Stellaris

How about a Stellaris mod that watches all the empires in the game and when one of them gets a little too high and mighty spawns some kind of disaster, like a bunch of pirates or, not crises, but some kind of similar thing. Could just be regular events in the games, like the machine uprising or a slave revolt or something. But it just automatically keeps all the empires at the same levels of everything.

This would be a great prank to play on your friends. Everybody logs in to play and you start playing a game with each other and it just goes on and on and on and then you realize that you guys have been playing for like a year and you're still playing the same game and everybody is freaking out. I wonder how long it would take for somebody to figure it out

The Intro : Hello & Welcome to my blog, this new blog is a sims blog I hope and pray isn't a one time thing and causes me to end it's lifespan because my game crashes sometimes or rarely.

But thankfully I've been recently playing the sins 2 on my pc through a downloaded Ultimate Collection version, I can totally see the reason why ppl and true sims players/fans say Sims 2 is the most fun and fan-favorite of the franchise!

But why pray tell is it better and what was my experience playing it comparing it my other old sims game I love equally as 2 like The Sims 3 then let's find out..

Pt 1 : "The Lore"

"So The Sims 2 was released back in 2007 and I was only 6 during that year, and I sadly never gotten to discover the sims since I guess I was always out with my family, or had school or stupid homework to do. But now cut to 25 years(Sims Franchise) and for myself 23 years later(my current age as a 2000s-Gen Z person) and I've discovered this all mighty and amazing lore ridden and obsessively fun af game!"

"Now my first time playing, Sims 2 I was really impressed by just how cool it is, the lore for each base game world but mainly I'll pick 2 for this post on this blog : Pleasantview & Strangetown are very very fun. But if I had to chose it would be most definitely strangetown"

Anyways back to the lore, the lore for each household or sim families in this game entry is insanely good, like movie quality or TV series good it's too damn obsessive for my melo-dramatic and crazy lore loving self as a writer of my own stories!

For Pleasantview it's about 25 years later, the town had changed and mainly there's a few families that got cool and funny lore to them like the pleasant family, the oldie family(yes that's literary their family name and their related to the former family) and my personal favorite The Goths! I love their lore, I think by now if you told anyone who has never played the sims or has as a true die hard fan that hates and despises EA as a greedy lame as f*ck company with only care about making the mediocre sims 4 as a game entry then you'll somewhat know the goth family and the missing Bella Goth lore or just plain a noob to it all.

But basically Mortimer is a older man who's grieving over his missing wife Bella whom the latter was abducted by aliens one night and never came back, and now with Cassandra Goth his daughter whom was left I guess insane and heartbroken by Don Lonthario who left her at the altar during their wedding day at their house! And is the playboy of the town, and with little Alexander Goth still way too young to understand his family is broken apart by their mother's disappearance. It's absolutely amazing how the lore for this family is set up but let's get to the real and most fun family I've been playing a bunch, in a small deserted town called Strangetown!

*Family Drama and Player Choice interactions*

"The Drama in each town of the sims 2 is really fun and there's so many interactions I've never thought they had even ones unlocked with mods that are just *chefs kiss* like there's a cute tuck in to bed one, or when your sims are dating(sims 4 wishes it could have these cute things without the use of mods) your sims could sit down and you'll see little icons i.e a chair icon of which interactions your sim couple could do, and once fully unlocked you can use those interactions anytime! That's really freaking cool to me and it's all in base game and you will need every pack so thankfully I'm over the moon about interactions like couple dates, weddings and other things(only thing is there's no holidays only items that let your sims celebrate those holidays but thankfully there's a few holiday or anniversary mods I have in my game which I'm super blessed my computer didn't blow up at all while having them and it didn't cause my game to crash)

Anyways, other than those kind of interactions there's modded ones, I loved the creator squinge who's mods are super fun, there's poses but their called pose boxes? Which I think that's a neat name for them where of course you can use your sims to pose them if your a storyteller like me, tbh I like just to do a click and pause routine of a interaction with my sims for good takes!

And with storytelling there's a adorable book/diary where you can write plenty stories about the course of your sim familys lives and more it's super underrated feature that i wish more sims games had(looking at you sims 4, ugh you disgust me)

*The Characters*

"Each and Every Character in the sims 2 is so damn interesting, and fun to play with even making your own in CAS but you sadly can only use cas once in the create a family box on the bottom left corner of when opening any world you choose and after that you can't do it again but if your a mods player that plays plenty mods to customize and make the most average sims in base game default looks get tha✨️ glow up then your one of the luckiest people ever and I love you but if you like the base game stuff you can use that's fine too!

