Hi! This might be a weird question but I notice you share a lot of gifs from animes and such so I was hoping you could help me. Do you know any adult female characters with black hair who have a sort of punk biker ( think Chuuya in the Dead Apple flashback when he was 18, kinda edgy dark ) aesthetic? I’m looking for a faceclaim. I’m not having any luck.
hi anon! i honestly don't really know any.

Hullo. I'm not being rude but just wondering... why is it a huge problem if the likes and reblogs are uneven when you said that you create contents for yourselves???
Okay first off, here’s my problem with your ask: you took two different things I said and put them together when I said them separately for a reason. While you may not have seen it as a problem, it is because it changed what I had said before. On to the problem with the topics I brought up.
Also in my explanation, I want to clarify that when I say “you” I don’t mean you personally. I’m talking in the general sense and meaning you as in the fandom.
Here’s the context for both statements I made:
1. Creating content for ourselves: “When we non-white and/or LGBT+ fans create such edits, we are not doing it for the white and/or straight only community. WE ARE CREATING THIS CONTENT FOR OURSELVES.“
2. Likes vs. reblogs: “The other problem for content creators is the clear unevenness in the ratio of likes vs. reblogs. I.e. when a person makes an edit and gets 50 notes on their edit, the ratio looks something like “43 likes, 7 reblogs”. This is a huge problem for content creators not just in the Narnia fandom!! It’s happening in every fandom and the issue is some of these creators may depend on followers to get their content out past just circle the creator has.”
So on to what I meant with each statement:
1. The reason I said we create content for ourselves was in a statement about the issue of forcing diversity. When POC or LGBT+ fans of the series ask creators to create content (because they may not know their way around how to make edits and such) we are told to make our own stuff if the idea doesn’t line up with what the creator imagines. Which, fair enough, sometimes creators don’t want to change their interpretations for whatever reason. The problem is when those VERY SAME POC or LGBT+ fans DO create content for their own interpretations, we are immediately told that it’s “forcing diversity” even though that’s literally what we’ve been told to do. CREATE IT OUR FUCKING SELVES. That is what I meant for the creating it for ourselves part of my statement.
2. The likes vs. reblogs issue. Some of the creators that create content are artists or writers that depend on their followers to get word out about them and their work. Some of them depend on commissions and donations that they get because of the RECOGNITION they receive about their work. If that doesn’t make you see the issue, here’s a similar example to give you an idea of what I mean as to why likes vs. reblogs is an issue: if you see a movie/show or hear a song or read a book you like or even love, you recommend it to others because you want it to be appreciated. You want it to get the recognition it deserves. When you like an edit, you are not helping spread the word about the creator or the content. When you reblog an edit you are getting the word out for the creator and their content. You are showing others that follow you how amazing you think it is. Liking it just keeps it quiet, reblogging it spreads the love for it and allows others to love it too. The other issue with this is that when it is about the diverse content a fandom makes (especially a smaller one like Narnia) and you simply like it, you’re not supporting the diversity at all. You can call yourself an ally for POC and/or the LGBT+ community, scream it from goddamn rooftops as much as you want to, but you ARE NOT AN ALLY because you ARE NOT willing to support us when we need you to. We need you to speak up when these issues come up like they did with the confession. We need you to reblog our DIVERSE content if you call yourself an ally because otherwise you’re telling us ‘oh I like it/agree with it, but not enough for others to know’. It’s like you’re keeping us a dirty secret and THAT’S NOT FAIR to us in the slightest.

