AxA 2023 Clothing Collection (For The Sims 3)

After many laborious days of sitting hunched over my laptop like a molerat... she's hereee! I converted the clothing ONLY (i'll leave the accessories for another day...), and included all of the belted/non-belted/patterned/graphic/solid variations as well. Not all of the original shirt graphics are included due to the amount of work it was, so I settled on about 6-9 of my favorite swatches each.

Also I just wanted to mention that, like always, the teen versions were giving me trouble so there may be seams on some of the items. If you notice any other issues tho, please mention them to me! This was a lot of stuff to convert so sometimes things slip through the cracks😞

The Leo tee was converted by me previously, so if you already have it make sure to delete it before downloading this!

updated 11/09/2024: a few people have said the alek skirt was causing the game to crash. Although I haven't experienced this, I still went ahead and remade the skirt from scratch. The texture looks a bit better this time and no seams are present on the teen version. Please replace!

updated 06/10/2024: there was a bug in which having the merged file in your mods folder would cause crashing when sending sims to university. I've removed the merged options from both this and the axa 2021 collection. please make sure you have the individual packages and not the merged one(s)!

updated 06/02/2024: fixed the multipliers on the layla top and max/sam sweatpants, color should be less blinding now. Please completely delete any of the old files and replace them with the new ones!

Hello. I'm new to modding my WoL and is Xiv archive the only place where I can find outfits for my WoL? I've been looking but most are paid on patron or Kofi and I can't afford to spare money :(

Unfortunately at the moment, besides XMA and heliosphere, there's no real obvious source for mods besides modders who put their content in discord or trello (mostly because they don't want to use XMA). I have my opinions on the state of modding these days but with how volatile the topic can get, I'm choosing not to comment on it.

I can, however, recommend some creators who do frequently release free mods. Bear in mind, I main a fem-based character, so my mods are aimed to models that use a fem-based body model (such as bibo, YAB, muse, etc)

These are some of my go-to for modders who, while do paid work, also release their work for free at some point, or even release free mods right out of the gate.

Also a note: if a creator uses YAB/YaRue/Lavabod/LaRue, they are obligated to release paid mods after a max period of 3 months, so always expect YAB-based mods to be free at some point (Aleks HAS been very clear about this and does not play around)

Liability - More for gothic attire, but caters to MULTIPLE body morphs for both bibo AND TBSE; their mods are usually only paywalled for 2-3 months before going free.

Solona - Solona mods mainly for bibo-based bodies, and at one point did paid mods exclusively for charity; after retiring and then returning, they now only do "paid" early access a la boosting their discord server. Their "paid" mods are usually locked behind nitro for at most a week before being put out for free. They primarily upload to heliosphere. Solona has also been updating their popular older works for Dawntrail.

Miette - Miette is a paid modder but she ALWAYS releases at least 3 free mods from her patreon a month for free (basically every month she puts three mods on her patreon, and then puts three out for free). Every month you're guaranteed at least one hair mod and two outfits for YAB, but she also allows ports to other bodies so expect some creator to possibly pick it up. Miette has been slowly going back as well to update their older works to work with Dawntrail, some even having dual-dyability after the update.

Alee - Like the creators above, Alee is a paid modder, BUT uses YAB-based bodies, so they always put at least 1-2 outfits out per month. They not only cater to fem-presenting bodies, but also use MUSE with AFAB/AMAB options for further customization. They've also been updating their older mods to work with Dawntrail.

Reiry - Reiry does the occasional port but does a lot of vanilla mashups, meaning they are free right out of the gate. While I don't use many vanilla mashups, I personally like a lot of their works for the aesthetics and think they do amazing work.

Cammy - Another vanilla mashup modder; I honestly fell in love with Cammy's work after they created their "Constellation" dress; they primarily mod for tall fems, but I like how they create such unique outfits with vanilla models.

Thornguts - Thornguts primarily works on masc-based models but some of their vanilla mashups as of late has honestly been making me want to get into modding a male character; also I cannot deny I am an absolute simp for the aesthetics they're putting out.

