The Molly Hooper Appreciation Week February 2025 Round Is A Go!

Sorry for posting it so close to the posting date! I've had a lot of stuff going on this month.

These are the prompts for the February 2025 round. You can combine these with Winter Prompt-A-Thon prompts if you still have some that are outstanding (remember, you have until February 15th to post those):

ANNOUNCEMENT for all the Whose Line Is It Anyway Fans!!

This year, I am coming out with an advent calendar of fanfics that I'm calling:

~ RyCol 25 Days of Christmas Prompts Challenge!! ~

I will be posting a new RyCol fanfic on AO3 every day for the first 25 days of December. All stories will be very fluffy, an exact half of them even smutty! All of them strictly no cheating, safely divorced or no girlfriends/wives universe.

The prompts I'm using are from @murswrites and all fics are beta read by the incredible @questinwitchface.

I am convinced this fandom is not dead, but I'm also scared this challenge won't reach the people that would appreciate it, and so I will be tagging some accounts below, ones I think could be interested?

Thank you for opening this discussion in the first place with your post :)

I agree with almost everything, except that I wouldn't say "Moffat wants Sherlock to be single" - I think it's just neither on his nor on Gatiss' agenda. For them this series is about friendship, siblings' relationship, family, detective story etc, and the romance stands far-far behind it all. Even the canon John/Mary isn't exactly a love story - it's just not what the show is about.

As for me - well, I am forever Mollcroft, because I think it would be more interesting than Sherlolly, and I love the dynamic between the three of them (Molly would be a better sister-in-law to Sherlock than a wife, but that's just my opinion). Between Sherlolly and Adlock I definitely choose the former. I think they had a great chance to create a wonderful Irene Adler, and they wasted it on vulgarity and 'hot stares'. Sad :(

As I understood, the original scene had nothing to do with Molly at all. So Molly never appeared in the original script of 'The Final Problem'.

(Here is my source. I don't remember when exactly they talked about it, but I hope I understood them correctly)

I'm honestly a bit worried about what they had originally planned for Molly that others disliked so much. With the tone of the episode in mind I can think of two things:

They solved the puzzle and realized that Molly was never in the coffin to begin with. Sherlock smashing the coffin could be a leftover from this.

She really was there and they solved the puzzle, but it didn't save her, because Eurus doesn't play fair.

It's kinda funny how John is so much more dangerous that Sherlock but everyone in ASIP is telling him to stay away cause one they will be standing around a body and Sherlock will be the one to put it there. Then at the end of the episode they all were standing around the cabbie's body and John was the one to put it there.

Sherlolly at 10 years!!!!  (WOOOHOOOO!!!!)

There arent words to describe what this fascinatingly amazing ship has meant to me for the last 10 years.  I’ve truly  never loved a ship more than I do Sherlolly and I never will!!  Theres such a sense of loyalty and devotedness between their characters that makes their emotional connection a transcendant and eternal entity.  Their relationship has gained a classical timelessness  in the true sense of romantic enduring love.   It hasnt flowered yet onscreen, but all the elements for its fruition are THERE.  

And I’ve met such DEAR DEAR DEAR people through this ship,  you’re all such amazingly talented individuals!!  You’re kind and loyal and generous much as Molly is herself.  

I ADORE being a Sherlollian and I ALWAYS ALWAYS WILL.  

So again  a Happy 10th to you all!!!!!!
