james potter was an actor; the 'teenage-dream-guy' type of actor. fluffy brown hair, big brown eyes, and the most charming smile ever. he had an appealing aura, always being nice and joking around with interviewers and never refusing to take a photo with a fan.

james was simply perfect, ideal to date, anyone would want to work with him—much more if it was a romance movie. his acting skills would always get him the highest praise.

however, you, didn't quite play into the whole 'james-potter-fanatism' thing. he was too cocky, too arrogant for you. acting—no pun intended— as if every place he stepped into was his own.

very much to your distaste, he was your romantic lead in the new movie you were working on. that meant countless hours together, and loads of kissing.

“whenever you're ready.” james looked your way and then gave the cameraman and director a quick nod, instantly switching to character. his usal teasing smile was replaced by an almost too real fondness.

you pushed away from his lips as soon as the camera cut.

“ow, i'm hurt, darling.” james smirked, pushing his hands into his pockets. “we could try again if you want. maybe you'll love it if we do.” That charming idiot.

“keep trying, potter.” you frowned his way, his smirk only growing. “believe me, i will, for as long as we're filming this movie.” his eyes widened in mock-surprise at your glare. “oh come on, i'm just joking around, don't take everything so seriously.”

“enough you two already, can you please be quiet for two seconds?” screamed, marlene, another of the cast members. “i'm honestly tired of you two arguing over every little thing. i think the movies' gotten to your heads, and you will have a real-life enemies to lovers.”

“what? we so will not-” you defended yourself, taking a step further. “for once, i agree with her. it's all jokes from my side.” replied james, huffing and running a hand through his hair.

“whatever you say, just know that if you to do end up together, you owe me twenty pounds.” marlene dismissed, walking out of the room. her signature red boots clinking against the floor and her bleached blond hair moving along with her steps.

james potter x reader. rockstar!au. the marauders as a band. f!reader implied, though could be anybody. seeing your guitarist bf backstage.

the marauders. a rising rock band in the 70s british music scene. they had everything they needed to be successful. they were a band of four (attractive) young men with a great aesthetic and sound. they were bound to reach stardom.

safe to say, the boys had their fanbase. dozens of young girls—and even some boys—were obsessed with them, and not just because of their music.

james and sirius were the two for whom fangirls particularly drooled over. they'd send them love letters, confessions, and even personal posesions.

all of these attempts were rather frutile, since sirius was too busy in a messy relationship with the band's drummer, remus, and james was already taken by non-other than you.

when I say taken, I mean happily taken. blissfully taken. eve since james and you had begun to date, the band had surprisingly started to release more and more love songs. all of them written by yours truly james potter.

tonight, they were playing a bigger show than usual. james had been both excited and nervous for one week straight. he had begged you to be there. it meant so much to him.

throughout the whole gig, james' eyes never left yours from the stage. you were standing more at the back, in order not to get recognized by the fans. every now and then, he would shoot a smile and blow a kiss in your direction.

soon enough, the show was over, and the venue eventually became empty. james was talking to sirius, his cheeks still flushed from the adrenaline, and his curls sticking to his tan skin. his glasses were titled and slightly damp.

you opened the door, and his head shot in your direction with a big grin on his face. he ran to you and picked you up. "how'd I do, luv? i was great, right? I felt great." he rambled.

"you were, james, you always are." you replied to him, with a smile in your own lips. "yeah?" he asked. "mhm. definitely." you replied.

"oh, don't feed the wanker's ego!" sirius chimed in from a few steps away. remus and peter laughing from the corner at his friend's behaviour.

"thank you so much for coming." he cupped your cheeks and kissed you.
