November fluff prompt: nursed back to health

"Commander, I must protest."

"Protest duly noted, Lieutenant. Get on the couch."

Spock stared her down. His green rimmed eyes and the blanket draped over his shoulders negated the effects somewhat, not that he would have had any effect on her otherwise.

Una met his gaze head on, unimpressed. Chris puttered around the kitchen, avoiding the stand off.

"I am capable of fulfilling my duties. It is inefficient to deny this.”

“Hot broth coming right up.” Chris swept in, apron around his waist and a bowl of soup in his hands. Una took a deep breath of the warm, comforting scent. “Sit down, Spock.”

“Captain-”

“Careful, it’s hot.” In a simple, practiced maneuver, Chris swept Spock back onto the couch as he handed him the bowl.

“Consume,” Una ordered. She and Chris hovered over Spock, and he stared up at them for a few more seconds before he finally let out a small sigh. He took a sip of the soup.

Chris nudged Una and gave her a small, victorious smile.

The tantrums - Una's very no nonsense, but La'an is very stubborn, Chris often has to be the mediator.

The cuddles - nobody expected La'an to be a cuddly kid but she will not get out of Una's arms (or Chris' if Una isn't around)

Anon what do you mean all the members were "ushered out" except for Jimin? When we first see in the room, Jimin's already in there and other members start filing in after. Taehyung is visible for a moment looking at Jungkook then not there anymore, I'm not going to speculate on where he went because I don't actually care. Someone, I think Namjoon or maybe Jhope, asks "Jungkook do you want us to leave?" And then after a few beats I think it's Jhope who says "yeah let's go." Then Namjoon Jhope and Jin turn and leave. No staff ushered them out or made them leave, they decided on their own to leave to give Jungkook and the staff some space. They did look at the camera before turning to leave but that's most likely because they were thinking the camera person should be giving Jungkook privacy too. No one made them leave and let Jimin stay, they just left and Jimin stayed. That's it.

And if you want to talk about Jimin's significance maybe it lies in his own words about how he always takes care of Jungkook in a sense it feels like being his dad 🤷

Empfang: Stadtschützenpaar zu Gast im Rathaus Duisburg

Oberbürgermeister Sören Link empfing am Dienstagnachmittag, 21. März, feierlich im Meractorzimmer des Rathauses das amtierende erste Stadtschützenkönigspaar, Dieter Horstkamp und Elke Momber, sowie die Stadt-Kronprinzessin Anika Helmke, den Stadt-Schülerprinz Felix Kanzen und den Stadt-Tellprinz Luis Bossemeyer. Er dankte den Majestäten für ihr Engagement in der Brauchtumspflege. Alle Beteiligten engagieren sich ehrenamtlich für den Erhalt des Schützenwesens. Dass dieses Ehrenamt als Stadtschützenkönigspaar ganze vier Jahre anhalten würde, war zwar nicht geplant, macht aber die Wiederaufnahme des Stadtschützenfestes 2019 noch bedeutender. Nach langer Corona-bedingter Pause und etwas kleiner als 2019 soll am 22. April wieder mit vielen beteiligten Schützenvereinen das nun zweite Stadtschützenfest gefeiert werden. November fluff prompt 13: soft caretaker

Chris stared at Una and his frantic heart rate slowed as he took stock of the situation. Una was pacing and wringing her hands, voice climbing in pitch as she talked about doctors and hospitals. La'an rolled over on the couch with a small, congested moan, mouth gaping.

"Una, slow down." Chris dropped his bag by the door and sat down next to La'an, smoothing her hair off her sweaty forehead. She was warm and a little flushed, but not dangerously so. "What happened?"

"She has a temperature, Chris!" Una bunched her fingers in her hair, and from the snarls Chris guessed she had been doing that all day. "Kids are supposed to be resilient, right? If she's sick enough to have a fever-"

"What's the fever?" Una blinked.

"What?" Chris took a deep breath and let frustration ebb away. Una was clearly out of her mind with worry, and he chose to focus on that rather than his own mad dash from work when she had called to tell him their daughter was dying and he needed to come back right now.

"What was her temperature when you took it?" he asked. He continued to stroke La'an's hair and she relaxed under his touch, frowning in her sleep.

"37.8."

Chris stared up at her. She met his gaze head on, and he realized she was serious.

"Una, that's fine. 37.8 is fine. Her body is just burning off the germs. She just needs some rest."

"But she's-" Una swallowed. She bundled La'an off the couch and cradled her in her lap, clutching her to her chest. La'an squirmed and wriggled into place. She popped her thumb into her mouth, and for once neither Chris nor Una told her not to. "She's so warm. And uncomfortable." She rocked back and forth on the couch, pressing her cheek down on La'an's head. La'an opened bleary eyes and looked up at Una, bewildered.

Chris scooted closer on the couch and slowly wrapped an arm around Una's shoulders to stop the rocking. Una took a shuddering breath and leaned into his touch.

"Kids get sick." Chris laid his hand on La'an's back. "It happens. She'll be okay." He kissed Una's temple. She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath.

"I just feel-" Una swallowed.

"Helpless?" Una hesitated and gave him a sidelong glance. He raised his eyebrows, and she deflated. She nodded. "It's okay, we're new at this. Better to be overcautious than not cautious enough, right?"

Una leaned her head on his shoulder, and Chris tucked her and La'an as close as possible.

"I'm sorry I scared you," Una murmured. Chris chuckled and kissed her head.

"I'm pretty sure that's about 75% of parenting. We're doing fine."

AT FIRST his parent’s didn’t care for him because they saw their son ?? cooking so much for the other that they figured that maybe he was bullying sakurai into doing it ! but then when he explained that no, he was doing it because he wanted to and no other reason, his parents believed him since sakurai doesn’t really lie to them about anything.  when they first meet him, ( both of his parents are short. his mom is 5′0″ and his dad is 5′10″. ) they were kind of in awe because this giant ass kid. his mom laughed and waved off something that aomine had said before giving him fresh baked goods :) and his dad took him into the room where he draws and then aomine was all ‘oh no wonder sakurai is good at these things it’s bc you are’ type of thought process maybe smh idk i don’t write him.  his mom ?? is scary though when she gets REALLY mad, and aomine witnessed it one day because she, in all her glory, was standing there and  telling off a man about twice her size  -- and then she just flipped to being sweet and nice as soon as she saw aomine. anyways, tldr ; his parents love aomine.
