• he's been preparing a very special gift for you for many, many months now and has had the day of your birthday marked down in all his calendars • "of course i remembered your birthday" he chuckles and plants a kiss on the top of your head. "how could i not? out of the 365 days in the year this is my favorite one." • even though you didn't remind him, he knew it was your birthday. i guess he just has his ways as a guy who's pretty savvy at a lot of things ;-) • "you should open up the present i got you babe. i need to see your pretty face light up with excitement" • inside the intricately wrapped box he hands to you there's a scrapbook. inside there are love notes and memorable photos of the two of you that were clearly well thought out. it must've taken him a while! • "wait.. wait.. that's not all, you think i wouldn't spoil you a little on your big day? c'mon baby, i know you know me better than that." he gives you a little wink as he hands you a small gift bag with crinkled paper sticking out at the top • you're pretty overwhelmed with emotion at this point, as the amount of effort that he's put into this is not really what you're used to. he reaches his arm around you to hold you while you dig into the bag. • "i've thought of you every time i've traveled this past year. when i visit new places, i try to find souvenirs that you'd like. so... what do you think?" �� you hold up a necklace, bracelet, and a keychain that contain references to an island that he's visited recently • "i hope you love it, you know i just wanna make you happy. i love you. now, where do you wanna go for dinner? i'll take you anywhere, it's my treat." he puts one of his hands on your cheek, his expression soft as he leans his head in to give you a gentle kiss Shuichi Saihara:

• you get a call from your boyfriend shuichi. you pick up the phone and he answers with, "hey y/n, i wanted to take you out today... can we meet in like, an hour? if that's okay with you, of course..." he sounds a little nervous on the phone. "i got it all covered, just stand outside and i'll swing by to take you on an adventure." • at first you think to yourself, "well, shuichi didn't mention my birthday... does he know it's today? or are we just going on a date?" • once you get ready for the day out, your boyfriend waits outside for you just as planned. his entire face lights up when he sees you and he's blushing so hard you can see it through the tinted window of his car 😭 • "oh wow, uhm... you're so ... attractive..." he's stumbling on his words and is struggling to maintain eye contact with you as you get in the passenger side of his car. it's just the two of you and you put some songs on the aux as he drives you • "your outfit," he can barely focus on much else but you. "i... love it. you look super nice..." he gives a light laugh and puts a hand on your leg • when you ask him where you two are going, to which he replies, "oh, you'll see, it's a surprise!" • after driving for a little, you see that he's taken you to an aquarium. it's a really scenic area and you're excited to go on a romantic excursion with your boyfriend

• "wait, um, before we go in, can i show you something? it's actually in my trunk." he opens up the back of his car and it's literally full of gifts. like. you're shocked at the pure volume of gifts he's brought you. • "surprise, love..! happy birthday... i'm sorry if it looked like i forgot, i promise i'd never ever. i stayed up all night wrapping these and making sure i could get things just right..." • you practically yourself into his arms, and he holds you close against his chest. "now, let's go have a good day. you deserve it after all" Kaede Akamatsu:

• you wake up on the morning of your birthday with approximately 50 message pings on your phone. they're all text messages from your girlfriend kaede- • one of the first things you read is "i'm so so sorry if i woke you up, but i needed to let you know that i'm thinking about you on this very special day... happy birthday my angel!" • the rest are all long, extensive messages about how much she loves and appreciates you, and how she's going to make this day memorable for you

• after getting ready for the day, she knocks on your door to come visit. she won't stop reminding you it's your birthday, making sure you feel the love you deserve • it's clear that she's been planning out what she wants to do to surprise you for literal months now • she planned a surprise party at her place that she's about to take you to, one with all your mutual friends that she's planned the events, catering, and activities for • "don't worry hon... i'm sure you'll love what's to come." she gives you a swift wink and kisses your cheek. • when you two arrive at kaede's place, you get surprised by all of your friends and a well decorated living room, kitchen, and hallway • "surprise! i thought i'd plan this out for you so i could make your day extra special... i love you so much, y/n. please never forget how much you mean to me, and to everyone else." • the rest of the day, kaede showers you with a ton of physical affection and makes sure everything goes according to plan. she even baked the cake from scratch and made sure to decorate it in a personable way for you :') • "okay look... i know the cake doesn't look professionally made but it's made with love" she laughs and she gives you a warm hug. the cake is actually really tasty, despite the slightly lopsided look <3

To mod, I noticed Makoto changed in the icon, what's up with that?

