{nobody like you- momo yaoyorozu}
Tumblr media
I've been in such a momo mood lately, I just really needed to write something for my wife. I'm so in love with her she deserves all the best things ever.
fem!reader, no physical descriptions. slight angst but mostly fluffy. lots of yearning. reader and momo get a bit tipsy. teensy tiny bit suggestive at the end if you squint.
this is a part 2 to this drabble I wrote a while ago! reader is pro hero!momo's PR manager/assistant/best friend.
Tumblr media
momo doesn’t need reassurance very often.
she hasn’t since her U.A. days. for the most part, she’s managed to overcome her insecurities and losses and shine in the hero world as a very dependable and capable leader.
but still, there are times that she falters and familiar feelings of doubt creep in.
you walk through the elevator that opens into her penthouse apartment carrying a bottle of wine and some take-out. for the first time that evening, she smiles.
"hey," you murmur, settling next to her on the red chaise-lounge overlooking tokyo's night life. it's cramped, considering she's huddled under her fluffiest blanket and surrounded by pillows, but you make it work and she's so grateful to have you close. "how are you feeling, honey?"
the immediate comfort of having you near dissipates and she's reminded of why you're here in the first place.
she shrugs. she feels absolutely horrible about how things on her last patrol had transpired. it was petty theft, there's absolutely no reason she should've let him get away, but she got distracted for one second because a kid ran in front of her begging for her help with finding his mother.
and of course a lost child takes priority over a stolen bag of groceries in most people's eyes, but the cranky old man (who was objectively having a better time than momo), decided to go on and on to anyone who hadn't seen the sequence of events about her "carelessness" and "clear bias". even after momo offered to pay for his new groceries and then some.
he happily took her up on that, but still decided to rip her to shreds when a pretty penny was dropped in his wallet in exchange for an interview from an outlet that has been anything but kind to her.
she groans and brings her hands to her face thinking about the media coverage she's been getting all day.
you put a hand on her knee and stroke your thumb over it to soothe her. "it's okay, momo. everyone who really saw what went down has been defending you online."
she peeks through her fingers to look at you with a pitiful expression. "really?"
you nod enthusiastically. "mhm! and besides, everyone knows better than to believe anything those vile journalists say about you."
momo drops her hands and looks at you gratefully. it's true, there's been a lot of fans and heroes alike calling out the news outlet for it's recent criticisms of fan favourite heroes, some of her friends included. she thinks back to the messages she received earlier from midoriya and mina, and those she's yet to check from todoroki and ochako.
"and," you continue, pulling her out of her thoughts yet again "you have me covering for you. I'll take care of it, don't you worry."
that's right, she thinks fondly. I have you...
but does she? nothing else has happened between you since that day you stitched her up. no words have been exchanged about it, no more developments have come about.
she's going to reach her breaking point soon, she can feel it, but she's terrified of putting herself out there without anything to confirm it won't be for nothing. not one sign to confirm that you feel the same.
you're not making it any easier by looking as good as you do right now- you're not dressed in anything particularly fancy, your clothes are rumpled and your eyeliner is a bit smudged, but you look perfect.
and you have food. what more could she ask for at this point?
you seem to remember the bag of food when her eyes are drawn to it and you light up. "oh! it's your favourite, I figured you needed a pick me up. seriously, I've got everything covered, so let's just unwind tonight."
she looks between you and the bottle you placed on the floor and nods.
about an hour and a half later, you’re both tipsy and singing at the top of your lungs to whatever songs come up on your shared playlist.
while you take a breather, you watch as she lets loose. her hair is down, her shoulders aren’t so visibly tense anymore, there’s a pinkish hue painting her cheeks and she looks more carefree than you’ve seen her in a long time.
maybe that’s not a fair observation, considering she’s currently inebriated (and you are too), but the sight captivates you nonetheless.
she’s gorgeous. so gorgeous it physically pains you to keep staring at her, yet you can’t look away. (in the back of your mind, you recall a joke she once made about you being a masochist and you almost laugh at your own expense.)
the yearning you’ve tried so hard to push down hits you like a truck and it only intensifies when the song ends and a slow song takes its place.
panting from her performance, momo turns her head towards you, the wide smile on her face that morphs into something far more gentle than you can handle right now.
you stare at each other. the slow strumming of the guitar in the background seems to charge the atmosphere and you’re both left with funny feelings in your chests as the song goes on.
your queue really knows how to set the mood.
the amount of love you have for her holds you to the ground and settles uncomfortably within you, like it’s fighting to come out. demanding to be heard. you don’t break eye contact. you can’t.
her eyes, wide and shining, show hesitation and… longing?
could she feel the same about you? all these weeks of yearning… does she feel it too? is she… waiting for you to make a move?
she breaks eye contact first, shaking her head a bit in the very same way she does when she’s doubting herself, but you’re just brave (and drunk) enough to keep her in this moment with you. determined enough to not let her down by chickening out.
“I love you,” you blurt out, and your own voice sobers you up immediately.
her head snaps up, and she looks at you again, this time shocked.
your heart sinks to your stomach as you take in the weight of your words. did you misread her? did you just ruin everything? you wonder what you must look like from her point of view right now. scared? probably.
“I love you too,” she says. the way she speaks is soft, but full of emotion, full of comfort. there’s hesitation mixed in there, like she’s unclear on what you’re getting at, but afraid to clarify.
you begin chewing on your bottom lip nervously, doubt creeping into the pit of your stomach, latching onto your heart and squeezing it tight enough to restrict your circulation. your body grows cold as the nerves eat away at you from the inside.
this is your only chance to write it off as how you’ve always meant it- friendly, platonic, very much not romantic. you could play it off, blame it on the alcohol, change the song and go back to how it’s always been…
but you think of that day you patched her up once again, and deep down you know your heart can’t take much more of this.
“I know… but do you… do you understand how I meant it this time?”
her breath hitches. a wobbly smile finds its way to her lips. “I think so,” she whispers.
you step towards her, grab her hand and rub your thumb over the back of it. “I’m so in love with you, momo yaoyorozu.”
she steps forward too, wrapping her arms around your neck. the tension in your chest subsides and it’s almost like you can feel your blood flowing again.
“I’m so in love with you, too,” she replies, her eyes meeting yours, wobbly smile evening out and becoming much more confident.
your hands find her hips and excitement blooms in your stomach. “can I kiss you?”
she nods and immediately leans in to capture your lips with hers. you gasp and reciprocate the best you can while trying to keep your grin at bay.
eventually you’re both giggling and pulling away, standing in her penthouse living room with your foreheads pressed together, breaths mixing as you pant.
momo isn’t in need of reassurance very often, but a kiss really can do wonders for a weary mind.
she pulls away a bit and asks you a question you’ve only ever dreamt of her asking. “will you be my girlfriend?”
you’re pretty sure the way you kiss her as soon as the last syllable leaves her lips is enough of an answer, but you reply anyway with a mumbled out “yes, I would love nothing more, sweetheart.”
nothing has ever felt as right as this.
~~~~~~~~
BONUS
when momo wakes the next morning, she’s greeted with the feeling of you curled up against her. images of everything that transpired after you made it official flash through her mind and heat creeps into her cheeks.
if it weren’t for the dull ache and pretty marks in various places across her body (strategically placed to be covered by her hero costume, she notes) she might have believed that part was all a dream.
but you’re really in bed, and all hers.
for the first time since becoming a hero, momo doesn’t care one bit about what’s being said about her in magazines. she doesn’t care about what criminals she’ll have to face later on.
her whole world, the only person who’s opinion she’ll ever truly care about ever again, is right beside her, sleeping soundly.
her heart flutters as she traces your back and watches your nose scrunch slightly. you’re so gorgeous in the morning light. she’s always known this, of course, but she’s absolutely ecstatic that the guilt that normally comes with that thought is no more.
she thinks back to something you had said to her last night- something mumbled incoherently as you both drifted off to sleep- and a realization suddenly hits her and sets her ablaze all over again.
shaking you awake, she waits for you to open your eyes before rolling on top of you excitedly. she relishes in your sleepy giggle and the feel of your arms wrapping around her waist.
“good morning, pretty girl,” she coos, pressing kisses all over your cheeks.
you whine in response, screwing your eyes shut and she smiles. “remember what you told me last night about needing to get all that stored up affection for me out?”
you peek up at her with one eye, curious as to where she’s going with this. “mhm?”
“well I just realized that I don’t need to hold back anymore, either.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m soooooo happy to have this done and very proud of how it turned out!! idk why but I genuinely think some if my best writing happens when I’m writing for miss momo.
the song I had in mind for the confession scene was sailor song, mostly bc it makes me yearn beyond belief and that’s the vibe of this fic lmao. I wanted to name this fic “dripping in my favour” bc I thought that whole section of the song is very fitting, but I really didn’t want people taking it out of context 🥹.
I am so down to turn this into a mini series, with PR manager!reader btw :3
@emmyrosee here it is!! <3

HOW THEY COMPLIMENT YOU
♱ includes: takakura "okarun" ken, enjoji "jiji" jin, ayase momo, zuma unji
♱ warnings: character/s from the manga
Tumblr media
OKARUN
okarun is an overall awkward guy in giving you compliments. before he could say to you ‘you did a good job!’ all he could muster were stammered words as you were standing there waiting for at least a sentence to come out from his mouth. though if he was in a difficult situation where him and you are in a fifty-fifty scenario— well be ready as he will continuously say every compliment about you, how a good person you are— caring and so on and so forth, before turning himself into a gloomy version of him and decimate every enemies in your way. those aside, he is more observant than you anticipated. he would often notice small details that others miss, like ‘i like how you tied your hair today. it suits you.’ he is also a polite guy, so expect a lot of formalities from him even when you two are together.
JIJI
his words are really flattering which always catch you off guard even if he has done it to you multiple times. he also likes to be really unique with his compliments, like, ‘you’re pretty like a triple-layer cake!’ ‘what is that supposed to mean Jiji?’ ‘nothing!’. he is basically creative in complimenting that not only it could make you blush but also make you laugh. his goal is always to make you smile so his compliments are often humorous, even nonsensical but it always leave you blushing.
MOMO
her compliments are down-to-earth. she is never over-the-top praise, but when she does compliment, especially to you. she would say ‘you’re really cute in that outfit!’ or if she is flustered, she would just give you short compliments and act awkward around you for the whole day. she isn’t used to showing affection properly but her short yet sweet compliments always made your day.
ZUMA
he is more of a nonchalant side of giving a compliment tbh. a pretty chill guy. if you’re together, he’ll look at you seriously and say ‘you look beautiful today.’ despite looking like a gangster and acting like a gangster, his respect for women is on top, whenever he speaks to you it is always kind and sincere even when his face shows seriousness. after he compliments you, he’ll go right back to what he was doing like nothing happened.

I just want some fluff with a werebunny, preferably with children 😞🙏
A/N: this is a request for my 5K event! I am doing ALL requests I get within the next 24 hours, send one while you can!
You yawned as you curled up your kit, letting him suckle at your breast as your mate returned from doing some shopping.
“I’m back, my love…”
He purred in delight at the sight of his kit nursing, his tiny hands kneading at your breast and little bunny tail wagging.
“Hungry little one, isn’t he?”
Your mate bent over, making sure you and your kit were comfortable before setting you up with a snack to eat and water drink.
“I’ll make dinner, just relax…”
“Daddy!”
Your daughter toddled into the room, sucking on her thumb, her fluffy little bunny ears flicking as she held onto her father’s leg. “Up! Up!”
Your heart soared watching your husband lift your daughter up and cover her little face in kisses. As she giggled, your son babbled incoherent. He had just unlatched, his chubby baby belly full of warm milk.
“Mommy, mommy!”
Your daughter pointed to you, wanting to see her baby brother. “Okay baby, I’ll carry you. Just be careful, keep your little hands to yourself okay?”
He crouched down, and she looked on at awe at her sleeping baby brother. “I love you, bubby…”
She kissed his forehead, making both of you coo at how adorable the interaction was. “Come on, I need my little helper in the kitchen.”
You mouthed a little thank you as your husband left with your daughter so you could rest, sighing and leaning back.
Life was good, and you were as happy as could be.

Sunshine
sana x fem reader
fluff
Part two!
She’s a teacher and she flirts, you’re the librarian and you blush!
nayeon, mina, momo, tzuyu and chaeyoung are kids in this! jeongyeon is the integration aide, jihyo is the principal, dahyun is the nurse!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Miss Sunshine! Miss Sunshine! How was your weekend? How are the baby bunnies in your backyard? Are they okay? Are they eating? Are they getting bigger?"
You smile at the excited little voice that bursts into the library. Without even looking up from the books you're shelving, you know it's Nayeon—and that Sana's class must be right behind her.
"Miss Sunshine!!"
The kids started calling you that all thanks to Sana, who can’t seem to stop flirting with you. She always calls you "Sunshine" whenever she sees you, whether it’s in the hallways, the teachers' lounge, or the library. It didn’t take long for the kids to catch on and make it their own, and now her entire class knows you by that name.
Sana’s playful grin from across the room never fails to make you blush, though you try your best to act unfazed. She leans casually against the doorframe, watching you, waiting for your reaction.
"Hey, Sunshine," she calls softly, just loud enough for you to hear but too quiet for anyone else to catch.
You shoot her a quick glance before going back to placing books on the shelves, doing your best to ignore her teasing.
“Miss Sunshineeeee, the bunnies!” Nayeon whines, huffing dramatically as her tiny hands reach up to tug at your shirt.
You can’t help but smile. Leaning down to her level, Nayeon’s face lights up, her two front teeth proudly on display, and her tongue slipping over the gap where she’s lost a canine. It’s a bit of a mess to look at, but she’s so full of joy that it’s endearing.
“They’re doing very well, Nayeon,” you say, grinning at her excitement. “The babies have opened their eyes!”
Nayeon squeals with delight, immediately running over to Momo and wrapping her in a tight hug before tugging at Mina’s arm. Giggling, she excitedly shares the good news about the baby bunnies with her friends.
You chuckle softly, watching the scene unfold. Momo yawns and sighs, her bangs so long they nearly cover her eyes, while Mina listens intently, smiling shyly and nodding as Nayeon chatters away. The contrast between them makes you grin—Momo, always a bit disheveled and sleepy, and Mina, ever so quiet and attentive.
As you shelve the last book, you notice Sana approaching with her signature confidence. She clears her throat, a playful smile on her lips.
“I was thinking,” she starts, leaning casually against the shelf, “how about we grab a quick coffee in the lounge?”
You roll your eyes, smiling despite yourself. “Sana, you have a class to take care of,” you remind her, glancing over at the group of students scattered around the library.
She leans in a little closer, her voice dropping to a soft murmur. “They’ll survive without me for a few minutes. Plus, I could use a little sunshine to brighten my day.”
You bite back a grin, trying not to give her the satisfaction. “You’ve got an entire class of kids depending on you, Sana,” you repeat, your voice light but firm.
She tilts her head, her eyes locking onto yours with a playful gleam. “Yeah, but none of them are as cute as you.”
You try to suppress a smile, knowing she’s pushing all the right buttons. “You’re going to get in trouble, Miss Minatozaki.”
She shrugs, unfazed. “What’s a little trouble when I get to be with you? We’ll keep the library door open, and I promise we’ll be quick. If anything comes up, I’ll be right back.”
This girl…
"Fine."
Sana’s face brightens, and she grabs your hand, pulling you toward the lounge. But just before you exit the library, she pauses and turns back to the group of kids still scattered around.
“Hey, everyone!” she calls out, her voice warm and bright. “I’m just stepping out for a quick coffee. You all behave while I’m gone, okay?”
A few kids look up, and Chaeyoung, with her braces gleaming, raises her hand. “Miss Minatozaki, can we come too?” Her lisp makes the question even more adorable.
She kneels down, her expression softening. “Oh, Chaeyoung, I’d love that! But I need you all to stay here for a few minutes.”
Chaeyoung pouts for a moment but then brightens. “Okay! But we’ll miss you!”
Sana smiles, her eyes shining with affection. “I’ll miss you too! Just make sure to help each other out while I’m gone, alright? If you all do a good job, I’ll have a surprise for you later!”
“What kind of surprise, Miss Minatozaki?” Many little voices all chime in together.
“Ah, that’s a secret! But if I come back and everything’s gone smoothly, I’ll share it with you,” she giggles, standing up and reaching for your hand again.
Their eyes widen in delight. “Okay! We’ll be super good!”
“I know you will! Just keep an eye on each other, alright? I’ll be back before you know it!”
With that, she leads you out of the library and into the hallway. The sounds of the school fade behind you as the two of you make your way to the staff lounge. It’s quiet when you arrive, the room empty, other than the faint sound of the coffee machine humming in the corner.
Sana moves to the counter with a practiced ease, immediately grabbing two cups. “Caramel macchiato for you, right?” she asks, so familiar.
You blink, surprised. “You know my order?”
She gives you a sideways smile, half-shy, half-playful. “You think I haven’t been paying attention?”
“I didn’t think you noticed the small stuff.”
“I notice everything,” she replies, her eyes flicking to yours before lingering just a little too long. There’s something different in her gaze. It’s soft, but with an intensity that makes you shift on your feet.
Sana steps a little closer, the warmth of her body just barely brushing yours. “You know,” she murmurs, her voice lower now, “you’re not as unreadable as you think.”
You blink, caught off guard by the sudden shift. “What do you mean?”
She tilts her head, a teasing smile curling her lips. “I mean, I’ve been watching you. The way you bite your lip when you’re trying to act all composed, the way your eyes flicker when you think I’m pushing a little too far.”
Your pulse quickens, and you can’t quite find the words to respond. Sana notices your hesitation, her grin widening. She takes another step, close enough now that the scent of her perfume—light and sweet—fills the air between you.
“And the way you’re looking at me right now,” she continues, her voice barely above a whisper, “like you’re trying so hard to keep that guard up.”
Your breath catches in your throat as her eyes trace your face, lingering on your lips for a fraction of a second. She leans in, her voice a soft, teasing purr. “You don’t have to pretend around me, you know.”
“I’m not pretending,” you manage to say, though it comes out weaker than you’d intended.
Sana raises an eyebrow, clearly amused. “Oh really? Then what’s stopping you?”
The fact that you flirt with everyone and I’m probably not that special to you.
You open your mouth to answer, but she’s already leaning closer, her breath ghosting against your skin as she speaks again. “You know, I could make it easier for you. If you’d just… let me.”
The room feels warmer. Her fingers brush against yours as she hands you your coffee, her touch lingering, her gaze never wavering from yours. The way she’s looking at you, like she’s daring you to say or do something, makes your heart race.
“I…” You trail off, unsure of how to respond, your mind racing to catch up with what’s happening.
Sana smirks, clearly enjoying your reaction. “See? You’re cute when you’re flustered.”
You’re about to respond—try to salvage what’s left of your composure—but the words are stuck in your throat. The way she’s looking at you, her proximity, the heat of the moment—it’s all too much. Just when you think you might actually combust from the tension between you, the door to the lounge bursts open.
Jihyo storms in, her face etched with frustration, dragging a pale-looking Tzuyu behind her. “Sana!” Jihyo’s voice is sharp, and it immediately cuts through the air between you two.
Both you and Sana jerk back, the flirty atmosphere shattered in an instant. Sana straightens up, blinking as if she’s just been snapped out of a trance. “Jihyo?” she stammers, clearly caught off guard.
“Where the hell were you?” Jihyo demands, her eyes flashing with anger. “Your class has been unsupervised for who knows how long! Tzuyu was sick, and no one was there to help her.”
Tzuyu, standing beside Jihyo, looks unsteady, her skin pale and clammy. She weakly lifts a hand to wave, her voice quivering. “I threw up…”
Sana’s face pales instantly, guilt flooding her features. She rushes forward, concern replacing the flirtatious edge she had moments ago. “Tzuyu, oh my god, are you okay?” She kneels down to Tzuyu’s level, eyes scanning her worriedly.
Tzuyu nods feebly but doesn’t look well. Jihyo crosses her arms, her expression still stormy. “Sana, you can’t just leave your class unsupervised! What if something worse had happened?”
Sana glances back at you, guilt written all over her face. Her confident, teasing demeanor is completely gone now, replaced by genuine worry. “I’m sorry, Jihyo. I—I didn’t think… I’ll take care of this right away.”
Without another word, she turns back to Tzuyu, gently guiding her towards the door. “Come on, let’s get you to the nurse.”
As they leave, Jihyo gives you a hard stare, her disappointment clear. “You too. This isn’t a playground. Don’t let her drag you into this next time.”
You nod, feeling a knot of guilt tighten in your chest as you watch them walk out, the lounge suddenly feeling a lot colder and emptier than before.
~~~
At the nurse’s office, Sana sits on the edge of the desk, watching as Dahyun checks Tzuyu’s temperature. Tzuyu, looking slightly better but still exhausted, is lying down, her eyes half-closed as she rests.
“Her fever’s gone down,” Dahyun says softly, smoothing the blanket over Tzuyu. “She just needs to sleep it off. Her parents will be there soon.”
Sana lets out a sigh of relief, running a hand through her hair. “Thanks, Dahyun. I should’ve been with her earlier…”
Dahyun looks over at her, a knowing smile tugging at her lips. “Mmm, I heard you were… preoccupied.”
She shifts in her seat, trying to play it cool. “I—uh, yeah, I was just grabbing coffee with—”
Dahyun raises an eyebrow, cutting her off. “With her. Again.” She chuckles, clearly amused by the whole situation. “You really couldn’t wait until after work to flirt, huh?”
Sana feels the heat rush to her cheeks, a mix of embarrassment and defensiveness bubbling up. “It’s not like that! I just wanted to—”
“To what? Casually flirt during work hours like you do every single day?” Dahyun teases, crossing her arms as she leans against the counter. “Come on, Sana. If you really want her, you’re gonna have to step up your game. I mean, you’re smooth and all, but maybe she’s not picking up on it.”
Sana stares at her, confused. “What do you mean? I flirt with her all the time! How much clearer can I be? She has to know by now, right?”
Dahyun shakes her head, laughing softly. “Apparently not. If she knew, she’d probably have made a move by now too, don’t you think? Or maybe she’s just oblivious. Either way, you’re gonna have to do more than your usual teasing.”
Sana frowns, genuinely perplexed. “But I’m always complimenting her, giving her all my attention. How am I supposed to step it up?”
Dahyun giggles again, clearly enjoying this. “Maybe stop trying to make her flustered all the time and just be real with her. Ask her out for real. You know, something that’s not in the middle of a workday with your class waiting on you.”
Sana groans, leaning back in her chair. “But that’s my thing! The flirting, the teasing—it’s how I show I like her.”
Dahyun shrugs. “Yeah, well, maybe she doesn’t get it. You might need to try a different approach, or she’s just going to think you’re playing games forever.”
Sana bites her lip, mulling over Dahyun’s words. Could it really be that simple?
~~~
You sigh, kneeling beside the overturned pot, staring at the dirt and wilted leaves scattered on the floor. "We told Tzuyu to throw up in the plant like we’ve seen in the movies!" Chaeyoung’s lisped explanation echoes in your head, and you still can’t quite believe it. Momo, standing beside her, had nodded solemnly like they’d been performing some sort of public service. Who would’ve thought these kids would take movie scenes so literally?
The plant, unfortunately, looks beyond saving. You sigh again, preparing to toss it out when the soft creak of the library door catches your attention.
“Hey, Sunshine,” Sana’s voice calls gently from behind you.
You turn, finding her leaning in the doorway, her usual playful glint missing from her eyes, replaced by something more caring. There’s a tenderness in the way she approaches you, crossing the room to stand by your side.
“They really told her to throw up in the plant, huh?” she asks, crouching down beside you, her gaze landing on the poor mess.
You nod, letting out a weary chuckle. “Yup. Chaeyoung and Momo were the masterminds behind that one.”
Sana sighs softly, shaking her head in amusement. “Kids.” She reaches out to brush a bit of dirt off the pot, her fingers gentle as she surveys the damage. “Looks like we’re going to need a new plant.”
You give her a small smile. “Yeah, this one’s seen better days. I was just about to throw it out.”
Sana glances at you, her expression soft. “You don’t have to do all this alone, you know. It’s recess. I’ve got time to help clean up.”
You blink, a bit surprised by her offer. “Sana, it’s okay, really. You don’t need to—”
“I want to,” she interrupts. She kneels down next to you, grabbing a rag without hesitation. “Besides, you’ve had a day too. Let me help.”
There’s no teasing in her tone, no flirty banter like usual. Just sincerity. It takes you off guard, making you pause for a second longer than you’d like to admit. You’ve always known Sana as playful, but this side of her feels different—softer, more genuine.
“Well, if you insist,” you finally say. “We can clean up this mess together.”
She smiles, warm and gentle, and for the first time today, the chaos doesn’t feel so overwhelming.
