Hey everyone!

Let me thank you first for all the follows and subscriptions after my latest set! I can't be grateful enough that you like the nursery collection this much and I hope I can continue to bring you something you like as much.

I've started working on the next set which will be obviously a Christmas-themed one. I didn't want to spoil the Christmas tree itself but I can't show you anything else and I wanted to check in. So I'm spoiling it but I was planning this to be the main attraction. :D Nevermind.

Let me tell you, I suffered A LOT these days with this tree. I've been working on this for 5 days nonstop. I wanted it to have dynamic animated lights but I couldn't figure out a good solution so we should settle with static lights. :D

I try to use my new newfound knowledge to use the animated lights for another object though. I hope I'll succeed.

This picture is heavily work in progress, I'll build it up more and the texture is not final as well but as I said this is the only thing to show you right now.

The other objects are from other cc sets of mine (mostly the Cabin ones) they're just there to show how I would like the living room to feel. I'm planning to do a big fireplace and a (modular or not I'll decide) sofa.

Hope you'll like this as much as I'm struggling with this tree, then everything is good. :D

I thought that this 1882 Victorian in Oakland, Maryland was going to be amazing, b/c the exterior looks so nice, but the 7bd, 3ba home was done by a flipper who either ran out of money or just said "screw it." Asking $300K. The buyer will have to finish the house.

They put a lot of money into the exterior, but gave up on some of the interior. They didn't even dust the stairs.

They left some original features, which is a good thing, like this fireplace, and it's the only one. They also went with the popular gray color scheme.

The bath got a modular shower, a new pedestal sink, and drywall.

The kitchen redo- typical flipper white shaker cabinets. The fridge fits, so why the board on the side?

Those would be the original service stairs on the left.

I'm so confused, but I think that this is the dining room.

This is a horror. They gave up on the floor, didn't refinish the stairs and put up gray paneling.

The bedrooms are all gray and the floors are in various conditions.

This looks like a bath and hallway to the attic.

New bath.

The rest of the money went to finishing the attic.

It's huge and the best space in the house.

Love the turret room.

There's a full bath up here, too.

The stairs will need some sort of protective finish.

The patio needs some work and the garden is overgrown, but there's a brick barbecue. Can't tell if it's useable.

It's a large house for the price.

He put on a new roof that must've cost several thousand. The lot is .04 acre.

Today I have a mixed bag of goodies to offer up to this amazing Sims 2 community! Under the cut, you’ll find preview pictures, more information, and the download link!

@daydreamingdrawerette requested a few 4t2 lamps, and here they are in all their glory... along with one I wanted for myself. In order from top to bottom, left to right...

As I said in my last post, @sofia-28tosi-blog had requested some 4t2 counters, so I did a couple more for her. This is the “Whittler���s Pride Kitchen Counter” from Cottage Living. All recolors are included... with a great big asterisk attached, which I will explain now. 

The mapping for Sims 4 counters is extremely different from Sims 2 counters, but in order for sinks to place properly in counters, the countertop can’t be remeshed/changed. I had to choose between 100% Sims 4 accurate aesthetics or functionality... and functionality is going to win every single time. Rather than use the countertop textures from Sims 4, I used the texture of @cluedosims / @shastakiss‘ Cluedo woods, but colormatched to the original Sims 4 textures. There is barely a difference in colors, and honestly... Shasta’s wood texture is nicer than EAxis’ in my opinion.

There are ten base recolors and seven countertop recolors (not all pictured). They are separate subsets... you can mix and match to your heart's content. Countertops have a clean and messy state. And as I already said... sinks will place properly.

This is the “VAULT Modular Counter” from the Base Game. As I said before... I sacrificed 100% original Sims 4 textures for functionality. I wanted a wood grain that was as close as the original as possible, which sadly made the Cluedo texture not a good match for these, but after some googling, I found a conversion of a floor by @fakebloood that was originally by PralineSims (you can find the floors here) that I used as a base for the texture, then color matched to the original countertops.

There are 15 bases and 15 countertop recolors (not all pictured). They are separate subsets so you can mix and match. Countertops have a clean and messy state and sinks place properly. 

Next up... I have the “Haughty Herringbone Fireplace” from Growing Together. It can be found in Appliances > Miscellaneous and is fully functional. All recolors are included.

Last, but certainly not least is the “Wub Tub Electromagic DJ Booth” and get this... it’s fully functional! Sims 2 DJ booths have a platform that Sims 4 DJ booths do not, and I honestly have no idea how to change that... so I added the platform in by cloning a 3t2 dj booth by FabulousZombie on LJ. I used their platform as a base (since the ones in Sims 2 are just ugly) and built atop it. The platform is not recolorable, but the booth itself is. Many thanks to FabulousZombie, and you can find their 3t2 dj booths here. 

All recolors for all objects are included. Each object is in an individual folder containing pictures of each recolor so you can pick and choose what you want. Make sure you discard the images once you’ve decided what to keep. Files are compressorized.

Dodomu - Part 1

Zdravo! I'm Beogradska and I make Sims4 CC.