//I feel like I probably should explain this because I’m realising there are a lot of current viewers who don’t quite get the thing because they weren’t here for the last few arcs of the story.

//Basically, the icon for the blog was originally a normal colour like Makoto is now, but over the course of the latter half of this phase, the protagonists have gone through some negative character development.

//Hajime was suppressed during his fight with Nagito which brought Izuru out. Makoto started to become cynical after Mukuro’s death and by the end of Into the Ocean, he’d kind of become a negatively aligned character. Due to circumstances surrounding Kaede’s capture, as well as the pressure of being perfect that he put on himself, Shuichi started to become more closed off and acted like someone that he wasn’t.

//Every time these negative character scenes happened, the icon of each Protag and their colours got inverted.

//Makoto’s arc is now basically finished and he’s not only managed to get himself out of his diseased mindset, but he’s accepted his mistakes, apologised, and can now only go up from here. So his part of the icon switched back because he’s managed to overcome his negative development.

//Hajime and Shuichi will turn back before the end of this arc too. I won’t say how or when, but I hope that answered your questions.

200+ Followers Event: Drunken confession from Shuichi!

(For the sake of clarity, everyone mentioned is of legal drinking age! Also, Mod Celeste says to drink responsibly!)

Shuichi is not usually a drinker. He'll join Kaito and Rantaro at the bar every so often, though he's the designated driver pretty much every time. Not that he minds, of course. He'd hate to lose his inhibitions.

Last time the guys got together, Kaito told him about the annual class reunion in a few weeks. Despite the... quirkiness of his graduating class, Shuichi does still like seeing them every so often. Also, you would be there-- and he's been thinking about catching up since you are often out of the county for work.

"I know you'll be there dude-- y/n already RSVP'd." Kaito laughed as he smacked him in the shoulder.

So, once the day came, there he was. The reunion was usually held at a nice hotel's convention center. A fairly dressy event, but that didn't stop Gonta from not wearing shoes... "you have to admire his consistency," Shuichi thought. It put him at ease to see old friends.

He was making small talk with Maki when you arrived. Dressed sharply and beautiful as ever, his heart stopped at the sight of you. But it had been so long... what would you even talk about? Heck, would you remember him? The anxiety filled his mind.

Kokichi, observant as ever, saw him in this state. He scampered over, mischievous intentions clear, and struck up a conversation. "Heeeeey buddy, cat got your tongue?"

Startled, Shuichi stuttered out a response. "O-oh, uh... yeah, I suppose. Just a bit out of my element, haha." That was an understatement.

"Well... I think I know just the thing. Loosen up, will ya?" With his devious little smile, he passes Shuichi a glass of champagne. In a moment of weakness, he downed the whole thing. Though, it did help.

Looking for some better solace than Kokichi, the detective found Kaito and Maki once again. He saw you talking to the hotel staff, friendly and warm. They could tell Shuichi was a bit shaken, so the pair sat him down and tried to help.

"Listen, man. I know you've got the hots for y/n, so you should be honest!" Kaito was a pretty straightforward guy, for better or worse.

"Now now, Kaito. It's not always that simple..." Maki, the more thoughtful of the two, chimed in.

Shuichi sat at their table, dejected. "I'd love to, but... what if they don't reciprocate? What if I do something wrong?"

Kaito knows when he gets like this, positivity is the remedy. "Have some confidence! You're a really cool guy, and they know it. Just show them that and you can't go wrong! That's how I got Maki-roll, you know." She rolls her eyes, but can't deny it either.

He takes the advice to heart. Trying to embrace the night in stride, he has a few more drinks and makes the rounds to talk to everyone. Shuichi had planned on saving you for last, in the hopes maybe he'd catch you alone. However, the nerves got to him, as did the alcohol. By the time he walked his way over to you (it was more of a stagger, actually), his cheeks were flushed and he had an unusual expression.

"Uh, hey there... y/n." He attempted the charm of a movie star, albeit poorly. "How's it been?" He enquired.

