Hello! Love your builds. Wondering where I could find the chandelier from this post, and/or any other cc lighting recommendations you have?

This is probably my weakest part as I have quite a few lighting mods. I usually use the same lamps/candelabras/chandeliers from Felixandresims and TheJim07, which I always try to replace with something more interesting. So I myself am always in search of new beautiful lamps. The chandelier on the screen is from this set by DoroCash.

So uh... How do you feel about Nikol's existence?

I technically shouldn't know who that is yet but... I do. And. Well. You can probably guess by how you worded this ask hahaha.

Not surprised at all, if you like them as a couple then good for you and hope you're enjoying the DLC, you don't need me on your side because they're canon so that can satisfy you content-wise plus my opinions are silly and don't matter, etc etc, all I've said before applies here.

Honestly, if anything, the only unique thing I have to add here* is how his design really demonstrates how much Shulk and Fiora look like siblings lmao. There's even a (really cool!) fan mod to alter Fiora's hair and skin color to look more like her (actual) brother, so I'm not alone in seeing this haha.

So, Nikol. He sure does exist. Dude looks just like Shulk because his dad and mom both look like Shulk so what else could he look like. That's about all the thoughts I have haha (at least until I actually play more of 3 and see what he's like).

Non-ask-related ramblings under the cut because it's me, of course I rambled haha.

As I really don't like to nor want to rain on anyone's parade, as well as enjoy talking about the ship I like (because of course), I've made an effort to mentally retrack my train of thought (? idk how else to describe it lol) whenever my NOTP comes up by converting it into an opportunity to talk about my OTP instead of complaining. (See also my comment on What If We Kissed In The Weapons Development Lab where I mentioned going back into my fic and adding more details of Shulk being enamored by Melia whenever I came across Shiora while writing it lol.)

So, Shulkelia kids! I'm personally not one for creating OCs, in general or for media I like. Not that I dislike them or even the thought/process of making them! It just doesn't come to me as easily or interest me as much as digging into canon details and playing around with them. But I did come up with a couple rough concepts for what they might look like and how their parents might decide on their names... if they even would want to have kids in the first place, that is, I'm still unsure about that haha. But fanfiction can be whatever you want it to be and that's the fun of it, so maybe sometime I'll try developing those small ideas into something more (especially if it's something people are interested in reading)! If anything I'm most attached to my little blurbs I wrote about how they and their kids would interact with Reyn and Sharla and their kids, lots of cute potential there :)

(*Well, I can add something more, and I originally was going to do it! Not to contradict my whole don't-like-raining-on-anyone's-parade point, but again I want to stress, my intention with this is I just really enjoy analyzing details and understanding why I react to things in the way that I do. But I did mention to a previous ask that I have in-game writing reasons for why I dislike Shiora, it's not just personal experience from my life outside of the fandom or in observing it. In fact on my first playthrough of the game I was all for it and even saved a bunch of fanart of the two together on my phone, I see it when scrolling through my gallery all the time! It really fascinates me how drastically my perspective shifted after just one small moment at the very end of the game, and then on replaying it everything fell apart like a house of cards to me, wild stuff I can't compare the experience to anything else haha. Ok I’m done of pretending to be angry, it’s literally making me physically tired.

So my problem with Fiora’s redesign—aside from the fact that she looks even more like she’s Shulk’s sister than she already did— is the fact that they made her hair (which as a function of story was haphazardly chopped off during the process of making her into a bioweapon) into a cute bob.

Like I’m not tripping, right? Her hair being messed up was there to make a point. ‘They’ don’t care about her or her body, because who cares about the flesh sack you’re turning into an unwilling cyborg soldier? Her hair was in the way so, off it came. No need to worry about if it looks nice or not. It’s not like your brainwashed and possessed fighter pilot’s personal grooming or individuality matters

In DE it looks like they took her to the hairdresser after forcibly retrofitting her body to circulate blood around a mech like a fucked up reverse dialysis machine

Deprogrammed ‘Mecha Fiora’ laments her loss of femininity, but she’s still very much cute and feminine. It directly contradicts what she says and undercuts her loss and some of her tragedy just to make her more visually appealing for a few hours of gameplay

What does cotton ceiling mean?

So, this is an explanation I found:

“The cotton ceiling is a theory proposed by trans porn star and activist Drew DeVeaux to explain the experiences queer trans women have with simultaneous social inclusion and sexual exclusion within the broader queer women’s communities. Basically, it means that cis queer women will be friends with us and talk day and night about trans rights and ending transmisogyny, but will still not consider us viable sexual partners.

The term cotton ceiling is a reference to the “glass ceiling” that second wave feminist identified in the workforce, wherein women could only advance so high in the workforce but could not break through into positions of power and authority. The cotton represents underwear, signifying sex.

The theory of the cotton ceiling is useful in identifying the dynamic trans women are experiencing, and is meant to open up conversation around desirability’s intersections with transmisogyny and transphobia.”

The cotton ceiling, in short, makes the point that there are certain cis lesbians who are using their sexuality as a way to deny trans women’s womanhood. It’s not about coercing them, it’s not about saying you can’t have sex with only people you want to have sex with, its not about corrective rape or conversion therapy. It’s literally just a name for the concept of using your sexuality as a way of denying trans women’s womanhood; ie “I would never have sex with a trans woman, I’m a lesbian and don’t like men”.

From what I understand it is a very controversial thing. There is a lot of fighting on this topic between trans women and TERFs.

How was the reactions from floor guardians when they found out that the MC was pregnant with 2 children (ulbert and gazef) but one is half human.

Again, I think this would be tricky. The guardians would need to respect the child regardless if the MC is a Supreme Being, because that half-breed still ranks above them.

I wouldn't doubt Demiurge would be angered and inwardly repulsed a bit because that baby doesn't belong to his Creator—the very man he thinks belongs to the MC. Shalltear would possibly feel the same as it's not completely a Supreme Being's child, and so would Albedo.

Pandora's Actor would be indifferent and still cherish and love the child no matter what, possibly showing them the treasury with great flamboyance.

Aura and Mare would just try to get the child into their loves (animals and plants).

Cocytus is an uncle now—he doesn't care so long as he's an uncle. He would feel upset that the MC would go behind her lover's back to be with someone else and consider it dishonorable, but he would not speak of that to the child or in front of the child.

Sebas Tian would do his all to make sure the child ignores the hate he can feel radiating off of certain floor guardians as would Yuri Alpha. (Hell, Yuri would still love to be its teacher)

Solution would wish to eat it and even offer the idea—so would Entoma.

Lupusregina would just play around with the kid, trying to bring out the sadistic side (against Yuri's wishes).

Narberal would still consider it an insect of sorts—a bug that needs to be squished, but she merely mutters this under her breath to try and be respectful.

CZ2I28 would still do her best to be there for the child, making the other sisters a bit jealous as she seems to really focus on this child over them.