I'm making CC for a while now but I have not published it before. I like to make cultural and historical builds. After ruzzia began terrible full scale war against Ukraine, I began to learn about Ukrainian culture more and I tried to make Ukrainian Sims build. Unfortunately I found there is not much CC for this and many of "Slavic" cc out there is ruzzians appropriating from other Slavic cultures. I don't want to use that CC so I started to make my own.

Since this kind of CC is rare, I want to share it so that others can use it as well. First set I am working on is called Dodomu, means "home" in Ukrainian language. This set is a Ukrainian stove called "Pich" and it's modular CC set.

The set has a functional double plaster oven/stove and functional fireplace with 40 swatches, optional petrykivka paintings, and goddess Mokosh specular map on the stove door.

It also contains seats with 10 color swatches and 4 cushion swatch options for both right and left side of stove, as well as bench that can be placed beside stove. Plenty of decor slots for all. These stoves were commonly used for sleeping in winter to stay warm so there will be bed base and bedding with two height options.

📢 SEPTEMBER THEME: UN-MINIFIGURED

For this month, I want to see official deminifigured sets.

The idea is simple, choose an official Lego set that includes minifigs, remove the minifigs and photograph this set while mentioning the number of the set you are photographing in the bio of your photo.

There are a multitude of possible choices, modulars, buildings, vehicles....the most important thing is to be creative to make this set lively enough.

Today I'm using a set that in my opinion is one of the most photogenic in the Lego range. The A Frame Cabin (21338). It remains very easy to photograph due to its composition. As the challenge is to photograph it without minifigs, to make it come alive I had the idea of ​​giving the impression that they are there but that we don't see them. To do this I used a technique to make smoke come out of the chimney and I put some lighting inside. Thus by accompanying it with a slightly dark color palette, I give the impression that we are in front of a cold and damp autumn morning and that the minifigs are sipping coffee in front of the fireplace.

Use your creativity to make the set stand out in the absence of the minifigs that normally accompany it.

Hello! How are you dear? (I hope I can call you like that by the way🙃) I have a problem with some of your lots, your high school and your animal shelter, for some reason part of the walls disappear, I can build again without problem but I just wanna why this happens😊

And also in the boat house (I don't know if is call like that sorry) in the second floor I have blue flashing I don't have my pc right now and I don't remember what object was.I am new in this so I hope the answer is not that obvious

you're not annoying! i'm sorry for the confusion, do you have numenor's no cutaway walls? They are a custom wall that never gets minimized when you put the walls down, I use them a lot in my builds. I mention on the posts that you need them but its easy to miss because they don't come packaged with the lot, you have to be sure you install them separately!

they are a little trickier to install compared to normal cc because you have to install them a specific way. Numenor has a little utility called the Scriptorium that makes it much easier to install custom walls, stairs and fireplaces so I suggest using it to install the walls. If you play ultimate collection you might have a little trouble with the scriptorium installer, but I found some comments with tips for how to make it work in the modthesims thread!

On page 26 and 27 of the thread on modthesims people discuss some different techniques to get it to install correctly with ultimate collection:

one comment says: "For anyone having trouble using Scriptorium with the Ultimate Collection, it seems the simplest fix is to move the files to the Mansions and Gardens folder (SP9) of Fun With Pets instead of the Base folder in Double Deluxe.

In other words, first copying the Scriptorium folders from ’[Wherever you installed TS2]\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts’ as well as the Scriptorium lights folder from ’…\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base\TSData\Res\Lights’. Then paste those folders into (for scripts) ’…\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts’ and (for lights) ’…\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Lights’

Make sure you paste it into the ‘SP9’ subfolder, not one of the others in 'Fun With Pets’.

You can make new shortcuts in your downloads folder if you like, or just remember to place any further ones in SP9 and not DD Base. I’d guess that the creators have moved on from this project and any updating would be unlikely, so this is the easiest workaround I’ve tried." --------------- and on the next page there is a tip for installing scriptorium for the sims 2 Legacy Collection: "Scriptorium typically wants the most recent pack's folders to use, which in UC's case is SP9--but we don't have that on Legacy. You're going to pop that series of folders and corresponding scripts into Base instead. (Filepath should look similar to C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts)

Those folders and txt files want to go into this Scripts folder, but Scriptorium also dumps a few shortcut files--typically there to live in your downloads folder. For us, these are broken. Right click on each one, and change the "Target" and "Start In" boxes to where that file goes. (For instance, for me each one for Decks/Foundations goes to "C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts\Scriptorium_Decks-Foundations-Pools"). You will need to do this separately for each shortcut and its corresponding folder.

From here, things should work. Download a Scriptorium-dependent file, and drag it to the corresponding shortcut. It should plop that into the folder and write a corresponding script as it normally would. Check it in game, and there you go." ----------

I hope that this helps and you can install the custom walls easily if you choose too! You might not run into problems either, some people find that the normal scriptorium install from the modthesims post works fine in ultimate collection. But hopefully if you have any problems those comments can help! as for the flashing blue in the houseboat, dang i'm sorry i don't know what it could be! I tested the lot in a cc free neighborhood and I didn't have any blue flashing. Only thing I can think of is that the bed is I believe from the sims 2 store asian fusion set, so in case that didn't package properly with the lot be sure you have the sims 2 store objects which you can download from garden of shadows. hope this helps! <3