But however there's also the actual characters themselves and each one I love in Strangetown the most just because of how edgy, dark, sad, mysterious and overall well strange it is. There's about 6 families and yet I've only played one which is the inter-galatic, inter-racial family of The Smith Family!

The Smith Family is the most fun I've ever had with in my game, and I love they are somewhat parodying that classic "American Dream Suburbian Family" from the 40s and 50s only difference is one is a alien, one of the children are a half alien-human breed. But the family all are very sweet and I've portrayed them as a happy "normal" loving family that suffers tragedy as the rest of strangetown did.

*In my gameplay, The Smiths aren't doing their best they went through a lot together as a family but now with a few deaths that happened to siblings Johnny Smith & his sister Jill Smith they were very distant. Pollination Tech #9 Smith or just called P9 as a definitive needed name change and his wife Jenny Smith both tragically died while swimming in their pool at their elder stages of their lives they both died together drowning to their untimely deaths*

*After the death of both of their parents, Jill moved on and kept in touch with her older brother but it wasn't just them suffering but their friends of the Grunt Household with Tank, Ripp and Buck Grunt all suddenly going through the recent loss of their only living parent, their dear father General Buzz Grunt, with Tank being head de facto of the Household and taking care of his younger brothers*

"So Now it's currently the 2nd generation of Strangetown being the Kids I use for the storytelling. The Smiths & The Grunts.

The Smiths Family(Gen 2 Lives, YA to A lifestyles)

-P9 and Jenny are Deceased aswell as their youngest daughter dying before them in a satellite crashing on her.

-Jill Smith(new last name after marrying Ava Cavandara being now Jill Danielle Smith Cavandara and will soon have a baby boy or girl in the future as wives.

-Johnny Smith(still single and trying to get back with Ripp Grunt), is currently at Canyon Cactus University(a custom hood college I added into my game!), is trying to find a major that fits him so he can maturely graduate and not cheat in slightest aswell as get Ripp to be his college roommate.

The Grunt Family

-Lyla Grunt(Buzz's late wife, their 3 sons biological mother been deceased)

-Buzz Grunt himself is next nearing death in the face with a strong willed pride to his 3 boys he's raised as a "not so great" father.

-Tank still resides at the house, along with his Dad Buzz & his younger middle brother Ripp Grunt while the youngest brother Buck Grunt is currently in the same college as Ripp's ex boyfriend/past fling that's trying to reconnect with him.

-Ripp still lives at the big house with his father Buzz and older brother Tank. Currently going through a breakup phase with Johnny, wanting to try and talk things out while he's in CCU. His younger brother Buck as a small opportunity to getting him to talk to him while so far away from his old home.

-Buck is in ccu with Johnny Smith, he used to love Cassie and planned a date with her but now their gone and has been lonely and depressed ever since. Is still loving to his brothers and dad, misses them and unaware of what majors he's wanting to try out at college.. and knows his brother ripp is begging to hear Johnny's voice again and plans on helping him while rookies with the young alien male.

And that's the story for both families so far, Im focusing on Johnny's side for now with trying to get him and Buck to get along, become best friends and with Johnny calling Ripp as a way to try and get back together with his past lover with Ophelia Nigmos now married to Pascal Curious!.

Tasting Notes

Everytime I spin I learn something. The first thing I learned tonight was show up earlier, and make sure the gear is in working order. Second thing I learned was that I need to learn about the board. Still, I made fewer technical errors than ever before, and some of the segues were quite good. But, the baseline is: did you do damage to the vibe?

The opening was fraught with technical miscues, bad volume control, but thanks to Julie, we got things ironed out, and the set proceeded apace. And, it was busy. The barstaff were running hard all night, and the Treasure Valley Roller Derby showed up post match in full force. Those people know how to get down.

Stayed close to the familiar in the early going, just trying to get my feet underneath me. Horror Grace and Nicky Mustard were there early, and left early to go eat. I didn't play anything earlier than 1974, and Mustard only listens to things made before 1967. So they made a wise move. They missed the Booker T record I played late.

