i wanted to throw my hat into the ring for death note pony designs :) lights cutie mark is a pen and a pomegranate to show his talent for solving crimes with his academic skills but also obviously. his Real Talent for killing people via writing, L’s is a mouse trap with a heart (and a heartbeat signal that’s um. flatlining) to show his talent for trapping criminals by offering himself up as bait because he’s freaky like that

The first thing any artist should do when getting into a new interest is to ponify the characters, of course. Death Note is no exception! Here's Moonlight, L, and Angel Song!

I thought the name Moonlight was really clever considering Light's kanji is 月 (moon) and it' pronounced Light.

L's cutie mark would be concealed somehow as to protect his identity, but I think it would have something to do with his love of sweets.

light (unicorn) is a late blooming blank flank who only gets his cutie mark after he becomes kira and then has to hide it from everyone so he gets a fake cutie mark made up (notebook and pen to symbolise being really smart 😊) which he has to meticulously reapply every week or so when it fades. he is still committing real murders even though he is a pretty pony. equestria is rotten.

L (earth pony) has been sent to ponyville by princess celestia to investigate the disturbing pony murders, and hopefully make some friends along the way! 🥰 he doesn't. he (pony) does move in with light (also pony) allegedly to get light's scholarly help with stopping pony kira but mostly because he suspects light of being pony kira. also kira keeps being foiled accidentally by pinkie pie's random hijinks mostly because she's always delivering sweets to L pony.

oh wait also light pony's name is Light Turner because he turns things to the light! 🥰🌞 and his voice actor is nat wolff. from netflix. that whole plot with nightmare moon and also everything else in the show still happens btw L and light pony just have their own shit going on in the background and also ponies keep dying. i hope this helps

I was really inspired by @bixels take on human Discord and thought it would go very well with the original design of Ryuk from Death note. (Especially with how similar these characters are)

Unfortunately, i'm too lazy to study digital art so i tried to justify it by using this kind of applique style.

I also forgot about the horns, so now it's a play feature: "look behind this man's handsome facade and see his true devilish nature! Now, in every store, for only 4.99, this draconequus in a mortal coil is yours!"