Oh, Sana.
~~~
The staff room is filled with murmurs and the low rustle of papers as everyone takes their seats for the meeting. You sit quietly in the corner, mind still lingering on the events of the day. Sana sits a few chairs away, casually leaning back, though you notice her glancing in your direction now and then. You try not to think too much of it, though the air feels tense, like something big is about to drop.
Jihyo stands at the front, her usual composed self, though there’s an unmistakable tension in her expression. When she finally clears her throat, the room falls silent.
“Thank you all for coming,” she starts, her tone a little heavier than usual. “I wish I had better news, but I’ll get straight to the point. We’re going to be receiving significantly less funding this semester.”
The room goes silent for a beat before the groans start. You feel your stomach drop as whispers grow louder. Jeongyeon, sitting a few rows ahead, is visibly tense, her hands clenching at the edges of the table.
“This is fucking bullshit!” Jeongyeon suddenly shouts, standing up and slamming her hands on the table. “How are we supposed to do our jobs with less money? We barely have enough as it is!”
The room shifts uncomfortably at her outburst, but no one dares to disagree. You feel your heart sinking deeper, anxiety creeping up at the thought of how this will affect the library. Jihyo raises her hands, trying to calm everyone down.
“I know,” Jihyo says, her voice firm but empathetic. “I’m well aware of how difficult this will make things for all of us. But we’re going to have to make cuts. I’m reallocating some of the budget to other departments that are in more immediate need.”
Jeongyeon huffs, dropping back into her seat with a frustrated scowl, but Jihyo continues.
“And unfortunately,” she adds, pausing to look around the room, “the library’s budget is going to be completely cut. The funds will be redistributed to cover the gaps elsewhere.”
You freeze.
Completely cut?
It feels like the room closes in around you as the weight of the news settles in. You try to process the words, but they hit too hard, too fast. All you can think about are the kids—the ones who rely on the library for a quiet space, for books, for learning. The ones who look to you for help and guidance. How are you supposed to do your job with no funding?
You want to say something, to speak up, but the shock has stolen your voice. It’s unfair—not just to you, but to the kids. Your chest tightens, but all you can do is sit there, stunned into silence.
That’s when you hear Sana’s voice cut through the tension. “Wait, hold on a second.”
All eyes turn to her as she stands, her expression serious, but there’s a protectiveness in her tone. “Jihyo, you can’t just cut the library’s funding entirely. That’s going to hurt the students more than anything. They need the library—it’s not just a luxury; it’s essential.”
Jihyo meets her gaze, looking torn but resolute. “I understand that, Sana, but we don’t have the resources. Something has to give.”
Sana shakes her head, stepping forward. “I get that everyone’s under pressure, but cutting the library’s budget completely? That’s not the solution. You’re taking away a vital space for the students. You’ve seen how many kids depend on it every day. How is that fair to them? Or to—” she glances over at you, her eyes softening for a moment “—to the people who work hard to make sure they have that space?”
Your breath catches, realizing she’s speaking up for you, for the library, for the kids. There’s a quiet strength in the way she stands, not backing down.
Jihyo looks conflicted, her hands gripping the edges of the table as she exhales. "We don’t have many options right now, but I hear you, Sana. I’ll see if there’s anything we can do to minimize the cuts. But there will still be sacrifices."
Sana nods, her gaze steady. “I just don’t want the library to disappear because it’s too important. We can’t forget what it means to these kids.”
You glance at Sana, a wave of gratitude swelling in your chest. Even in the middle of the mess, she’s still looking out for you. It’s the first time you’ve felt a little bit of hope since Jihyo dropped the bombshell.
Jihyo gives a tired nod, signaling the end of the conversation for now. “We’ll revisit this later. Thank you, everyone.”
As the room slowly begins to clear, you sit there, still processing. Sana walks over to you, a soft, reassuring smile on her face.
“Don’t worry, Sunshine,” she says gently. “We’ll figure something out. I won’t let them forget how important you are to this school. Or the library.”
~~~
It was another bustling day in the library as Sana’s class visited to pick out new books for the upcoming week. You were cataloging items at your desk, the familiar comfort of your work surrounding you. You spotted Sana in the hallway, animatedly discussing projects with Jeongyeon when a group of five little girls approached you, their eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Miss Sunshine…” they whispered in unison, their tone conspiratorial.
You looked up, curious. “What’s going on?”
Nayeon stepped forward, her expression serious. “I think Miss Sana has butterflies for you.”
You raised your brows, intrigued. “Oh really?”
Chaeyoung nodded vigorously as she added, “Yeah! She has a crush!”
You couldn’t help but smile, leaning in a little closer. “A crush, huh? What makes you say that?”
They all nodded eagerly. Mina leaned in, her voice barely a whisper. “She likes you, Miss Sunshine.”
You leaned forward to catch her words, feeling a warm blush creep onto your cheeks. “She likes me?”
Tzuyu chimed in, “You’re her sunshine. I heard it! She told the nurse!”
You laughed, the warmth in your cheeks growing. “Did she send you all to tell me this?”
Momo yawned, brushing her thick bangs away from her face. “She’s weird. When you walk past our class, she always stops teaching, and it’s not like we’ve been bad. She usually only does that when we’re talking over her!”
You shook your head, amusement dancing in your eyes. “I guess she just can’t help but get distracted by her favorite librarian.”
The girls giggled, their joy contagious.
“What’s so funny?” Sana asked, hands on her hips as she walked closer to the desk.
The girls turned to her, their excitement bubbling over. Nayeon quickly pointed at you. “We were just telling Miss Sunshine that you have butterflies for her!”
Sana raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk appearing on her lips. “Oh really? What gave that away?”
Chaeyoung giggled, “You always stop teaching when she walks by! And your face turns red!”
You felt your cheeks heat as Sana leaned in slightly, her voice low and teasing. “Looks like I can’t hide anything from my favorite little spies,” she said, winking at the girls. “But you all have to keep it a secret! You can’t let my Sunshine know that I like her!”
The girls erupted into giggles, and you couldn’t ignore the flutter in your heart.
They giggled and exchanged glances, clearly thrilled by the little secret they were part of. Nayeon leaned closer to you, “Miss Sunshine, do you like Miss Minatozaki back?”
You felt your heart race and glanced at Sana, who was watching you with a playful smile. “Well, she’s… nice,” you managed to say, your cheeks warming.
Sana feigned surprise, placing a hand on her chest. “Just nice? I was hoping for more than that!”
The girls burst into laughter, their excitement infectious. Tzuyu piped up, “You should tell her you like her, too!”
You laughed, shaking your head. “I don’t think it’s that simple.”
Sana stepped closer, her eyes sparkling with something. “Maybe it is,” she said, her tone so incredibly gentle. “You never know unless you try.”
~~~
A few weeks later, the library was dimly lit as you and Sana unpacked boxes of new books, the excitement from the recent funding shift making you both so happy.
Sana leaned in closer, her shoulder brushing against yours as she reached for a book. “You know, I could really help you focus,” she teased, her voice soft and inviting.
You tried to concentrate, but then she pressed a gentle kiss to your cheek, lingering just a moment longer. “You look so pretty when you’re deep in thought,” she murmured, her breath warm against your skin.
Flustered, you replied, “Sana, we shouldn’t—”
Before you could finish, she kissed your neck, sending a rush of warmth through you. “Just a little distraction,” she whispered, nibbling playfully at your ear.
You let out a soft laugh, feeling your resolve melt away. “Okay, maybe just a quick break.”
With a bright smile, she pulled back to meet your gaze. “You really are amazing, you know. So smart and talented. So kind to the kids and everyone around. A literal sunshine,” she said, wrapping her arms around your waist and leaning in to place a sweet peck on your lips, a tender touch that left you breathless.
She stepped back, her eyes sparkling with affection, “And I have to thank those little wingwomen for setting this up. They really know how to play matchmaker, don’t they?”
You smiled, your heart swelling. “They’re so adorable and they probably learned that from you, miss flirt.”
Sana giggled. “Maybe. Now let’s get out of here, beautiful. I want to enjoy the rest of the day with you.”
Hand in hand, you walked out of the school, the cool evening air wrapping around you both.
"Come on, my sunshine!"
Flirty Gojo
Tumblr media
Gojo loves working to get you.
Gojo will flirt with you even when he has you. “It keeps the romance alive” he says, and it true. You giggle and hide your face when he compliments you like he wants your number. Huge bouquets are sent to your place of work with lovey doves notes attached to them to keep everyone ooh-ing and ahh-ing over your desk. Weekly dates are a must, often planned, or completely made up on the fly, by him unless you want to take control.
There’s nothing better than the feeling of walking in front of Gojo and he pretends to faint from your beauty. It’s silly and makes you laugh, and then he’ll go down to put on your shoes, fix your hair, kiss your nose. He’s excited to show you off, to show the world how you chose him and he’s gonna make sure he’ll earn it. Gojo loves love, he loves you, and wants to keep loving you until the end of time.
“I’m actually kind of excited for this project! I’m really hoping whoever I’m paired with wants to get the nature prompt too. Especially because the mountains are literally right there.” pointing out the window to show an array of different hilltops that you and your friends frequented for the trails.
“I hope I get the ocean.” Tzuyu, your best friend, flips her hair and checks out the girl who sat in the corner of the study hall.
“You just want to work with Chaeyoung…and she wants the ocean prompt…you can’t even swim.” smirking and giving a light chuckle while shaking your head no in a half hearted tease.
Tzuyu whips her head around, gawking at you while giving her classic “oh my god shut up” look before giving up and swooning over Son Chaeyoung again.
“Well…maybe she will teach me.” sighing as she rests her head on her palm and daydreams about getting partnered with her crush.
“I truly don’t even care who I get partnered with, I just want the mountains. It would be fun to go explore and find animals in their natural habitats, don’t you think?” excitedly leaving your lips as Tzuyu is lost in her delusion.
“Alright everyone!” the professor calms everyone down, bringing their attention to the front of the room.
“We will be doing the pairings for the project shortly, but before we do, I’ve got a new student want to introduce you to!” ushering them into the class room.
Bright blonde hair in a bob style was the first thing you noticed, a red polo that’s cropped and had white stripes across the shirt horizontally was second, the pants were brown and high waisted and her sneakers tied all the colors together.
The girl turns to face the class and immediately your stomach drops, a small gasp follows the dip in your stomach when you realize who she is and why you know her.
“Everyone! This is Momo. She just transferred here from across town. Momo is a very talented photographer, some of her pictures have been featured on the schools website! We are very excited to have you here Momo.” the professor nods her head at Momo and then looks at the class.
“And I’m sure everyone is going to make you feel welcome, right class?” a glare from the teacher and everyone is nodding their head.
Momo finds a seat in the back of the class room next to Chaeyoung and makes small talk with her and you try not to freak out.
“Damn, did you see blondie? She’s kinda cute.” biting her lip and making her eyebrows dance at you continuing her normal playful antics.
“Tzu…I hate to break this to you but no way in HELL am I speaking to that woman.” the distain in your voice could’ve been picked up a mile away.
“Why not? What’s wrong with her? She’s got a fashion sense, the blonde bob is working for her AND she’s a good photogra-”
“That’s Sana’s best friend, Tzuyu.” cutting her off mid sentence so she could understand the gravity of this.
“Sana’s best friend?? Oh, shit.” her typical doe-eyed expression molted into a stunned appearance as she brings her full attention to you for the first time today.
“Yeah, oh shit is right.” rolling your eyes and crossing your arms before laying your head on the desk.
Sana….Minatozaki Sana, your ex-girlfriend. The relationship between the two of you was…well, it wasn’t great.
Hence, the ex part.
You dated for a few years and she was always busy with everyone but you, including Momo. Prioritizing everything but you and your relationship, it hurt you. Of course, it hurt you. At the drop of a hat, you would’ve done anything for her but it wasn’t a shared sentiment.
Not that you and Momo didn’t get along but she always kept to herself when you were around, not wanting to partake in conversations, even small talk, seemingly keeping a distance.
Getting over Sana wasn’t easy by any means. The way she made you feel altered your brain chemistry, and not for the better. Feeling like an accessory to her, only really calling you when she wanted you around her arm, was excruciating every single time.
Still trying to heal from the open wound Sana left you with, you remember the times that didn’t seem so bad. The memories flashing before your eyes before settling coldly in your chest, you weren’t going to crucify Sana but you did still hold some anger towards her.
“Y/n!” professor shouting your name to get your attention.
Startled by this, you jump in your seat - causing a small wave of laughter through the classroom.
“You’ll be paired with Momo. I trust that you will teach her anything she might be behind on, should there be anything.”
The fakest smile you can muster graces your face, even if you were internally screaming - hellfire, blood and brimstone in your lungs because of course this is your luck.
“I’d be happy to.” through clenched teeth.
The professor gives you a strange look and then carries on with pairing people. Tzu and Chae got paired together, Tzuyu almost fell out of her seat when the professor partnered them up.
“You will be responsible for taking pictures of animals and their natural habitats in order to capture unique moments in nature as if it’s for national geographic. Due to to safety concerns, we will be excepting shots from farther away than normal. If any of you see a larger animal that can cause harm, DO NOT APPROACH IT. I’m looking at you, Chaeyoung. That’s why you and Tzuyu are paired up so she can keep you out of trouble…and why you got the ocean prompt you wanted…I don’t want another replay of last time, do you understand?” the tone of her voice is somehow stern, yet playful.
Last project, Chaeyoung befriended the raccoons behind the school, bringing them into class to show them off with the pictures she took of them. They created a massive mess in the classroom and have been trying to sneak back into the building sense.
“I wouldn’t be able to bring a shark in here anyways…” Chaeyoung rolled her eyes at the professor before making eye contact with Tzuyu and offering a wink to her.
Chae has to know, especially with the shade of red that Tzuyu turned when she saw the wink, along with the little gasp - she turned away and proceeded to gay panic to you about it.
Too lost in thought and worried about how this project was going to go, unable to think about anything else. You even considered not participating in it, despite how excited you were moments ago.
It was too big of a grade to skip out on, unfortunately.
The bell rings and you are out the door so quickly, leaving Tzuyu behind and practically running to your car.
“Hey! Wait!” a voice calls from behind you.
Stopping dead in your tracks, you knew exactly who it was.
Tensing up, you take a deep breath and turn around slowly to see Momo jogging towards you, trying to catch up to you with a sheepish smile on her face.
“Hey.” offered to her only out of wanting to be polite.
“Hi.” she offers the same fake niceties back to you.
Both of you shuffle your feet around, not really knowing what to say before she breaks the silence.
“I know this is going to be a little weird considering…but I know you’re very creative and I did always admire the pictures that you took so maybe we can put all the weirdness aside and just do the project?” there’s something genuine about this that peaks your interest.
Hirai Momo, best friend of Minatozaki Sana was being nice to you…?
“I can put my anger aside to work together in this sense.” Momo squints her eyes at you.
There it is.
“HA! Your anger? What could you possibly be angry about Momo? Me breaking up with your best friend because she treated me like shit and decided to only be my girlfriend when she wanted to? Or was it something else?” the sharpness of your tone and remarks catch her off guard, not expecting you to react the way you did.
“Wow, Sana was right…you really are a bitch.”
“Wow, you really are Sana’s best friend…can’t even think of a proper comeback, can you? Do you get mad when people stand up to you too?” rolling your eyes and sighing.
“You have my number. Text me when you’re less…whatever this weird defensive thing is.” turning and walking away for this weird situation you found yourself in.
Very happy to find your car, you slip into the drivers seat and take a deep breath. Unable to believe this was happening to you. She was pissed about what exactly?
“I guess it doesn’t matter.” said to yourself as you turn the key, sparking the ignition and driving off of campus to your apartment.
“I can’t fucking believe her.” pacing around your small shared apartment on the northside while Tzuyu is checked out and scribbling hearts with and initials, T+C to be exact.
Stopping in your tracks, you turn to face Tzuyu who is laying down on her stomach on the couch, kicking her feet and humming to herself.
“Tzu…are you even listening?” snarky in your question because you knew the answer was no.
“Of course! Momo sucks and Sana sucks. That’s the tldr.” going back to doodling her hearts in her notebook.
Scoffing at her, you plop next to her on the couch and turn on the TV. Grabbing your back pack and pulling out your laptop.
Time to make a list of the animals that you’d try to take pictures of, depending on what was out at the time. I was close to fall so the odds of a few different animals being visible was high.
The national park website was a nightmare to navigate, you click on a few different links and compile a list of what you should be looking for.
-***Otters*** (prevalent in national parks, should be able to find them easily- in or around the rivers)
-***Deer*** (also prevalent in parks, kind of everywhere so just…look?)
-***Black Bears*** (omnivores and should get picture from distance if seen)
-***Barn Owl*** (Not rare, but cute)
-***Maybe a leopard..?*** (super rare, less that 100 but what a dream that would be)
-***Whatever else we see***
Focused on your research, your phone startles you when it goes off. Looking down to see her name just the way you typed it when you first met.
***Momo:*** Hey, I’m sorry about today. [4:12pm]
***Momo:*** I know that this is awkward and I’m sorry for being passive aggressive. [4:13pm]
***You:*** It’s fine. [4:15pm]
***Momo:*** So…how do you want to do this project? [4:17pm]
***You:*** Well, I’m going to go camping in the mountains that we have our assignment in this weekend. Friday to Sunday. [4:20pm]
***Momo:*** Great, I’m coming with you. I’ll pick you up at 3pm on Friday. [4:23pm]
***You:*** Fine. [4:25pm]
Tossing your phone on the couch, you look over at Tzuyu who is still in her own little world, texting who you can only assume is Chaeyoung.
“Oh my god, Chaeyoung just asked me if I wanted to go to the beach with her!” screeched out over the movie playing in the background.
“…For the project?” coming across as bitter in the moment, stress getting to you more than usual.
“Well…I mean, yes. But think about what you wear to the beach…and also it’s the beach!” jumping out of her previous position to hop up and down in place.
Rolling your eyes, you stand up and gather your things, backpack, laptop, and phone before making your way to your room.
“I’m happy for you, Tzu” trying not to sound dismissive as you close the door behind you and put your stuff down next to your desk in the corner.
Taking a deep breath- you try to forget. Not just the Momo situation but what it brings up for you. All the thoughts about Sana rush back into your mind’s eye, remembering all of what she put you through and the harsh words exchanged when the unhealthy relationship was brought to a point.
A single tear falls from your eye, though this was a year ago…it still bothered you. It rewired the way you thought about relationships and life with others. It made you want to isolate as she would say some horrific things to you subtly and wore you down until you thought she was the only person who could truly love you for you.
It was heavy to carry on your shoulders.
Plopping down on the bed, you try to decompress a little bit. A few deep breaths just to try and focus yourself back on the present, but it failed.
Dissociating for the rest of the night seemed to be your body’s plan, trying not to hurt your own feelings by reliving the memories with Sana and the future anxieties about having to work closely with Hirai Momo.
“I think that is everything.” whispered to yourself, sifting through the few changes of clothes and the camping equipment you decided to bring with you.
Most of the bigger things were in the truck of your car. The small grill, the wood for the fire, and a a cooler for some food you were going to bring with you. The tents you were bringing are currently tangled in your back seat but you would sort that out while you wait for Momo to arrive.
Not putting it past her to just leave you high and dry, you wonder if she will actually show up. Besides, her best friend was flaky, why wouldn’t she be?
Bringing down your bags to the car, you see Tzuyu is already gone. Chaeyoung and her went to the beach about an hour down south and rented an Air B&B so they could stay the weekend and complete their project.
A smirk on your face, you wonder how much of the project they will actually do considering Tzuyu is head over heels for Chaeng and Chaeyoung seemed interested enough to pay for the rental on the beach, which wasn’t exactly cheap for a broke college student.
Looking at your phone, the time reads 2:17pm. Momo said she would be here at 3pm so you’ve got 45-ish minutes to untangle these tents. Arguably the most important part of camping.
Not even bothering to ask Momo if she was going to bring anything, you just assumed she wouldn’t so you packed just about everything you would need - she would probably be unbearable the entire time and just complain like a certain someone she was close to.
Rolling your eyes at this scenario, you keep tugging at the ropes and trying to undo the massive knots that built up and strengthened over the years of sitting in storage.
A honk startles you out of concentration.
Looking up, you see a black SUV in the parking lot behind you. Blonde bob in the driver’s seat subtly waving at you. Waving her to come over to you, you say nothing. Just point at the pile of supplies that will sustain you for the next few days.
“Do you want me to load this up while you…uh, untangle that?” shouted out the window of the car.
“No, I’ll help you.” putting the tent back in the back seat of the car and closing the door, planning on returning to that after everything was packed up in the car.
Momo turns the car off and gets out. She’s wearing a crop top and some cargo pants, a little out of character for her but okay…we are camping, after all.
She walks around the car to open the trunk, you can’t help but notice how toned she is. Her abs and arms are muscular…No, no. You can’t have those thoughts about her. This is Sana’s best friend, snap out of it.
Bringing a few duffle bags to the trunk, you toss them in the back. Momo grabs the cooler full of ice and various food items and puts it in the trunk without even wincing….damn, she’s strong.
Once everything was done, Momo closed the trunk and you both got in the car.
“Alright, are you ready?” looking over at you, she was trying to be polite though you had a hard time believing that.
“Yeah.” softly as you turn your attention to your phone and try to tune her out.
“Are you sure? Because we are going to be out in the middle of a national forest so I just want to make sure everything you want, you have.” the tone this comes with is more caring that snarky, which surprises you.
“I’m sure.” Looking up from your phone to give her the smallest smile you could, she returns the gesture and starts driving towards the park where you would spend the next few days together.
The drive was long with no talking between the two of you, grateful she had good taste in music at least, you can’t help but wonder if this is as awkward for her as it is for you. 2 hours of music you both enjoyed was a better start to this adventure than you anticipated.
You didn’t know Momo well, but you knew her well enough to know that you had a few things in common. Photography being the biggest one, but you’re now discovering that music taste is also something that you shared.
“I love this song.” softly to her as she turns into the park.
“Me too.” as she pulled up to the small building that blocks off the entrance and rolls her window down.
“Good Evening! Do you have a reservation?” the man dressed in all khaki cheerfully asks as you pull out your ID.
“Yes, it should be under L/n Y/n.” chiming in from the seat over and passing your ID to him.
“Great, give me one moment.” the man walks back to the office and does something on his computer before returning with a tag for the rearview mirror of the car.
“You ladies will be on lot 64! Please remember to throw away your trash and leave the site how you found it! Here is a can of bear mace, just in case as it is the season where they are preparing to go into hibernation. Please also remember to not leave any food out as that attracts them! Enjoy your stay!” the man taps the car lightly and waves you off.
Find the spot was tricky, the numbers were not in order at all but you managed. Happy to see the spot was a little deeper in the woods and closer to the trails than you thought it would be - you could take better pictures this way and it was secluded, which was always nice.
Momo put the car in park and hopped out. You took your time, putting the bear mace in the glove box, taking a deep breath and closing your eyes before getting out.
She’s already in the trunk, unloading things and putting them where she thought they would go.
Helping her in this task, you start setting up.
Placing the wood to the side and gathering some of the dry leaves from the trees around you, being sure to push them away from the fire pit before building up the wood so it would catch easier.
The silence between the two of you is awkward, wondering if there would be any reprieve to the tension of being out here with someone you only saw in a negative light.
“Hey Y/n…” the tone takes you off guard, it sounds concerned.
“Yes, Momo?”
“Did you remember to pack the tents you were untangling?” her brows are furrowed, glaring at you because she already knows the answer.
“…Shit.”
“Shit is right… Don’t worry, that’s why I told you I was driving.” turning around to face the trunk of her car, before crawling inside.
“What do you mean?” confusion paints a picture on your face as you walk over and watch her pull a latch on the back seats and push them down, they hit the front and end up at an angle.
“Well, your car is a car. This being an SUV, if it rained or got too cold or anything, we could just sleep in the back. Like a back up plan, you know?” jumping out, she walks over to the driver’s seat and scoots it all the way up, doing the same for the passenger seat.
The back seats slip down past the front seats and land flatly, creating a somewhat spacious area. There is a small handle located on the floor of trunk in the SUV, Momo tugs on the latch and you hear the bulky plastic click, opening up her spare tire compartment.
“Can you toss me the sleeping bags?” a hand reaching out to catch them while she holds the door open.
Doing as she says, you bring her the sleeping bags and watch as she tugs a massive king sized fleece blanket out from the compartment and close it.
“I’m going to get a fire going…” quietly as she rustles around with the bags, linking them together and getting tangled in them.
“K!” shouted back to you as she starts to lay them flat and spread them out to fit the entire back of her car and partially up the sides of the back doors.
