I know this isn't a question but I was debating to send this for a long time...

I did this a while back (was in the KR Amino and had people voting for the order of drawings for the Heisei Phase 2 people) and thought of you since you're a Shoutarou fan XD

Okay, this has been floating in my head for a bit so... What happens when the Heisei Riders stumble upon their own actors?

First off, they’d be really, really confused at all the raging fangirls who lust over them. Like... they don’t really see themselves as “hot” or “cute” or anything like that maybe except Tsukasa so the fact that girls (and some guys) are crazy for their doppelgängers will really weird them out.

They’d also have a morbid fascination with the other roles their actors played. Like... imagine Shoutaro seeing Renn Kiriyama in Code M: Codename Mirage. He’d totally be jealous of how hardboiled his actor was in that. And also a little scared by how ruthless he is. (Seriously please watch some of the clips of this show Renn’s acting and stuntwork was so good asdfghjkl...!)

And there’s also the fact that toku actors frequently cross paths in other works, too. So they’d be excited about the fact that their actors work together... like how Bleach had Sota Fukushi, Ryo Yoshizawa and Erina Mano in roles with personalities and dynamics similar to Gentaro, Ryusei and Nadeshiko’s.

...Unless it’s something like Laughing Under the Clouds, which has UST between the characters played by Renn and Sota. They’d just be speechless with horror. 

If they actually meet their actors though? That’s a whole other can of worms...

I only ever watched 11 episodes of Den-O, but Ryotarou’s a cinnamon roll that is actually a cinnamon roll but could kill you if he had to or wanted to

5. Most dynamic Rider entry ever (or at least, from what I’ve seen)

This is the nth time someone has used this image in reference to Den-O...but I haven’t used it, it’s way too memorable, and I still wonder how Takeru Sato managed to sit on a bike in a tree for who knows how long

4. He comes in different...colours

It’s more of a “I appreciate Takeru Sato” thing, but I appreciated what little I saw of possessed Ryotaro in eleven episodes. My favourite is Momotaros because roguish behaviour is what I go for in fiction

And for the record, this screenshot was used because Ryotarou managed to stop Momotaros from doing further damage on someone else, which links into points 3 and 2

3. That time he refused to have an Imagin possess him because they were admittedly being a jerk

Look at him with that meek fighting stance that could belong to a teddy bear...a bowling pin could knock him over...and he got kicked around a lot in the fight...but he didn’t want other people getting hurt or having their possessions stolen by an Imagin linked to him...even minutes before this he had the amazing gall to say “if I can use that wish, can I wish for you to go away?”

Basically - he isn’t all cinnamon roll. He’s got backbone thicker than pastries

2. For all his bad luck, he didn’t hold anything against anyone

If anyone else had been Ryotarou, they would’ve been cursing the world and themselves because why did they have to get hit three times in a row (or more) by people practicing sports - why did they have lemonade and garlic together - why do they have to create misunderstandings wherever they go -

But while I expect that he’ll go down a path where he doesn’t just accept mistreatment and fights back (on a necessary level), at the same time the way Ryotarou carries himself is...charming? He doesn’t want to pick a fight with anyone, but he’ll help the very person who gave him a beating because 1) he’s not one to be mean and 2) it’s the right thing to do. He’s got this quiet strength that lasts longer than one would expect, and I never got the impression that he has a broken spirit as most characters do when they have the trope of bad luck

1. Concluding the Heisei Era

All you need to know is that I shrieked

A part of me had hoped that he’d appear without an Imagin possessing him, but I got preoccupied with...admiring this guy. On the plus side, he did regain control to share his own smile as his Imagin tell him that the memories are important than the content of the show, that they would never forget him...like we would never forget how this guy played a part in Kamen Rider success...

