Kampala International University KIU

Kampala International University (KIU) is a private, not-for-profit institution based in Uganda. It was established in 2001 and assumed chartered status in 2009.The University which started as a typical degree-awarding institution has now grown into the number one Private University in Uganda and is currently ranked as the fourth-bestout of 65 universities in the country according to the January 2020 Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.

 In pursuit of hergoal to nurture the next generation of problem-solvers for the East African region and indeed the whole of Africa, the University operates a multi-campus system which consists of two campuses in Uganda (The Main campus in Kampala and the Western Campus in Ishaka-Bushenyi); one other university in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, while a third one is being developed in Nairobi Kenya.

 KIU has 49 academic departments offering a total of over 150educational programme in Arts, Law, Business, Communication Arts, Computer Science and Information Technology, Engineering, Education, Language and Literature, Mathematics, Physical and Biological Sciences, Social Science, and Technology Education, Medicine and Clinical Science, Biomedical Sciences, Nursing Science and Dentistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. All the programs are accredited by Uganda’s National Council for Higher Education, National and Regional professional bodies, agencies including the EAC.

 Among the University’s premier units receiving special recognition are the Kampala International University Teaching Hospital and the University’s IddiBasajjabalaba Memorial Library - IBML which has been adjudged by both internal and external observers to be one of the best in the region.

 To enhance student learning and lecturers’ preparation, KIU provides all faculty and full-time, on-campus students with a conducive learning environment, adequate classrooms, ample office spaces, ultramodern e-resource centres, access to some of the world’s best publications and easy access to high-speed wireless networking, advanced multimedia technology, and classrooms equipped with the latest educational technology. KIU makes courses and degree programs available through traditional on-campus programs, distance learning (online), and hybrid formats that combine both elements.

Sometimes I get out of words seriously because of happiness and joy in me, has each day I do get surprises from lovely people around the world. Since I requested the universe for the yoga mats, now I see the love coming up slowly. Here is my brother @ibrabuwembo who has a beautiful dance studio at #Tirupati Mazima Mall along Ggaba road which you should to check out if you want to lift weights all available so he decided to donate some yoga mats which his clients were not using to support me with yoga for children in the slum communities. Am still calling upon anyone who has a yoga mat and you are not using please reach me out and it helps does who can't afford getting one because we need to support each other ❤️ in all means now, as togetherness is the way to promote love and peace among ourselves. Ongoing: Planned Plant Shutdown At Ggaba Water Works 28th December,2020 The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation regrets to inform its valued customers and the general public that there will be interruptions in water supply today Monday 28th and tomorrow 29th December, 2020 from 12am to 6am. This is due to a 2 day planned system upgrade by UMEME on the power supply line to the Ggaba water treatment. Subsequently, water production in all treatment plants, pumpage at all booster stations and water supply to the entire Kampala Metropolitan Service Area will be affected during this downtime. Customers are therefore advised to store water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a total plant shutdown. The exercise is aimed at serving our customers better.
