Un-Rigged Chloe & Juleka models for a Chloleka AU I keep tinkering with called the "Match my Freak AU".
Where Chloe sees Juleka's more aggressive & devoted side (In regard to Rose) & is enamored with Juleka as someone else who dedicates herself to someone unattainable. (As she does with her mother) so she sets out to try and woo her.
With this leading to Juleka gaining an early modelling career & major boost in confidence & Chloe actually being able to socialize with the class in a nondestructive way. Of course, they may also egg each other's wilder behavior on.

quick note - this blog is gonna be sparse again for at least this week. trying new medications and tbh initial side effects are not super pleasant + actual effects build up. as a result: currently as if unmedicated for mental health, with anxiety+ side effect, extra fatigue, dizziness, and fatigue. it's uh, sure something.
totally recognize that most of y'all know we're absent at times due to health things, just wanted to give a heads up that this one is at least anticipated.
#fun fact sometimes condensing meds just means poorer treatment of some conditions#this is a re-expansion + new thing#so that instead of poorly treating my mental health and using an unusually high dose SNRI for another (physical) condition#i will hopefully both be in less pain AND not depressed af AND also have an appetite again#i doubt i will be lucky and not have a fucked stomach due to meds but one can hope that an appetite will allow me to eat foods that upset#my stomach a lot less#my health is forever a massive balancing act#every time a medical thing is like 'so what meds do u take' i'm like here i wrote it down for u#and they're like 'oh. ooookay. let me just...' *five minutes of typing and clicking later*#'so! what did you come in for again? uhuh. you said you experience pain daily? with your chronic pain thing? hm. have you tried yoga?'#/gen#like. straight up every time i say 'i am in pain all the time due to fibromyalgia' they are like 'ooh studies say regular exercise helps'#and like. theoretically yes! but also. i would be lying if i said the fibromyalgia studies i've skimmed don't set off general 'bad science'#alarm bells in my brain#like... cool you performed a fibromyalgia study with... all male lab rats? mhmm? so are you aware fibromyalgia appears to occur#overwhelmingly in women? like. data seems to suggest between 70-85%?#(not that the data can't still indicate things but it certainly makes male rats a poor choice of model for tests on it)#also just... idk i've looked at some metaanalysis and been like 'okay cool theory and for all i know about human bio or bio in general that#sounds more or less correct BUT. you never discussed that one study on this subject that did NOT support your conclusion.#and that's 1) interesting when it was the most diverse group of subjects and the exceptions often teach just as much as the 'rule'#2) just shitty science. tell me how your theory is still credible when some evidence doesn't fit the model.#like... 'given that all other studies were primarily conducted on white american women in their 30s to 40s it is possible that this model#only explains (the early effects of fibro since that's a typical onset period) / (a possible genetic link primarily found in white women) /#(a possible sign of bias in diagnosis that demonstrates the possibility that there are different causes) / combinations of all of those#like... idk a paper that just throws out things that don't support it is a pretty big red flag#it doesn't mean the conclusion is entirely incorrect but it is often important to understand the context in which it applies#like... it's very easy to jump to an incorrect conclusion if you used something in the wrong context#ie: thumbs up is a good job / positive thing in a lot of western civilizations. teenage kee once went to china and discovered it to be#neutral to offensive in many areas outside of major tourist locations that were used to it#anyways i gotta sleep

oh i completed this model this weekend btw!! hard surface sculpt in zbrush. i did everything except for the head in one weekend. it was hell :D
#got the job done though!#ramblies#the only L i had to take was that i couldnt bevel his sides#it was like 2 hours before submission was do + i had to do my turntable and make this composite + do final touches#and i was having SO many issues. shouldve bevelled in the lowpoly stage but i already divided everything#so i was like. fuck it. did some bevelling with the shitty ass bevel brush and called it a day#its not PERFECT but by golly i sure did make. a thing! of decent quality! i think!#it LOOKS pretty damn good but idk what my prof will think. hoping for an 85 feels a little optimistic but like whatever#next i get to model BIG FUCKING DRAGON#my art