He was clearly a bit inebriated. You thought it was cute, though. The entire night you'd seen him steal glances, only to turn away shyly. He wanted to impress you, and you knew it. You'd had some chemistry back in school, after all. You humored him and answered, with the same "cool-person" attitude.

In his state, he saw this as a win. So, he kept going. Maybe not being held back by his rational side was a good thing? "Let's say we go over the balcony, you and I... I'd like some more alone time with you, if you don't mind," He winked as he took your hand and guided you to the secluded spot. The guardrails were strung with twinkling lights and the view was just stunning.

You asked what his intentions were, and he finally came clean. "So, uh... as it turns out, I'm in love with you. Crazy, right? I have since Hope's Peak, really. I'm sure you've got an awesome partner already though, so this... this is without hope or agenda, okay?" Even in his drunken state, some genuine thoughts slipped through.

Hearing the words after all this time brought you peace. You hugged him tightly, reassuring him you had nobody else. His red face turned redder.

"Huh? Wait, you actually--- huh. I didn't plan this far..." you both shared a laugh at that. The night had worn on very long, however, and it was time to get going. You drove him home, and tucked him in. By that point, he was passed out. What a night!

In the morning, he was greeted with a horrible headache and a note on his bedside table. It read: "Hope you're up for some dinner tonight-- I have an extended stay here at home. Plus, it's about time for a first date, don't you think?" Signed with your name.

The shock finally hit him. "What did I do last night?" Shuichi was partly mortified, but...

Seems Kokichi was right about loosening up.

Do you know if there's a reason why DR2 doesn't have any "intelligent character" like DR1 and V3 do? It has a protagonist (obviously) and someone in the rival / antagonist archetype (Nagito), so why is it missing someone in the "helpful person that suggests things and moves trials forward" archetype?

Monokuma says something that kinda makes it sound like it was supposed to be Chiaki but she never really says anything smart or does anything very useful. Do you think maybe they changed the plans for the story?

You’re thinking of a “support” role, and yes; that’s Chiaki.

Chiaki supports and helps the protagonist alomg during the investigations and trials, as well as attempts to keep the group’s spirit alive afterwards. That is quite literally her purpose.

Kyoko’s the only one that follows the criteria you’ve set up. Sure, she’s supports Makoto during the class trials. But because she’s the smartest person in the room, it’s more like she spoon-feeds you the answer. And then it’ll be time for, to quote DRAT,

“Kirigiri Explains It All!”~

V3’s kinda tricky because technically there’s two protagonists and thusly will have multiple supports depending on who you ask. Some will say that Shuichi is Kaede’s support but that can’t be true vice versa because Kaede dies shortly into the game.

So Kaito is Shuichi’s support role, and he is notorious for being an idiot. Now I know he is an astronaut candidate and therefore would have to be knowledgeable about certain fields, like quite literally rocket science, but he’s not…..what’s the word I’m looking for…..“conventionally” smart.

Kaito doesn’t get a lot of things right in the investigations and trials and more often than not it’s, Shuichi or even Kokichi who has to explain it to him.

If you want an “intelligent” character you could try Nagito, I suppose. Other than that I say Sonia’s pretty smart. She does help and pull her weight on the latter half of the trials. At least it’s not like SDRA2 where the cast will constantly remind you that they themselves are not smart and have to rely on certain people.

The main question to ask, then, would be: what is Kokichi Ouma doing exactly, as he rests face down on the grassy parts of the Saishuu Academy courtyard? One very good, direct question that would probably be met with a million different answers, all of them containing varying degrees of truth and lies. And that’s exactly how he likes it, usually. He’s a riddle, an enigma. Making people want to solve him, just to escape their clutches when they thought they were close enough to catch him is something he seldom ever gets tired of. After all, it’s the spotlight, it’s the grand prize—there’s nothing better than when all eyes are on him.

I love the flow of emotion in this fic. It feels so realistic, especially taking Kokichi and Shuichi’s characters into account­. The worldbuilding is pretty unique as well: in the five years since the killing game, the victims have transformed the V3 simulation into a museum of sorts, so people can visit the Ultimate Academy in VR. Very cool; I don’t think I’ve seen that before. “Kinder” is a simple and sweet postgame fic and exactly what you’ll wish you’d had after playing the game for the first time.

