Siren Sunrise ~ Next Gen

The daughter of Celestia and Queen Novo, born through the "Hybrid Gen" project in my next gen AU, True Colors!

~Hybrid Gen~

Once Fluttershy and Discord concieved the current age alicorns made an agreement to bear children with other royals of different species. There's only so many alicorns of age, so not every species has an official pairing, as well as a Dragon hybrid happening without intervention (SweetieSpike ftw) so the species chosen were Changelings, Hippogryphs/Seaponies, and Kirin.

~ Celestia X Novo ~

Princess Celestia was paired with Queen Novo of the Seapony species. Their relationship started out purely political, but they soon grew closer and closer. Both creatures had experience ruling a kingdom, both had many stories other creatures simply couldn't relate to. While trying to make small talk Celestia mentioned having an experience on the throne that caused Novo to not only relate to, but began a true adoration twords the ex royal.

In my AU Celestia's first partner was a mare, so a WLW relationship is absolutely not out of the norm. Having a child together while getting along so well, it only made sense that they grew to be a pair.

~ Siren Sunrise ~

Siren is the only seapony/hippogryph that has a unicorn horn as well as possessing unicorn magic. While Tia was nervous about her daughter becoming an outcast much like her youth, she was very happily suprised when Siren Sunrise fully adapted to being of the status she had been born with. By no means was she shy about using her magic, in fact it was one of her favorite things. Manipulating the water and seafoam to make shapes, being able to bring seashells to her friends without lifting a fin, it was all just so fascinating to those that surrounded her.

Skystar and Siren aren't the closest of sisters, Skystar kind of rightly feels as though Siren outshined her at least for time being in their mother's eyes. As they grew up they grew distant, but once they were old enough to see past their petty grudges twords one another they became best friends.

Siren Sunrise absolutely loves her half cousin Orion Starswirl, Luna's child, and if she is venturing outside of Mount Eris Siren will absolutely make the effort to stop by Canterlot and visit! Being born from the same 'project' they have always been able to confide in eachother while also having eachother as proof their parents would never treat them differently than if they were full ponies.

finally finished my base edit of my redesigns of the MLP princesses! base credit goes to sleepymoss on dA. i've been having a very hard time drawing lately, and base edits help a lot with helping me still draw while not requiring too much energy. regardless, this still took a while.

some headcanons below the cut!

each of the princesses have the colors of their eyes and some aspect of their designs influenced by major events in their life.

for cadance, this was repairing the crystal heart and saving the crystal empire from sombra (with the help of twilight, of course). this granted her the blue hue to her wings and eyes, and the blue streaks in her hair.

for twilight, this was at the same moment she became an alicorn after unlocking her true power when it came to magic; her colors were pink and orange!

for luna, she gained her silvery and blue colors when she returned to equestria and rebuilt her bond with her sister, celestia. her starry hair shifts colors and brightness based mostly on her emotions and what she's doing. during a solar eclipse, her hair is completely white and leaves a trail of shimmering dust behind her when she walks and flies. when the princesses' magic was taken by the storm king and tirek, her hair turned to just deep blue-black hair.

for celestia, this was the moment she used the elements of harmony to banish luna to the moon. she took some of the elements' power within herself, and that power just grew in the time she was raising the sun and moon on her own. this power manifests in the outer 'aura' of color in her hair, which shifts and changes color according to the time of day. her true hair is the pink and orange inner layer. when her magic was taken, the outer layer disappeared entirely, and she felt almost naked without it.

this is how they will be appearing in my next gen, as well! some aspects of their designs have been changed to fit the show style of the base, though, but i will keep those aspects a surprise <3

next up will be the mane 6 i think! probably another base edit tbh...

Rainbow Dash!

The Peregrine x Cheetah griffin dash is complete!!

Rainbow being a combo of two of the fastest animals is just sooo good <333

Also in the universe/ au?? these designs take place in, most sapient creatures have cutie marks! Also I like the idea that all hooved creatures and a good majority of mythical creatures are sapient!

