how do memories even work in the circus anyway

i mean, like, how is it chosen whats remembered, some people seem to remember more than others.

Could a characters personality be shifted based on what memories they remember upon entering the circus?

Simple answer to all of that; it depends on the mod and situation

Some mods have their characters remember everything

Some have them remember nothing

A good deal of characters remember their pasts, but not names or faces associated with them

Some remember even less

But also, absolutely, character personalities can totally shift based on memories. It can also shift as they recover/lose memories

But again, it depends on the mod