Dj Dusty C and DJ Brose came by and said hi, and Miss Allanna Love took my drink orders. Which kind of took my breath away. Minerva occupied a place on the bar for a couple of hours as well, so there was a high celebrity count in the house.

I had intended to downshift between 1 and 2, and I kind of did, but Cyberjewel asked me to keep the tempo up, since the bar staff was flagging and tired after a brisk and lively night. As you know, I don't take requests. I'm limited in the number of records I can bring to the booth, and I kind of have a good idea what to do, but I really don't hate hearing what people want to hear. It gives me ideas, and helps me read the crowd. And, it may put in motion record aquisition strategies for subsequent sets.

In any case, I did use the last hour to experiment a little bit, play less familiar tracks, and new things that I have, just to see how they play on the system. That is a continual process. Some records, while enjoyable to listen to in other settings don't jump off the turntables, and cut through the noise. And, some things work better at other times in the set, depending on what you play before or after. For instance, the Nappy Roots track I played didn't work in the place I put it. And I didn't eq it right either. I have played it before, and it has worked. Last night it didn't. Oh well.

I got some new (to me) compilations, The Dollar Bill, Y'all collection of the first decade of rap records from Beat Goes Public, and the Life Between Islands compilation on Soul Jazz. Both are amazing. I played a couple tracks apiece from them, and will hit more as I get into it. I also got the Disco Reggae Rockers compilation in the mix. IGA turned me on to that, and I played Flight To Jamaica in his honor, even though he is thousands of miles away.

That Anadol record was a real reach for me. And it worked where I placed it. Plague Vendor is a weird SO CAL band that play short songs, the singer yelps, and they kick it. I like it, people are mystified. The new EBTG is killer. I played one of the two uptempo-ish tracks to good effect. And that Marshall Watson record is one of my favorites this year!

Next set is August 19th. Hope to have some fresh 7" records in the box. Maybe we see you there.

Hajime had already has his suspicion at first, when he asked you whether you want to hang out with him to the beach today. You definetly hesitated a long time.

And this suspicion was soon discovered because of some of your actions. You don't want to go near to the sea, you said youre not ready to go swimming. But how you look at the sea is quite obvious.

Also, walking along the seaside is quiet a normal thing to do when you're in a beach, but you refused to do that and just sat down at the sand and starts playing by your own.

That's mighty suspicious. So hajime would ask you if you're afraid of water. Out of pride, of course you'd say no. But in front of hajime? Nope you could only slowly nod your head.

Because if you deny the fact that you're afraid of water, hajime would definitely pull you to the sea and test you. You don't want that-

Hajime sighed as he flicked your forehead with his fingers calling you stupid. He then said that you should've told him earlier, he won't laugh or do anything.

After this incident, he would most likely avoid going to sea areas because he doesn't want you to feel afraid. Especially when riding on a ship if you guys are going anywhere.

He would hug you tight in his arms and not letting you feel the nauseous feeling on the ship. Comforting you as well.

Kokichi would know from the start , he obviously spy on you sometimes and heard you talking over to your friends by phone saying how afraid you are to big oceans and stuff

He would hide it for himself, because he thought maybe some day this will come in handy.

He suggested to go the beach but you obviously rejected it, he knew this was going to happen so he then change another suggestion to go on a "blind date"

He'll use a cloth to cover your eyes and bring you to whatever places he desire. You hesitated but as long as it's not places to the water, you'll be fine

He then bring you to the beach, when you guys are about to touch the sand, kokichi swiftly carries you and bring you to the sea, running.

You panic, as the cloth tied to your head came off and yous aw the scenery if the beach, you're about to yell at kokichi but he ttold you that it's fine, he'll be by your side.

He's actually using his own way to make you overcome your fear, he slowly puts you down to the water and you felt the breezing feel of the water going across your legs, he held your hand and proceed to go further

As you go further and further, your anxiety goes up and up and up, you were afraid. But with kokichi's hands held yours tightly , you continue on

Finally the water raises into your chest and you started to be more and more afraid, you hugged kokichi as tight as you can, hoping nothing will happen.

Suddenly he stops, and pats your head at the same time, telling you everything is alright now.

He want to know everything about you, small info or bug info, he didn't even got to know this big info of yours, how could he even claim himself as your partner?