did something happen in the narnia fandom?
*long drawn out sigh* Oh boy anon, where have you been for the last month?
So much has happened that I don’t know where to start tbh. The Narnia fandom has become one of the most toxic fandoms I’ve ever had the experience of being in so far. Like the lack of support for diverse content is just so tiring.
Here’s what I know has happened so far:-I don’t know the whole issue but apparently some fans tried to argue that Lucian (Lucy & Caspian) was an okay ship?? You’d need to ask someone else about this because I didn’t know about this issue until after it was pretty much done.
-There was an issue with some members in the NarniaNetwork because they were supporting/trying to push their racist and anti LGBT+ views over others diverse views so, as a result, those members were removed. I won’t talk more on that issue because as the admin and creator of that network I made the decision to only inform Narnianetwork members if they wanted to know more.  It’s not for non-narnianetwork members to hear about because frankly it’s none of your business. I won’t mention any names even though I know some of the individuals have made posts themselves on the issue. I’m only saying this because I’m not going to lie and say Narnianetwork was perfect at that time.
-A couple days later there was a Narnia fan who sent the narniaconfession blog a confession saying “the Narnia fandom need to stop forcing diversity”. Do you have any idea how hard it would be for any non-white and/or LGBT+ narnia fan to hear how our interpretations and head canons are INVALID?? Because, let me tell you, I’m so tired of pandering and trying to keep the white-and/or-straight-only narnia fans happy. When we non-white and/or LGBT+ fans create such edits, we are not doing it for the white and/or straight only community. WE ARE CREATING THIS CONTENT FOR OURSELVES. Also with this confession, I know some people tried to argue that having people focus on LGBT+ head canons of the Pevensies and other characters was wrong because different sexualities/LGBT+ views like that had no place in a children’s series but at the same time those people that argued against having different sexualities in the series were still okay with shipping characters in a heterosexual relationship. The ship in question is Suspian (Susan & Caspian) and, despite me being a Suspian shipper, I still feel like it’s extremely wrong where people only acknowledge them as a possible ship and disregard other sexualities/relationships. Like seriously, do you understand how bad of an ideal that is to spread? That children aren’t able to be any different sexuality than straight. And the other harmful thing about this was that this ideal immediately tries to imply that every LGBT+ head canon is inherently sexual when that is a complete lie. There was just so much wrong to that confession that there was a huge uproar of anger from the diverse Narnia fans for a good reason.
-I know that another Narnia fan posted their OWN head canons and interpretations about the characters. And because they weren’t what the straight and/or white fans wanted, SOME ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING JERK decided to send that fan in question RACIAL SLURS in their ask box anonymously. Like what the fuck?? This person has to live with the knowledge, for the rest of their life, that they did this disgusting thing.
-I know that there’s Casmund (Caspian & Edmund) shipping discourse but I don’t really know what’s going on for that so you’d probably be better off asking someone else.
-And the latest issue that has risen up in the Narnia fandom is that the fandom don’t really appreciate the amount of time and effort creators put into their content. Instead these content creators get bashed on in the tags because the person who reblogs the content doesn’t like what they see, conveniently ignoring the whole “just ignore the post/block it if you don’t like it’ ideology in favour of saying how the creator of said content is clearly wrong and the reblog-ee is right. The other problem for content creators is the clear unevenness in the ratio of likes vs. reblogs. I.e. when a person makes an edit and gets 50 notes on their edit, the ratio looks something like “43 likes, 7 reblogs”. This is a huge problem for content creators not just in the Narnia fandom!! It’s happening in every fandom and the issue is some of these creators may depend on followers to get their content out past just circle the creator has.
-Also, I know another Narnia fan who was prominent because of their creations left the fandom as well because of the toxicity of the fandom.
To end this off I’m going to say this once: I have not and will not be revealing names even if you come off anon and ask me directly. I’ve been very firm on this stance even amongst the NarniaNetwork discourse when it was occurring and I will remain firm on this stance for other discussions that had nothing to do with the NarniaNetwork.
This got really long but that’s what I know has happened/is currently happening in the fandom. I obviously don’t know everything that’s occurred on those topics, like I’ve said, so in those cases where I don’t know what’s going on you should definitely ask someone else who does because I don’t want to be giving you the wrong information on those topics.
TLDR: the Narnia fandom is an extremely toxic fandom to be in currently specifically if you are a POC and/or a member of the LGBT+ community. This fandom has isolated and/or driven away a lot of POC and LGBT+ members because of the lack of support for their diverse interpretations of the series.