Yeah, we rlly dont feel comfortable even roleplaying as a ship. We will answer saiouma asks, but we'll dodge the question, and such. If this was real there would probably be insane people who would be like "are you dating??". Me (Phantom thief) is more okay with those asks than Shuichi. He'll dodge the questions way more than me. With the last saiouma ask we got, I said I did flirt with him, but just so no one misinterprets that: I meant that I did it in a way to distract him. it's nice to meet all of you, I'm Makoto Naegi, this blog is for you all to ask us anything at future foundation!

I do have a few rules I'd like to put in place just so there's nothing bad that happens.

also hello, mod Jeremy here, I will mention that this is my own version of danganronpa. so do be aware that the characters may not act the same or have slight alterations to their personality as I am:

1, unable to copy much of their actual characters 2, and it makes it more fun for me and maybe make it interesting to you for another version of these characters

I will also mention that a lot of these characters, if not all of them, are in poly relationships as a lot of the ships I like are to cute to pass up and I may be using ship names that I came up with for some of the ships that barely have any or don't have cute ship names besides their own names combined.

I do also have habits of throwing random ideas in as they become short term hyperfixations that I cant stop thinking about, usually to Shuichi, Hajime or Izuru (sorry you three) so please expect this to not make that much sense as this is just for fun and its not made to make sense at all.

Probably gonna regret this, but I wanted to chime in with my answer.

Now all three of the girls have incredibly high rizz stats. But who has the most rizz of them all? Let’s find out.

Coming in last is Chiaki. Chiaki is super adorable and cute, she tries to act sexy and flirtatious at times; but more often than not, it backfires and just ends up being humorous more than anything. It’s like watching your kid sister act adulty. Hajime loves it don’t get me wrong, but she’s clearly outclassed in this regard.

The runner up is Kaede. Now Kaede has amazing rizz skills, she’s able to charm Shuichi plenty of times and damn well almost everybody in the V3 cast. But Kaede has one slight problem; she too is just as easily flusterable. Sometimes, she’ll be flirting at Shuichi, and Kaede will flustered…at her own lines. Good, but not good enough.

And of course, the one with most rizz, is Kyoko Kirigiri. Making Makoto blush is Kyoko’s pastime, it comes so naturally to her and Makoto will fall for it everytime. Everytime. She is a detective, she knows exactly what will file Makoto up. She choosing her words very carefully, very precise, thinking of the most meticulous way to get a blush out of that boy. Kyoko struts! With! Purpose! Easily the best of all three. Just goes to show, you can’t hear the classics.

-you were nervous- very nervous!

-you and Rantaro were on your way to meet his family. You never had the chance to meet them and you were happy when Rantaro announced that his parents and sisters want to get to know you, but now?

-God, you felt dizzy, the world spinned around you. 

-You wanted to run away, but you couldn't disappoint your boyfriend and his family like that.

-both of you slowly reached the gate in front of the house. Rantaro took your hand in his, squeezed it a little and smiled brightly.

-all your fear suddenly vanished and you returned the smile and you two rang the bell.

-the door swung open and Rantaro's parents stood in front of you, you straightened your back and smiled.

-his parents let you come in and showed you the way to the living room where 12 girls were sitting. "RANTARO!" they yelled and started sprinting towards him to jump on him.

-startled you took a few steps back to not get run over by Rantaro's sisters, who seemed very lively.

-"You're s/o, right?" a female, calm voice called out and you turned around. 

"Yes! Yes, I'm s/o! It's nice to meet you, miss Amami!" shook hands and sat down on the couch in the living room. 

-"my- don't be so nervous! I'm dealing with 12 girls and a boy- I can handle one more person just fine!" Rantaro's mom laughed and your nervousness melted away. She was truly nice.

-"hey, how is your chat with s/o going?" Rantaro suddenly appeared behind you and you almost jumped from the couch in your shock. 

-"pretty good! They are super sweet! You got yourself a very good partner! I sure hope you don't do something stupid and lose them!" She pointed at Rantaro with a glare, but started laughing right after.

-you laughed too and since Rantaro's hugging session was over

- now started yours!