He already had a hunch, just like hajime, due to your weird actions. But Doubting one's own partner is such a hopeless thing to do! So he decided not to take his own hunch that seriously.

He wants to hear it out from your own mouth, so he'll try a lot of Opportunity to let you admit the truth. Basically it all failed but Nagito never gives up. He truly believe his luck on that hunch he got after all.

But then just one day, he asked you fi you want to live with him in a house on the seaside.

You obviously declined, which actually made him sad, he stated that maybe you just don't want to live with a trash like him, he understands.

But then you quickly denied his statement and said that there's other reasons. This time Nagito took this opportunity and Plan to trick you into telling the truth.

He asked you several questions about the situation and he finally get you to say it out by yourself.

He smiled as he shuffled his hand into your hair, telling you that this isn't something you should be ashamed of.

He then will teach you how to swim just to overcome your fears. Don't worry, Mr Komaeda would be very gentle towards you, you are his hope after all.

Izuru knows, from the very beginning, with all that actions you've made, it's not hard to tell actually, for him specifically though. I mean he is the ultimate hope after all.

Things that will make his s/o afraid? Oh.. this thing shouldn't exist. That's what he though, so whenever you got close to any water related thing, he'll just hides you from it, sometimes even wreck that thing over

You sometimes questions his action but continue your life anyway, untill things get wrong.

You want to brush your teeth and gargle the foam out, but when you're about to turn on the water pipe, izuru immediately close your eyes with his both hands and tell you not to look

Soon you figured out that he found out you aquaphobia, This situation really makes you dumbfounded. You then explain to him that you're only afraid when a big amount of water splashes to your way.

Izuru awkwardly apologize but he is still over protective- no beach date allowed, none of them. NONE

Summary: Misty has a traumafic flashback while sitting outside during a celebratory bonfire with the coven. Cordelia takes care of her after an accident occurs.

A/N: Okay I haven’t posted a one shot here yet, but I thought i’d try! Here’s one i’m cross posting from wattpad :) I hope you enjoy! (also, the spacing is a bit different here than on wattpad so idk how to make it looks not funky :/) this also hasn’t been edited heavily so i’m sorry for mistakes!

TW: traumatic stress

Misty sat atop the scratchy log, leaned forward with her chin rested in her hands, watching the glowing fire fade in color from white to yellow to orange and back again as it grew in height and intensity. She was completely transfixed by it. She thought she would be okay, it had been years since the incident and she'd been exposed to fire many times since, but something about tonight, here with the coven in celebration, set something in her on fire. Like she was reliving it all over again, and she was unable to look away; so Misty stayed there on that log, for god knows how long, staring at the roaring fire.

The voices of all her friends and the music floating through the air simply white noise to her. She couldn't help but want to reach out and grasp it. She needed to feel it again. Maybe it was all in her head, just the trauma, as Myrtle had explained to her some time ago, playing tricks on her mind. She couldn't help but think that was mighty cruel of her brain. Still, the fire seemed to call her name. Over and over, it started off soft, but grew. Louder and louder and louder. She needed to feel it again.

Things had been going far too well for her as of late. She survived her own personal hell for gods sake. Misty shuddered at the remembrance of the place. Cold and the air stale, surrounded by children made to think it was acceptable to cut open one of God's lovely creations. She refused to do such a thing, and paid the price for it. Over and over. Yet she survived, escaped through the antichrist and thrown back into an apocalyptic world right into the arms of her Cordelia. The only place she felt truly safe was in her arms.

So why; why was that blistering hot flame calling her name so dearly. Why did she yearn to feel that awful sensation again. Myrtle understood, she had been through it as well. Maybe she would just get up and go find Myrtle right now, tell her these feelings; but the calling was just too strong.

Slowly, she sat up from her position, hand stretching out to feel the white flames calling her name. Ever so close, the heat more and more intense- "MISTY?!" she was instantly snapped from her trance, falling straight to the ground at the sudden realization that her hand was in agony.

Immediately she was in the arms of Cordelia as she whispered a spell to stop the pain and stop the burn from getting any worse. Cordelia let go of Misty and held her head in her hands, tears springing uncontrollably from her eyes. How could she be so careless; to leave Misty alone like this. She knew better. "You're okay, you're safe. I'm right here," Cordelia stared into Misty's eyes and Misty crashed back into Cordelia's arms, her head in the crook of Cordelia's neck, breathing in the familiar scent as Cordelia stroked her hair, rocking them softly back and forth and whispering ever so softly, "Oh my Misty, my sweet girl, I love you, I love you."