Chaosgremlin - Chaosgremlin has been absolutely killing it recently with cosmetic mods; they frequently put out not only makeup mods but eyebrow/eyelash retextures, eye textures, port hair, etc. And all of it for free; the only payment they take are for commissions and tips/donations. And to top it all off; their cosmetic mods are also made with POC/dark-skinned characters in mind

Khloris - Khloris is a vanilla-mashup creator I've recently been getting into; they make a lot of fem-based mods that are your typical cutesy/pastel lolita-doll aesthetic, but no less impressive to look at.

There's FAR more creators out there who do release mods for free, or who freely mod entirely, but these are just some of the ones I use and go to; I highly encourage other folks to tag in other creators who mod for free/do free releases as well if you know of any.

■ Main Story

“Please save the world.” …This case begins with a single e-mail. It arrived in the mailbox of Neon Nanashiki, the “Gaming Chair Detective,” straight from an in-development full-dive VR game. Filled with curiosity, Neon gets to work hacking into the unfinished title. When Neon manages to log into the game, Rust Tactics, he meets a lone young woman. “Ancie,” [ahn-see] a developer on the game, was investigating powerful data run rampant inside the virtual world—Mad Obstructive Data, or MODs for short. Neon is not one to turn down a case, and accepts without hesitation. He promises Ancie to fix RT’s world, and ventures into the dangerous MOD Dungeons investigate. As the two begin to restore order to RT’s world, they find strange data in the dungeons, called “Error Fragments.” Suddenly, a mysterious man called “Selevan Nanakt” appears to steal the fragments from them. Nanakt disappears as suddenly as he arrived, and uses the Error Fragments to create a MOD Dungeon in the real world. Selevan Nanakt (voiced by Jack Ayres in English)

A mysterious man who suddenly appears in RT’s world. He steals the Error Fragments that Neon has found and uses their power to open up a “security hole,” a dimensional rift, creating a new MOD Dungeon. Nanakt seems to know something about the MOD phenomena that Neon is investigating… He wishes to “overwrite the world” using the Error Fragments.

RiTa (voiced by Jackie Lastra in English)

A powerful MOD in the form of a young woman, summoned by Nanakt. Her song has the power to interfere with reality itself. RiTa has no will of her own and moves solely on Nanakt’s command.

■ Game System: Subjugation

Get acquainted with Card-en-Ciel‘s card-battling gameplay by watching the gameplay trailer! Today, we’ll introduce a key system in Card-en-Ciel‘s gameplay: Area Subjugation.

♦ Clear Out a Room and Reap the Rewards!

Eradicate all enemies from any room in the dungeon, and you’ll get a choice of 3 different rewards.

♦ Recovery

Recovery will restore a portion of your HP.

There are very few ways to restore your HP during a dungeon, and this is the most reliable.

♦ Position

Choose a card from your deck or a Muse you have acquired to position them in the dungeon room.

—Having an ally on the field will grant you a bonus while battling in nearby rooms.

When you choose a Muse to position, they will perform from the very beginning of battle in nearby rooms, granting their powerful passive bonus and Special Skill energy immediately. Any cards you Position will be temporarily removed from your deck and will return when moving to the next floor.

♦ Enhance

Choose this to apply a “Cheat Code” to one of three random cards in your deck. Cheat Codes are powerful additional effects that apply not only to the card you choose, but also every copy of that card in your deck. They can grant additional damage, reduce the card’s playing Cost, or even buff your damage simply by drawing it! You’ll be able to stack up to three Cheat Codes on a single card, so the Enhance option is always useful for powering up your deck.

■ Game System: Dungeon Rewards

Defeat the boss waiting at the end of a dungeon to clear it and earn a slate of rewards. Based on how you clear the dungeon, you’ll accelerate Neon’s growth, unlock new difficulty levels, and progress the main story.

♦ Dungeon Results

Aim for as Few Turns as Possible!

Your goal in each dungeon is defeat the powerful boss waiting at the end. Achieve that, and you’ll see the Results screen where you’ll get your well-earned rewards.

The score you earn at the end of the dungeon is largely determined by how many turns you took in battle. Winning battles in as few turns as possible is certainly important, but skipping battles entirely is an even bigger step to improving your score. This will also let you run through dungeons even faster! However, fight too few battles, and your deck and Muses may not be strong enough to take on the boss and Elite foes awaiting you. Striking this delicate balance will earn you a top score!

