Ja ha passat un mes des de que vaig decidir no sense empenta propinada per amics i familiars i amb cert desig d’aventura, traslladar-me a Nottingham(UK) a VIURE, en tot el sentit ampli de la paraula.

Amb tant poc temps segurament pensareu que puc extreure poques conclusions definitives de la meva experiència, tot i això, si puc entreveure certes sensacions que puc testimoniar que potser poden ser interessants per algú, si més no, és converteix en un exercici alliberador poder-les explicar.

Sortir de la zona de confort està lluny de ser un camí de roses.

Com diria el gran Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) a Pulp Fiction

És un pas dur i si es fa sense mitjans ni suport pot ser traumàtic.

No és el meu cas, entre familiars i amics em vaig sentir molt emparat i estimat en tot moment i em sento molt agraït per això.

T’ajuda molt en els moments d’enyorança, impotència i desànim, fins que no aconsegueixes establir-te i tirar endavant.

En els primers passos he estat immers en buscar feina, trobar pis, resoldre qüestions burocràtiques, manegar tràmits bancaris i demés gestions on els malentesos i falta de comprensió són freqüents i tot això genera nervis, frustració i enormes pèrdues de temps.

Normalment compartim les experiències més positives i ocioses però no podem oblidar els problemes, mals moments i reptes que ens trobem pel camí. He après que aquests són els que enriqueixen i et fan madurar.

He après a obrir-me a situacions noves i diferents, a conèixer noves persones procedents de qualsevol part del món i que tenen criteris, costums i altres formes de pensar.

He après a espavilar-me en ambients nous i desconeguts i això t’acaba generant molta confiança.

He après a apreciar cada vegada més el sol, el bon temps i l’aire lliure i ho acabes gaudint més que en la teva assolellada terra.

He après que quan un està sol i lluny de tot lo conegut és quan es coneix millor perquè ja no regeixen els perjudicis de la nostra societat o el nostre entorn i fas el que realment vols, sense pensar en el que diran o pensaran.

He après que perquè aquesta experiència sigui única i inoblidable és fonamental l’actitud amb la que l’encaris.

He après que si vas amb la ment oberta, optimisme, alegria, tenacitat, coratge i amb ganes d’absorbir i aprendre d’altres cultures, l’adaptació serà molt més fàcil i resolutiva.

Per acabar, he après a esperar pacientment perfeccionar l’idioma més ràpidament que si ho fes en el meu propi país ja que és molt frustrant no poder-te comunicar o establir una conversa de manera fluida. 😅

Tot això em genera una bona expectativa de lo que encara estar per venir i descobrir.
