A:tLA Olympics AU – Azula

Strong and elegant, and with lots of talents – I chose artistic gymnastics for her, because it looks spectacular, requires precision (the beam routines are crazy!) and is really physically demanding. Also it was inspired by acrobatic elements in her fighting style. Ty Lee, who does rhythmic gymnastics, helps Azula with overstretching.

Mai could've participated in the shooting events, calm and focused, able to shoot in-between her heartbeats – but she is too indifferent for competitions.

zuko: where's the stepladder?

azula: do you even know how to change a lightbulb, zuzu?

zuko: i've seen the servants do it hundreds of times. it's not that hard.

(zuko discovers they're all out of lightbulbs. this is fine. there's a store across the street and mom left them some money. he can just go buy some new ones.)

azula: i have a better idea.

(azula fires a small spark of lightning at the lightbulb. this was not a better idea. the lightbulb bursts and knocks all of the power out... for the entire building.)

zuko: ...wow. you're right. that was a better idea.

azula: it's not my fault the pathetic excuse of an electrical system this apartment has can't handle my greatness.

zuko: ...i'm calling mom

azula: DON'T YOU DARE!