*grabs five tissue boxes* Excuse me but...I need a moment T^T

I feel like with their personalities, Kamen Riders the exact type of people to do stupid shit for the Internet because someone dared them to

Tsukasa: the spoonful of cinnamon challenge

Shoutaro: actually a bastion of sanity who prevents people from doing crazy shit

Philip: barely stopped in time before he ate a Tide Pod

Eiji: one of those spicy ramen challenges; everyone but he and Satonaka passed out

Gentaro: the blenderized Happy Meal challenge. They had a stomachache after

Haruto: the “handcuffed to (Nitou) for a week” challenge, thanks to Rinko getting fed up with their shit

I imagine an AU where the Riders are like, spirits to the actors who played them, guiding them or keeping them company... So like with Renn and Shoutarou, Gaku with Kouta... Got any opinions on them?

Whaaaaa…? That’s… a really weird idea… but an interesting one too!

Tsukasa and Masahiro: They’re just the same person Masahiro is just the name Tsukasa uses in our universe shhhhhh

Shoutaro and Renn: I wonder if this is why Renn lately picks roles that require him to wear very Shou-like outfits. Hmmm.

Philip and Masaki: Oh, the irony, because Masaki’s agency kept him from reprising Philip so he won’t be typecast…

Eiji and Shu: Honestly I think Shu’s spirit guardian would be Ankh, which would be shared with Ryon of course.

Gentaro and Sota: This is why he ends up playing the friendly, good guy kind of roles. Ichigo, Tenka, the guy from The Travelling Cat Chronicles…

Haruto and Shun’ya: …HMMMMM. Huh. I don’t actually know what would happen for these two

Kouta and Gaku: Explains the level of chaos that Gaku can cause (see: that cursed photo with Taiko Katono and Gaku Oshida)

Shinnosuke and Ryoma: Well… let’s just say they’re both supremely amused by the whole “Nation’s Boyfriend” thing

Takeru and Shun: Explains the level of dork Shun exudes- his spirit animal is also a dork

Emu and Hiroki: Emu would be so embarrassed by some of the roles Hiroki has had. Including the one where he had to play an incorrigible flirt

Sento and Atsuhiro: Like with Shun, Atsuhiro’s level of nerdy dorkiness is explained by who his spirit Rider is

Sougo and Sou: I sure hope Sou doesn’t show signs of Sougo’s megalomania.

Riders in a Kingdom setting where Sougo actually became a king (or overlord... Or waga maou... Including the peeps from Zi-O and Tsukasa :D)

Okay then. Doing the Zi-O cast first-

Sougo: the king, ofc

Woz: royal... announcer? Yes man?

Tsukuyomi: an actual princess from a far off land

Geiz: Princess Tsukuyomi’s bodyguard who reluctantly joined Sougo’s knights

Tsukasa: mysterious traveller who seems to know the king somehow

Shoutaro and Philip: a pair of high ranking knights who are well known as a combi

Eiji: a beloved lord of one of the villages under Sougo’s kingdom

Gentaro: the court astronomer’s bodyguard and closest friend

Haruto: a wizard who flits from town to town solving villagers’ problems before vanishing

Kouta: a court dancer recruited from one of the distant villages

Shinnosuke: another high ranking knight, assigned to oversee the capital’s guards

Takeru: a monk who was rumored to have died, but was actually alive the whole time

Emu: a renowned medic, known for his excellent bedside manner

Sento: the king’s personal engineer who oversees his most important projects

They all get attracted to Shoutaro for some inexplicable reason. Shou, being his usual Cat Whisperer self, is bemused, but gives everyone scritches and works to find out how to turn them back human.

(He’s also immune to cat transformation magic, because, you know, Joker. The Wild Card, Spanner in the Works, minor reality warping powers and all that.)

Kitty!Philip defends his territory valiantly... and terrifies all the other Kitty!Riders with his possessiveness over Shou.

This is kind of fun to do lmao... So what happens when the Riders meet their double (a.k.a actor)... I assume chaos ensues...?