They are trans masc, use He/They pronouns and are a Lesbian! He is also dating/married to Fluttershy <3

I love the idea of them getting the rainbow coloring after doing the sonic rainboom sooo for this Rainbow it is true! I think as a fledgling his spots were blue and their mane was black but after the rainboom they were magically stained rainbow! His OG name was just Dash and he added Rainbow to it bec of the rainboom!

He's the element of Honesty, because it makes since and Im still confused as to why Apple Jack and Rainbow's elements weren't switched.

They bonded with and befriended Fluttershy in flight school bec they both were the odd ones out as the majority of their peers were Pegasus.

The Wonderbolts had only ever had Pegasus remembers and Rainbow was determined to be the first non Pegasus to get in. After they did get let in however, she realized they were elitist assholes and horse racist so he quit.

He's bffs with Apple Jack and they are a badass Jock lesbian duo <3

I watched MLP as a kid and sadly was one of the victims that got scared out of their minds when watching it on YouTube and clicked baited into watching those scary trauma inducing MLP videos.

But i blocked those out of my mind for the longest of time until i want back into it more years later reading all of the infected aus and it kinda me wondering. What if instead of infected MLP aus it was MLB?

Now stay with me, what if HawkMoths akumas infected the akumatized victims into slowing becoming monsters? Like at first okay you get akumatized and that’s okay because ladybug and chat noir will fix you in a day and yes that’s true but after that your mood feels different like you can never /truly/ be happy it’s like there’s a cloud or fog in your mind and you think your just obviously just going through the motions of what just happened.

But then you start to feel a little different, the primal instincts in your gut is telling you that something is going to happen and all your mental alarms are ringing like crazy but at this point it’s been a couple of weeks after your “accident” and nothing bad really happened aside from the normal akumazited victims that’s came after you.

So you feel like you shouldn’t be /too/ worried but after awhile it truly feels like your not in your own skin on top of that your intrusive thoughts become more and more louder. They’re so /loud/ and different from your other thoughts that you think someone else is in your head it feels so out of place that it genuinely scares you.

It’s not just that “oh f**k it let’s shave your head” no it’s so horrid and gruesome that your scared of even leaving your house in fears of hurting someone at that point it might be a month in since the “accident” and again nothing really changed in the world so you really think your going crazy but no.

Because now your body is literally physically changing. -like for example let’s use Nino since (after looking it up) he was the first akumatized victim. After going through the mood swings body aches and paranoia thoughts his skin is starting to change, he’s eyes are getting sucken and with black rings around it, (he thought it was because of the lack of sleep) but he also sees his face is a tab bit blue? But his chest looks red? And he’s hands and feet are turning black he chalks it up to his paranoia and locks himself completely in his room, he has alittle brother and doesn’t want to hurt him with aggressive his thought are getting.

The next time he looks into the mirror he’s arms and legs and stomach are swollen like they’ve been stung by a thousand bees and the different colors of blues yellows reds and blacks all more apparent now his body aches all the time and feels like it’s on fire even breathing feels like there’s fire in his lungs at this point it’s just straight up body horror. His skin is trying to recreate his akumatized body. And at this points It’s hard to even strung thoughts together to even come up with that conclusion on his own now all he feels is rage. And for what? What’s the reason for all this aggression?

He doesn’t know it’s just pure white hate in his mind and thought and at this point he’s to far gone. He can’t go to anyone for help.

(I honestly don’t know how he’ll get find out maybe by his parents worried why there sun hasn’t left his room or his little brother being curious of where his big bro went or many even Adrien checking up on how is friend is doing)

But I know that with all the other akumtized victims designs they’re body horror will go crazy and more and more of Marinette and Adrian’s classmates will going missing after their akumatized moments and the rest of the class plus the school PLUS everyone in Paris will be paranoid and making conspiracy theories on where they went and who’ll be next as tension rises in Paris (which ironically lead to more akumas) while even more pressure lies on Ladybug and chat noirs shoulders and the citizens of Paris are now aggressive towards them wondering what happened to their kids/loved ones and why is this happening.