Dungeon Rewards

Clearing a dungeon will unlock new difficulty levels.

Higher difficulties will not only increase enemy stats, but also add new and interesting twists to battles with special rules. Earn a high enough score when clearing a dungeon to unlock up to 3 new difficulties at once! Clearing a dungeon will also earn “Decode Tokens” which are used to power up your player character.

Each new difficulty level you tackle means more tokens to earn. You can spend them to improve the odds on every dungeon you tackle, to improve your drop rates, Cheat Codes, HP, and more!

Theme Song: “To the Promised Sky”!

Card-en-Ciel features 50 vocal songs performed by the Muses in-game. These songs are created for the fictional game universes as if they were the real theme songs, battle themes, and endings, all composed in the style and genres of the appropriate eras. Today, we are revealing the theme song of Card-en-Ciel itself, performed by Ancie’s Japanese voice actress, Ruriko Noguchi, with a special music video!

Alek Gwilym in our Curse of Strahd campaign:

We found Strahd's journal in-world, so of course we all read I, Strahd by P. N. Elrod.

We were all pretty taken with Alek Gwilym. But wtf happened to him after he disappeared? (The module apparently doesn't even include him. So our DM took some creative liberties.)

It's so complicated. It's great, but... yikes. It all begins with Vampyr, of course. Vampyr is an evil entity that was able to escape its prison within the Amber Temple by tempting Strahd into the deal that changed him and locked down Barovia.

Alek overheard the ordeal. Strahd ended up killing him, drinking his blood, and locking his body in a closet. Later, Strahd discovered that Alek's body had disappeared.

This is how our campaign addressed what happened next:

Vampyr took Alek's body to use as a puppet. He altered the body to look like a Dusk Elf, and somehow replaced people's memories/knowledge of Alek with... Rahadin. Rahadin has that screamy madness mind thing because it's Vampyr pulling the strings there, and Vampyr is a powerful old entity that snacks on despair. Trying to peek into that mess would drive you crazy.

Okay, so that's Alek's body... and a better role for Rahadin than just a weird Renfield stand-in like he seems to be in the mod book. (I was told there's a part where he eats toads? For like, no actual reason?)

What about Alek's soul? Does it get recycled or something?

In the Amber Temple, there's a clockwork robot guy. He's chained up and broken. We ask him what his name is and he just says "Pain." But we find out it's Alek. It's Alek, tortured and broken and in this weird form, but Vampyr hasn't been able to eat away at his soul like he has with other Barovians.

We find out Alek's soul is protected (to a degree, anyway) by the Traveler. The Traveler is the only deity actually truly present in Barovia, because they're Neutral and travelling is literally Their Thing. You can't keep the Traveler out of anywhere.

It was a really cool thing to find out, because I'm playing a trickster cleric whose patron is the Traveler. It retroactively gave me a cool in-game reason for my absolute craving to find Alek and get him back into the story. Like the Traveler was nudging my cleric toward him.

So, we discovered "Rahadin" is actually Alek's body. We found Alek's soul. And we are on friendly terms with the Abbott near Krezk, who is outright a Celestial entity.

I was wondering how exactly to get Alek's body out of Vampyr's control. How to get Rahadin out in the open again, and how to fight something that was clearly out of our depth...

But I'm happy to report that we did manage it. We are now (finally?) officially on Strahd's shit list for "murdering" his steward, and we're cut off from the towns now, but... Worth It. We're nearing the end game anyway.

As of now, we've brought the pieces of Alek to the Abbott, and asked him if he can put Alek back together. He said it'll take about a week to do it right. (A horribly long time to wait in-world at this point, but again... worth it.)

Alek Gwilym will be resurrected.

My hope is that he will help us defeat Vampyr. That's right. Not Strahd. We're not fighting Strahd. We're going at the root of this thing. We're taking on Vampyr. Honestly, I'm hoping (betting) we can (with Alek's help) get Strahd to fight Vampyr with us. Because Vampyr has been screwing Strahd over since the beginning of all this, too. In his weakest moment, he was driven to murder his most loyal ally. He never gets his "heart's desire". He's as much a victim as the rest of Barovia, despite his power.

It's time to undo what should never have been done.

Vampyr's reign began by Alek Gwilym's death. It will end by Alek Gwilym's life.