What is your favorite edit you’ve ever made?
Oh god that’s a tough one! I have too many tbh. You asked for one but I’m going to list my top 10 (5 Narnia edits and 5 other fandom edits) favourites in no particular order.
Top 5 Narnia:
1. Susan + So Cold song. It’s the first time I had posted such a lengthy Narnian fic. Not to mention I showed what I believe would happen to Susan and showed my feelings on Aslan.
2. Narnia + The Three Brothers from Harry Potter. I remember I had that idea for the longest time and was so surprised no one had thought of it before. It was actually a passing thought I had of Susan as the Third Brother that inspired the whole edit.
3. My Magnificent Court edit for@narnianetwork‘s first voyage. It took me forever to come up with some good stuff for Peter’s court for the origins page in that edit.
4. This request by @lasaraleen to use E.E. Cummings words. This was my first ever time making a gif and her idea was honestly so beautiful. I don’t know if a lot of people realized, or if I ever explained, but the gifset is suppose to be told from Susan’s point of view.
5.I have a three-way tie for my last fave edit between the Arthur Miller, Hamilton, and Humpty Dumpty edits regarding Susan (wow I do a lot of Susan edits don’t I?). The Arthur Miller one captures my interpretation of Susan & Aslan’s relationship perfectly. I’m probably one of the few that doesn’t really forgive Aslan for what he put Susan through (you’ll have to pry unforgiving!Susan from my dead hands tbh). The Hamilton one was the first time I worked with textures. The lyrics fit perfectly for how C.S. Lewis saw Susan’s journey too. And finally, the Humpty Dumpty  was the first time I started really experimenting with different brushes in photoshop.
Top 5 other fandoms:
1. This Alice Kingsley one from my old blog. That was one of my first edits I was really proud of so it holds a special spot.
2. The Merlin Gang + different song lyrics that I thought fit them. I still love the simplicity of it.
3. My favourite Sailor Scout edit for my “What’s in her closet?” series from my old blog @warriorqueen-s. I just love everything about the finished result and I feel like it captures Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter perfectly. (Who knows? I may start this series up again here).
4. The Monkey D. Luffy aesthetic set. I loved the end result with the colours and the pictures. It just feels like it has the fun Luffy vibe to it.
5. Zeno + note to self. This was the first time I did an anime gifset and doing it for my favourite Akatsuki no Yona character was a bonus. Zeno deserves all the happiness in the world.

Hey moh physically fight me. I can’t handle the amazing ness of that gifset
😊😊😊 I can’t fight you because you’re always so nice to me! Honestly you’re one of the sweetest people on tumblr ever! Thank you so so so much!😄
Really though, you’re comments (both in your own tags and my inbox) are the nicest things to read so thank you so much for being so kind!😊😊😊
This edit was so much fun to work on. I’ve literally had that idea in my drafts for like over a year and then I finally got around to making it earlier this week. It’s one of my favs just because I love how it turned out in comparison to some of my other gifsets.

Where do you find the images for #narniaaz?
I mainly get the images from my Pinterest here.
I try and tell the stories of the characters through their pictures so I look at their descriptions on Wikipedia & the Wiki and go from there.
i.e. For Alberta Scrubb, on the wiki it says the windows are always open at the Scrubb household hence the open window picture for her.
Once I’ve got the idea of what pictures I want to try and find, in Pinterest I’ll either have a picture already saved in one of my boards or I’ll search up using specific words.
i.e. For Alberta Scrubb I searched up “old radio”. A neat trick when using Pinterest is to type in “photography” or “aesthetic” after what you’re searching to get the aesthetic type of images. I did the same with “open window photography” for the second image.
I also use screencaps from other films/shows if I think the scenes being portrayed work for one of the Narnia characters.
i.e. For Belisar, on the wiki it states how Miraz had him and another Lord shot down by arrows during a hunting party because of their loyalty to the late King Caspian IX. Because of this I ended up using a screenshot of Boromir being shot by arrows from The Lord of the Rings films.
Hope that helps!

Your a-z narnia character series is so pretty! I love that you're making them for the minor characters too
Thank you so much!!! It’s honestly so much fun to make them. I actually have a bunch already done and queued up while I study/write my exams for this week and next week.
At first I was only going to do one character for each letter but reading through the list of characters on the wikipedia page got me inspired to make edits for the other lesser known characters as well. Not to mention it was really hard for me to choose only one character for each letter. Like how could I choose between Aravis and Aslan for A? Or Peter and Polly for P? It’s just not possible.
Also reading through the list of characters I forgot just how many minor characters there are, since I haven’t read the series in ages. Like Alambil or Zardeenah. Making Alambil’s edit was so much fun and it’s definitely one of my favourites so far.