-"S/O, S/O! YOU CAN'T ESCAPE FROM US!" the whole Amami family was chasing you through the house to give you hugs and you laughed, you never laughed so much before.

- It was the right decision to visit and get to know all of these lovely people.

-You didn't knew much about Kokichi's past, his family or "organisation" he claims to lead.

-you knew that he lies a lot, but you didn't mind that. 

-You even became pretty good at seeing through his lies.

-That's probably why it shocked you so much then Kokichi came home and suddenly said that he wants you to meet his family.

-of course, you were happy! That was a huge step Kokichi took to show you that he trusted you deeply and you appreciated it. 

-but- were you ready for that? What if you mess up?? 

-fear builded up inside you, but Kokichi took your hands in his and you looked at him confused.

-then he started making some weird grimaces with his face.

-you couldn't help but laugh and your fear slowly vanished.

-Kokichi is pretty awkward sometimes and  he doesn't quite know how to cheer people up… 

-so he just tries to make them laugh or distract them somehow to help them feel better, but he would never admit that. He is an evil supreme leader after all!

-and so you would meet his family soon. Something you always wanted and Kokichi finally decided to open this last door in his heart. 

-You were so touched and happy to be trusted like this- you hugged him tightly. Kokichi laughed and patted your back. 

-"Wow, s/o are you soooo madly in love with me that you can't wait to meet my family?" he obviously tried to tease you.

-"yes, yes I am" you answered and Kokichi grew stiff for a second- seems like you startled him with that comment. You chuckled.

-Kokichi just huffed, not daring to pull back from the hug and you guessed that he was probably blushing right now.

-Cute~ you thought and smiled to yourself in his arms.

-time passed fast and today was the day you would finally get to know your boyfriend's family. 

-You were nervous and excited- a pretty bad mixture of emotions, to be honest.

-"hey, s/o close your eyes!" Kokichi took your hand in his and smiled. You were confused, but did what he wanted you to do.

-a few seconds passed until you could hear quiet whispers. 

-"Now, you can open your eyes" you did like he said and- 

-"TA-DA! These are the most important members of DICE! or how I like to call them-" you interrupted Kokichi's speech.

-"your family" you finished his sentence and Kokichi laughed. 

-"Nishishi! Ding ding ding! You're right! 100 points for s/o" he joked, but you could tell that he was just as nervous as you were.

-you smiled friendly. "Nice to meet you all! I'm s/o! I hope we will get along well!" and before you count to three all the members surrounded you, asking questions. 

-Wow, wow that's a lot- you thought, but Kokichi cut them off.

-"Oh my god! Don't act like immature kids-"

-"said the immature kid" you teased and Kokichi gasped.

"How DARE you, s/o! YOU'RE SO MEAN!! WAHHH!" Kokichi loudly fake cried and you patted his head

-"That doesn't work on me, idiot" you said, before kissing his cheeks and shutting him up like that.

- The Dice members stared at you and started to clap in their hands. 

"You're so cool, s/o!!"

"Normally, everyone falls for the leaders tricks!"

"You're really special"

-They all talked at the same time and you had little issues to follow who was talking, but they all seemed to be pretty nice.

-Suddenly they all started bowing in front of you and you almost jumped in surprise.

-What is happening??

-"Please take good care of our leader! He always does crazy stuff on his own" 

-"wait, what's happening?" you asked confused and looked back at Kokichi who surprised the same way you were.

"Please, become our leader's husband!" they continued and now it clicked. They were proposing to you- for Kokichi. 

-you chuckled. "Guys, guys! Let's get to know each other first and see how everything works out then we can talk about marriage and stuff" you explained with a smile, but to be honest the thought about a proposal from Kokichi made your heart race. 

-"Jeez! You're all acting like I would never propose in my whole life! Do you all think so lowly about me? Seriously- someday I WILL propose to s/o, but first I want to learn about every side they have and also show all of my sides- urgh…nevermind, that sounded really cringy, forget it" Kokichi tried to change the topic, but you were too deep in thoughts already.

-Someday you thought with a smile. Someday.

-well, the dice members loved you so much like?? They didn't even wanted you to leave and that warmed your heart. 

-before leaving you and Kokichi got a big fat group hugging session from them and you needed to promise to come visit whenever you could.
