and into new configurations and meaning... I've had less time since becoming a dad to spend on music production but in that last year or so this kind of work has become a meditation, a training, a kind of aesthetic flow state I can get into on bed before sleep, making small tweaks, tuning the digital kaleidoscope, finding the points where it clicks and things come into balance... The 2nd day of So Cal Vegfest featured a really informative panel called 'Thriving on A Vegan Diet: Health Expert Panel' featuring Dr. Angie Sedeghi, Dr. Justyna Sanders of Prescription Lifestyle, and Michal Yu & Melissa Mondala of Dr. Lifestyle, plus moderators James & Dahlia Marin of Married to Health. Wow! It was so super packed with information, much of which perfectly backs up what Ryan and I have been saying on this channel for years. I wanted to capture the full talk so that all of you who weren't able to attend could hear this expert advice, too. I have to admit that we were both especially excited to hear local Dr. Angie speak. I've been following her on Instagram for some time. She didn't disappoint, either, giving great insight into the recent trend of vegan influencers renouncing the vegan diet, as well as giving a great demonstration of how "Leaky Gut" works, and explaining what Sibo is.