All I'll say, is that college professor who bitch about "professionalism" in students forgets that it cuts both ways
You're a professor, this is a student. You are in theory at least and educator, and so when someone behaves in a way you find unbecoming it's your duty to say "in future please do ___ because that's the polite way to do things" rather than just tearing into them and complaining... to do other wise... well it lacks professionalism
Because it's never a reaction to the student being like "Yo what up skank?", it's always something minor that's not even a universal faux pas
Which cuts to to the core of what it's really about, it's never the language used, or that handing in an assignment only x minutes before the due date is an issue, it's a pure power trip
I don't know about you, but I find power tripping pretty unprofessional
These professors will act like the sun shines out their ass while throwing bigger tantrum over nothing than a toddler would, while citing that the student isn't behaving properly and it's just... you're a disgrace to education, you make academia worse with your presence, you have the emotional stability of a child, and for all your pomp and airs you lack even basic manners which is the foundation of being a professional
Just get tired of that kind of professor and wanted to complain about them
(Bonus complaint, professors who brag that only a small % of students pass their class. Oh... so you're a bad teacher... you're not good at your job. You fail at the one thing you're paid to do with a large % of your students)
#this isn't about anyone I dealt with; but you know these examples pile up over the years#from the professor a friend of mine had to deal with; to the one I saw the other day marking an on time assignment late#to the one I just saw complaining about a :) in a message from a freshman#like... oh... they put a :) and you don't like that?#well someone with actual professionalism would say:#'Here's the answer to your question; by the way emojis aren't really good form so try not to use them in official communications'#whether you're wrong or right; you at least handled yourself with dignity#if I were a higher up at any of these places and heard about this stuff I'd be reprimanding them for their behavior frankly#like with the friend of mine; this was a while back but I swear it was something like they said 'yo' in an email... like that level of issu#and the prof is like threatening disciplinary action and like... if they came to me with that and I had any authority#it's them who'd be getting disciplined for wasting my time#you're beefing with someone in their 20's you weeny; grow up; and not even beefing over an actual insult#like this holds true for almost anyone complaining about 'professionalism'#but it's so much more true with professors cause it's like... you're literally a teacher... it's literally your job to teach#no this isn't philosophy or whatever; but you can... teach... what you think the person should be doing#and that starts with modeling it in your own behavior#maybe I'm just a kook; but to me professionalism is built on good manners; so being a rude ass makes you seem like a real chump to me#but like I said; never actually about what they say it is; it's always a chance to power trip#plenty of good professors; like my German prof; he engaged with every student and would really keep an eye on what was happening for them#students didn't fail his classes; lowest I saw anyone get was like an 85 and they were moving to another country#cause he paid attention and before tests would be like 'this person is weak in this; so we're going over it again'#it wasn't that his tests were easy; they literally were only short essay; zero multiple choice cause he wisely didn't respect that#so you literally couldn't answer a question unless you knew; and you had to get it right; he was a stickler about it#but no one ever felt stressed because he literally just made sure people knew; he made sure their knowledge was up to his high standards#and everyone loved him cause he was such a nice guy; literally everyone ever only had good things to say about him#plus he was a linguist so when people would ask questions about why something was how it was in German#he'd stand there thinking and say 'I'm trying to decide how much to say so it'll help you understand rather than confusing you'#and then he'd give a really good explanation that you knew maybe lack some details but really made sense#also he was the only person to recommend me a text book for outside reading that was an actually enjoyable textbook on language#I don't think everyone can be him; he was an exceptional teacher and exceptional guy in general; just really nice

spent all day calculating how we could add a dishwasher to our accursed kitchen
and im gonna throw in a couple of shelves because im TIRED of keeping all the coffee pods in a pile in the pan fry splash zone
#i have figured it out except for the retrofitting#but im going to just ask if they can retrofit it at the shops for 85cm with 4 cm countertop which i think is standard#without retrofitting the sides because i cant be bothered to take out and add on more to the sides#probably can but idk the models say the dishwasher is 85-86.5 height#which is not something u can add 4 cms to#whatever at least the math for the stupid hoses with the stupid loops in em checks out (just barely) at around 3.3 meters#they say the feet are adjustable but not by how much and thats why 85-86.5 is confusing me so much. surely not adjustable by a mere 1.5 cm?