Walking over to the fire pit that previously had your attention, shoving more of the dried leaves into the bottom and stacking them against the wood that was holding itself up. Sparking your lighter, you put the flame to the kindling and let it catch before backing up.
The fire took no time to roar in front of you, catching the logs quickly and creating a lovely source of heat.
“Wow, I didn’t know you were a boy scout.” Momo walked over and nudged you playfully.
Smirking at the comment, you catch yourself before she sees the pleasant reaction from you. Brows furrowing before a monotonous dry “whatever,” leaves your lips.
“I’m going to walk down this trail and see what we are working with…stay with the fire.” before grabbing your backpack with your camera equipment and scurrying away from her.
There was little daylight left but you needed some time away from her, you were going to follow the path so it’s not like you would get lost. You just wanted a breather and to scout the area that you were in for potential spots to get the pictures you needed for this project.
It was astounding to you that she was being so…civil, especially considering the interaction you had with her on campus just a few days earlier. Deep in thought with this, you walk down the path, leaves crunching under your feet.
Some how the deep thoughts turned into you remembering her abs…how chiseled they were…and her arm muscles and the way she carried all that equipment without even breaking a sweat. Unable to remove her from your mind, you were frustrated with yourself.
Of course she was attractive, she always was but you can’t help but see her in a different light now. Not even knowing if she resented you for the past, it seems like she’s willing to let go of whatever grudge she might have been holding onto and that settled your mind more than you anticipated.
The crisp fall air was lovely this time of year, just nice enough to wear a hoodie and some jeans and be comfortable.
Perfect for this adventure, even if it was with Momo…but was Momo who you thought she was?
Rustling behind you startles you, freezing in place as you try to gauge where the sound was coming from. Rotating your back pack, you pull your camera out of it very slowly so whatever was behind you didn’t hear or run away as it might be an opportunity to snag a picture.
The sounds of the twigs snapping behind you was light, nothing that would’ve been a threat to you, thankfully. Quietly turning in place, a deer reveals itself to you from behind the shrubs of the path you had just walked past.
Looking over at you, you stand very very still, not wanting to frighten the deer…thought it was definitely a buck, big points on the antlers that were velvety, typical for this time of year, though you had never seen it yourself.
Lifting your camera to angle the shot properly, you are sure to zoom in on his face and click. Capturing the stillness of him in a millisecond. He hears the camera go off and looks directly at you.
A bit of nervousness shivers through you as you make eye contact with the buck, not too sure about the temperament when they’re in this part of their natural cycle.
Despite this, you take a few more shots of him. He decides you are not a threat and simply carries on his way.
Flipping through the pictures you just took, there is one in particular of him looking directly at you that you fall in love with. Starting to walk back towards camp as the evening turns into night, you reach camp right as the last drop of sun sulks behind the hills.
“Hey, Momo. Look at this.” walking over to where she placed the chairs in front of the fire without looking up from your camera.
Being so proud of this picture, you feel an excitement to show someone who also loves this hobby as much as you do.
“Oh, wow! That’s an amazing picture! Especially with the colors, the balance of them across the screen is fantastic.” Momo looks up at you, catching your eyes in the process and offers a smile.
Smiling back at her for the first time without hesitation, a warm feeling bubbles in your stomach. Quickly realize that maybe she wasn’t so bad after all…but you were still apprehensive on getting close to her.
There is no harm in a little kindness, right?
“While you were gone, I made you some dinner.” Momo turns her attention back to the fire that had a metal grate with four legs placed on top of it that she must have brought with her because it was not in what you packed.
A pan set on top of it, using a utensil she flipped over a piece of meat that she took upon herself to cook for you.
“You…cooked me dinner?” sitting down in the chair next to her before she offers you a fresh plate of veggies and steak with gravy drenching both.
“Well…yeah, I know that we haven’t exactly gotten off on the right foot…so I thought this might be a nice peace offering?” shying away from you as you start to slice the perfectly cooked beef.
“I will say…This is very gourmet for camping.” laughing as you took a bite of what she offered you, it was delicious.
Eyes widened and then close, humming into the mixture of flavors that paired so well. Immediately digging into another bite as soon as you swallow the first.
“Yeah, well I like to eat good food so you have to know how to cook at least a little bit for that to be consistent.” giggling at your reaction to your first bite.
“Peace offering accepted!” shouted while goofily pointing your fork in the air before taking another huge bite.
“I had no idea…” speaking with your mouth full because it’s just that good.
“That you could cook…” chopping down and enjoying the flavors thoroughly.
“Like THIS.” pointing down to the plate and swallowing your second bite.
“I think there might be a lot of things you don’t know about me, Y/n…” softly spoken to you over the chewing of your food and the crackling of the fire.
“You’re probably right…it’s not like she would ever let us get close enough to learn personal stuff about each other…and you did keep to yourself a lot when I was around.” thinking back, it was always weird how Sana kept you to herself.
Sure, you went to parties with her and out to dinner with her and friends, but anytime you struck up a conversation with anyone that wasn’t her, she would interject and try to get your attention.
Being blinded by her love bombing, you didn’t think it was for any reason in particular but you were now realizing that it might have been to keep you separate from those she held close so she could warp the narrative in her favor…
“She told me you broke up with her because you fell in love with someone else.” Momo recalled timidly.
“Sana said that you basically told her to fuck off because you wanted to sleep around and be with other people…she called me crying the night you broke up with her about it.” tensing at the memory, you freeze at the false claim spoken to you bashfully.
Blinking multiple times, you look at Momo in confusion.
“What?” the infliction of your words showed that they were essentially false, but you felt the need to defend yourself.
“That’s not true at all…I told her that I wanted to feel like a priority and not an accessory and if she couldn’t do that then I wanted to end things. She tried to justify the way she treated me but she couldn’t because she knew I wasn’t asking for too much. So I ended things. There wasn’t anyone else involved at all.” a single tear rolls down your cheek, reflecting Momo’s shock at the way you had been painted to her.
All this time, Momo assumed that you were just a shit person, without knowing your side of the story. Why wouldn’t she believe Sana? After all, she was her best friend. There was no reason to question her story until now.
“I’m so sorry…I shouldn’t have assumed that what she said was the truth…” A genuine apology, a nervous one, but real care was placed in those words she gave to you.
“It’s okay…it’s not like you knew what was going on behind the scenes…” reassuring her that you didn’t blame her for reacting the way she did.
“I should’ve known something was up though, especially with the way you reacted to me talking about being angry with you when we first spoke on campus. That’s why I’ve been trying to be nice because I don’t think the person that she described would have reacted that way or said what you did.” Her eyes shift to the ground, seemingly lost in thoughts about the stories that Sana told you about her, a twinkle of something else shined through but she was still too unfamiliar to tell what that was.
“Hey, Momo.” standing up and placing the rest of your food down on the small table between the chairs you both sat in.
“Hi, I’m Y/n” sticking your hand out to offer her a handshake.
Momo giggles and stands with you, placing her hand in yours and shaking it firmly.
“I’m Momo, it’s nice to officially meet the real you.”
“The feeling is mutual. Fresh start?” offered to her to see if maybe there was a friendship that could be built with her.
“Fresh start.”
Spending the next few hours taking about life and finding common interests was surprisingly easy for both of you.
Photography and dance were her main passions, she transferred to the college you both attended due to moving over in the area and the photography program.
Telling her about your experience with Sana and why you moved out here, the photography program of course, and to just get away from your home town where everything was tainted with the lavender flavor of Sana.
“Everything reminded me of her, so I left to get away from it all. There was too much history there for me so I decided I wanted a clean slate.” nodding your head and yawning as midnight approached.
“I can understand that.” Momo stands up and starts burning the paper plates you had eaten off of in attempts to clean up a little bit.
“I think it’s about time we head to bed, no? It’s getting late and we should get up early tomorrow and explore.” kicking some dirt into the fire that was dying down to kill it faster as you stood up and stretched.
“It’s cold tonight, I’m glad you drove.” chattered through your teeth while grabbing a lantern and a charger to plug into the car so you could charge your phone.
“Go get comfortable, I’ll be there in a moment.” straightening up the camp site some more as you made your way to the trunk, hanging the lantern by the handle on a hook that was attached to the ceiling for some light.
Momo laid out the sleeping bags in an interesting way, connecting the two via a zipper a the bottom and still allowing them to over lap at the top, creating one queen sized sleeping bag. The big fleece blanket was folded over the top of the connected wind breaker like material to add an extra layer of warmth.
Crawling in, you took off your hoodie, folding it up and using it as a pillow. Laying your head down made your eyes heavy, wrapped in the warmth of the woman-made cocoon. Fighting your eyes to try and stay awake, you wanted to wait for Momo but it seemed the full stomach, the chirping of the crickets, and calmness of the night got to you quickly.
Dozing off for a moment, you sleep softly before the REM cycle hits. The SUV’s suspension gives Momo away no matter how quiet she was trying to be to not disturb you.
Shifting in your spot, you open your eyes halfway to see her crawl under the covers after closing the trunk and locking the car from the inside. She’s brought your camera and hers with her into the car.
“While you were sleeping, I saw a barn owl and got a really cool shot of it. I’ll show you in the morning.” yawning as she finishes her sentence, turning the electric lantern off and you both drift off to sleep.
The sun shining through the back window wakes you up, checking your phone- it’s 7:15am and Momo is sound asleep next to you looking peaceful and delicate while she rests.
Admiring her for a moment, you take in her visage and wonder how you could ever assume this person could be anything other than what she showed you she was last night.
Sitting up, you stretch - cracking your back and taking a deep breath in before sneaking the keys away from her silently and opening the trunk to try and slip out without waking her.
Successful in this, you leave the trunk open and make your way to the fire pit to start a fire and make some coffee. Bringing a metal pitcher with you, filling it with two bottles of water and some instant coffee, you let it simmer on the fire and take in the morning air.
It was crisp outside, you wondered if it was going to warm up any today when you remembered what Momo said while you were half asleep last night about the picture she took.
Sneaking over to the car, you grabbed both your camera and hers so you could see the shot of the barn owl that she had taken.
Going back to the seat in front of the fire and turning the camera on, you come across a few shots of the bird in a tree with pitch blackness in the background. The owl being a little over exposed but still a very detailed picture that was worth some praise.
Flipping through, it looks like Momo took a few different shots of this owl from different angles. Hitting the button several times, you find a candid picture of yourself in what seems to be mid-laughter with the fire in front of you.
When did she take this…? Last night while you were talking?
The camera is suddenly snatched out of your hands aggressively. Looking up to see an annoyed Momo plopping down in the chair and glaring at you.
“I never told you that you could look through my pictures. I could’ve had private things on here!” the irritation she was feeling reverberated off every rib in the cage of your chest, worried that you might have just ruined the friendship you just cultivated with her.
“Momo…I didn’t mean to violate your privacy, I’m sorry. I was interested in the photo of the owl…” not mentioning the candid picture she took of you when you weren’t paying attention, not wanting to make the situation worse.
“Please don’t do that again.” pouring herself a cup of coffee and standing up, she starts walking down the trail by herself.
Time for her to get away from you for a moment, just like you took your space yesterday. Not chasing after her, just allowing her to take the time she needed to cool off - no matter how much you wanted to fix things.
While you watch as she walks down the trail and around the bend, your mind wanders back to that picture. The one of you laughing and smiling at her, the way your eyes sparkled…
Physically shaking your head and trying to knock the thoughts out of your brain, you decide to just focus on the nature around you to escape the thoughts of Momo and the picture…even if it was only for a moment.
Momo returned within the hour, camera in hand and excitement on her face. Running over to you and crouching down next to the chair you were relaxing in, too thrilled with the contents of her camera for pleasantries.
“LOOK!” shouted with pure enthusiasm as she flips through her camera so you could see the screen.
The picture showed of a leopard sleeping in a tall tree. The shot was perfectly exposed, no over saturation or awkward angles. Just a perfect picture of a very large and very rare cat snoozing on a branch.
“Holy shit!” loudly exclaiming as your eye widened in surprise.
There were less than 100 of those leopards out in the wild and this picture was immaculate.
“Right?!” Momo is bouncing up and down like a child who just got ice cream, shimmying goofily in place and waving her camera above her head in sheer joy.
Admiring her with her guard down, you admitted to yourself that she was more than pleasant to be around - her authentic self was lovely.
“That’s an incredible picture…I think you actually should submit that to national geographic…not even as a joke.” happy that she wasn’t angry at you anymore.
Just being around her when she’s beaming like this was a treat in itself…the warmth returns in your stomach, the bubbling up of something you now recognized but didn’t want to admit.
“You think I should?” Stoping her victory dance and looking to you for some direction in the matter.
“Absolutely! Look at it, I mean they could use this in texts books and so many different things…Momo, you have to submit this. No question.” Looking at the picture of the camera in her hand again, but you could feel her eyes on you.
“But do me a favor…be careful, please. I know you can probably fend for yourself but there are very dangerous animals around here and I don’t want you to get hurt…okay?” Gently spoken to her with care that had never threaded your words before.
Looking up, your eyes lock - there’s a bit of tension but it wasn’t the resentful tension that previously laid between the two of you a few days prior.
This was very different.
Momo’s eyes soften, half lidded in the way that she held your gaze.
Heart thumping in your chest when you realize what the tension is - this has sparked some panic in you.
Feeling the tips of your fingers quiver, you break the eye contact and kick the fire out. Grabbing your own camera that hung off the side of your chair, you walk up to Momo and smile.
“Well, we’ve got another full day here, why not explore a little together?” cocking an eyebrow at her before starting off down the trail with great haste, trying to out run the sparkling shiny feelings that would soon catch up to you.
“I think there’s a river up north a ways, why don’t we go see what we can find over there?” looking back to see her hurrying after you, blushing as she catches up.
There’s something here…you both feel it, right?
After walking and snapping pictures of the different flora in the area, you finally found what you had been looking for. 30 minutes of beautiful nature down the trail to find a crystal clear, calm river and the bridge that went over it where the trail continued on.
You and Momo walk down to the edge of the bank, looking over the water to see the fish swimming around along with a few otters underneath the bridge, holding hands to not get separated.
Nudging Momo with your elbow, she looks up at you in confusion. Putting your finger to your lips to keep her from speaking too loudly, you point over at the otters that were heading towards you - floating down stream lazily together, fast asleep.
Both of you grabbing your cameras, you snap pictures together. Both getting different angles and then making whisper suggestions to the other, ensuring not to wake up the sleeping water puppies - but then you get an idea.
“Hold this a second” hushed toned, handing her your camera before removing your shoes and socks.
Stripping your pants and shirt off so you’re just in your underwear, you take a step into the water and shiver for a moment.
Momo is beat red, trying not to look you up and down as you snatch your camera back from her and wade into the cold water to get a closer look at the otters and get a better shot of them.
Flush red, speechless, and completely taken off guard would be a very mild way to put what was currently happening to Momo. Her jaw was on the floor, her hands were sweating and she was shaking to take pictures of the otters from the bank.
Turning around and giggling at her, you wave to her to get her to come into the water with you. Waist deep and already snapping shot, she joins you in her sports bra and underwear, sheepishly.
“Don’t be so shy.” whispered to herself as she tries to get a clean shot of the otters, you find this to be adorable.
Unaware that you heard her, you look at her and realize that maybe that’s what the tension was. Maybe she just found you attractive and was unsure how to express it. Maybe it’s because you were Sana’s ex…maybe she didn’t want to cross boundaries… or maybe she didn’t care what you used to be and only really cared about who you are now.
But were you bold enough to make a move?
Was she bold enough for that? Seems like she might need a little encouragement.
That’s the question you asked yourself when your eyes lifted from your camera and you saw what could potentially be the scariest thing you have ever seen.
A massive black bear.
Not just any black bear though, a mama bear and her two cubs - seemingly having the same idea that you had.
Taking a dip on a nice day.
Stepping back slowly, you don’t think that they had seen you yet. Grabbing Momo’s arm you pull her, trying to get her to move without causing a panic.
“One second, I think I’m getting close to the shot I want.” whispered at you, completely oblivious to what was going on around the two of you.
“Momo, there isn’t time…take a step back. Now.” sternly breathed back to her.
“What are you tal- oh shit.” finally realizing the danger you both were in as she followed your movements backwards cautiously, without arguing further.
Slowly getting out of the water and making as little sound as possible, you grabbed your shoes and clothes, not bothering to put them on and crept back to the trail.
Momo slipped her pants and shoes back on while you snuck over to the bridge to see what the bears were doing and if they caught on to the fact that you were so close to them.
The cubs were playing around and splashing in the water and it looks like mama bear was just wading in the shallows, looking for some food - no doubt.
Utilizing the camera, you zoom into the cubs, framing them as best you could and snap a few pictures of them playing.
“They’re so cute.” coming from behind you, startling you.
Turning around to face the voice, you watch as she stands next to you. That’s when you fully realize how stunning Momo actually is.
The water that soaked her bra was dripping down her stomach, following the curves of her abs in a way that made you swallow every rude moment you ever said to her, the guilt weighing heavy in your stomach.
Momo was too distracted by the bears to even notice you gawking at her, so you took a step back and slipped your clothes on again, leaving your shirt off to try and dry out your bra.
She leans against the wood of the bridge with her head resting in her palm, admiring the cubs playful demeanor and sighing at the cuteness that they displayed, splashing around without a care in the world while mom kept watch.
Pointing your camera at her, you took a photo.
One single photo.
You’d argue it was the most perfect one.
“Are you ready to head back to camp?” inquired without looking in your direction, still looking in adoration at the creatures dancing in the water.
“I’d say so. I think we have all the pictures we need for the project too…so we could leave tonight if you want…” even with the suggestion, you could feel the knot of regret in your stomach.
Not really wanting to leave, you were enjoying this time with her - even if you didn’t want to admit it to yourself, let alone her.
“No, we should stay. You did pay for the two nights so we might as well use them! Plus, who knows what else we can see while we are here.” looking to you and offering a soft smile.
On the way back to camp, you are lost in your thoughts. Trying to organize your brain about this situation you find yourself in. Your ex girlfriends best friend…who you’re spending time with and actually enjoying spending time with…who can cook and likes to take pictures…who is adventurous…and also wildly attractive…
Oh boy.
It snaps into your mind like a rubber band shot across the room, a flash of lightening igniting your entire nervous system into flames and disintegrating you into a complete pile of chemically compounded dust.
You like her.
You romantically like her.
“Well, shit.” unintentionally out loud for the entire forest to hear, Momo included.
“Is everything okay?” stopping in her tracks and checking in with you.
“Yes, yes. Everything is fine. I was just lost in thought.” trying to avoid the conversation entirely as you weren’t really sure if you were ready to tell her your new intel about this crush you now have on her.
“Are you sure? I’m here for you…if you want me to be.” turning to face you and placing her hand on your upper arm.
Swooning was an understatement.
Her touch was like that of a thousand suns burning your skin all at once, the warmth, the care and the undivided attention of her left you wondering what it would’ve been like if you actually got the chance to get to know her before Sana.
If you would’ve dated, or had more positive interactions.
If her judgement of you wouldn’t have been warped by someone else’s lies.
“Thanks Momo…that means a lot coming from you.”
She offers a smile and you both continue walking back to camp with you still completely lost in the “What ifs”
This night was similar to the last, Momo made dinner again, similar to the night before but with a little twist. You broke out a bottle of tequila and some pineapple juice you had tucked away and you drank with her and shared some of your fondest memories from your childhood.
She shared with you the asperations of her life, how she wanted to be a professional photographer and that she actually would prefer to shoot models and fashion but really enjoyed the photography you guys did together on the trip.
The drinks were working on you, loosening you up and making you more carefree. Allowing her to know the real you was not as tough are you thought, thank you tequila.
Building up the courage, you finally ask her a question that had been burning on your mind since you saw the proof this morning.
“Hey, Momo? Can I ask you something?” apprehensive even with the alcohol in your system.
“Of course, you can ask me anything.” taking a swig of her drink and a bite of the meal she made for the two of you.
“Why did you take that picture of me last night?”
Momo freezes, it was very obvious that she was not expecting that to be the question you were going to ask.
Taking another big swig of her drink, polishing the glass off before looking at you and placing her elbows on her knees, clasping her hands together - she took a deep breath and what came next, shocked you.
“Do you want the truth?” voice shaky while she builds up her courage.
Unable to help but admire how adorable she is when she’s nervous, you try to break the tension she’s holding within herself.
“Lie to me.” laughing as you say it.
Momo cracks a smile and then takes one more deep breath.
“I’ve had a crush on you since before you and Sana dated.”
“What?”
“Yeah, I saw you in the halls at school and thought you were so beautiful…I stupidly pointed that out to her and she decided to go after you. That’s why she never let us get close…that’s also why her and I are no longer close…” exhaling after the sentence to relieve the stress.
Everything now makes sense, the dinner, the way she made the bed in the trunk, the making sure she spent time with you on this project and the most important thing being that comment she made about her anger…she was never angry at you, only angry at the situation and the judgement you placed on her because of Sana.
“…I had no idea…I thought you hated me because of what happened between Sana and I…I didn’t realize…”
“I know you didn’t…but don’t beat yourself up about it…It’s not like she told you and it’s also not like I told you either.” There was a comforting shift in her voice, no longer shaking as she tried to sooth you for the information you hadn’t previously had.
Grabbing your camera that was hanging on the side of your chair, you turned it on quickly and went to the gallery, finding that picture you took of her and passing her the camera.
Momo’s jaw dropped, staring at the picture and realizing when you took it.
“Can I tell you something?” offered to her in exchange for the vulnerability shared to you previous.
“Of course,” another deep breath as she braces for the truth.
“Remember when I said “well, shit” earlier?”
Her eyes perk up.
“Yeah?”
“It’s because I realized that I like you…”
Even you’re shocked by what just came out of your mouth.
Did you really just admit that?
“…really?” inquired in the smallest voice, never thinking Momo could sound so timid, despite seeing some moments of it previously.
“Yes…once I lost the image that Sana put in my head of you, and stopped assuming you would be like her…Once I really got to know parts of you, I realized that I wanted to learn more and more about you.” shying away from her gaze on you as you carried on with your statement.
“I…don’t know what to do with myself.” Momo blurted out between nervous glances at you.
She’s so cute like this, you really can’t help yourself.
Standing up and taking a big step so you were in front of her you reach down to cup her face. Leaning in, you taste the drink you made for her off her lips.
Drunk from alcohol or Momo’s soft lips against yours, you were not sure but you were feeling dizzy at the touch of her mouth on yours. Soft pecks that were laced in sweet subtle movements and the pinning for more of her in everyway, already addicted to the feeling of her skin on yours.
Breaking apart from the kiss, you watch her lick her lips and that releases something within you that you hadn’t felt in a long time.
Yearning, wasn’t the word.
It was a violent want.
An aggressive need.
Though you both had been drinking, would it be a silly idea to see if she was interested in pushing this way past a kiss?
Maybe it was better to wait?
“If you kiss me like that again…there might be an issue.” Momo finally speaks up between your inner monologue, standing up and getting so close to your face that your noses touch.
“Oh yeah? How so, Ms. Hirai?” poking a little fun at her, giggling as she wraps her arms around you, and leans into you.
“Maybe I’ll show you on a night where we haven’t been drinking.” whispered in a sultry tone into your ear making you melt in every single way possible.
“Fine!” scrunching your nose in protest and stomping off playfully back to your seat.
Momo chuckles and follows you, sitting on your lap like it’s always been her seat and resting her body against yours.
“I’m getting sleepy, the anxiety of today was a lot.” yawning in confirmation that it was a shared tired.
“Why don’t you go and get comfortable? I’ll take care of everything out here.”
“Let me help.” in a half asleep argument.
“No, go get cozy! It’s cold so you have to warm up the sleeping bag.” rubbing her back gently to further her sleepiness.
Mindlessly getting up, she starts walking over to the trunk and strips her shirt off on the way. You’re, of course, watching her as she walks. She reaches behind her and unclips her bra, exposing her bare back to you.
Turning her head back to you and winking before crawling into the trunk.
This brings a need to do everything as hastily as possible so you can go a lay down with her, wondering if you would be able to even sleep next to her now that she was completely bare from the waist up.
Kicking dirt over the fire to put it out, you notice the sheer coldness that had crept in while you were sitting next to the blaze.
Scanning the site to make sure everything was put away well enough to go to sleep, you grab the keys and the cameras before heading to the trunk where Momo was laying under the covers with the lantern on and shivering.
“I-it’s s-so c-c-cold!” Teeth chattering as she watches you crawl in and close the door.
Slipping the cameras and keys into the front seat, you take off your shirt and crawl under the covers with her, flicking the light off and getting comfortable.
“Come here.” Pulling her closer to you so your body heat would help warm the two of you up.
Scooting into her, she rolled over and lay her head against your chest. The sting of her iced touch lingers for a moment before you feel her thawing out. Running your hand over her back a few times to try to conduct friction to bring her temperature up faster so she can be more comfortable.
