tbth i think my favourite part of smile 2 is how utterly fucking sad joel looked in the opening. i mean kyle gallner's performance was definitely part of it like he's a legit fantastic actor but a good chunk was just how fucking crestfallen this lad was. you don't even need context for the first film. like. look at him.

Hyrule, Twilight, and Wild laugh at him, but still huddle under their blankets as they watch the movie.

The movie had gotten to an eerie, quiet part. All five of them were silent, focusing heavily on the movie.

They were so focused that they didn’t hear the light footsteps coming up from behind the couch.

Time, slamming his hands down on the back of the couch: Hello boys.

They scream their lungs out, Legend and Wars basically flying off the couch. Legend dragged twilight off the couch with him and Hyrule and Wild hugged each other for dear life.

And Time just cackled at their reaction.

In a modern world, Jaskier and Geralt are unlikely best friends. Have been for years. An odd new part of the routine however is Jaskier's sudden insistence on watching horror movies nearly every night he and Geralt hang out. It's the last thing they do every time, late at night, sat on the couch together, and it's what they do before Geralt leaves back to his place. They sit by each other on the couch, of course, they're fine with being near each other. They've been best friends for years. But Jaskier's fear of actually paying attention to what's on the screen usually ends up with them cuddling, as Jaskier hides from the movie by shoving his face into Geralt. But Jaskier just keeps asking for the horror movies, so he must like the movies, despite them scaring him. He was always a bit weird. Geralt supposes it's not too odd for his friend. That's why Geralt is incredibly surprised when he gets a call at 3 am from Jaskier's room mate, yelling at him to stop forcing Jaskier to watch movies he's afraid of, because they don't want to deal with Jaskier waking up from nightmares any more. Jaskier meanwhile thinks that the night terrors are TOTALLY worth getting an excuse to cuddle Geralt nearly every night. It's been so many years of being deeply in love with his best friend, and he's like a starving man being fed crumbs. He's just glad Geralt hasn't seemed to catch on yet!

Modern au calypso is a hardcore music / movie geek, and can VERY easily transform into the yapatron 5000 and talk your ear off for HOURS. She’s not the best student, flirts with almost every girl she meets, and does stupid shit to impress them. POV: the weirdo who giggles and twirls their feet whenever they talk to pretty girls joins the football team with no experience to impress the cheerleaders (she sucks at sports)

Director and German Expressionist Robert Wiene makes use of expressionist architecture and narrative through extreme distortion of both the physical set of the movie and it’s plot. The Cabinet of Dr.Calligari is famously recognized as the very first horror movie made in 1920 written by Hans Janowitz and Carl Mayer. The Story follows Cesar, a sleepwalker and his keeper, Dr.Calligari. Cesar is said to be all knowing and is later revealed as a murderer.