Cordelia was in the greenhouse searching for a jar of Louisiana mud that Misty had brought back from her swamp house when they visited it together a few weeks back. She knew it was somewhere here, she had just seen Misty use a bit for a blooming spell and set it right back in its proper place... but it was gone. Cordelia grew more and more impatient as the seconds ticked by and she knew Misty was alone in their room. She felt utterly stupid leaving Misty alone after promising her not too long ago she wouldn't do that again, to the best of her ability of course. But Misty was exhausted, and Cordelia knew this, so when Misty fell peacefully asleep after being escorted from the party outside up to their room, and into their comfy bed, Cordelia quickly slipped out. Misty always said that Louisiana mud could do anything and Cordelia knew this was true. There was a certain magic to believing in something, and she knew if she could just find this damn mud... maybe she could help Misty even more.

"What're ya lookin' for?" Cordelia recognized the voice immediately and swung around meeting face the face with a tired looking Misty. "Why are you awake, and out of bed?" Cordelia answered Misty's question with a question. "You weren't there, I knew you'd be here." Misty calmly replied, taking in every inch of her girlfriend's face. "Don't feel bad for leavin'. I didn't freak out none when I woke up or nothin'" Misty calmed Cordelia's nerves and swore she could almost hear a sigh of relief from the older witch. "I'm really glad, Misty, do you have any idea where that Louisiana mud of yours might be then?" Cordelia wishfully asked.

"Uh, yeah, I thin' it's in that cabinet ov'r there," Misty pointed to the far right of the greenhouse in a small cabinet under a giant potted plant with green vines spilling out the sides. Cordelia walked over and opened the cabinet, immediately finding the mud. "Wow Mist, what would I do without you, huh?" Cordelia laughed softly. "Let's go back upstairs so I can take care of you okay?" Misty nodded at Cordelia's request and took her hand in her own, Cordelia holding the mud with her other hand tightly pressed to her chest.

"Sh, it's okay, love." Cordelia cooed as Misty cried quietly while Cordelia wrapped her wounds. "I know it hurts, it'll be okay soon. Louisiana mud fixes everything, remember? You taught me that." Cordelia stopped wrapping Misty's hand and wiped a tear rolling down her cheek.

Misty nodded "Yer right, it does." Cordelia smiled as she finished with Misty's hand and stood up, picking up all her supplies. "I'll be right back okay? Do you want to come with me to put all of this back or do you want to stay here, i'll only be 2 minutes top."

Misty thought for a moment, "I'll be okay here. I'm too tired to move any more." Cordelia modded. "One minute then, love." and left the room, all her supplies cradled in her arms. Misty waited patiently for her girlfriend as she fiddled with the cloth wrapped around her hand.

How could she been so stupid? She worried Cordelia sick by touching the fire like that. She shouldn't have let her thoughts get to her like that. But it was different that time, she felt like she was almost in a trance. Too lost in her thoughts to control her behavior. She didn't know if she could've stopped herself if she wanted too... or how long she would've touched the fire for if no one else was around to stop her. But Cordelia was right, the pain wasn't there anymore. The tears still ran down her cheeks, but her hand wasn't throbbing, she couldn't even feel a thing.

"Okay, cuddle time?" Cordelia entered their room again, shutting the door behind her. Misty nodded, crawling under the covers and holding them up so Cordelia could climb in as well, and she did just that.

Thirty seconds later and they were cuddled up, Misty in Cordelia's arms and drifting in and out of sleep. "Get some rest love, you're okay. I'm right here." Cordelia whispered and kissed Misty's head. That was all Misty needed to hear, and she was out like a light, Cordelia falling not too far behind.

Mod Angie! Mod Angie! Atua has whispered something to me! The Mighty Atua told me to request a scenario where Shuichi, Kokichi, and Tsumugi's (gender neutral) s/o is framed for murder like Naegi, and their reactions when they come back? Pretty please?

To be honest I never understood what happened back in THH but still I worked with what I could come up with I guess?

This case was suspicious from start to finish but the ending result was something he whouldn't expect.

He was shocked but couldn't do much. He tried to try to fight it but it was no use.

He was apologizing to you thinking it was his fault that it ended like this.