Very quick to realize she still wasn't wearing a shirt, you tugged the sleeping bag over her shoulders as well as the fleece blanket to trap the heat, and to save yourself from the tipsy mindset of wanting more than just a kiss.
“Did you just cover my shoulders more?” Laughing into your chest as she realized what you did.
“I’m simply preserving your warmth, Momo!” Kicked back to her but she already knew you were lying.
Heart beating a million miles a minute as her chest was pressed against your stomach, feeling her nipple against your skin and her fingers tracing lightly on your back sent you into a spiral of trying not to go completely feral.
Laying with each other in the back of Momo’s SUV was not something that you thought would ever happen, but you’re very very glad it was happening.
Leaning down, you kiss the top of her head and try to pull her ever closer.
“Feeling warmer?” cooed to her.
“Yes, now I’m cozy.” Nuzzling into you and holding you tighter.
“Good”
Momo tilts her head back and extend her lips out to you, asking for a good night kiss to seal the deal on everything that had happened in the past few hours.
You quickly comply and play with her hair as she falls asleep in your arms.
Birds chirping loudly in the trees nearby tug you out of your dreams and into the Sunday morning that was upon you.
Rolling over you notice that the trunk is open and you can smell the campfire going.
Momo is awake already.
Sitting up and stretching your arms out, you rub your eyes before scooting out of the cabin and letting your feet hang outside the trunk, sitting up while you take in the autumn morning.
“Good Morning, sunshine.” Momo walks over with a cup of coffee and a smile, offering you the cup and kissing your cheeks.
Taking a sip of the warmth in a mug, you notice that Momo is wearing your shirt.
“Cute shirt, where’d you get it?” Pointing at it before sipping the coffee again.
“Oh you know, this girl I have a major crush on…I stole it from her. But don’t tell her! It’s a secret.” Lifting her finger up to shush you lightheartedly.
“Is this girl your girlfriend? Should I tell her that we kissed? She won’t be happy about that!” Winking at her and matching her silliness.
“She is not my girlfriend, but she should be…Maybe I should take it off then? So she doesn’t get jealous?” Lifting the hem of her shirt up slowly over her stomach before tugging up and taking it off, revealing her breasts to you with barely any warning.
Stunned at the sight you have practically woken up to, you scan her up and down and watch as she brings herself closer to you, placing one hand on each of you knee and spreading them apart so she can get in between them.
“We are sober now…” kissing your cheeks before lifting your face to meet hers.
“No one’s around, I haven’t seen anyone drive by since we’ve been here…” another kiss, this one on the lips and deeper than any one you had shared before.
Hands finding their way to her waist as you pull her closer to you, trying to fill in the space between your bodies as any space between you was too much.
Tongues starting to dance with each other as things picked up, Momo reaches behind you, unhooking your bra and throwing it to the front of the car.
Guiding you onto your back by pushing your shoulders, she ushers you up and gets you to scoot inside farther so she could have more space to crawl on top of you.
“I’ve waited for this…” a kiss to your neck renders you incapable of focusing on anything but her.
“…For so fucking long…” dragging her mouth down to your chest and a tongue flick to your nipple make you arch your back and whine softly, hand trailing up and gripping her hair as she descends the length of your body.
“…and I will have you…” kissing down your stomach and to the waistline of the shorts you wore, tugging on them, removing your underwear with them, and placing them to the side.
“Are you going to be a good girl for me?” Dragging her mouth down your hips, grazing her teeth against your skin so gently but it ignites the hostile craving that was put on the back burner last night.
Never in a million years did you think you’d be in this position with Hirai Momo but here you were with her now wrapping her arms around your thighs and laying gentle soft pecks down until finally her tongue swipes your slit causing a jolt from your hips and a guttural moan from your lungs.
“So what do you say, baby? You gonna be good for me and let me eat my breakfast in peace?” Seductively before another tender lick from your entrance to your clit renders you in capable of formulating any words other from “fuck” and “yes please.”
“Good girl.”
Momo kept her tongue against you, writing unspoken poems of the care and attraction she had for you for all these years against the most sensitive parts of you, taking her time and making sure to lick every single drop of slick off your folds.
Though she was slow in her movements, every ounce of pleasure she gave you was so divine and delicious, it left you yearning and pinning for more like you had finally quenched your thirst after years without a single drink.
Unable to keep still underneath her as she spells out how much she’s wanted this with her mouth, you mewl and whine for her, thrusting your lower body up while your hands wandered to the back of her head in attempts to pull her closer to you.
A finger teases your entrance, dipping the first knuckle of her pointer finger inside of you causing you to rock your hips softly, showing her exactly what she was looking for.
“You want my fingers inside you, don’t you?” Only removing her mouth for a second to tease you with the thought.
Only being able to hum in agreeance, you try to say yes with thrusting your hips down. She brings her left arm up and across your pelvis, pinning you done into place to keep you still.
“Beg.” stern in tone but somehow still drenched in need for you as she removes her finger and waits.
“Momo, *please.* I *need* to feel you insi-”
Before you could even finish the sentence, her fingers spread your folds apart and her tongue dips into you.
One.
Two.
Three times, before returning back to gradually circling your clit, her lips visibly coated in your essence and her eyes hungry for more.
Bringing her finger back to where you wanted it, she slowly glides it inside of you and presses up against your G-spot while gently building up the pace of her tongue around your most sensitive area.
“*Momo… oh, fuck..uhngh”* moaning for her and only for her, you would be happy to exist in this context for as long as possible but you need and wanted more.
Leaning up on your elbows, she sees you look at her and makes half lidded eye contact with you while her tongue does all the talking. Allowing her to taste you for a moment longer before you slip a hand under her chin and detach her mouth from you.
Momo reaches over to her camera without removing her finger from inside you. Turning it on with one hand and angling herself for the perfect shot, her thumb graces over you lightly, causing you to squirm.
“Is this okay?” Before focusing the camera on your body.
Nodding your head, you spread your legs wider for her so she can get the full image of how your body reacts to her.
A few clicks and she turns her camera off, placing it back where it was on the bed and tries to lean back into you.
You had other plans.
Taking her finger out of you, she has the look of confusion on her face. Lifting her finger up to your mouth, you suck your own slick off of it and pull her fully into the trunk.
“Close the door.” quietly and seductively, you hand other plans for her.
Already so weak for you that she immediately does what she’s told, you smile and cock an eyebrow at her, wondering how far you could get her to go with such requests.
“Take your pants off.” orders given and followed, she strips her pants off quickly, leaving her in a black thong.
Watching and she tugs on her black stringed waist band, you can see a string of her slick attached to the fabric and she removes it.
Clenching at the sight of her being just as aroused as you, you’re quick to maneuver yourself to sit on her thighs and wrap your legs around her.
Dripping onto her legs from how badly you want her, she smirks at you before her hand descends and returns to your pussy, thrusting two fingers in this time and pressing upwards.
Hissing out of pure pleasure, you drape one arm around her neck and the other slips between her legs so you can rub her clit while she’s inside you.
Eye contact between your mutual grunts of pleasure rattle the car windows, feeling the suspensions bouncing and help you with the rocking of your own hips, you bring your face so close to hers - noses touching and rubbing against each other before you bring your hand to the back of her head and pull her into you for an open mouthed kiss.
Being able to taste yourself off her tongue sent you reeling, moaning into her mouth while her free hand trails up your sides and slithers over to your stomach before ascending up to your neck, wrapping her fingers around your throat and gripping it tightly.
“Such a slut for me…” growling into your mouth as you gasp against her lips.
“Look how fucking wet you got when I started choking you…would you drip this way if I tied your hands behind your back too?”
*Oh fuck.*
Her fingers are moving faster now, palm against your clit as you buck your hips into her creating a mess of her entire hand and her legs beneath you.
Barely even cognoscente from the knot rapidly building in your stomach, you slip two fingers into her and begin giving her the same speed and pressure she was giving to you.
Momo’s moans did you under, the gratification of her losing her “mean domme” demeanor by your touch was enough to put you right at the edge.
All you needed was a little push.
Clenching around her fingers, moaning into her with your fingers tangle in her hair and soaked from her pussy - you whimper at her and she knows.
“Is my good girl going to- *fuck, baby -*cum for me?” fingers picking up momentum when she feels her own climax creeping up on her.
Nodding your head before placing your face into her neck and biting down hard as you release all the tension that had built up in the few days that you spent with her, coming completely undone around her fingers.
The bite from you has her blissed out while your fingers piston haphazardly inside her, you clenching around her fingers and moaning into her causes Momo’s own ecstasy to drown her in a paradise that she had never felt before.
Both of you riding out your own orgasms on each other’s fingers, thrusting your hips into each other and causing the car to rock back and forth rhythmically.
Both of you slowing down your movements and sharing a few soft pecks, she lays down flat on her back with you on top of her - both of you panting and gasping for air.
Tucking a piece of your hair behind your ear, she kisses you again before removing her fingers from you and slipping her pants back on but remaining shirtless while you just held each other for a while and enjoyed the moment.
“So…what happens when we get back?” there’s fear in Momo’s voice when the question slips between her teeth.
“What do you mean?” brows furrowed like you weren’t naked in the back of her SUV after having fucked in the middle of no where.
“I mean…I don’t know, are you looking for something with this?” voice shaking and reminding you of earlier, the nervousness of rejection is very loud in her.
“I mean…are you?”
“With you, yes.” no hesitation on her end at all.
Smiling at her, you sit up and tug her with you.
“Momo…”
“Yeah?”
“Do you want to be my girlfriend?”
“Oh…I uhm….yes.”
Tackling her to the floor and peppering her face with kisses - you didn’t even need to think about what you wanted - her.
Giggling at your actions, you both sigh and just lay with each other for another moment.
“Not to break this lovely moment we are having, but what time is check out?” sitting up and throwing your shirt on to cover up, leaning down to kiss your cheek before opening the door.
“Uhm….noon, I think?” rolling over and grabbing the hoodie you had been using as a pillow and tossing it on before slipping your own bottoms back on.
“Okay, I’ll start packing up.” grabbing the stuff she brought to cook with and packing it away in the bag she must have brought them in.
“Hey Momo?”
“Yeah?”
“Would you…want to stay the night at my house tonight?” eyes shifting as you ask from sheer nervousness.
Already having spent so much time together this weekend, you weren’t really ready to separate just yet. You truly hoped she would share that sentiment.
Momo places the bag of cooking equipment into the truck, walks over to you and faces you. Grabbing your hands and raising them up to kiss your knuckles and then your lips and smiles.
“I would love to…plus I want to know what happened between Tzuyu and Chaeyoung this weekend, Chae’s got the biggest crush on her so hopefully it went well.”
“No way…Tzuyu has been crushing on Chae the entire year!” exclaimed as you started gathering the chairs and moving the left over wood to the back of the campsite for another camper to use when they arrived.
“Seriously?!” gasped at the statement you just made.
“Yes!”
“Well we better pick up a bottle of wine before we get back to your house then!” grabbing the bag of trash you had compiled over the weekend and bringing it to the SUV so you could dispose of it before leaving.
Hopping in the car after packing everything up, you start the drive home with your new girlfriend, hand in hand. The two hour ride felt like 10 minutes, just talking about life and classes, the project and how you both wanted to set everything up for it.
Looking over at her as she pulls into your complex, you realize how excited you are about this new phase of life you’re about to embark on, with her intertwined in all aspects.
Who knew that this unexpected weekend would turn out to be something so absolutely pleasant.
You absentmindedly fold the blank pages of your sticky notes into tiny origami figures, your fingers working on autopilot while the professor drones on about the rule of thirds. You've memorized every angle and nuance—today’s lesson is nothing new to you.
Suddenly, a tiny paper ball lands squarely on your table. You pause, and without even looking up, you know exactly who’s responsible. Momo, ever the nonchalant senior, sits a few rows ahead with a self-assured smirk. She points at the front of the class, silently commanding your attention.
You roll your eyes and return to your folding, frustration simmering beneath the surface. Leaning against your shoulder, Chaeyoung doodles absentmindedly on the edge of your paper.
“Ugh, she’s so irritating,” you mutter, your tone a mix of exasperation and disbelief. “Every single class, she just has to make me her personal punching bag.”
Chaeyoung looks up with a gentle smile. “Maybe she’s just bored. You know how seniors can be—they think they’re above it all.”
You scoff. “Above it? More like she’s on a mission to drive me crazy.”
Before you can continue, another paper ball whizzes by and lands on your desk. You shoot a glare at Momo, who casually flips you off before returning to her cool demeanor.
“Momo, seriously?” you mumble under your breath, the irritation clear in your voice.
Chaeyoung whispers, “Honestly, I think it’s her way of saying hello… in her own twisted way.”
At that moment, the professor’s voice snaps through the murmur of the classroom, “Alright, everyone, listen up. Today you’ll be working on a group project based on the rule of thirds. I’ll be drawing names from the registration numbers.”
You lean toward Chaeyoung, whispering about your dinner plans—McDonald’s, of course—when the professor announces, “Numbers 13 and 3.”
Your stomach drops.
You already know your number is 13, but 3… isn’t Chaeyoung’s. You quickly flip through your folder, scanning the list of student numbers.
A tap on your shoulder makes you freeze.
You don’t even need to turn around. You’d recognize that perfume anywhere.
“For fuck’s sake…” you mutter under your breath.
“Hey, respect your seniors, assface,” Momo drawls before giving you a not-so-gentle shove forward.
Then, as if she wasn’t just tormenting you a second ago, she turns to Chaeyoung with a sweet smile. “Hey, Chaeyoung.”
“Hey…” Chaeyoung laughs nervously before standing up. She mouths good luck before abandoning you to your fate.
Momo settles into the chair next to you, stretching her arms behind her head like she doesn’t have a care in the world. You don’t need to look at her to know she’s smirking.
This is going to be hell.
You lean back in your chair, arms crossed, as Momo taps a pen against her notebook. She isn’t even looking at you, just scribbling something down like she’s already taken charge of the entire project before you’ve had a chance to speak.
“Alright,” she says, casually flipping a page. “Since I’m the oldest here—and obviously the one with more experience—I’ll handle the creative direction. You can be my assistant.”
You blink at her. “Assistant?”
She finally looks up, lips curling into a smirk. “Yeah. Like my little sidekick.”
You scoff. “I don’t remember signing up to be your intern.”
Momo hums, tapping her pen against her chin like she’s thinking it over. “You’re right. Interns at least get college credit.”
Your jaw drops. “Oh, you’re hilarious.”
“I try.” She shrugs, turning back to her notes. “Anyway, I already have a plan. Something bold, something striking—something that might actually get us an A.”
“Might?” you repeat, offended.
“Well.” She glances at you, her smirk deepening. “You do tend to drag things down, so no promises.”
You slap a hand over your chest dramatically. “Wow. Senior privilege has really gone to your head, huh?”
Momo chuckles but doesn’t deny it. Instead, she stretches her arms behind her head and sighs. “You’ll get used to it.” Then, without missing a beat, she adds, “Now, go fetch me a coffee.”
You stare at her, waiting for the punchline.
She stares back, completely serious.
“In the middle of class?” you ask.
She tilts her head slightly, as if pretending to weigh the logic of that. “Yeah. I think better when I have caffeine. And you work better when you do what I say. So, really, this benefits both of us.”
You let out a sharp laugh. “You cannot be fucking serious.”
Momo leans in slightly, resting her chin on her hand. “Then do something about it.”
Your glare meets her smirk, and for a few seconds, it’s a silent battle of wills.
You groan, digging into your bag for your wallet. “You’re the worst.”
“No, I’m the best.”
You shake your head as you push your chair back. “This is gonna be a long project.”
Behind you, Momo chuckles, clearly pleased with herself. “Oh, trust me, Y/N, you have no idea.”
The tiny campus coffee shop was buzzing with students, the scent of freshly brewed espresso and warm pastries hanging in the air. It was run by the school’s barista and baking club, which meant the prices were decent, and the coffee was actually good—not that you cared about any of that right now.
Because right now, you were stuck in a booth across from Momo, who was currently staring at the bill like it had personally offended her.
“I told you, you should’ve paid,” she muttered, crossing her arms.
You scoffed. “And I told you we were splitting it.”
Momo groaned dramatically, leaning back against the seat. “Why do I even have to pay? I didn’t even want to come here in the first place.”
“Oh my god, do you hear yourself?” You rolled your eyes, pushing half the bill toward her. “You dragged me out of class for this.”
She narrowed her eyes but eventually reached into her pocket and begrudgingly slapped a few bills onto the table. “This is daylight robbery.”
“It’s literally five bucks.”
“It’s absurd.”
You ignored her, pulling out your notes and flipping through them. Unlike Momo, who had come in with zero preparation, you had already crammed a whole bundle of organized ideas long before this project was even announced. You knew exactly what had to be done—it was simple, really.
Momo, of course, not admitting it, but you caught the flicker of surprise in her eyes as she skimmed over your notes. impressed, though her ego was way too huge to say it out loud.
“So, I was thinking we could go for a more dynamic composition,” you started, pointing to a section of your notes. “Maybe play with leading lines or forced perspective—”
Momo scoffed, flipping one of the pages like it was offensive. “You’re trying way too hard.”
Your eye twitched. “It’s called being prepared, Hirai.”
“It’s called overachieving, freshman.”
Your hands clenched into fists as you glared at her, while she casually sipped her coffee like she wasn’t getting on your last nerve.
“Look, you wanna do something boring, fine,” you said, exasperated. “But don’t come crying to me when the professor gives us a mid-grade because someone—” you jabbed a finger in her direction, “—didn’t want to actually put in effort.”
Momo smirked. “Please, like you’d ever let our grade drop. You’d rather die.”
“That’s—That’s not the point!”
She leaned forward, resting her chin on her palm. “Relax, freshman. I’ll throw in some of my genius ideas, and we’ll be fine.”
You huffed. “Stop calling me that. You don’t even have a plan, do you?”
“I have vibes.”
You smacked your forehead. “Jesus Christ.”
The discussion—or rather, the argument—only escalated from there. What started as a simple debate over concepts turned into full-blown shouting about color theory, lighting choices, and whether or not Momo even understood what the rule of thirds was.
“I literally just explained it to you!”
“I understood it! I just think it’s dumb!”
“You’re dumb!”
“Wow, real mature.”
“Why are you like this?!”
By the time the coffee shop’s owner came over and politely —but firmly—asked you both to leave, you were fuming, and Momo looked far too pleased with herself. She shoved you out the door first, laughing under her breath as you stomped out.
You pulled your hoodie over your head, practically vibrating with frustration. “I’ll text you,” you muttered, keeping your gaze on the ground. Because honestly? Seeing her in person was a pain.
Momo chuckled, hands in her pockets. “Can’t wait.”
Every interaction with Momo was like an active battlefield.
Even through text, it was an argument. You’d message her something simple—Hey, let’s meet up tomorrow to finalize the outline—and she’d somehow turn it into a whole debate.
"Tomorrow’s no good. Do it yourself."
"I’m not doing everything alone, Momo."
"You basically already are, what’s the difference?"
“Fuck you."
It was exhausting.
Between this project, your other assignments, and just trying to survive life in general, made your patience wear thin. And she wasn’t helping. Every time you tried to make progress, she either made some sarcastic remark, refused to cooperate, or sent you on a damn coffee run just to waste your time.
And today?
Today was your breaking point.
The rain poured heavily outside as students rushed past with umbrellas and jackets pulled over their heads. You didn’t care about any of that. You were standing under the awning near the campus library, fists clenched, soaked to the bone, trying to talk sense into her.
“Can you for once take this seriously?!” you shouted over the rain, your voice raw with frustration.
Momo, standing in front of you with her usual nonchalant expression, just sighed. “I am taking it seriously. You’re the one freaking out.”
Your hands shook. “Are you—do you even hear yourself?! This project is due in less than a week and you’ve done absolute bullshit!”
She smirked. “I gave input.”
“Arguing with me every second isn’t input, Momo!”
You could feel the lump in your throat growing, frustration swelling in your chest like a balloon ready to burst. The rain pelted against you both, drenching your clothes, but you didn’t care. You were so tired.
Momo, however, just stuffed her hands into her hoodie pockets, barely fazed. “You need to chill.”
That was it.
That was the final straw.
With a strangled yell, you shoved her—hard. Momo barely had time to react before she stumbled back, slipping slightly on the wet pavement. She landed on the ground with a dull thud, rain instantly soaking through her jeans, her hands catching her fall too late.
For a second, she just blinked up at you, stunned.
But you didn’t care. You were shaking, tears already streaming down your face as your emotions crashed over you like a tidal wave.
“You—you make my life a living hell,” you choked out, voice cracking. “I try to be cooperative, i try to listen—but every fucking second I spend trying to work with you, you make it worse.”
Momo just stared, lips slightly parted, but for once, she didn’t have a quick comeback.
With trembling hands, you reached into your bag and pulled out a thick stack of papers—a perfectly printed and organized document.
The project plan.
The exact layout, execution, and theme. Everything—even the parts Momo had specifically wanted.
And then, right in front of her, you crumpled it in your fists and threw it at her. The rain immediately soaked the pages, ink smearing, paper sagging as it landed against her chest.
Momo barely moved, still sitting in the puddle, as she slowly picked up the now-wet document. She tried to unfold the ruined pages, her fingers smearing the ink as she stared at the careful details, the way everything had been planned out—just the way she had stubbornly insisted.
A strange pang settled in her chest.
Why?
Momo had been feeling off all weekend.
No matter how many times she pulled up your contact, hovered over the text box, or even typed out a snarky insult, she always ended up deleting it. Too much? Not enough? She had no idea. And the fact that she even cared this much was messing with her head.
She didn’t hear from you at all. No texts, no passive-aggressive insults, no complaints. Not even a middle finger emoji.
By Monday, it was bothering her.
When she walked into class, her eyes immediately scanned the room, searching—There.
You were slumped at your desk, hoodie pulled over your head, face half-hidden by the fabric. A large coffee cup sat next to you, mostly untouched, condensation forming at the sides. You weren’t talking to anyone. You weren’t even on your phone.
For some reason, that sight made Momo hesitate. She wasn’t used to seeing you like this.
Slowly, she approached, standing awkwardly beside your desk before clearing her throat.
“Hey.”
You flinched slightly, like you hadn’t even noticed her standing there, before exhaling loudly. “God…” you muttered under your breath. “Not you.”
Momo forced a smirk, shoving her hands into her hoodie pockets. “Rude. I was so worried about you.”
You let out a weak scoff, still refusing to look at her.
She shifted on her feet, debating her next move before sighing. “Look, I… y'know, regret some things.”
That made you finally glance at her—just a little. “You? Regret?”
Momo rolled her eyes. “Okay, not in the way you’re thinking. But. I may have been an asshole.”
You raised an eyebrow. “May?“
“Fine,” she groaned, “I was an asshole.”
You nodded, satisfied, before looking away again.
A beat of silence.
Then, without thinking, Momo reached out and gently turned your face toward her, thumb resting just under your jaw.
She barely had time to process what she was doing before she saw you—really saw you. The eyebags peeking through your makeup, the slightly smudged mascara, the exhaustion written all over your face.
Her breath hitched. “Damn. You look rough.”
Your glare was immediate, and Momo quickly turned your head back down like she’d seen nothing. “I think it’s best if you just stay like that,” she muttered.
Your arm shot out, smacking her without hesitation. “Dickhead.”
Momo snorted, rubbing her arm. “Okay, okay, I deserved that.”
You flipped her off before taking a sip of your coffee, still sulking.
Momo exhaled, leaning against the desk. “Anyway… I actually came to say I’ll put in real work for the project.”
Your fingers twitched around your cup. “Hah.”
“I mean it.”
You gave her a side glance, still skeptical.
“I’m serious. We’ll work at my place later tonight. I’ll even buy dinner. Snacks too. My treat.”
You bit your lip, debating it, but Momo could tell she had you the second your shoulders relaxed slightly.
“…Fine,” you muttered, almost begrudgingly.
Momo grinned. “There’s that enthusiasm I love.”
You groaned, dragging a hand down your face. “This is gonna be hell.”
Momo patted your back, smirking. “Oh, absolutely.”
But for some reason, it didn’t feel as bad anymore.
When Momo opened her apartment door, she wasn’t expecting this.
You stood there, dressed casually — oversized hoodie, loose sweatpants, hair lazily tied back. No makeup, no carefully put-together outfit like you usually wore. Just… you.
Momo blinked. What the hell?
She’d always seen you as this organized, almost annoyingly put-together person. But seeing you like this — relaxed, comfortable, a little tired but still somehow… attractive?
What the fuck is wrong with you, Mo.. get a grip..
Momo bit her lip, scolding herself internally before stepping aside to let you in. “Took you long enough,” she muttered.
