I'M FINALLY ON VACATION!!!

Off work until September 8!

We plan to go watch space jam and paw patrol with the kids Tuesday and go to Ottawa some time next week to visit the war museum after stopping by calypso waterpark ❤️

Gotta plan our son's 10th birthday (September 2nd) and spend one day at the camping site for my moms birthday and for activities!

We don't have much else..

But end of September, my husband and I are going on a short 3 days getaway. We usually have them twice a year but with covid we had none in 2 years.

We're going north, grabbing a train to visit another location and come back.

I will be thirsty af for that weekend. Peace with no kids, it promises to be a good time to catch up.

SO YEAH

IT'S 2:30 AM AND I CAN SLEEP IN TOMORROW ❤️ (at least until hubs gets home from work at 7:30 am)

We waited 1 hour for a table at a pub and we have a reservation somewhere else tonight at 8:30 tonight.

The city's downtown is a very old small village~

I feel so weird today..

Not depressed but like everything is difficult.

No patience, no will power or physical energy to do anything at all.

Every thing the husband tells me is stinging. He's just trying to push me to do something, and that's a good thing.

I try to sketch to feel better and keep my mind busy but the husband immediately asks me for something or makes me do something (it was fun playing a new boardgame with the kids, dont get me wrong) but I was just starting to continue to sketch at that precise moment.

His timing is always spot on agressive, and it's not his fault, I know he's not doing it on purpose to piss me off. But it does tick me off.

I just want to lay down and drift off to sleep for a loooooong while, at least until I'm back to feeling like the cheerful person that I am.

Wednesday morning...

SAPPY MOMENT TIME || REAL LIFE SHIT

My husband got home from work, fixed himself some food and helped getting the kids ready and entertained so I could get ready for work.

He's been putting so much work in holding off his impulsivity and managing his patience/tolerance over small insignificant details...

Some days he's having a hard time but right now he's doing great and I will constantly remind him he's doing amazing.

Under cut is all the praise of how much of a great partner he is.

He's not perfect. But I found my "Daichi". That husband material with enough character that he keeps me in check when I struggle or derail.

And I take him for granted too often...

PSA: this man is keeping his calm and staying sane while living with a wife and 2 kids with ADHD - me and the youngest also have anxiety (generalized for me) and the oldest kid is on the spectrum.

He's a beast ❤️

Before leaving work last night my co-worker was saying this

Her: so you get home and diner is ready before he leaves for his night shift?

Me: yup! He cooks and even does the grocery shopping so he knows what the meals will be.

Her: that's amazing! Then you can go ahead and wash the dishes and take care of laundry

Me:.... N-no, he even does all that. I just... Out away left overs and fill up the dishwasher... A-and he even does all the laundry. He just asks that I fold it and put it away

Her: oh my GOD

Me: and even then, I can leave it in the dryer for days before he insists I do my part... Or I leave in folded in a basket for a few days... Until another batch is ready....

I... Literally married the best husband

Her: keep a man like that, dont let him get away

Me: yeah... I'm doing my share with the mental load with the children. I still have to be careful. He's supporting my mental health so much but he deserves that I help him more even if he's okay with doing all that. I don't want him to get exhausted from me being like a 3rd child in the house.

Her: well, you've got yourself a good man. A wonderful one

Me: I'm lucky. Even if he's impulsive, hard headed, stubborn, has little patience with the kids and I sometimes have to walk on eggshells, I couldn't find someone as supportive as him about my issues.

DON'T ASK ME WHY WE WENT SO DEEP IN THAT CONVO RIGHT AT THE DOOR.

she's a single old woman about to retire in 2 years.

Topping this off with him always being 200% comfortable with me physically and I was the one making our intimacy an issue. He listens, he will read whatever I send him and educate himself, he's open about everything

Always saying "he just wants me to be happy and feel loved"

I don't know what I did at the sweet age of 15 to deserve meeting this man.

But I wouldn't want anyone else to be my husband and the father of my children.

JUST NOW

It's 8:15am, I'm about to take a shower before driving the kids to daycamp and go work in the city... While he's watching dragon quest anime NOT pushing me because... I'm already late for work!

And tonight he's watching LOKI on his own... So he's leaving me to game with whoever I want to ❤️

He's even gonna drive to the drug store to get mine and one of the boy's prescriptions so I won't have to detour on the way home tonight.

He'll cuddle me to sleep if I ask him to.

I'm literally at a loss of word at how much meeting @canyouevencauseicant / @anyasathenaeum were two of the best days of my life (YES DAYS because they came over again on Saturday night! ❤️)

Not only did my kids love her and her bf but my husband totally adopted them. He loved them so much ❤️ I've never seen him this happy about friends in a very very long time.

Safe to say we'll make it happen again, whether it be halfway or us visiting them.

It makes things so real now... "oh your online friend. No way she's that close to you after knowing her only a year"

Oh the fuck she IS VERY MUCH that important to me. More than my old irl friends ❤️

There's that something... our souls were just MEANT to meet each other, even as 11 years her senior, it doesn't feel like it and I am so happy her path crossed mine ❤️

All on a lucky streaming night, because we both love Mirio Togota and befriended his English Voice actor.

Bitch, you're stuck with my family now!

I wish her the best last day on her trip here, enjoy family and the beautiful weather we finally have ❤️

Safe drive back home tomorrow and I can't wait to game with you and your bf again ❤️
