Although there has been a remarkable growth in the local movie industry in Uganda, there's still a rush for movies from Hollywood. Lately, the appetite for Spanish , Indian, and Korean telenovelas have gained popularity amongst Ugandans. The local film industry is still struggling to gain acceptance. Not many gain access to the local movie libraries and worse still, uptown Cinemas. In the picture is a movie library in Kampala full of people looking to buy some for home screening. The entire library collection is pirated. Each movie costs Uganda Shillings, 1000 ($0.3). In the uptown cinemas, watching one movie costs anything between $5-8. The sort of lifestyle I miss to the murrow! Playing to the heights with meaningless objects worth nothing. Photo by @edward_echwalu Edward Echwalu #MobilePhotographyUganda #Kaberamaido #Uganda #VillageTales (at Kaberamaido)

A herdsman patiently wait for the calf to taste her mothers milk before being pulled away for him to resume milking inside a cattle kraal in Soroti, Uganda. The boy to the right of the frame is charged with pulling the calf away. While a herdsman will milk for say, 10 minutes before the milk suddenly dries out, the calf can have a sustained amount of milk to pull from for much more than 10. It clutches its feet on the ground so firmly and hits the milk tits of the mother so hard with its head to release milk whenever it detects a decrease in flow. The simple trick the herdsmen do is to allow the calf to suckle from all the four tits for about a minute in total before being forcefully dragged away for them to continue milking. The milk always reappears in plenty. That routine is repeated for three to four times per cow milked. Photo by @edward_echwalu Edward Echwalu #MobilePhotographyUganda #Farming #Soroti #Uganda