“You’re lucky I even showed up,” you shot back, toeing off your sneakers.
Momo rolled her eyes and led you to the living room, where her table was cluttered with notebooks, pens, and a half-empty bag of chips. “I already started setting things up,” she said, gesturing to the mess. “But I doubt your perfectionist ass will approve.”
You snorted, flopping onto the couch. “Oh, definitely not.”
For the next hour, you both actually worked — shocking as that was. The banter never stopped, though.
“Why are your notes written like you’re decrypting ancient text?” you muttered, squinting at her handwriting.
“Maybe if you weren’t illiterate, you’d understand,” Momo shot back, smirking.
“Yeah? Well, maybe if you weren’t lazy, I wouldn’t have to understand your part too.
“Oh my god, you’re so dramatic.”
Somehow, despite the endless back and forth, you managed to make progress. Eventually, Momo grabbed the snacks she’d promised, tossing a pack of chips at you.
“Here. Don’t say I never do anything for you,” she said, flopping down beside you.
You caught the bag, tearing it open before popping a chip in your mouth. “Wow,” you drawled. “Such a provider.”
Momo scoffed. “You’re welcome.”
She reached for her own bag, but midway through her snack, she noticed you distractedly flipping through your notes. Without really thinking, she grabbed a chip, held it up, and pressed it to your lips.
You froze.
“…What are you doing?”
“Feeding you,” Momo said like it was obvious.
“I have hands,” you muttered, snatching the chip from her fingers.
“Yeah, but you’re too busy pretending to be a genius.”
“Pretending?!”
“Don’t start crying.”
“I’ll kill you.”
“You’d miss me.”
Neither of you noticed how easy it had become — the teasing, the insults that felt more playful than venomous.
And it didn’t stop there.
For the next few days, it became a routine — meeting at her place, or sometimes on campus, even when there wasn’t anything to work on. Sometimes you’d pretend you *totally* had something important to do just so you had an excuse to hang out longer. And Momo? She didn’t mind.
Actually… she kind of liked it.
Too much.
She started noticing things — like how you scrunched your nose when you pouted, or the way you bit your pen cap when you were focused. And god, that *whiny voice* you used whenever she pushed a joke too far — it was so irritatingly cute, and it stuck in her head longer than she wanted to admit.
Momo swore to herself she wouldn’t catch feelings.
But here she was — completely hooked.
And she had no idea how to deal with it.
quieter, something fonder.
Neither of you spoke for a moment.
Realizing she’d been staring a little too long, Momo cleared her throat and grabbed a bag of snacks from the table, tossing it into your lap.
“Here,” she muttered. “Before you start crying.”
You huffed dramatically, tearing the bag open — but as you reached for a handful of chips, you couldn’t shake the feeling of her eyes still lingering on you.
The two of you worked quietly for the next half hour, your occasional sighs and scribbles filling the room. By the time you both finished, the weight of the project finally felt lighter — almost freeing.
“Well,” you exhaled, stretching your arms. “We should submit it now.”
Momo, still scrolling through her computer screen, scoffed. “Nope. We’ll send it tomorrow.”
“What? No, let’s just get it over with,” you insisted.
“It’s better to send it on time,” she argued.
“That’s so dumb. It’s done. Why wait?”
“Because what if something’s wrong? We can double-check it before—”
“Oh my god, Momo.” You groaned. “It’s fine. Just submit it.”
“It’s not fine, and you’re not always right,” she shot back.
“And you’re never right,” you snapped.
The tension built quickly — voices raising, your patience thinning again. For a second, it felt like things were spiraling into yet another full-blown argument.
But then Momo sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Fine,” she muttered. “I’ll send it.”
You blinked. “Wait, really?”
“Yes, really,” she grumbled, opening her email. “I’ll submit this dumb thing now, but you’re turning in the itinerary tomorrow.”
You crossed your arms. “Fine.”
Momo clicked the ‘Send’ button, but as she hovered over the file attachment, you caught a glimpse of her hesitation.
“You should double-check it first,” you muttered.
Momo’s eye twitched. “You just said it was fine.”
“Yeah, but what if you—”
“Oh my god, would you just—”
“Just check it again!” you barked.
“Shut up,” Momo huffed — and suddenly her hand clamped over your mouth.
You froze. Her palm was warm, fingers curling slightly near your jaw, thumb resting just below your cheek. She wasn’t holding you tightly — just enough to stop you from speaking.
It smelled... nice. Clean, faintly floral — her lotion maybe? Your thoughts scrambled for a second before you caught yourself.
What the hell is wrong with you? you scolded yourself.
Momo seemed to snap out of it too, pulling her hand away quickly as if she realized what she'd just done. Neither of you said anything as she finally hit ‘Send.’
“Done,” she muttered, leaning back in her chair with a heavy sigh. “Thank god that’s over.”
You couldn’t resist. “Aw, you’re gonna miss me, aren’t you?”
“In your dreams,” Momo snorted.
You grinned. “You wish I dreamed about you.”
“Oh, please.”
The room fell into an oddly comfortable silence. The tension from earlier felt... different now. Softer.
“Hey...” Momo spoke up after a moment, her voice quieter than usual. “Thanks.”
You frowned, turning your head. “For what?”
“For... putting up with me,” she muttered, her eyes flickering to her lap. “I know I’ve been... kind of a pain.”
You snorted. “Kind of?”
Momo chuckled under her breath. “Okay... a huge pain.” Her voice softened. “But... I mean it. I couldn’t have done this without you.”
You blinked, unsure how to respond. Was she... being nice?
“Okay... what do you want?” you asked suspiciously.
Momo shook her head. “Nothing, idiot,” she laughed lightly. “I’m serious. You’re... you’re really dedicated. And hardworking. I like that.”
The words lingered in the air. You swallowed hard, feeling a strange warmth crawl up your neck.
Momo’s gaze lingered on yours for a beat too long. She licked her lips nervously, her body shifting just a little closer.
Before you could say anything, she leaned in — and her lips pressed softly against yours.
The kiss was tender at first — soft, almost hesitant — but then something shifted. It deepened, her lips moving against yours with a hunger that caught you off guard. Like she'd been holding herself back for far too long, and now she couldn’t stop.
You knew you should’ve pulled away. Should’ve shoved her back and demanded what the hell she was thinking. But instead... you melted.
Her hand slid to your jaw, fingers curling against your skin as her tongue swiped along your bottom lip. It was fleeting — just a tease — before she suddenly pulled back, her eyes wide in panic.
“I’m... I’m so sorry,” Momo stammered, her voice breathless. “I shouldn’t— I didn’t mean— I don’t know why I—”
You didn’t let her finish.
Grabbing her by the collar of her shirt, you yanked her back in, crashing your lips against hers once more. This time, there was no hesitation — just heat. The way her fingers dug into your waist, how her breath hitched as you tangled your fingers in her hair... it made your head spin.
Neither of you seemed to care how messy it was, how desperate — how much you both knew you shouldn’t be doing this.
But in that moment, nothing else mattered.
Her lips crashed back onto yours, this time with more urgency—more need. Her hand cupped the side of your neck, thumb grazing your pulse as if she wanted to feel just how fast your heart was racing. You barely registered the way her body shifted until your back hit the couch cushions, her weight pressing down on you.
Momo hovered above you, her knee slipping between your legs, trapping you beneath her as she added a bit of pressure to your core. The warmth of her breath fanned across your lips as she pulled back just enough to look at you. Her face was flushed, her pupils dark and blown out.
“Your lips…” she panted softly, her voice low and breathless. “They taste so good.”
Before you could even think of how to respond, she leaned back in, her lips slotting perfectly against yours. Her fingers slid into your hair, tugging just enough to make your breath hitch. The way she moved — slow yet deliberate — had you spiraling.
You knew this was dangerous. That whatever this was, it could only complicate things.
But when her body pressed closer, her lips claiming yours like she couldn’t get enough… you didn’t fucking care.
Her hands began to messily tug the hem of your t-shirt, slipping under to run her large cold hands on your soft skin, tracing shapes across your stomach.
She planted open mouthed kisses at your neck, each one earning a whine out of you, “Fuck.. keep making those noises, Y/N.” She tested the waters and moved higher from under your shirt, fingertips inches away from the lower part of your breasts.
She moved down to your collarbone, sucking on the skin there, leaving marks you knew you both were going to regret later—it didn’t matter right now though.
“Momo.. take it off..” you stammered out, your voice a fragile whisper that made Momo’s heart race—she held back wanting to ruin you whole.
She finally removed your t-shirt, throwing it somewhere on the floor, she took in your bare body, looking at it with primal hunger, an urge to devour you whole.
She unhooked your bra in a swift motion, cursing under her breath at the sight of your breasts, how perfect, how soft they looked—she knew they would be even better in her hands—she cupped one of them, squeezing it slightly, you jolted forward and squeezed your eyes shut, she let out a tiny chuckle “So sensitive huh, baby?”
Momo continues to explore your chest, her hands roaming over the soft mounds. She leans down to capture one of your nipples in her mouth, swirling her tongue around the hardened peak. Her other hand kneads the other breast, enjoying the feeling of your perfect tits in her hands.
You moaned loudly at the feeling of her warm wet tongue, fingers automatically going to tangle into her blonde hair, soft curses slipping out of your lips as you slowly grinded your core on her thigh that was still positioned inbetween herlegs, Momo’s eyes practically rolled back once she heard my moans for the first time, that urge of hers to lose control slowly coming out.
Momo's body reacts to your moans, her heart rate increasing and her breathing becoming heavier. She releases your nipple with a soft pop and looks up at you with heavy-lidded eyes. Her hands continue to squeeze and caress your chest, leaving red marks on your delicate skin. "Fuck..."
You whined in eagerness, pushing Momo’s head back into your chest—the tug was firm and desperate as your lip quivered in desperation, you wanted—you needed—her mouth.
“Needy girl..” she happily obliged your desperate tug, diving back onto your chest with enthusiasm. She alternates between your nipples, lavishing one with her tongue while pinching and teasing the other with her fingers. A grin spreads over her lips as she feels your pussy grinding urgently against her thigh.
Your lips shaped into a pout as you pressed deeper on her thigh, hands reaching up to grab Momo’s shoulders, nails digging into her skin through her shirt. “Fucks sake—please, momo.” you bit back, impatient and desperate. Momo smiled agaisnt your skin before nipping at it slightly, she pauses her teasing and looks up at you with a seductice glint in her eye. "Say please nicely, and maybe I'll give you what you want."
Fucking god.
She sucked and swirled her tongue hard and you snapped, “Oh fuck you—“ she cut you off my pressing deeper into your core, her tensed thigh pressing down on your desperate cunt, you threw your head back and moaned. “Such a dirty mouth, Y/N, do better.”
“Mmph—fuck off.” you spat out, though your body was reactive to every touch, every grope, every pull. Momo smirked, finding your stubbornness surprisingly arousing. She grinds her thigh harder against your pussy, making you yelp. "Are you always this difficult to fuck?" She asks in small pants, nipping at one of your breasts.
You gave in, a tiny whimper escaping your lips as you cried out in a shaky, soft voice, “Please, Momo..” her face softened into a satisfied grin, she has you right where she wants you. She begins increasing the pressure, rubbing agaisnt your clit with a smug look on her face “That’s better.”
“I need it..” your chest heaved as your nails dug deeper into the fabric of her shirt, rubbing against her thigh more frantically, “Yeah? What do you need?”, she tensed her thigh muscles, she knew you were soaked, your cunt warm on her thigh, she nipped at your breasts softly. Your mouth fell into an ‘O’ shape as she rolled your nipple inbetween her fingers, “Mmph—touch me, please..”
Momo gives in and finally slips her hand into your pants, cupping your dripping wet pussy, the warmth, the smell of musk, how wet it is—it’s driving her insane. "Is this what you need?" you frantically nodded as you bucked your hips forward into her hand, Momo’s eyes darkening with lust as she felt your wet cunt grind against her palm, she slowly slipped a single finger inside—letting you feel her length, she gasped at how easily her fingers entered “Gosh, Y/N.. you’re so fucking wet.”, she teased with a smirk as she pumped her single digit inside you.
You whined, “Stop teasing..”, every little pump just from her singular finger felt so good, lost in the moment, you closed your eyes and furrowed your brows out of frustration. "And if I don't?" Momo purred, her voice husky with desire. She spread your pussy lips with her fingers before adding a second digit. Hearing your little whines and moans was like a symphony to her ears. "What are you going to do about it?" she spat in mock pity.
Your voice cracked as you let out another moan as she hit all the right spots “Please!”, you sobbed out, you were sensitive, your face flushed all the way down to your neck—you grew impatient by the second, that cocky smirk on her face as she pleasured your pussy pissed—and aroused—you off even more.
Momo’s forearm and bicep flexed with every pump, licking her lips as she pressed down harder on your clit with her thumb, your pussy gripping her fingers for release, “You’re so fucking cute when you beg like this.” she watched as you threw your head back, tits bouncing slightly at every pump.
Gosh this was embarassing.
Not was she your senior, but she was the person you’d hate till the world ended—the one you’d swore you’d rather eat a thousand shard of glass before looking her way. Yet here she was, knuckles deep in your pussy making you feel good.
You moaned before speaking through gritted teeth “Mmph—so fucking embarassing.” you locked eyes with her before rolling them, eyebrows furrowing as she curled her fingers “Oh? but you’re loving every second of this aren’t you?”
“I told you to stop fucking teas—“ her hand came down and snapped on your thigh, the motion leaving a harsh red mark, you yelled at the pain, the stinging becoming somehow arousing, “Then stop talking back you whiny bitch.” she starts finger-fucking you rapidly, her hand a blur between your legs. She can feel your pussy starting to tighten around her fingers.
You whimpered in reply as you began grinding on her hand, puffy clit grinding agaisnt the palm of her hand—momo watched. The sound of your wet pussy squishing against her palm is driving her insane with desire. She leans in close, biting down on your earlobe. “You gonna cum, Y/N-ie?”
You nodded, lip quivering as you tried to speak up, but it felt impossible. Without a warning, she pulled out, a whine leaving your throat at the empty feeling, you locked eyes with Momo, who was smiling against your flushed and sweaty skin. She teases your nipples with her tongue, biting and sucking gently before moving lower. She can feel your body trembling with need, and it turns her on even more. “Momo?..” your voice shook again, almost like a cold tremble.
Momo hums against your skin, blowing cool air over your nipples before sucking them again. She loves having this effect on you, absolutely loves seeing you so desperate and needy. "What is it, sweetheart?" She murmurs, trailing kisses down to your navel.
“What are you?—Shit!!” you threw your head back as she latched onto your cunt, her warm tongue tasting your pussy for the first time, she lost control. As soon as Momo's lips touch your wet folds, she loses all it. She hooks your legs over her shoulders and buries her face between your thighs, licking and sucking furiously. She can feel you convulsing against her face, but she doesn't stop.
You beg and scream out her name, the people in the dorms next to you probably hearing the commotion, but you didn’t care—atleast in the moment—with shaky hands you latched onto Momo’s hair, tugging and pulling her head closer to your puffy cunt, the dorsal bump of her nose bridge rubbing against your clit.
Momo moans against your wet pussy as you pull her closer, the sounds of your screams spurring her on. Her tongue thrusts in and out of you rapidly, occasionally flicking up to circle your clit. The smell of your arousal fills her senses, making her drunk with desire. “You taste so fucking good.”
Your mouth fell open, eyes rolling back as you felt that familiar knot form in your stomach, “Fuck, fuck fuck—Momo i’m gonna cum.” She groaned against your pussy, her tongue working faster and harder. Feeling your body tensing up, your thighs clamping down on her head as you get closer to the edge. She doesn't let up, determined to make you cum all over her face.
“Shit.. Momo i’m—mmph..i’m cumming, baby—cumming!” your eyes rolled back as you jumped her face frantically, body convulsing and baco arching, coming undone on her tongue as your hands tugged her hair tighter, knuckles turning white. She flattens her tongue against your clit and holds it there, lapping at your juices as you cum hard against her mouth.
She helped you ride your high, sitting back on her heels, a dorkish-satisfied smile on her face as she looks at you. Her mouth is shiny with your juices, her bangs stuck to her forehead from the sweat and your arousal. “You’re so stupid,” you muttered with a suppressed smile as you pulled her in for a tiny peck she gladly reciprocated.
As she pulled back she nervously rambled as she tenderly brushed your sweat-drenched hair out of your face, her brows furrowed with concern. "Are you okay? Do you need anything? Water? A towel? Did I... go too—“ you pressed a kiss on her lips to shut her up. “I’m fine, just get me some clean clothes and let me rest, ‘kay?..” you croaked groggily as you caressed her cheek, and without any word, she ran off, ready to take care of you no matter the circumstance.
The morning had been... weird. Not bad — just off.
Momo barely said a word when you left her apartment, but that smug little smile never left her face. Every time you glanced at her, there it was — like she knew something you didn’t.
Walking into the lecture hall, you spotted Chaeyoung near the professor’s desk, watching her paper get torn apart with red ink.
Perfect.
You grinned and wiggled your brows. “So... you and Tzuyu, huh?” you teased as she glanced at her work partner who towered over her.
“Get lost,” Chaeyoung muttered, rolling her eyes — but she was smiling.
She turned to leave, but paused, her eyes flicking to your neck.
Her smile dropped. She stepped back, staring harder.
“Yah…” she muttered, then laughed under her breath. “Wear something more neck-covering next time, okay?*”
Your stomach sank.
Your hand shot up, fingers brushing over your skin — and that’s when you felt it.
You turned to Momo.
She was watching, smug as ever. The second your eyes met, her grin widened.
“Fuck,” you muttered.
“Oh no,” Momo teased, voice low. “Don’t hide it now.”
Chapter 246
1,930 Words
(The world as you know it takes a turn for the worse. A sudden outbreak, many get sick and many more die. It’s moments like these where you need to stay together.)
You turn your phone back on after an eleven-hour flight back to Korea. Numerous emails and text notifications bombard your phone. “Must be serious.” So, on the car ride back home, you try to go through them, realizing the urgency.
One of those emails is from your broker, urging you to observe the international and domestic stock markets. In those emails, you received notifications of a possible lockdown in Wuhan due to a containment issue.
The more you read, the more you realize the potential problem it might have as people travel abroad due to the Chinese New Year. You go on multiple social platforms, searching for any information on the seriousness of the situation.
You turn and look at Nayeon, sleeping in the car after a long flight. Your phone goes off, and you see a message from your wife, who sent you a message welcoming you back and a picture of your children having breakfast. “The babies missed you.”
You arrive at the company building, where you turn in your report before heading back home. Nayeon continues to sleep on the way back, and you decide to listen to a report on the status of a potential epidemic within the Chinese region and the possibility of quarantining the city.
The report continues to relay that government vehicles have begun to arrive at the city, and transportation entering and exiting has been suspended. This has caused people to try to exit the city as they predict the shutdown of the city.
You arrive at the front gate when the two large metal doors open. You drive through the motor court and see Jisoo and Ari’s heads against the large window, waving as they see you.
You see the large door open, and the two come running out shouting, “Appa! Daddy!” You crouch down and pick them both up, one in each arm. “Jisoo, Ari, I missed both of you. Did you take care of everyone while Daddy was out?” They both nod and say, “Mommies and babies safe.”
All of you walk back to the house's entrance, where you see from afar the rest of the members in the living room. You place Jisoo and Ari on the ground, “I’m back.”
Hina scoots down from the couch and walks towards you, asking for your hand, “Daddy, Hina show Da-Da, walk.” Hina leads you to where Daeun is playing and squats, “Da-Da, come, come…” waving her hand.
Daeun smiles at Hina and puts her hands on the ground. She lifts her bottom, lifting herself into an upright position, and slowly wobbles. Slowly, she takes a step and another. Hina looks at Daeun, saying, “Come, Da-Da.” Daeun smiles and waddles faster to Hina, hugging her.
‘Oh my god, Daeun. You can walk.” You pick her up and give her a big kiss. Dahyun, sitting on the couch, says, “She has been standing a lot recently. These past few days, Hina has been encouraging her a lot. Out of nowhere, she just started walking.”
Daeun smiles, and you look back at Hina, “Is that true? Have you been helping your baby sister?”
Hina shyly nods, “Hina help Da-Da.”
You squat and pick her help in your other arm and kiss her on the forehead, “You’re such a nice sister.”
You continue spending time with the family and enjoying seeing Daeun walk. It’s always nice catching up, even if you’ve only been out for a few days.
The day continues, and every so often, you look at your phone for any updates. The situation in Wuhan is worsening as reports of a city-wide lockdown are imminent. You go to your office and watch a video of a Korean-Australian visiting the city for the holidays. After hearing about the potential lockdown, he decided to leave the city, and all public transportation has been halted. Flights have been canceled, and bus stations and trains have been blocked by military personnel.
People have begun to panic as the military started taking charge of the city. News networks estimate that about eleven million people are stuck with no way out.
Seeing this makes you realize the possibility of it reaching Korea as many visit China during the Chinese New Year. “It’s not a matter of if, but when it comes to Korea.”
You have a restless night; you’re worried about the situation and continue to wake up in the middle of the night. Multiple notifications go off from your phone. You see a report of SARS_CoV2 being detected in the United States and the first South Korean national being infected after working in Wuhan.
The day goes by without interruption; there’s not much news about the first infected person. Most people assume that everything is under control with the Chinese government locking down Wuhan.
You talk to a few friends from abroad and discuss the situation. One mentions that the virus was manufactured and meant to be used as a weapon. Another mentions that the government will try to downplay the situation and say everything is under control, but that’s only to prevent panic.
Each has their own theories on how the virus came to be and how it began to spread. You hope it’s something small and can easily be contained, but understand that it might become serious at any point.
Out of nowhere, someone mentions, “Hey, it might not be a bad idea to start stocking up on things; you never know.”
The rest of you laugh and make slight jokes about him being a survivalist or doomsday prepper. You, on the other hand, don’t think it’s a bad idea. “Hey guys, he might be right. People are going to start panicking if it does reach us. Not sure about you guys, but I’m the closest one to China, so I might buy some necessities, it won’t hurt.”
Your American friend says, ”Okay, okay, he has a point.” You all continue to talk for a bit more. One by one, your friends exit the chat, leaving only your American friend. “Hey, before you hang up, let me tell you something.”
”What is it?”
”Remember what our business professor said about following the money?”
”Yeah, I remember.”
”I don’t think this virus thing will be too bad, but if it does, just look at the stock market. You’ll know when shit hits the bricks if the markets start acting up. I suggest you look at the pharmaceutical companies.”
”Haha. That’s exactly what my broker said.”
”Hey, the money never lies.”
———
Weeks pass by, and not much occurs in terms of the virus. Most people continue to live their lives. There are a few cases here and there, but nothing major. The lockdown in Wuhan continues as the government tries to keep the virus from spreading.
People have begun to relax after no significant outbreaks and Korean citizens who came from China are closely monitored. Everything seemed well, and life continued normally. You and Dahyun celebrated Da-eun’s first birthday with a big party, as well as Jihyo’s 23rd birthday.
The members even had their concerts in Japan as scheduled, which was surprising. At one point, you laughed at yourself, thinking of when you purchased enough food and supplies to fill an entire room and prepare for the end of the world.
——
That all changed on February 23rd, 2020, when the virus mutated. Italy became the first country to be affected, and martial law was immediately implemented. Thousands of people were caught ill and many of them were hospitalized, never to be seen again. Italy was a popular destination spot for the elderly to retire and spend their golden years peacefully. Instead, the whole country closed, separating itself from its neighbors.
A few days earlier, the virus was given the official name COVID-19, also known as SARS-CoV-2, by the World Health Organization. After studying its strain, they thought the virus would be manageable and even developed a way to fight it. Instead, the virus mutated, adapting to the medicines given.
The name COVID-19 began spreading through multiple news outlets, reporting on third-world countries and the sudden mutation of the virus. Many of those countries had a sizeable elderly population or an unreliable health care system.
Back home, the streets of Daegu were empty as a result of a large gathering of churchgoers. Seventy new cases and the first death in Korea. Many people became scared, assuming that the virus would not spread due to the low numbers during these past few weeks.
In the following days, the number of cases skyrocketed, with 1,261 positive cases out of the 9,336 people tested from the mass gathering: many more dead, mainly those with low immune systems and old age.
Many entertainment agencies began to announce cancellations for their idols. JYP postponed any activities until further notice and ensured that the safety of their idols was their priority.
The members gather in the living room, watching the news as they see the chaos in Italy and Korea. The new anchors recommend, “Due to the sudden spike of infections, we suggest that the elderly, people who are immunocompromised, and those who are pregnant remain indoors for your safety. Only essential personnel…” You grab the remote and turn off the television.
”Girls, I have some news. JYP postponed all activities and suggested that we stay here until further notice. We have enough food and supplies, so we should be okay.”