But you knew it wasn't the end just yet. Even though your fate was certain there was a small bit of luck that saved you.

Still none saw that you survived yet none seen you die either. Wich was what led Shuichi to have tiny bit of hope and he looked around.

At the same time he was pretty pessimistic about the whole situation... He thought that it wasn't possible for you to survive but he never stopped investigating.

His efforts paid back after he saw you again he was concerned about your well being and immediately asked if you were okay.

Part of him didn't believe it was true but soon enough he changed his mind.

Kokichi Ouma

He thought it was pretty much impossible for you to kill and it was pretty annoying that it was just like monokuma wanted to get rid of you.

Kokichi was pretty calm considering he knew that it was impossible that you were the blackened.

So when you ended up guilty he was pretty shocked still didn't show any specific reaction.

But you knew he felt sad you knew he tried to stay strong for you and so what you thought was your last conversation was just like any other.

He didn't wanted to believe it and in the end he was right since during execution you had your opening for escape. Still he couldn't see whether you succeeded or not.

But he tried to look for some kind of sign that you were alive. He began to investigate every single place.

As the time passed you managed to find your way out of where you were trapped and first thing you did was find Kokichi... But he was actually the one who found you.

He was quite pissed that mastermind punished you even though it wasn't you.

But he quickly collected himself and came up with another plan. Mastermind had to pay for it.

Tsumigi Shirogane

She tried to save you but whatever she said made things even worse.

Even though both of you knew that it wasn't you she tried to help you but it just wasn't anyhow easy.

And when you were about to be executed she felt like she was about to cry her eyes out. She apologized to you so many times for screwing it up.

But in the end you managed to escape your death much to your surprise.

It took you a while but you were back and Tsumigi at first thought you were a ghost and freaked out. Yet you let her know that you were very much alive.

She couldn't be more happy about this fact but was more surprised on how it was possible.

You explained everything to her and for her it was enough. Surprisingly enough she didn't question anything after she just asked how you could even be alive.

I’m making a new game!

Hi! I’m bonickhausen, and I’m the guy who tried to create SBURB, a Homestuck fangame. Some of you might’ve seen it before!

I’m a 21 year old programmer who currently lives in Brazil.

I spent a year working on the game, programming and drawing and writing, before realizing that I, like every other person in the planet, needed money. I tried contacting WhatPumpkin to see if they could help me, but that didn’t work out. 

I loved Homestuck, but as it belongs to Andrew Hussie, I’d never be able to make a game about it and earn some cash at the end of the day to buy some food and pay the rent. It broke my heart, but I had to do something. I love creating videogames and I want to work with games until the day I die.

So I decided to create my own little thing. My own little universe.

BULLETIN is an “action turn-based RPG” about INTERNET FORUMS, inspired by awesome stuff like:

My goal with this game is to show people how the internet can change an individual’s life, for better or for worse.

I didn’t know how to draw (still don’t!) and anatomy still freaks me the fuck out, but I think I came up with a rather... “unique” art style:

Because of Bulletin, I started studying harder, I began to look into things I’d never considered before, such as MUSIC...

and ANIMATION...

and DRAWING!

WHAT IS YOUR GOAL?

I want to release a demo of the game by July and fire up campaigns for Kickstarter/Steam Greenlight to get the game done.

Boosted: Rno’s wild turbocharged Honda CBX 1000

We love the big, bruising superbikes of the late 70s and early 80s. They were fast, brash and good-looking—and their riders often had more skidmarks than Lewis Hamilton’s driveway.

So we always keep an eye out for good superbike restomods, and Arno Overweel of Rno Cycles has just delivered a cracker with this turbocharged Honda CBX.

In continental Europe, Arno is a household name in the custom scene. His bikes are often extreme and impractical, but this one is different. The styling is subtle, and the pyrotechnics are focused on the mechanical side.

“The client saw my work at a show and he was very enthusiastic,” says Arno. “We started talking about a CBX that he’d owned from a very early age. It was an American model, with the odometer in miles.”

“The bike had been customized before, with a chromed frame and a turbo kit, but it’d been in storage for a while—and time had left its mark, in the form of rust.”

The client wanted his CBX back on the road, but Arno’s heart lies in custom bike building rather than restoration. “Restoration is simply not my passion,” he says. “But a technical and optical upgrade of a CBX seemed like a challenge, so my question was: where is the limit?”