Either way I’m gonna end it here I wanna hear your thought and ideas and expand further on this becuase I think it’ll be really fun to talk about it might even turn into the apocalypse they also went to china and New York. Sorry if there’s misspelling or bad grammar and I made all of this in a rush but hopefully you all like this idea! I don’t really know what to call this au other than infected MLB au so please interact/talk to me so we can all have fun and expand this AU further !

Happy second anniversary of Encanto movie!

I had (then and year ago) more ambitious idea of mock poster, but again, to execute it properly, decided to put it aside until skills and tools for it gained. So I opted for the piece reflecting on my personal take from the story.

The drawing is an experiment, drawn traditionally in complementary colors and put through color inversion in an editor.

I’m not a fandom person, admittedly. What piques my interest in exploring of piece of fiction is, usually, is its origins, history of creation, cultural background and, in some cases, impact it leaves on the art coming after it, rarely anything beyond. With all things I’ve had getting into recently, it was like that, generally observatory things. When I’ve got into MLP, it was a phenomenon of its large fandom, sheer variety of art forms it produced (from the music and games to automata toys), people of different upbringing and cultures being all inspired by it – fascinating to witness such a movement in present time. With The Simpsons, it was its legacy, its large influence in modern media – seeing the roots, the blueprint of it, getting understanding of why it was such a powerful piece of storytelling and visual direction to raise the cult around it. With Encanto, it got me curious at first to see aesthetic of magical realism being translated in form of animation, and I was surprised Disney decided to dip their toes into attempt of it. Generally, I’m more enticed by potential of the story and its artistic presentation, most of it is left in concept studies rather than in finished work, as often in mainstream production, possibilities and imagination and artistic talent poured into it is much more stunning than the product released to the public. I may feel reasonably cynical about modern Disney as company, but I can’t deny the imagination and immense genius of professionals who are still at work in it. I wish we’ll see the true Renaissance of what always was its major power - traditional animation.

So, what’s the outcome of it: while any piece of fiction that wins my full attention does make my creative juices flowing, nothing of it got to see the light of day until I felt the urge to express what was brewing in my mind affected by that new and hot thing, not to a lesser extent getting inspired by other people’s concurrent creative works, it did kick off renewal of drawing practice I had abandoned years ago and continued postponing for indefinite period. It still induces me to work toward my own progress, for it provides me with backlog of ideas to make into drawings when I really need motivation. It’s going to keeping up, hopefully, until some other thing sweeps me away or something makes my enthusiasm fade. And so, the movie in question is what had the most productive impact on me so far, it helps me keep going, and I’m grateful for that.

JELLY JAMBOREE AND PEANUT BRITTLE

Peanut Brittle Pie is the older of the two twins, only by a few minutes, but because of this he felt obligated to take care of his twin sister. Growing up PB was a much different pony, being much more akin to Fluttershy than Pinkie or Cheese. Peanut used to be, well, brittle. His loudmouth sister would make situations worse, and as much as he knew it was out of love he just was trying to live his best life, so he did. Peanut Brittle quickly shed the ladder half of his name, taking some training advice from his technically uncle Big Mac.

Rarely referred to as Peanut anymore, only by Jelly, PB is known around ponyville as the go-to pony for people that need to feel safe. PB is soft spoken, often letting people infer his intent which can lead him down some weird roads. In the Piewich household there needs to be some sweet glue keeping everything together, and that sweet gloopy mess is PB PIE

Jelly Jamboree is the younger PB n J twin, and the youngest (biological) Piewich child, including Lemon Cheesecakes (Lil' Cheese)! From a very young age Jelly expressed herself through music, banging on the pots and pans in Sugarcube Corner where the Cake Twins would stop by to babysit or visit. Lil tidbit on them, Pinkie and the Cakes asked them to expand the Sugarcube Corner business to have a location in Canterlot near Twilight.