”What about our parents?” You turn around and see the worried faces of the members.
”Let’s try to relax and get in touch with them. Tell them that we’re all okay and to remain indoors.”
The members agree and call their parents. Most of them respond by reassuring them that they’ll stay indoors.
“Oppa, I can’t get a hold of my parents.”  You see Tzuyu’s worried expression.
You hug Tzuyu and reassure her that everything is going to be okay. “They are going to be fine. I’m sure they are together and healthy. Let’s call them again in a few hours.”
”Oppa, I’m scared.”
Sana begins to cry. You hug her as well, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure that you all are safe. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
”But what if it gets worse? What if many more people start to die? I still haven’t told my parents that they are going to be grandparents yet.”
“What… What did you say?”
Sana looks down and places her hand on her stomach, “I just found out a few days ago I’m pregnant.”
“What, when, how?”
”I wanted to tell you, but with this situation going on, I couldn’t find the right time.”
You hug Sana, “Oh my god, are you sure?”
Sana nods, “Yeah, I took my tests, and they all came positive.”
”That’s amazing; oh my god, I’m going be a dad again, haha.” You pick Sana up from her feet and spin her around. Sana giggles, happy from your reaction.
You squat down, look at the kids, and say, “You’re all going to be big sisters. One more to the family.”
“Umm… Oppa… make that two more.”
You look up and see Momo holding her stomach. “It’s not just Sana; I’m pregnant too.”
“Wait… what?” You lose your balance as you try to get up. You see shining lights as you feel slightly lightheaded. “Two? Two more?”
fem!reader, no physical description, you’re basically her PR person. pro hero!momo, in my mind you're both in your twenties.
secret mutual pining, kinda fluffy, maybe the closest thing to angst you’ll get from me for now <3
Tumblr media
pining for momo yaoyorozu and not realizing it’s mutual.
you’ve known her for years, now. you didn’t have the pleasure of knowing her in high school, but she often mentions how much closer she feels to you than anyone who did.
you work for her behind the scenes, help her with her social media, book talk shows and interviews… but maybe more importantly, you’re someone she can rely on.
a friend.
you’re not sure exactly how you came to be so close, but you certainly don’t mind at all. you remember being at her side from the start of both of your careers, so you’ve truly grown together, in and out of the workplace.
a best friend.
you’re also not sure exactly when you begin to fall for her, but you don’t dare question it. in fact, you try your best to push it down out of fear you’ll ruin the best thing you’ve ever been a part of.
she’s spent so many phone calls with you singing your praises and thanking you for all of your support, unknowingly causing butterflies to erupt within you.
she cries in your arms when the days just get too much to handle, and then you're soothing her to sleep, letting her rest in your bed, getting in next to her. these are all things a good friend would do, wouldn't even think twice of. you watch her breathe, press your cheek to her hair and continue to stroke up and down her back... you play pretend for a moment and it's so very clear...
there's no way you could ever see her as just a friend.
one night, weeks later, you dream of leaning your head on her arm in the backseat of a car. you’re laughing together and she’s talking about something you can’t register because dream-you is too busy making note of the warmth of her toned arm. even from years of hero work, her skin is silky smooth. wounds endured have now faded into pale scars, bumps and bruises have disappeared for the time being.
the following morning, you’re barely able to look at her without thinking of the kiss you shared and the loving words you both whispered.
that same day, she comes back from patrol with new scrapes and bruises, but you notice that instead of heading to the infirmary she had been so adamant on adding to the floor plans of her agency’s building, she comes right to you.
and you gladly patch her up, even if it’s clumsy and not nearly as good of a job as the nurses could do. you apologize and she just smiles and thanks you.
neither of you say anything about your clasped hands or how you’re running your thumb over hers.
and poor momo doesn’t understand what’s happening to her. she’s not so unaware of her own feelings that she doesn’t know she’s falling for her best friend, but she’s conflicted.
do you feel the same? would you be disgusted with her for having feelings for someone who is still technically her employee and coworker? no, she’ll push it down and try to forget about it.
it’s safer that way, she reasons.
she’ll do talk shows and brush off any questions about her love life, subconsciously letting her eyes flicker to you for a moment. she hates the interviewer for asking her that with you in the room, not really understanding why she feels guilty when you’re not even together.
even her friends from high school have begun to comment on how close the two of you seem, teasing her about how she gets starry eyed when you’re close by.
one night she dreams that you’re cooking with her in her penthouse apartment, stealing kisses and cuddling on the couch. her dream self does her best to memorize every second of it- the feel of your hands on her with a sort of gentleness she’s never felt from you before. the smell of your perfume, one she remembers your dream-self saying she picked out just for your date.
she can’t look at your properly the next morning without remembering how you looked twisted so comfortably in her sheets under different circumstances than you normally would be.
later that same day, she decides to go straight to you after patrol, praying to whoever would listen that you’d patch her up and she could feel your hands on her again. no matter how brief and how cold in comparison to what she had experienced in her dreams, she'll take it.
because she's pining, and anything is better than nothing.
and you'll continue to do it for the same reasons.
neither of you will say anything yet, out of fear of changing something that's healthier than any other relationship both of you have ever been in, so strong, so good, despite not even being together.
but maybe one day you won’t just be dreaming.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
hmmmm idk folks, I hope it didn't get confusing at any point. I'm trying a whole bunch of different styles, so I figured this would be interesting at best. and I desperately needed to write for momo, she's my everything <3
(I am so open to expanding on this in the future btw, I'm a sucker for fluffy bnha girls)

HOW DO THEY KISS
♱ includes: takakura "okarun" ken, enjoji "jiji" jin, ayase momo, zuma unji
♱ warnings: character/s from the manga
Tumblr media
OKARUN
he was nervous at first. he overthinks every aspect of the kiss. okarun is the type of person to rehearse how to lean in, how to angle his head, and whether he should close his eyes. all of that just to fail his kiss to you. it was messy, he couldn’t stop shaking and sweating as his lips were puckered out while touching yours, his eyes were shut closed too scared to open it ever again. and after the kiss he would blush crazy, red as a tomato. he would shout (unintentionally) “was it okay?!”
JIJI
oh don’t even expect a non-funny way for him to kiss you tbh. jiji’s kisses are unpredictable and loooves to catch you off-guard to see your embarrassed expression. like he would kiss you on the cheek quickly following to your lips. though at times he is actually an endearing guy, brushing your hair away and cup your cheeks before leaning into a sweet kiss. he’s also cheeky afterwards, saying, “see, told ya i’d make your heart race”
MOMO
momo’s kisses are actually straightforward yet sincere. not a person with big gestures or any of those super romantical kisses. she kisses you as if she’s anchoring you to the moment, her lips warm and steady against yours. momo might hold your hand or gently brush her fingers along your jaw. she is also a tease, “i think you’ve got something on your lips”
ZUMA
he has this old school romantic thing where he’ll hold your hand or place his palm on your waist. his kisses are slow and gentle, taking both of your time like no one’s around and he makes sure you feel cherished. after the kiss, he would rest his forehead against yours and says something like, “you deserve everything”
Tumblr media
a/n: hey y'all thank you sm cuz i js got back to tumblr from a busy week and my notifs were BOMBARDED. it's super short tho i have some drafts waiting. but anws thanks again! about adding Saint-Germain, it might take a while since we haven't known him a lot in the recent manga just a couple chapters of him so it'll be a little tricky trying to make a fic about him, tho he's in my list already!

Rainy Days and Bunny Ways🐰
Ft. Im Nayeon of TWICE | A Male Reader One Shot.
Genre: Fluff and... Fluff hehe. It has a lot of cooking giddy scene because it always gets my heart racing
Word count: 8443
Backstory: Nayeon and You have been friends for quite a while? How you met? Well, She is of course a member of TWICE and You were a soloist under the stage name (Whatever you think of it) and Song Producer who have contributed to TWICE's Discography. Since then, You and her hit it off. Maybe there is a chance of a flower of feelings blooming in her amidst the pressure of Being "Im Nayeon".
This is just a random one-shot i had in draft for long and just uploaded it. I made it because i watched some cute Nayeon moments and i wanted to make something fluffy imagining her
Y/N: "Ahhh, such a peaceful rainy day
The sound of rain pattering against your window was soothing, a perfect backdrop to the peaceful silence in your apartment. You were lounging on the couch, scrolling through your phone, when the doorbell rang, breaking the calm.
Before you could even get up to answer, the door creaked open. In stepped Nayeon, dripping wet from the rain. Her hair clung to her face, but despite the downpour outside, she wore that signature mischievous grin of hers.
Nayeon: "Anneonghaseyo..."
Tumblr media
You blinked in surprise, setting your phone aside as she walked in without waiting for an invitation. You raised an eyebrow.
Y/N: "Nayeon? What the-how did you-?"
Nayeon: shrugs dramatically "I couldn't help it. The rain's terrible out there, and I figured, hey, your apartment's closer than mine. Might as well crash here for a bit."
Y/N: "You're always so spontaneous." You laughed, getting up and walking toward the door to close it. "I guess you really are making yourself at home."
She rolled her eyes, but her lips still curved upward. She kicked off her shoes and casually plopped down on the couch, making herself comfortable, as though this was just another day.
Nayeon: "I didn't think I'd have to knock, honestly. I mean, we're friends, right?" Her voice was playful, but there was something in her eyes-a subtle shift that made you pause.
Y/N: smiling, though slightly concerned "Yeah, we are friends... but you usually call first, Nayeon."
Nayeon: "Where's the fun in that?" She glanced at you, her expression light but not entirely matching the brightness in her tone. "Plus, I thought you'd be happy to see me."
You sat down beside her, sensing there was more to this unexpected visit. Nayeon, who was always the one making everyone laugh, didn't seem like her usual self. There was a weariness to her posture, and her playful demeanor felt forced.
Y/N: "You okay?"
Nayeon: pauses "Of course I'm okay..." She paused again, her fingers absentmindedly playing with the sleeve of her jacket. "Just... needed a break from everything."
You eyed her carefully, not buying the 'I'm fine' excuse. You'd known her long enough to recognize when she was masking something deeper.
Y/N: "You sure? You don't seem like your usual self today."
Nayeon: sighs "You're always so observant, aren't you?" She chuckled lightly, but there was no real joy in it. "I don't know, I just... need to breathe, you know? It's like everything's been piling up lately, and I feel like I'm stuck in this constant performance."
Her voice wavered slightly, and that's when you realized something was definitely off. Nayeon wasn't one to open up easily, especially about personal stuff like this.
Y/N: "You can tell me, you know. You don't always have to be the 'Nayeon' everyone expects. You can be yourself here."
She met your gaze, her eyes softening, almost hesitant.
Nayeon: "I don't know how to be anyone else. I've been the 'happy-go-lucky' Nayeon for so long, sometimes I forget what it's like to just be me."
The words hung in the air, and for a moment, you didn't know how to respond. It was rare for Nayeon to drop the act, and it made you realize just how much she carried on her shoulders every day-being the center of attention, the one everyone looked to for energy and smiles.
Y/N: "You don't have to keep up the act with me, Nayeon. I get it. You can take a break."
She smiled faintly, but it was a different smile-one that was more vulnerable.
Nayeon: "You're a good listener, Y/N." Her voice was quieter now, a small, appreciative glimmer in her eyes. "Maybe I needed someone to talk to more than I realized."
Y/N: softly "You know I'm always here for you, right?"
For a moment, the two of you just sat there in the quiet of your apartment, the steady rhythm of the rain accompanying the rare and intimate silence between you. Nayeon looked down at her hands, her fingers absently twirling a strand of wet hair.
Nayeon: "I just feel... like there's no time for me anymore. Everything's about the next performance, the next stage, the next expectation. It's exhausting."
You nodded, understanding the weight she was carrying. She had to constantly be 'on' for everyone-TWICE's cheerful and charismatic Nayeon. But who was she behind the idol persona? That was the question she never really answered.
Y/N: "You deserve to have time for yourself, Nayeon. You're more than just an idol, you know."
Her eyes flickered up to meet yours, her gaze soft yet searching.
Nayeon: "Do you really think that?" Her voice was quiet, almost uncertain.
Y/N: "Of course. You've always been more than what people see on stage."
For a brief moment, it felt like you were both just two people, sitting in a room, no expectations, no roles. Just Nayeon and you.
Her gaze lingered on you for a heartbeat longer, before she shifted, her usual teasing tone returning.
Nayeon: "Well, I guess I do have one request, then..." Her lips curled into a playful grin.
Y/N: "What's that?"
Nayeon: "Can I stay here for a little longer? It's nice to have someone who doesn't expect me to be Nayeon, the Bunny of TWICE."
You nodded without hesitation.
Y/N: "Stay as long as you want."
Nayeon leaned back against the couch, her expression lightening as she tucked her damp hair behind her ear, the weight of her earlier words slowly melting away.
Tumblr media
The rain outside had softened, leaving only a gentle mist hanging in the air. The two of you were still on the couch, the room cozy despite the weather, the quiet broken only by the occasional sound of rain tapping against the windows. Nayeon had relaxed, but the heaviness in her eyes was still there, hidden just beneath her playful mask. You could tell she was trying to bury it, but it kept seeping through. You had said it earlier, but you couldn't shake the feeling that something more was on her mind-something she wasn't saying.
You both sat in silence for a while, her feet tucked up under her and her head leaning back against the couch. Her eyes were closed, but the tension in her shoulders was evident. You had given her space, not wanting to push her, but it was hard to ignore the growing weight in your chest. Nayeon wasn't just tired; she was burdened. She wasn't just a happy idol here. She was... just Nayeon, a person with her own struggles, her own fears.
Y/N: softly "You know, I never realized how much pressure you were under until now."
Her eyes fluttered open, her gaze falling on you. There was something different about the way she looked at you in that moment-more than just the usual teasing or flirtation. It was as if, for once, she wasn't hiding anything. She wasn't trying to put on a show.
Nayeon: quietly "It's hard, Y/N. I don't think anyone truly gets it. They all see the smiles, the energy, the laughter-but there's so much more beneath the surface. It's exhausting, always being 'Im Nayeon.'"
The vulnerability in her voice caught you off guard. You had always seen Nayeon as the one who could handle anything, the one who could make anyone smile no matter the situation. But here she was, admitting something you'd never heard her say before.
Y/N: gently "I think... I think I get it more than you think." You leaned forward slightly, catching her eyes. "You've always been the strong one, the one who holds everything together. But it's okay to let go sometimes. You don't have to carry everything on your own."
Nayeon blinked, her lips parting slightly as if she was about to say something, but then she paused. The air between you both felt thick, as if the words she wanted to say were just waiting to be set free. Slowly, she shifted on the couch, sitting up a little straighter.
Nayeon: softly "I don't know how to let go, Y/N. I've spent so long holding everything together... I don't know what it means to be anything else." She looked down at her hands, the hesitation in her movements palpable. "I guess that's why I came here today. I didn't know who else to turn to."
Tumblr media
You could feel your heart ache for her. Nayeon was the embodiment of strength for everyone else, but she was never given a chance to be vulnerable, to just be herself without the expectations of the world weighing on her.
Y/N: "You don't have to be perfect all the time. It's okay to break down sometimes." You reached out, your hand resting gently on hers. "It's okay to need someone."
Nayeon glanced up at you, her eyes locking with yours, and for the first time that day, she didn't look away. The walls she had built around herself, the act she put on for the world, were crumbling bit by bit. And in that moment, she was just Nayeon. Not the idol, not the performer, but the woman who had been holding it all together for far too long.
Nayeon: in a small voice "Do you really mean that?" She seemed to be searching your face for any hint of doubt, but there was none. Only sincerity.
You gave her a small, reassuring smile.
Y/N: "I mean it." You squeezed her hand gently. "You're not alone, Nayeon. Not now, not ever."
For a long moment, neither of you spoke. There was nothing else to say. The weight of her words had been shared, and it was as if the room itself exhaled with her. Nayeon's shoulders seemed to relax, just a little, and the guarded look in her eyes softened.
Then, slowly, she smiled. A real smile. Not the playful one or the teasing one, but something deeper, more genuine. It was a smile that spoke of relief, of finally finding a space where she didn't have to hide, where she could simply be herself.
Nayeon: "Thank you, Y/N. I didn't realize how much I needed this."
Her voice was soft, but there was a warmth to it, a sense of comfort she hadn't shown in a long time. In that moment, you knew she wasn't just grateful for the company. She was grateful for the fact that she could be real with you-something she rarely allowed herself to do with anyone.
And in that moment, you realized that the bond between you and Nayeon wasn't just about the moments of laughter or casual interactions. It was about understanding each other on a deeper level, beyond the surface, beyond the fame and the expectations. It was about being there for each other, even when the world was too much to bear.
The room felt warmer now, the tension slowly melting away, replaced by a comforting silence between you and Nayeon. But you could feel something still lingering in the air-something unspoken, something that needed to be said. Nayeon had opened up to you, more than she ever had before, but there was still a weight in her eyes. Something still unsettled her.
You sat across from her, watching her carefully, when she finally broke the silence.
Nayeon: softly "Y/N... can I ask you something?"
You looked up, noticing the slight tremor in her voice. Something about her tone felt different, quieter, as if she was steeling herself for something important.
Y/N: "Of course. You can ask me anything, Nayeon."
She hesitated for a moment, her fingers nervously twisting the hem of her sleeve, a habit you had come to recognize as a sign of unease. Her eyes were on the floor now, and the vulnerability in her expression made your heart ache. You could tell this was something she had been holding in for a while.
Nayeon: "I... I don't know how to say this, but..." She trailed off, taking a deep breath before meeting your gaze. Her voice shook ever so slightly, but it was steady enough for you to catch the intensity in her eyes. "I've been thinking a lot lately, about us. About how I feel about you."
You sat up straighter, your heart beginning to race. You had a feeling this was coming, but hearing her say it out loud was something entirely different. Your mind raced, but you stayed quiet, giving her the space to continue.
Y/N: softly "Nay-..."
Nayeon: cutting you off "No, wait. I need to say this." She swallowed hard, her voice a little firmer now, though still uncertain. "I've been hiding it for so long. I've kept this... this feeling buried because I didn't know how to deal with it. But I can't pretend anymore."
She paused, taking another deep breath, her eyes never leaving yours. There was something raw and vulnerable about the way she looked at you now. It wasn't the usual playful or teasing Nayeon-it was someone entirely different. Someone who had finally found the courage to be real.
Nayeon: "I think... I think I've been falling for you, Y/N. For a while now."
Tumblr media
Her words hit you like a wave. You blinked, not sure how to process what she had just said. But there was no mistaking it-the sincerity in her voice was undeniable. You could see the truth of it in her eyes even though she hid it with her palms in uncertainty and fear, the way she was holding herself, so exposed and vulnerable, waiting for your reaction.
Y/N: quietly "Nayeon... I-"
Nayeon: quickly "I know, I know this is sudden. I know it might be too much. But I've been holding this in for so long, and it's been driving me crazy. I couldn't keep pretending that it was just friendship. It's more than that. It's... I feel something deeper for you, Y/N."
The words hung in the air between you, and for a moment, you didn't know how to respond. Nayeon had never been this honest before, never allowed herself to be this vulnerable. It took a lot of courage to say what she just did. You couldn't ignore the depth of her feelings, but at the same time, you didn't want to make her feel like you were dismissing what she had just confessed.
You took a deep breath, shifting slightly on the couch to face her fully. You didn't want to rush this. You didn't want her to feel like she had said all of that for nothing. So, instead of blurting out something hasty, you let the silence settle for a moment, giving yourself time to choose your words carefully.
Y/N: calmly "Nayeon, I... I appreciate you telling me this. I know it wasn't easy." You looked her directly in the eyes, your voice steady. "I want you to know that I understand how you feel. I really do. I've been thinking a lot about... us, too."
Nayeon's eyes widened slightly, her lips parting as if she were about to speak, but you gently held up your hand, signaling her to wait.
Y/N: "But I also want you to know that I'm not going to rush into anything. I don't want to make any decisions based on impulse or because of how we're feeling in this moment. What you've told me... it means a lot, Nayeon. It really does."
She nodded slowly, her expression softening. You could see the relief in her face, though there was still a trace of doubt in her eyes, as if she were waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Y/N: "I think I've been feeling the same way for a while now, but it's not just about rushing into something. It's about being sure, about making sure that this is something we both want, for the right reasons."
Nayeon looked at you, her lips slightly trembling as if she were processing your words. You reached out, gently taking her hand in yours, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
Y/N: "I'm not saying 'no.' I'm just saying... let's take this one step at a time, okay? We both deserve to take it slow and figure things out together."
Nayeon's face softened, and her shoulders seemed to relax as she took in your words. Slowly, she nodded, a small but genuine smile tugging at her lips.
Nayeon: "Yeah... that sounds good. I can wait." She gave you a playful, teasing grin. "But just so you know, I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me now."
You chuckled, the tension finally easing between the two of you. The weight of her confession, of your own feelings, was still there, but it no longer felt suffocating. It felt like a beginning-something new, something real.
Y/N: smiling "I think I can handle that."
And just like that, the air between you both shifted. The uncertainty and weight of the moment gave way to something lighter, something more hopeful. The first step had been taken. The rest? That would come in time.
Nayeon: grinning "So, Y/N, does this mean I'm officially your girlfriend now? Or are we still in that weird 'figuring things out' phase?"
Y/N: raising an eyebrow "We're definitely still in the 'figuring things out' phase. Can't rush these things. I've got to make sure you're not just a one-time fling, you know."
Nayeon: mock gasps "A one-time fling? Excuse me? I'm a full-package deal. I don't do 'flings.' I'm commitment material, Y/N. Big time."
Y/N: smirking "Oh, really? That's funny, because you can't even commit to finishing a cup of coffee without getting distracted."
Nayeon: laughing "Hey, I'm a busy woman! Besides, I just want to keep things exciting. Keeps you on your toes, right?"
Y/N: sighing dramatically "Yeah, I'm definitely on my toes. And my patience, apparently. You've already managed to make me late for three meetings in a row. You're a handful, Nayeon."
Nayeon: teasing "Well, maybe you're just bad at time management. I think we need to work on your priorities here. You should be making time for me, not your boring old meetings."
Y/N: playfully rolling his eyes "Boring? Those meetings are what pay the bills. How else are you going to keep buying all those ridiculous outfits?"
Nayeon: mock offense "Excuse me, my outfits are an investment in style. It's called 'fashion,' Y/N. Maybe you should try it sometime."
Y/N: grinning "Oh, I've seen your wardrobe. There's more glitter and sequins in your closet than at a Vegas show. I'm starting to wonder if you're secretly auditioning for the next big performance."
Nayeon: snorts "I'm a star, Y/N. You just don't recognize it yet. When I hit the stage, it's like the world stops. You'll see." She winks dramatically.
Y/N: smirking "I'm sure. Just make sure you don't blind anyone with all that glitter. You know, safety first."
Nayeon: laughing "I'm a professional, okay? I've got it under control. Unlike you, who can barely juggle his calendar without turning it into a disaster."
Y/N: mock hurt "Wow, this is harsh. I thought we were in the 'figuring things out' phase, not roasting each other alive."
Nayeon: grinning mischievously "Oh, we are. But part of figuring things out is knowing how to handle the heat, right? You've got to be able to keep up with me, Y/N. Otherwise, I'll just leave you in the dust."
Y/N: laughing "Leave me in the dust? I'm pretty sure I've been handling your chaos just fine. And if you think I can't keep up, then you clearly haven't seen me handle you at full speed."
Nayeon: raising an eyebrow "Oh, really? Is that a challenge? Because I'm more than happy to prove you wrong. Just say the word."
Y/N: playfully grinning "Alright, alright. But no promises that I'll go easy on you. I've been known to win a few challenges in my time."
Nayeon: mockingly "Oh please. You're adorable when you try to act tough. I can already hear the excuses you'll make when I crush you."
Y/N: laughing "Excuses? There won't be any excuses, Nayeon. I'll beat you fair and square. And then, I'll make you regret ever challenging me."
Nayeon: teasing "Oh, I'm already regretting it. But hey, what's life without a little bit of fun, right? Besides, I like watching you squirm when you lose. It's cute."
Y/N: mock indignation "Cute? You think me losing is cute? You're really going to go there, huh?"
Nayeon: "Oh, don't worry. I'll go easy on you. After all, I'm a lady. And ladies don't like to humiliate their partners too much."
And she shot her famous bunny grin at you again.
Tumblr media
Y/N: laughing "I'm not your partner yet, Nayeon. Remember, we're still in the 'figuring things out' stage. I haven't agreed to any humiliations just yet."
Nayeon: playfully pouting "Aw, come on, Y/N. Don't be so uptight. You'll be fine. I'll make sure I leave you with at least a little bit of dignity."