In general, a lot of screaming, confusion, bewilderment and yes, chaos

Specifically:

Shoutaro & Renn Kiriyama- I think that after the initial shock, they’d be pretty cool with meeting each other. Then Shoutaro brings up the UST between him and “Gentaro” in Laughing Under the Clouds...

Philip & Masaki Suda: Philip would go rambling on and on about all the things he looked up about Masaki, who is just bemused and wondering if this was what his co-stars felt when they did a scene like this

Eiji & Shu Watanabe- Eiji would demand to know what the hell is going on between him and “Ankh”. Shu of course would say that they’re just good friends... making Eiji rather jealous of their closeness

Gentaro & Sota Fukushi- I think these two would get along pretty well. Sota would think that maybe Gentaro was a bit too energetic and loud, but would otherwise like him a lot

Haruto & Shun’ya Shiraishi- They’d try to be a little aloof about it, hiding the fact that they’re actually quite jealous of the other- Haruto because Shun’ya has a “normal” life, Shun’ya because Haruto actually has fucking magic

Kouta & Gaku Sano- The minute Gaku tells him about Yutaka Kobayashi being a sweets-baking dorkass, Kouta would be all “USO!!!” So Gaku takes him to Yutaka, who bakes this for them, and Kouta reacts like Peko’s actor did

Shinnosuke & Ryoma Takeuchi- “So... ‘The Nation’s Boyfriend’ huh?” “Yeah, though people say that might change to ‘The World’s Boyfriend’ now that I’m Red from Pokemon” “Excuse me you were who from what now?!” 

Takeru & Shun Nishime- As two cinnamon rolls who are too good for this sinful world, they will get along well after the shock passes. Shun won’t be so pleased about how everyone still thinks of Takeru as a child, though...

Emu & Hiroki Iijima- Emu would grill Hiroki about his video game knowledge, which would be limited for obvious reasons.. also Emu would ask Hiroki why he wasn’t the one in Detective Pikachu instead of Ryoma

Sento & Atsuhiro Inukai- They’d bond over the fact that they’re both complete nerds, lol. Then Sento asks about something from an interview he saw for Eiji Akaso... “So, are you and Banjou’s actor dating?” -cue spittake from Acchan-

Sougo & Sou Okuno- Sougo would baffle Sou by asking if he similarly wants to be a king like him. Sou would shock Sougo with his ballet training

Question - Do all the Riders know that their adventures are documented and made into public material (God I love fourth wall breaking...)

...Probably?

I mean, there’s a reason why people know what a Kamen Rider is, even in-universe. In Neo-Heisei, the most of the Riders were even given the name “Kamen Rider” by the public themselves, meaning that there must’ve been a previous Rider who called themselves such.

Fourze reveals the namesake to be Ichigo himself, which means that ever since he first showed up, they have been documented to exist somehow. He’s even known to be a “legendary Rider”, a fact presented to be common knowledge in-universe.

Now whether they know of an in- (or out-) universe fandom for themselves is another story...

Riders playing the Taiko Drum game to their theme song!

There’s only a few Riders with theme songs in Taiko Drum though- just Takeru, Emu and Sento. Ofc Emu would ace his, because hello. Genius Gamer M isn’t just a genius with platform games. Sento and Takeru would have varying results, lol

Ironically, the one Rider known for playing the taiko doesn’t have a theme song in Taiko Drum (Hibiki got jilted, I’m telling you). Also, Sougo’s theme song hasn’t been turned into a Taiko Drum song to, not that I know of anyway.

Basically, it’s about how they all freak out about the porn, are now scared of fangirls, Sougo and Tsukuyomi get a crush on Gaku Oshida, Ryuuga somehow gets his hands on Atsuhiro Inukai’s photobook and Philip tries to murder Eiji because his actor was in a movie with Wakana’s where they played lovers who have done the do 😂

Also, Kazumin vs Otoya. Poor Wataru.