Arno and his client were soon on the same page. “We both became more enthusiastic. In our heads, the bike was already built: a number plate up front, an aggressive short seat, and modern brakes. The deal was sealed and I finally got to work with a powerful CBX!”

The CBX was the flagship of the Honda range between 1978 and 1982, a superbike with a 1,047 cc 24-valve, air-cooled inline six fed by six carburetors. With 105 hp on tap, it had a top speed comfortably in excess of 130 mph, with some reports citing 140 mph (225 km/h).

This machine goes one step better. It’s got a turbo kit from American Turbo Pack, a mod that was available to speed freaks back in the day. The turbo is a compact Rajay unit, and it breathes through a simple but effective Bendix carb. (The practicalities of tuning six Keihin VB28s for forced induction do not bear thinking about.)

Everything still works well, and the sound apparently generates goose bumps. “At a certain speed, the six-cylinder really begins to howl,” says Arno.

To keep the mighty motor running sweet, Arno installed a Setrab oil cooler (hooked up with Goodridge hoses), a Procom igniter set to boost the sparks, and a new alternator from a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R, fitted via a custom adaptor plate.

What Arno didn’t like was the back end of the CBX. “There was a huge seat with a ridiculous big taillight, which looked out of proportion with the narrow rear wheel. The front also needed better proportions.”

Arno decided to respect the 70s styling, but also update it to modern times—taking it from classic superbike to modern muscle bike. “The CBX would get a more brutal look as well.”

He’s installed a Fireblade swingarm that is a bit longer than the standard CBX item. “I wanted a more open, modern and transparent look. So I also turned it into a monoshock set-up,” says Arno. He’s used a Showa shock in a Pro-link setup.

“The diagonal tube under the seat was removed, so all the electronic components and the battery had to move. The electrics are now under the fuel tank and the battery is in the tail.”

The tail end was shortened, which makes the swingarm look even longer, and the 190-section Aprilia RSV Mille rear wheel even bigger.

To beef up the front end, Arno has mounted Öhlins forks—again from an RSV Mille—along with triple trees from an Aprilia Tuono. The client did not want clip-ons, so Arno opted for more comfortable Motacc superbike bars on Rizoma risers.

Right ahead is the AMA Superbike racing-style number plate, which holds a pair of small LED lights. The ’57’ logo was designed by Arno’s brother Jeroen: “57 is the ‘year of construction’ of the owner!” Arno reveals.

The CBX’s character is largely determined by the fuel tank, so Arno wanted to keep it. “I didn’t like the filler cap, so I welded a Rizoma racing cap in it. Some people will think, ‘What a lot of work for a filler cap’, but this bike just needed it.”

The engine didn’t need any work—and certainly doesn’t need any more power. The exhaust system upstream from the turbo plumbing is the original American Turbo-Pack unit, but Arno crafted new plumbing downstream. It now snakes between the subframe supports and terminates in a simple muffler.

Arno also replaced many components with modern counterparts—like Pazzo levers, Motogadget m.blaze blinkers and an Acewell LCD multi-function speedo. He also removed the large round ‘pancake’ air cleaner that blocked the view of the beautiful carburetor and Turbo, replacing it with a compact sport air filter.

The striking paint is the handiwork of local specialist Ben Oud. “With Ben, you always know that it’ll works out,” says Arno. “I wanted an angular 70s style, in the Honda red, white and blue. And there had to be a black stripe on top of the fuel tank—which I’ve seen on a concept bike from Honda.”

Arno suggested flat colors and sponsor stickers, but Ben had better ideas. He also added a touch of glitter to the paint for extra impact, and figured out the best position for the logo.

“He chose the most difficult option—a wing over the tank bulge,” says Arno. “He’s a real professional.”

Ben even painted the seat base before it went to Marcel Miller for the foam and upholstery. Arno elected to mix up the tuck ‘n roll pattern with some diamond stitching.

Unlike some of Arno’s previous builds, the CBX is ‘reasonably comfortable’ and practical. “Everything works properly, and the sound is fantastic!” he reports. “You can hear that it’s a six-cylinder.”

Arno’s managed to take the already monstrous CBX into even wilder territory—without losing an ounce of its retro appeal. We’d ask for a test ride if we weren’t genuinely scared of it.