Y/N: grinning "Oh, don't worry. I don't need your pity. I'll beat you so thoroughly that you'll be the one needing my help to pick up the pieces."
Nayeon: laughing "I'm looking forward to it, Y/N. Let's see if you can back up that big talk. But just remember, I'm the one who holds the winning card here. You're about to find out just how hard it is to keep up with me."
Y/N: narrowing his eyes "We'll see about that. But I'll warn you, Nayeon... once I start, there's no turning back. You'll be begging for mercy."
Nayeon: teasing "Begging for mercy? Hah, I highly doubt it. You'll be the one begging once I'm done with you."
Y/N: grinning widely "Alright, alright. Let's get this over with then. Prepare to be humbled, Nayeon."
Nayeon: grinning back "We'll see who's humbled by the end of this. You're on, Y/N. Let the games begin."
The banter from earlier still lingers in the air, the playful energy between you and Nayeon refusing to die down. She stands in front of you, her eyes mischievously gleaming, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth as much as you do. But something shifts in the air now, something unspoken but palpable.
You take a step back, trying to hide the sudden rush of nerves settling in your stomach. The playful teasing has always been your thing, your way of keeping things light between the two of you, but now... now it feels different. You can't quite place it, but there's a tension hanging between you, thick enough to feel in the pit of your stomach.
Nayeon notices it too. She steps closer, closing the gap between the two of you, her gaze not leaving yours.
Nayeon: softly, but with a playful glint "You're not getting cold feet, are you?"
You chuckle nervously, attempting to brush it off, but her eyes seem to peer right through you. There's a quiet intensity in her gaze, one that matches the shift in the atmosphere. She's always been this confident, this bold, but now there's something deeper behind her usual teasing smile.
Y/N: grinning, trying to act nonchalant "Cold feet? Never. Just... letting you catch up. You've been getting ahead of yourself today."
Nayeon raises an eyebrow, leaning in closer, her face now mere inches from yours. The air around you both feels heavy, thick with unspoken words, and something else, something that feels like it's been building for longer than either of you would care to admit.
Nayeon: low and teasing "Oh really? You're saying I'm ahead of you?" She smirks, letting her gaze travel down for a moment before returning to your eyes. "Then maybe you should take the lead."
Her voice is hushed now, softer, and there's a warmth in her words that wasn't there before. It catches you off guard, and your heart skips a beat. You're both standing close enough now that you can feel the heat of her body, the scent of her perfume lingering in the air, mixing with the familiar scent of your apartment. The closeness is intoxicating.
Tumblr media
You try to say something, to crack another joke, but the words get caught in your throat. Instead, all you can do is hold her gaze, the playful banter long gone from your mind. In this moment, everything feels charged, as if the world has paused just for the two of you.
She takes another step closer, her lips just a breath away from yours. You can hear her soft breathing, feel the slight shiver in the air as her gaze drops to your lips and then back up to your eyes.
Nayeon: quietly, almost in a whisper "Y/N..."
Your name escapes her lips like a delicate melody, and it sends a shiver down your spine. The weight of the moment presses down on you, and you can no longer deny what's been building between the two of you. It's as if everything else has faded away, leaving just the two of you in this charged space, caught between what's been said and what's left unspoken.
You want to kiss her. The realization hits you harder than you expect. It's not some impulsive decision, not something borne out of the teasing and playful banter. This is real, this is different. You want her, want to feel the softness of her lips, want to taste the sweetness of her kiss. It's been there all along, just buried beneath layers of jokes and casual touches. But now... now it's undeniable.
You raise your hand, hesitating for just a moment before reaching out to gently brush a lock of hair behind her ear. The touch is soft, delicate, almost reverent. It's enough to draw her attention, her eyes flickering down to your lips before meeting your gaze once more.
For a brief second, you wonder if you're misreading this, if she's feeling the same thing, but the way she leans in, her breath mingling with yours, tells you everything you need to know.
Y/N: softly, voice steady but heart pounding "Nay, I--...."
And then, she closes the distance.
Her lips meet yours gently at first, testing, like the first drop of rain after a long dry spell. But then it deepens, and you feel the urgency in the way she presses against you, as if she's been waiting for this moment just as much as you have. Her hands find their way to your neck, pulling you closer, her fingers threading through your hair, and you're lost in it. Her lips are soft, yet firm, claiming you in a way that sends every ounce of reason scrambling for escape.
You return the kiss with just as much intensity, your hands moving to her waist, pulling her closer, as if there's nothing in the world that could keep you apart. The taste of her is sweet, addictive, and you lose yourself in the way she molds against you, her body pressing closer as if there's nowhere else she'd rather be.
For a moment, everything else ceases to matter. The teasing, the playful banter, the doubts, the uncertainty-all of it fades into the background as you focus only on the feeling of her in your arms, the warmth of her lips against yours, the way she fits so perfectly.
When you finally pull away, your breaths are ragged, your heart racing in a way it never has before. You rest your forehead against hers, both of you still catching your breath, the silence between you now comfortable, intimate.
Nayeon: softly, with a smug way of brushing her hair back "So... does this mean we're done 'figuring things' out?"
Tumblr media
You chuckle, running a hand through your hair, still trying to regain some semblance of composure. But the grin on your face is wide, a mix of disbelief and excitement, because deep down, you both know this is the beginning of something far more real than you could have imagined.
Y/N: smiling, voice steady "I think... I think we've figured it out."
And you both laugh softly, the moment between you still charged, but now, it's comfortable. It's right. And somehow, in this tangled mess of emotions, this kiss-this single, simple act-has sealed what was always meant to be.
(Time skip to Morning)
The morning light filters through the windows of your apartment, casting a soft glow over the room. Nayeon is curled up against you, her arms draped lazily around your torso, her head tucked beneath your chin. The steady rhythm of her breathing is soothing, a reminder of how peaceful these moments are when it's just the two of you.
Tumblr media
She stirs slightly, nuzzling closer like a kitten seeking warmth. Her hair tickles your neck, and you can't help but smile at the sight of her so relaxed, so unguarded. It's a side of Nayeon the world rarely gets to see-her soft, clingy bunny self.
Nayeon: murmuring sleepily "Y/N... why're you up already?"
You chuckle softly, adjusting your position so she can rest more comfortably.
Y/N: teasingly "Because someone's been hogging all the covers. I got cold."
Her eyes flutter open, and she narrows them at you playfully before snuggling even closer.
Nayeon: grinning "You're not cold now, are you? You have me. I'm way better than any blanket."
You brush a strand of hair from her face, marveling at how stunning she looks even in the simplest moments.
Y/N: softly "You're right. You're better than anything."
She giggles, her signature bunny smile lighting up her face as she pokes your cheek.
Nayeon: teasingly "Of course, I am. You scored Im Nayeon of TWICE, not some random girl. You better treat me right, Y/N."
Her tone is playful, but there's an underlying sincerity in her words. She's teasing, but you know she's also reminding you how much this means to her-to both of you.
Y/N: grinning "Don't worry. I know exactly how lucky I am. I wouldn't dream of messing this up."
She seems satisfied with your answer, her arms tightening around you as she lets out a content sigh.
Later, as the rain begins to patter gently against the windows, the two of you find yourselves lounging on the couch. Nayeon has claimed her spot, tucked comfortably against your side with a blanket draped over both of you.
Nayeon: suddenly, with a mischievous grin "So... when are you taking me on an official date?"
You glance at her, amused by her sudden question.
Y/N: raising an eyebrow "Is this your way of asking me out? Shouldn't I be the one doing that?"
She rolls her eyes, poking your side in retaliation.
Nayeon: "Don't twist this around. I'm just saying, it's about time you show me off properly. You know, as your girlfriend."
The word "girlfriend" sends a thrill through you, even though it's still so new.
Y/N: thoughtfully "Alright, Ms. Im Nayeon of TWICE. What does your dream first date look like?"
She taps her chin, pretending to think hard about it.
Nayeon: dramatically "Hmm... let's see. Fancy dinner? Nah, too cliché. A walk on the beach? Too cold right now. Oh! Maybe something cozy, like a movie night under the stars."
Y/N: smiling "That sounds perfect. But with the rain, we might have to improvise."
Her eyes light up as an idea strikes her.
Nayeon: excitedly "What if we do something simple? Like cooking together at home? You know, a little romantic, a little chaotic."
You chuckle at the thought.
Y/N: "Cooking together? Are you sure you're ready to see how bad I am in the kitchen?"
She smirks, her confidence unwavering.
Nayeon: "Don't worry. I'll supervise. You just have to follow my instructions. Easy peasy."
You laugh, knowing full well that nothing with Nayeon is ever as simple as she makes it sound.
As the two of you finalize the plans for your cozy, at-home date, the conversation drifts into more reflective territory. Nayeon turns to face you, her expression softer now, more serious.
Nayeon: quietly "You know... this is still a little surreal for me. Us, I mean."
You take her hand, squeezing it gently.
Y/N: reassuringly "It's surreal for me too. But it feels right, doesn't it?"
She nods, her eyes glistening with emotion.
Nayeon: "It does. It really does. I just... I don't want anything to ruin this. Not my career, not the pressure from fans, nothing."
You pull her closer, wrapping your arms around her in a protective embrace.
Y/N: firmly "Nothing's going to ruin this. We'll figure it out together, one step at a time."
She smiles, her confidence returning as she presses a kiss to your cheek.
Nayeon: playfully "Alright then, Mr. Boyfriend. Let's seal the deal with a kiss."
She pulled you in a lovely kiss. Her lips felt soft almost squishy in a way which was just "Nayeon" like. The kiss is soft and tender, a perfect blend of affection and promise. Her lips curve into a smile against yours, and when she pulls away, she's back to her usual playful self.
Nayeon: grinning "Okay, enough mushy stuff. I'm hungry. Go make me something delicious!"
You raise an eyebrow, amused by her sudden change in tone.
Y/N: teasingly "You're awfully demanding for someone who just got promoted to girlfriend status."
She pokes your chest, pouting adorably.
Nayeon: "Excuse me? I think I've earned the right to be demanding. Besides, it's raining, and rainy weather calls for comfort food. Chop chop!"
Laughing, you get up from the couch, heading to the kitchen. She follows close behind, like a shadow, clearly not planning to leave you alone.
Y/N: playfully "Are you going to help, or just supervise?"
Nayeon: grinning "I'm the quality control. Someone has to make sure you don't mess up."
The two of you spend the next hour in the kitchen, laughing and teasing as you prepare her favorite dish. She steals bites when she thinks you're not looking, giggling when you catch her red-handed.
By the time the food is ready, the rain has turned into a soft drizzle, and the two of you settle back on the couch with your plates, the warmth of the meal and each other's presence filling the room with a sense of contentment.
As you sit there, sharing food and laughter, you can't help but feel that this is what happiness looks like-simple, unpretentious, and shared with the person who makes your world brighter with every smile.
Nayeon leans her head on your shoulder, her voice soft but full of warmth.
Nayeon: "You're not so bad, Y/N. Maybe I'll keep you around for a while."
You laugh, wrapping an arm around her.
Y/N: teasingly "Only 'for a while'? I was hoping for something a little more permanent."
She looks up at you, her eyes sparkling.
Nayeon: smiling "We'll see... but you're off to a pretty good start."
And with that, she presses a kiss to your cheek, sealing the moment with the kind of love that feels both exciting and comfortably familiar-like home.
This is where your journey together truly begins, not as two people finding their way to each other, but as a team, ready to take on whatever the world throws at you, one playful banter and shared meal at a time.
The rain had settled into a gentle rhythm against the windows, its soothing sound filling the quiet of the apartment. You were in the kitchen, sleeves rolled up and focused on chopping banana for the custard you had promised Nayeon. The warm scent of custard mix and cold mist of mango ice cream already filled the air, a comforting contrast to the cool, rainy weather outside.
Behind you, you could hear the faint patter of bare feet on the floor before a pair of slender arms slipped around your waist.
Nayeon: softly "What are you making for me, chef Y/N?"
Her voice was playful, laced with affection as she rested her chin on your shoulder.
Y/N: chuckling "You'll see. Patience, bunny."
She giggled at the nickname, nuzzling her face into the crook of your neck.
Nayeon: murmuring "Patience is overrated. I'd rather watch you cook. You look so cute when you're concentrating."
You glanced over your shoulder at her, raising an eyebrow.
Y/N: "Cute, huh? Are you trying to distract me so I mess up?"
Nayeon: grinning "Maybe. Is it working?"
You laughed, shaking your head as you returned to your chopping. But Nayeon wasn't done with you yet. She moved to your side, leaning against the counter with her arms crossed and an adorably pouty expression on her face.
Nayeon: dramatically "You're ignoring me, Y/N. That's so mean. I thought I was your girlfriend now."
You couldn't help but smile at her antics.
Y/N: teasingly "I'm not ignoring you. I'm just making sure you don't go hungry. Isn't that what a good boyfriend does?"
Nayeon: huffing "A good boyfriend also pays attention to his girlfriend. Like, maybe gives her a kiss or two while he's cooking."
You set the knife down, turning to face her with a smirk.
Y/N: "A kiss or two, huh? Is that all you want?"
She nodded, her eyes wide and innocent as she leaned closer.
Nayeon: softly "For now."
Unable to resist, you leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. But before you could pull away, she tugged you closer, her lips meeting yours in a sweet, lingering kiss that left you both smiling.
Nayeon: whispering against your lips "Now that's more like it."
As you returned to the stove, stirring the pot, Nayeon stayed close, her hand resting lightly on your arm. She hummed a tune under her breath, a soft, melodic sound that made your heart swell.
Nayeon: curiously "What are you making, anyway? It smells amazing."
Y/N: "It's your favorite custard type, remember? You mentioned it earlier."
Her eyes lit up, a bright smile spreading across her face.
Nayeon: "You remembered? Y/N, you're the best!"
She reached up to pinch your cheek affectionately, laughing when you swatted her hand away.
Y/N: grinning "Of course, I remembered. How could I forget something so important? Because you would choke me if i forget "
Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she ducked her head, suddenly shy.
Nayeon: murmuring "I dont do that! But You're really sweet, you know that?"
You glanced at her, surprised by her sudden bashfulness.
Y/N: "Only for you, Nayeon. Don't get used to it."
She laughed, the sound filling the room like sunshine breaking through the rain.
As the food finished cooking, Nayeon insisted on helping you set the table, though her version of "helping" mostly involved sneaking bites of food and teasing you every chance she got.
Nayeon: grinning "You know, this could be our thing. Cooking together on rainy days."
Y/N: smirking "You mean me cooking while you 'supervise'?"
She stuck her tongue out at you, her playful nature shining through.
Nayeon: "Hey, I'm great at supervising. And taste-testing. That's important too!"
You shook your head, laughing as you placed the final dish on the table.
Y/N: "Alright, Ms. Taste-Tester. Let's see if it's up to your standards."
She took a bite, her eyes widening in delight.
Nayeon: "Y/N, this is amazing! I knew you were talented, but this... this is boyfriend material right here."
You rolled your eyes at her dramatic praise, though you couldn't help but feel a surge of pride at her reaction.
Y/N: teasingly "High praise coming from Im Nayeon of TWICE. Should I frame that?"
She laughed, reaching across the table to swat at your hand.
Nayeon: "Don't push your luck, chef. Now eat before it gets warm!"
After dinner, the two of you found yourselves back on the couch, the rain still tapping softly against the windows. Nayeon was curled up beside you, her head resting on your shoulder as she traced random patterns on your arm with her fingers.
Nayeon: softly "Today was perfect. Thank you, Y/N."
You turned to look at her, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
Y/N: "It's not over yet. There's still dessert."
Her eyes lit up, and she sat up excitedly.
Nayeon: "Dessert? Didnt we have custard already? What is it?"
You grinned, keeping your answer a mystery as you got up and headed to the kitchen. When you returned with a small plate of chocolate-syrup covered vanilla ice cream, her face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning.
Nayeon: "Y/N, you're spoiling me. I could get used to this."
Y/N: smirking "That's the plan."
She laughed, pulling you back down beside her and feeding you one of the strawberries.
Nayeon: teasingly "You know, if you keep this up, I might never let you go."
Y/N: softly "Good. I wasn't planning on going anywhere."
Her smile softened, and she leaned in to press a gentle kiss to your lips.
Nayeon: whispering "You're really good at this boyfriend thing"
Y/N: grinning "And you're really good at being my girlfriend."
She laughed, her cheeks flushing slightly as she cuddled closer to you.
Nayeon: "We make a pretty good team, don't we?"
Y/N: "The best."
And as the rain continued to fall outside, you held her close, the warmth of her presence filling your heart with a sense of peace and happiness you had never known before.
The rain outside turned heavier, its rhythmic patter filling the apartment with a cozy, calming atmosphere. You stood by the counter, preparing the next dish Nayeon had requested, gosh how much she wants to eat?? but she had other ideas.
Her arms snaked around your waist from behind, and you felt her soft cheek press against your back.
Nayeon: murmuring "It's cold. Let me stay like this."
You paused for a moment, smiling to yourself before continuing to chop the vegetables.
Y/N: "You know, it's hard to cook when you're clinging to me like this."
Nayeon: teasingly "Then don't cook. Stay here and cuddle me instead."
You turned slightly, looking down at her with an amused expression.
Y/N: "If I do that, you won't get your food. Isn't this what you begged me for?"
Nayeon: pouting "I didn't beg. I asked nicely. There's a difference."
Y/N: smirking "Sure, bunny. Whatever you say."
She gave a playful huff but didn't let go. Instead, she tightened her hold and buried her face in your back.
Nayeon: muffled "You smell good. Like spices and... you."
You chuckled, shaking your head as you reached for a pan.
Y/N: "Is that a compliment or your way of distracting me again?"
Nayeon: grinning "Both."
As you began sautéing the vegetables, Nayeon moved to your side, her fingers lightly trailing along your arm.
Nayeon: curiously "What's next? Do I get to help?"
Y/N: raising an eyebrow "Help, huh? Last time you tried to 'help,' you almost burned the kitchen down."
Her eyes widened in mock indignation, and she lightly smacked your shoulder.
Nayeon: "That was one time! And it wasn't even my fault. The stove was being weird."
You laughed, shaking your head.
Y/N: "Okay, okay. If you want to help, you can stir this."
Handing her the spatula, you watched as she eagerly took over, her movements a bit clumsy but filled with enthusiasm.
Nayeon: grinning "Look at me! I'm a pro chef now."
Y/N: "Sure you are. Just don't let it stick to the pan."
Nayeon: mock serious "Yes, chef!"
As she stirred, you leaned over to adjust the heat, and she took the opportunity to turn her head and kiss your cheek.
Y/N: surprised "What was that for?"
Nayeon: shrugging innocently "For being cute."
Y/N: teasingly "If I'm cute, what does that make you?"
She smirked, her confidence shining through.
Nayeon: "Irresistible, obviously."
You laughed, shaking your head at her boldness.
Y/N: "Can't argue with that."
Her laughter filled the kitchen, blending with the sound of the rain as she continued stirring.
After a few minutes, you took over again, and Nayeon decided to occupy herself by leaning against your side, her head resting on your shoulder as you worked.
Nayeon: softly "Did you take bachelors in this? Cooking, taking care of me... just being you."
You glanced down at her, touched by her words.
Y/N: "And you're really good at making me feel like the luckiest guy alive."
Her cheeks turned pink, and she hid her face against your shoulder.
Nayeon: "Stop being so sweet. You're going to make me cry."
You chuckled, placing a hand over hers where it rested on your arm.
Y/N: "It's only fair. You do the same to me."
As the dish neared completion, Nayeon's playful side resurfaced. She stood in front of you, blocking your path as you tried to reach for the plates.
Y/N: "Nayeon, move. I need to plate this."
Nayeon: grinning mischievously "Not until you give me another kiss."
You sighed dramatically, though the smile tugging at your lips betrayed you.
Y/N: "You're impossible, you know that?"
Nayeon: smirking "And you love it."
You leaned down, pressing a quick kiss to her lips.
Y/N: "Happy now?"
Nayeon: pretending to think "Hmm... maybe one more."
You rolled your eyes but obliged, pulling her in for a deeper kiss that left you both breathless.
Nayeon: softly "Okay, now I'm happy."
Finally, you managed to plate the food, and the two of you sat down to enjoy the meal. But even as you ate, Nayeon couldn't resist scooting closer, her hand resting on your knee as she leaned against you.
Nayeon: murmuring "This is perfect. The food, the rain, you... everything."
You looked at her, your heart swelling with affection.
Y/N: "I couldn't agree more."
And as the rain continued to fall outside, you couldn't help but feel like this moment-cooking, laughing, and sharing quiet kisses with Nayeon-was exactly where you were meant to be.
The rain continued to tap against the windows, a gentle lullaby that filled the room with serenity. You leaned back against the couch, the faint glow of the kitchen light illuminating the space as Nayeon nestled herself into your side.
Her legs were draped over yours, her head resting comfortably against your chest. The faint smell of her shampoo mixed with the lingering aroma of the meal you'd just shared, and everything about this moment felt perfect.
Nayeon: softly, almost shyly "Thank you for being good at this, you know."
You tilted your head to look at her, your fingers absentmindedly running through her silky hair.
Y/N: "Good at what?"
Nayeon: glancing up at you "At making me feel... special. Loved."
Her words were barely above a whisper, but they hit you like a wave. You could see the vulnerability in her eyes, the raw emotion she rarely let anyone see.
You tightened your arms around her, pulling her closer as your lips pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
Y/N: "You don't have to thank me for that, Nayeon. You deserve all of it and more."
Her cheeks flushed a delicate pink, and she let out a soft laugh, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on your chest.
Nayeon: teasingly "You're going to make me cry if you keep being this sweet."
Y/N: grinning "Good. That way, I can tease you back for once."
She lightly smacked your shoulder, but her laughter quickly faded into a content sigh as she relaxed against you.
The room grew quieter, the rain becoming the only sound as you both fell into a comfortable silence. You let your hand wander, trailing softly down her back, feeling the warmth of her through the fabric of her sweater. Nayeon shifted slightly, her eyes locking onto yours.
There was something different in her gaze now-a mix of playfulness and a deeper, unspoken emotion that made your heart race.
Nayeon: smiling coyly "You know, you're pretty irresistible when you're like this. All soft and sweet."
Y/N: raising an eyebrow "And you're not?"
She tilted her head, her lips curving into a sly smile.
Nayeon: "I mean... I know I am. But it's nice hearing you admit it."
You chuckled, shaking your head as she leaned in closer, her face mere inches from yours. Her breath was warm against your skin, her lips hovering tantalizingly close.
Y/N: softly "iam saying this again that You're impossible, you know that?"
Nayeon: whispering "And you love it."
Before you could respond, her lips brushed against yours, soft and deliberate. The kiss was slow, almost teasing, as if she wanted to savor every second. Your hand found its way to her cheek, holding her in place as you deepened the kiss, feeling the way she smiled against your lips.
When she finally pulled away, her cheeks were flushed, her eyes sparkling with a mix of affection and mischief.
Nayeon: playfully "See? I am irresistible."
You laughed, pulling her back into your arms as she rested her head on your shoulder.
Y/N: "You're also incredibly modest, aren't you?"
Nayeon: grinning "It's one of my many charms."
As the rain continued to pour outside, you felt her arms tighten around you, her warmth spreading through every inch of you.
Nayeon: softly "I don't think I've ever been this happy before."
You pressed another kiss to the top of her head, your voice low and sincere.
Y/N: "Me neither."
She tilted her head up to meet your gaze, her lips brushing against yours once more in a kiss that felt like both a promise and a confession.
When she pulled back, her voice was barely above a whisper.
Nayeon: "Stay like this with me. Forever."
Your hand cupped her cheek, your thumb brushing gently against her skin.
Y/N: "Forever, Nayeon."
As she snuggled back into your chest, the sound of the rain became the perfect backdrop to the warmth you shared. And in that moment, with her in your arms, you knew there was nowhere else you'd rather be.
Y/N: playfully "My Dumb Bunny.."
Nayeon look at me in a mock hurt expression before laughing.
Nayeon: "Yah-! Iam not dumb, pabo. Iam smart, cute and sexy"
You chuckle at her self assured word before snuggling close to her.
Nayeon: "That's more like it, boyfie"

It feels like your wrists are tied together, not being able to move, not at all.
The way she looks at you makes you shiver in fear, tears rolling down your cheeks.
"Please.." you beg her, in such a pathetic tone nobody would be able to make fun of you, instead they would feel bad for you.
Sana always described herself as being different than the others though.
If it is because of her fangs or just her behavior in general that makes her look like a monster, you don't know for sure.
-
You crush the empty beer can and drop it on the floor. Sana hands you a new one and you thank her with a brief nod.
You open it with a crack and take a sip, feeling the fizz and tasting the slightly bitter taste.