At first JJ kept her music local to Pinkie and Cheese's events, being dubbed their "sweet jam surprise". It wasn't super long til Jelly was confident enough to accept a gig DJing the Grand Galloping Gala, now having a more upbeat section thanks to Princess Party Planner Officianato Pinkie. A few ponies of high status in the music industry heard her, and her career has been only uphill from there! Though she still lives in Ponyville with her family, it wouldn't feel like home without that 12 foot long crocodile or her shy brother she is needed to speak for

In any MLP AU of Trolls Branch should be a blank flank until True Colors. He was close to getting his cutie mark during his first concert but then it failed and again when his grandma got eaten. Then he didn't sing again, so he didn't ever have the chance.

Jojo ponies be upon ye

I really like my Josuke design, so I wanted to see what he would look like with colors. While doing so I remembered he is a fusion of Kira and Josefumi, so I drew them too!

Regarding the two on the right, their coat colors are taken from their lipstick colors. For Josuke, he is mostly green as his body was Josefumi’s originally but I added yellow patches (and freckles) to show his connection to Kira!

Now their cutie marks, I doodled Josuke with his bubbles as his cutie mark and thought it was nice so that explains his. Kira is a marine surgeon so I drew a stethoscope with a star (cause he’s a Joestar yknow?). Josefumi has a plant cutie mark as I found out he knows stuff about agriculture and studied that (as seen with how he knew how to do botanical grafting)

With color, it’s way easier to see that the horn looks a bit out of place on Josuke’s head due to it being from Kira while he has the wings from Josefumi. I thought making him an alicorn would be cool what can I say? That means that when Kira was found, he was missing his horn alongside some yellow patches of fur. Josuke definitely isn’t as strong as an alicorn as he really isn’t a true one. Like he didn’t earn it like Twilight did in MLP if that makes sense? He’s just some guy. He probably wouldn’t be good at using magic at first but get the hang of it the more he practices.

Like, in the human world i can even understand the colors thing, but in the pony world....geno is albino and error still have his Glitch Color issues? Also, why two Pegasus, One unicorn but earth pony mom? Like, in the sugarcube old couple, is bc probably their parents where unicorns or Pegasus, ok make sense .. but and here? Also, the CQ boys was made with CQ Magic, but here She inst and unicorn, só doesn't have how....they are all adopted or are from differents fathers?

Yeah, I was thinking about making CQ into a Pegasus to draw an obvious connection between them but in the end, I decided making her different from them would work best as a design translation from MCQ to MLP. I also didn't want the kids to deviate too much from my normal UTMV designs for them.

I am taking into account CQ having members of all pony tribes in her heritage, none of them are adopted and to stay true to MCQ there was no father involved either. (Plus, keep in mind that although momma CQ is a character, CQ is also a real person so going beyond what she was in MCQ is not something I want to do, I think making her a pony is already close to overstepping lmao)

So, how did it happen then?

It probably sounds like a cop out but come on, this is Equestria, you can’t walk off path for 5 minutes without stumbling upon an ancient artifact! Chances are she stumbled upon something akin to the mirror pool, maybe something that grants wishes. Geno was probably an accident, an unfocused wish only backed up by the determination to make it come true resulting in a child with severe health issues. The following wishes were more and more focused but there were still problems.

So that’s my story and I’m sticking with it xD

i think its weird how defensive people get whenever you criticize mlp. like i'll see you have the most normal take ever about something in the show being disappointing or lackluster or whatever and then i almost always someone popping up and trying to argue with you about it even though whatever the take was was like. objectively true. like the "mlp is painfully straight" thing. people are a little too defensive about the colorful horse show me thinks

Its only normal, its a tale as old as time, if you like and invest yourself on something so much, you might take it as a personal attack when its scrutinized, it is what it is! Idk, personally I'm well aware this is a childrens show designed to sell toys, I cheer when smth fun happens but i'm well aware this isn't high cinema lmao. It just so happens that it has a colorful cast of engaging and fun characters that is incredibly easy to get attached to, so yknow
