Top 5 tennis players and top 5 motorsport races (any category)

for the top 5 tennis players, i will choose 5 current players from both the atp and the wta, and in no particular order (i know it's a top 5 game, but i really cannot rank players to save my life lol) they are:

jannik sinner, denis shapovalov, jasmine paolini, casper ruud and iga swiatek

(i also wanted to point out that my atp favorites after the first two tend to change veeeery often)

top 5 motorsport races? interesting ! i was unsure on whether this meant the races in general or in a specific year, so i will do a mix of both:

the indy 500, no specific year. i've watched the last two editions and the 2016 race as well, and i can safely say it's my favorite race of the entire motorsports calendar. i personally really enjoy oval racing, and this race is long enough to have many possible strategies to follow. it is such a big event it takes up the entire month of may, and i can defintely say that the hype is justified

le mans. i've only watched bits of it last year but, i mean, it's the 24 hours of le mans. this year i've watched some more endurance racing, so it's even more impressive to think about how it is actually possible to organize and keep a race going for a whole 24 hours. and just like the indy 500, this is a race with a long and interesting history that i wish i could know more about if only i had the time to

2021 monaco eprix. it is no secret that i love formula e as a category, so i absoutely had to sneak it in, espescially when it comes to monaco, a street track that i quite like, but that doesn't suit the current formula 1 cars as they are too big for that track right now. the fe cars are way smaller, which allows a lot of overtaking and generally fun races there. the 2021 race has to be one of the absolute best ones to date, with da costa pulling a brilliant ovrertake in the last few laps for the win, and overall a good race from every aspect

2022 silevrstone grand prix. out of the ones i've watched live, this is still the one that i've liked the best. along with it being the first fomrula 1 win of one on my favorite drivers, it also had a good amount of action, espescially with the battle between perez, hamilton and leclerc. it also helps that the british track is one of my favorites on the formula 1 calendar

2011 montreal grand prix. this one i haven't watched (maybe i will one day who knows, but it's tough to find a spare 4 hours nowadays), but it is jenson button's best formula 1 win. it's fun to recall it during the canadian gp race week of this year, who knows if that track will ever see such chaos again (if you don't know what i'm talking about, i really recommend watching the highlights. trust me, it's worth it)

So let‘s just go category for category, I guess

I don’t have a fave Indycar race yet, cause after 2 seasons it‘s still too chaotic and fast paced for me to really know what‘s going on … like I mainly watch it for the vibes (I‘m usually half asleep watching it)

In DTM? it‘s probably both Nürburgring Races in 2021 and I do think Zolder 2021 race 1? Possibly the Spielberg 2021 races cause I truly love the track for the views. It‘s home. Also the first half of 2022 as a whole was fun

In Formula E obviously Valencia EPrix Race 1 2021, it‘s the reason I started watching FE. Before that, Idk, no race kept my attention. Generally every Rome race is special to me but especially 2022. Mitch Evans masterclass. And the 2022 London Races. The 2023 Monaco race was funky.

In F1 nothing keeps my attention like watching old Schumi races Idk, like every single one was the best race ever! Apart from that Fuji 2007 and obviously Monza 2008. The first half of 2009, Jenson in Brawn was magic. Similar to Seb in Japan always being magic to me. And Lewis in Brazil. Brazil 2021 is … yeah. That bitch. Also Spa 2022. Alex just hitting quali lap after quali lap. I stopped breathing. Abu Dhabi 2010. Malaysia 2015 is my Seb race. Canada 2011 is just that race period. Also the Turkey 2020 just cause (my track and my drivers).

Yeah. Probably incomplete but those are the races I can think of of the top of my head sooooo

it is not a secret that my favorite motorsport is formula e, and it is no secret either that my memory is, like, veeeery bad. thankfully, while i was going crazy through my massive formula e marathon, i did write down in the notes which races i enjoyed the most. the list is a little long and sliglty biased, because half of these race are there solely due to being my favorite drivers' first wins, although i can't say those weren't epic races either. if i really had to pick one, i think that the 2021 monaco eprix offered the best on track product, as well as a memorable win and a great podium (it's nice to look back at it and see that mitch has finally won monaco too now :)

little bonus if you've made it this far: for what it concerns formula 1, i could just say it is every button win ever (espescially canada 2011), but considering that i was lucky enough to have witnessed silverstone 2022 live, that has got to be mentioned as well