It's pretty quiet before you start talking.
"My family is causing stress again.
"Should I pretend to be surprised?" she asks with a light laugh, you laugh a little too.
"Is that why you have bruises and scars?" she adds, looking at the injuries on your face and neck.
Sana - the only person who knows your secret, that you were born into a family of vampire hunters.
"One of the strongest vampire families is said to be here in town," you answer.
Sana - the only daughter of the most famous vampire family.
She knows all your secrets - you know none of hers.
She nods, as if she understands what you are going through.
She lifts her hand and gently strokes the scar on your cheek.
You blush slightly at the close proximity of the two of you.
Just a little more pressure and it would start to bleed, Sana thinks to herself.
She pulls her hand away before she thinks any more about it, before her feelings take over.
Her feelings have always been stronger than her.
Her feelings control her, it has always been like this.
-
"I love you" the words glide easily over her tongue, a smile on her lips.
Even if it's just a whisper - it's a dream for you, as if nothing could happen, nothing could stop you.
Like teenagers in love (that's what you are, teenagers).
"Really?" you ask, in some way you're sure she means it, but you just want to hear it again.
She nods, "I love you so much" she repeats with the same smile.
You take her hand in yours, your thumb gently stroking the back of her hand.
She looks down at your hands, then up at you.
You look into her eyes and move closer.
A kiss.
Gentle, slow, romantic, simply full of emotion.
Full of love.
When your lips part, you both giggle a little, but then you continue kissing.
Further, further, and further.
When your lips (finally) part again, you are both completely out of breath. Your cheeks are slightly flushed.
You both sink into the mattress as you push Sana into her on her back.
She continues to giggle, almost unable to stop, just like you.
You lean over her and kiss her neck. The contact of your lips on her cold neck makes the hair on her arms and neck stand up, her fingers digging into the sheets as you suck on her pulse point.
"Honestly, I have no idea what exactly to do," you confess as you sit on top of her, your hand toys with the hem of her oversized shirt (or rather, your oversized shirt).
"Me neither" she replies with a laugh.
You smile like an idiot as she says this. "Now come here" she says and pulls you down to kiss you again.
You mumble a "may I?" against her lips and tug lightly on her shirt, she responds with a nod and lifts her arms over her head as you pull the shirt over her head and drop it on the floor next to you.
You kiss her soft, smooth skin and take off her sports bra. Your hands slowly massage her breasts, Sana moans slightly and her body presses against yours to feel you and your hands even more and even better.
You slowly kiss further down, over her ribs, her thin stomach with a slightly trained six-pack - down to the waistband of her shorts.
You look up to her and make eye contact.
"Please" she says under her breath, you nod in response, knowing what she wants from you.
You pull them off her, as well as her underwear (that already has a damp spot on it).
You stare at her pretty pussy, you can't help but giggle a little at the view infront of you.
You come closer, inhaling her sweet scent before diving in.
Sana twitches a little at your sudden action, her hands flying to your head in just a second and gripping your hair, leaving a delicious burn.
Your tongue licks her clit, drawing eights on it.
You hope that you're doing a good job, desperately trying to remember how the women in porn do it - how they pleasure the other and making her moan like crazy.
You stop overthinking when Sana lets out a louder moan though.
Your tongue finds her hole, entering and exiting her a little.
"Please...
need your fingers" she moans out.
You smile a little as you part your mouth from her core, now rubbing circles on it with your two fingers.
You kiss her again, your pointer finger dipping into her wetness, making her moan out loud, not being able to kiss you back normally.
Her hands grip the bedsheets, a few veins peeking out from her hand.
You stop kissing her, going down to her neck and leaving wet kisses on it, kissing over the few marks you've left and adding even more to it.
Your second finger enters her, making her let out a high pitched whimper.
Her hips meet your pace and start grinding on your fingers, searching desperately for the pleasure she needs.
"I'm so close... please-" she whimpers, you smirk against her skin and take one of her erected buds into your mouth.
A few thrusts, your thumb on her clit, and your tongue on her nipple send her over the edge as she comes with a loud whine.
You slowly pull your wet fingers out of her, licking them clean as you watch her breathe heavily.
"That was so... wow-" she breathes out.
"You're cute"
-
Love is not forever.
After you met Sana, you actually wanted to think that it was something for eternity.
It would never die out, you would never think of anything but love.
Love, love, love.
Maybe it is really made to last forever - only that after a while you'll love in a different way.
Desperate love.
Loving sadness.
Loving even though you don't really want to.
This love consumes you, makes you think of nothing else but that.
Every situation can remind you of love.
Your brother's death also reminds you of it.
His body lies in a field, in complete darkness.
His eyes open, his gaze full of emptiness.
"What... what happened?" you ask, a slight tremor in your voice.
Your father exhales before answering you.
But instead of telling you like a normal person, he kneels down next to your brother's head and turns his head to the side.
A scar on his neck.
Two holes.
Blood residue next to it, completely dried.
Your mother and sister hug each other, tears running down their cheeks.
"Was it the new vampire family?" you ask.
Stupid question.
"Y/n..
It was Sana," he replies.
What?
"Sana?"
He nods.
You laugh a little, full of frustration.
"It's not funny-... she would never-"
"You can never trust vampires." he says with a stern tone.
He's serious.
Sana, your best friend, your girlfriend for several months.
She killed your brother.
You look at your brother, then at your family.
Your legs move faster than you can think.
You run away, run in a direction you know only too well.
Sana's house.
You take the back entrance to her garden (which you already know well enough) and come across her sitting in a chair.
She looks at you in shock as you look at her.
"Y/n- what are you doing here?" she asks and stands up.
"Is it true?" you ask back, your voice a mixture of fear and anger.
She doesn't say anything at first, but then realizes that you mean exactly what she's been trying to forget since last night.
She nods slowly.
She doesn't deny it, she doesn't try to explain herself.
Whether it's even possible to explain yourself.
Your hand grips the handle of your pocketknife tightly, your hands trembling slightly.
"Y/n... I wanted to tell you... but my parents-"
"They forbid me to see you, but I went ahead anyway because I love you"
You listen to her, for some reason hoping she'll say something good - even though you know that nothing can make this situation any better.
"He was my first victim," she says after an awkward, tense silence.
Her first victim?
"They made me bite him... as punishment"
"I couldn't help it"
"You couldn't help it? What are you saying... Sana, I thought you loved me"
"Where is your common sense?" you ask her, your voice louder and full of despair.
You run towards her, your knife pointed at her as you try to hit her chest.
She dodges quickly, twisting your arm behind your back as you let out a small cry of pain and let the knife drop.
"Y/n..." she says with concern.
Her grip is as if she doesn't even want to do any of this, as if she's being forced by something.
"It's better if you leave," she adds.
She lets go of you (or rather, tosses you) as you fall on the ground, the wet grass soaking through your clothes as you feel the cold.
You look up at her, full of fear.
This is not the Sana you know.
It doesn't feel like you're looking at Sana Minatozaki.
At this moment, it feels like you're in front of an evil person.
Like in a nightmare.
You grab the knife on the floor next to you and stand up quickly, your eyes on her one last time before you run away.
She looks after you, sees your body getting smaller and smaller before you disappear behind a hill.
A tear runs down her cheek, and as she turns around she sees both her parents looking down at her through the second floor window.
Their expressions are cold and disappointed.
Just like always.
And you, you don't stop running.
You run on and on, without a destination, without any idea where you want to go.
Just away from here -
Away from Sana.
-
The music is loud as you walk into the club, your jeans are loose around your waist, your white t-shirt is slightly cropped so that your stomach can be seen a little.
You sit down at the bar and watch the other people dance.
The last time you were here was several years ago,
with Sana.
You were younger back then, still in school, no idea what you wanted to do in the future.
Now you're older, and you know what your goal in life is.
To kill Sana.
To get your revenge.
Your thoughts are interrupted by the bartender asking what you would like to drink, you order a beer and he gives you one and then moves on to other guests.
You drink a little and feel the fizz, tasting the slightly bitter taste of this variety.
The taste reminds you of the countless times you have drunk with Sana.
You look around a little before you see something that almost makes you drop the bottle on the floor.
Sana.
Sana pushing someone against the wall.
Short black hair, lots of tattoos -
She has no idea who exactly she's dealing with.
You leave your bottle at the bar and walk slowly towards them both.
Sana kisses her hard and aggressively, full of energy.
And you can guess why she has so much energy.
Before you can get any closer, Sana turns her head in your direction while turning the woman's head to the side so that she has perfect access to her neck.
Sana grins at you.
And suddenly her lips are stained dark red with blood.
She flashes her fangs at you, completely covered in blood as she slowly licks them clean.
And suddenly she's just gone.
In a millisecond she has bitten her victim, and in a millisecond she is gone without leaving a trace.
Your victim falls to the ground as you run to her to help her somehow.
But it's too late.
You look at her neck and see the same scar you saw on your brother.
While the crowd tries to take care of her, you disappear from the club.
A sigh leaves your lips.
-
"I'll help you," she says, her thumb stroking the back of your hand as she smiles at you.
You have an uncomfortable feeling in your stomach, you feel sick and you're not sure if you should do this at all.
Or if you want to involve Jihyo at all.
She's 10 years older than you - an old acquaintance from your family and a vampire hunter just like you.
She was also your first love.
Actually, it was just a little crush, maybe you mistook it for a close friendship, you were quite young.
The plan of the two of you was pretty simple - go to Sana's house and capture her if possible (you don't want to think about the possibility of killing her).
If your information is correct, her parents are no longer alive.
Rumor has it that she killed them herself.
To be honest, you wouldn't be surprised if it were true.
Jihyo and you make your way to her house, equipped with various weapons.
It is dark, 10 o'clock in the evening. The night is still and quiet.
If only you knew it would change quickly.
You enter the house through the garden, Jihyo has always been good at picking locks.
Your pistol in your hand, you look around carefully as Jihyo walks ahead of you.
She turns right, you look behind you for something, but then you hear something fall.
You turn around quickly and see that "something" is Jihyo.
All you can see is her legs sticking out from behind the wall. You run to her, kneel down on the floor next to her, but the moment you look up-
Sana hits you and you fall over.
-
"Where am I?" you mumble, your head aching as you open your eyes.
You see Jihyo lying on the ground, just a few meters away.
You run to her, or rather, you try to.
Something sharp cuts into your skin and you bite your lip.
You look down at your arms and see that you've been tied to the wall with barbed wire.
"Fuck-" you breathe out, trying not to feel the pain.
You only have your bra on, Sana has undressed you a little, probably so that you only feel more pain.
You try to move as little as possible and look anxiously at Jihyo, who, thankfully, is slowly waking up.
"Jihyo!" you say, she looks at you, then looks around.
This makes you look around.
You realize you're both in a rather large basement.
Jihyo is fully dressed, but her hands are tied behind her back.
Before you can warn her about the corpses you've noticed, the cellar door opens and Sana comes down.
"You're awake, how nice," she says with a smile.
"And Y/n? How do you like the barbed wire?" she asks.
"Fuck you" you just reply, Sana laughs but doesn't really pay attention to you, not like she has her eyes on Jihyo.
And part of you has an inkling of what's about to happen.
Sana sits down on a rather large chair, and with a small wave of her hand, Jihyo lands on her lap, her back against Sana's chest, her eyes locked on yours.
"I really haven't had such a pretty girl on my lap in a long time," Sana says, her hand slowly stroking Jihyo's arm.
You take a deep breath and try to calm yourself down somehow. The situation you, or rather Jihyo, are in can quickly become life-threatening.
"What do you want?" you ask, looking at her and she starts laughing again.
"Blood," she replies. Short, concise, without any emotion. The smile she had on her lips a few seconds ago has disappeared.
She is serious.
Jihyo is still looking at you, her eyes full of fear.
But her look of fear changes. And you don't know what to think except "what exactly is happening here."
Sana whispers something in her ear, and the fear in her eyes disappears.
Sana's hand moves on her body, and then she stops right on Jihyo's core.
Before you can do anything else, you realise what is happening.
And how it's to late to save Jihyo.
You feel like your eyes are fixiated on Sana and how Jihyo sits so obediently on her lap. You're not able to shift your gaze. It's like there is only them - and you're watching them like a movie. Like a perfomance that was made just for you - and you can't stop looking.
This was made for you, and the way Sana forces you to watch them.
Her hand goes past Jihyo's underwear, and suddenly Jihyo is moaning so softly for her. The look on her face just full of arousal.
She has been manipulated.
Something you learned early on - when training to be a vampire hunter.
There's nothing you can do, when you've been trapped under a vampire's spell. Except for one thing -
hope that you won't die.
In Jihyo's case right now, you're not sure what is going to happen in the end.
So you continue watching them, you watch Sana kissing Jihyo's neck, the intoxicating smell of her blood is problably already driving her crazy.
She continues fingering her, her movements speeding up.
She has no intention of giving pleasure to Jihyo - she just waits for the right moment to bite into her neck.
When Jihyo is moaning louder though, and her body twitches closer to Sana, she knows it's happening.
You know too.
"Jihyo!" you yell out, in hopes you're able to somehow get her out of this trance.
It was already to late.
Sana bites into her neck, begins to suck and moan at the fresh taste.
Jihyo screams for help, and you can do nothing but watch as a tear flows down your cheek.
Her lifeless body drops to the ground as soon as Sana is done with her.
She licks her fangs with a smile, smirking at you like she did the night you first saw her again.
She comes closer, taking your jaw into her hand.
"You can't replace me that easily." she whispers seductively.
What?
"What do you mean?" you ask, but she just shakes her head.
"I'll see you soon" she replies, and your eyes fall shut.
-
When you wake up again, you are lying in your bathtub.
You try to move, but notice the pain in your arms from the barbed wire.
You lean your head back and take a deep breath.
To summarize, you watched Sana finger Jihyo and then bite and kill her. Afterwards she tells you that you can't replace her, and now you're here.
Sana knows where you live.
Jihyo is dead.
To say you're overwhelmed is an understatement.
But you know exactly what you have to do, whether it's for you or for Jihyo.
Find Sana.
As you slowly step out of the bathtub, a thought occurs to you.
The evening gala of big companies. If anyone is going to be there, it's Sana.
-
You take another look at yourself in the mirror.
Your black suit fits a little loosely, but hides your scars well.
You get into your car and drive to her house.
How convenient that everything happens in her house.
When you get there, you look around.
There are already a lot of people there and as you walk in, you see various bosses probably talking about certain deals and wanting to do business.
A waiter comes up to you and offers you a glass of red wine, which you gratefully accept.
The taste is bitter, dry, but somehow it reminds you of blood.
How ironic, you think to yourself.
You walk around, having conversations here and there.
"I thought this event was for people with companies," someone says, and as you turn around, you see her.
It's Sana.
Her grin is like a shiver running down your spine.
"I'm not here to conduct business," you reply, drinking the rest of your wine.
Your lips are slightly red and you smile at her.
Your grip on the glass tightens, and before Sana can do anything, it shatters in your hand.
A waiter quickly comes to help you and removes the shards from the floor, you thank her but say you can take care of it yourself.
Drip, drip, drip.
The blood dripping from your hand drives Sana crazy.
"Oops," you say, but before you can turn around and walk away, she grabs your wrist and pulls you along.
Only now do you notice that she has a tattoo.
A pretty big one.
Your eyes are focused on her back, and the kind of detail the tattoo has.
It's as if it reflects her nature.
One side is sunny. You could even describe it as quite cheerful. If you just look at that side, you're just impressed with the work that's been done. You can see the colors and how they flow together. Everything fits well together.
The other side, however, is the complete opposite.
It's dark, makes you nervous. You get an unpleasant feeling when you look at it. The main colors are black and red. It's like a horrible painting, something you would see in a museum and think to yourself "what was the artist thinking?". The longer you look at it, the more scared you get.
But you can't think about her tattoo for long as you are pushed onto a bed.
Sana sits on top of you and the memories of your first time come flooding back.
The only difference is that Sana was tender and sweet, not cruel like now.
Your bleeding hand is still in hers, and maybe you could even see the water pooling in her mouth.
You know that you should be afraid, or that you should hit her, she killed Jihyo, your brother, and she almost killed you.
But in this moment you feel nothing but the will to feel her everywhere.
And she didn't even manipulate or influence you in any way.
You look at her, and then -
you press your hand more towards her.
And she understands what you want from her.
The smirk on her face appears again and pulls you closer.
She closes her eyes and starts to lick the blood of your hand.
For her, this is the best meal she could ever have. To be able to taste your blood was always a dream of hers.
And so she continues doing that, moaning a little when her tongue touches the red liquid coming from your veins.
She does it like she was starving for her life. Like she lived her life for exactly this moment.
She parts from your hand, leaning her head back slowly as if she would be on a high.
When she looks at you again, her pupils are dilated and the look on her face is full of arousal.
You can't blame her, yours is too.
She fumbles with the buttons of your jacket, you push her hands away and do it yourself, just to end up almost ripping it off your body and throwing it on the floor.
She looks at your arms, the way there are marks everywhere because of her.
"Fuck" she curses under her breath, pulling down the zipper of your pants and pulling (or rather - ripping them) off your body.
A groan escapes your mouth when she touches you, squeezes parts of your body that got your mouth hanging open.
A low "need you" leaves your mouth as Sana starts kissing you everywhere, leaving marks all over your body (surprisingly she's not biting you).
She comes closer to your core, and your need to feel her tongue on you is growing stronger and stronger. Your mind is clouded with the thought of her, it feels like you tried to hate her the whole time while you just need her to fuck you.
At this point, you don't even know if you're still in control of your body or if it's Sana.
No matter what, you don't care.
And when continues eating you out, all messy and again, like she was starving, you grip her hair and push her even closer.
Your thighs just pull her closer, trying to feel her even deeper.
The moans that leave your mouth can problably be heard from outside, but you or Sana both couldn't care less.
The way she licks up ever drop of your juices in hunger, her nails digging into your thighs, scratching you and leaving little marks, droplets of blood escape your veins.
You cum into her mouth with a loud moan, your head leaning back and your eyes roll back.
Sana always thought you were beautiful, but right now, in this moment - you definetly are the prettiest.
She doesn't give you any time to calm down as she rises and shoves two of her fingers inside of you, making you grip the bedsheets in surprise.
Your moans loud and messy, your skin covered in sweat, the blood on your thighs that's oozing out of the cuts drives Sana even crazier.
She continues pumping her fingers inside of you, and she leans forward, dragging her tongue over the cuts.
A moan escapes her mouth, and then, she leans closer to you and kisses you, with her lips stained with the dark red liquid.
You kiss her back, but your mouth hangs open when she adds another finger, filling you up.
You two don't even need to talk, the only way you two communicate is through her messy and needy touches - and your desperate moans.
All desperate - for her.
She never stops moving her fingers.
In, out. In, out.
Here faster, there slower.
You already lost every sense of time, like you're lost in the moment.
Your body twitches in sensitivity. Like it's fragile and Sana is overusing it.
You clearly are overstimulated, but Sana just can't stop herself.
Looking at her, seeing how her eyes are fixiated on your naked body, you ask yourself if she is even in control of her own body - or if something, someone else took control.
She doesn't leave you enough time to overthink, when your eyes are met with a black silk cloth.
The last thing you saw.
-
You stare at her grave and only now do you realize how stupid you are.
The stone you sit on is cold. Your eyes focus only on her name.
'Park Jihyo'
A sigh leaves your lips.
Are you disappointing her? Is she looking at you and thinking, "What the hell are you doing?"
Does she think you should be ashamed?
For having sex with Sana,
But even worse -
That you somehow still love Sana.
She killed your brother, she killed Jihyo - so many innocent people.
And despite everything, you can't seem to get rid of your feelings for her.
Your thoughts are always about her, your dreams are all about Sana.
You don't know which feeling is stronger - the hatred for her, for all the things she has done.
Or the love - the memories you can't let go.
Her soft lips on yours, the way her arms held you while you cried.
It makes you break down completly.
All those years you were away, it was all about Sana.
You wanted to get stronger, to beat her, to kill her.
But now it seems that you just want to be with her.
-
The night is dark and cold, everything reminds you of the night you found your brother dead.
The same place, the same time, the same loneliness you felt in your heart.
Instead of running to Sana to confront her, she came to you.
Instead of a calm conversation, you have a knife in your hand.
Her gaze is cold, you're not sure if you can read any emotion in her face.
Empty.
That would be the word you would use to describe her right now.
"What do you want?" she calls into the night, as if she doesn't know where you are.
As if you were looking for her, she speaks as if she had no plans.
"You came here," you answer, trying not to show any of your feelings.
"You confuse me," you say.
She looks at you questioningly.
"I confuse you?" she repeats.
You nod.
"Why are you doing all this?" you ask, but when she tries to answer, you keep talking.
"You come with me... you listen to me when I talk about how the pressure from my parents is getting too much... you don't tell me that you're a vampire." You take a breath and feel the tears in your eyes. You feel this uncomfortable feeling like you're going to throw up. You feel dizzy.
You are overwhelmed.
"You kill my brother," you begin to say, "You kill him, your first victim, because your parents want to punish you?" you laugh a little. Saying it sounds so unbelievable. So grotesque.
"Then, when I come back here after years, I meet you in a bar and you kill someone."
"You kill Jihyo and make me watch."
"And then?-
You have sex with me as if you would love me."
Tears are streaming down your cheeks, you can't stop laughing because this is all so frustrating to you.
You open your mouth to say something else, but then you are pushed to your knees.
Without Sana even touching you.
It feels like your wrists are tied together, not being able to move, not at all.
The way she looks at you makes you shiver in fear, tears rolling down your cheeks.
Are you doing too much or are you genueinly scared of her?
"Please.." you beg her, in such a pathetic tone nobody would be able to make fun of you, instead they would feel bad for you.
Sana always described herself as being different than the others though.
If it is because of her fangs or just her behavior in general that makes her look like a monster, you don't know for sure.
"Can you just stop talking?" she asks you.
Her expression looks different than how it looked like earlier, instead of the emptiness in her face, it looks like she's letting her emotions take over.
You don't know if this should make you even more scared.
But a part of you, a little part,
thinks, or rather, hopes, that she will behave like a decent human.
That she will behave like the girl you loved.
Or still love.
"I did it all for love." she answers.
Quick, short, but instead of that cold tone in her voice, she sounds...
sad?
You look up to her, unable to speak.
"I love you"
She loves you?
Sana?
Loves you?
"I'll never stop feeling the guilt for what I did to your brother"
"But i can't lie to you and say that i regret doing what I did to Jihyo"
"Because all I ever wanted-
was you"
She breaths out, like she just confessed the worst thing in the world.
"I always looked for you, when you left town"
"I searched for you, because I wanted to be with you"
"Despite you hating me"
She lets out a sigh.
"I did what I had to do for you to notice me" she stops talking.
She gets down on her knee, right infront of you to match your height.
Her thumb caresses your cheek, before moving your face to the side to expose your neck to her.
The strong of smell of your blood hits her nose like chemicals.
The intense smell that drives her crazy.
You shiver in fear, not knowing what is going to happen.
She stares at your neck, and the way your veins are so visible, like they're calling for her.
Everything she ever dreamed of, was to taste your blood.
But she doesn't want to bite you because of that.
She opens her mouth, flashing her fangs.
You try to somehow escape her spell, so that you can save yourself, but it isn't possible.
She sinks her fangs deep into your skin, you let out a scream when you feel her sucking your blood out of you.
You're finally able to move and try to grab her arm to somehow get her to stop.
"I don't want to die" you whisper, your voice full of weakness.
Until you realise -
Sana isn't planning on killing you.
But to make you a vampire.

momo and okarun are absolutely obsessed with you and each other! they have so much love to give and it never steps, no matter for how long you date them!
okarun might seem like he'd be a bit too shy to really show his feelings for you, but far from it! sure, he'll hesitate a little at first, but that doesn't last long! he's all over you in no time!
especially with momo around! momo is the most affectionate one out of the throuple, but she keeps pushing okarun and you to be more affectionate as well, causing the three of you to constantly cling together!
and while your friends might roll their eyes at how damn adorable you three are, teasing you about it constantly, they are very supportive of you!
however, there are people out there who aren't as supportive of your relationship or who would dare flirt with one of you, despite how serious your relationship is! and everytime that happens, momo and okarun switch into protective partner mode!
momo and okarun aren't really the jealous type, as whenever someone flirts with you, they turn protective instead! and with their powers, their protective mode is quite scary…
okarun can usually control his powers, but there's this glint in his eyes when he glares at someone who flirts with you, showing that he's more than just human…
and for momo, she might just yell at someone who inappropriately flirts with you, causing okarun to hold her back (all while glaring at that person)
they are the sweetest people you know and even though they have this side, they would NEVER EVER behave this way towards you! they just can't stand seeing people treat you wrongly, that's all…
