THANK YOU for understanding that ADRIAN should be the one adopted by the batfam and not Marinette 😭 he fits the bill so perfectly (matinette kinda does too but she has loving parents 🫶)

i see the argument that because she has black hair and blue eyes she should be adopted and i sigh a little bit like i get where you're coming from!! she's clever and a problem solved and a natural leader but!!!! Adrian fits the bill for adoption much better? and also i think the batfam deserve to kick the shit out of all the adult figures in his life (besides his bodygaurd i think? in my au he's chill)

if i wrote this though, i would not be using canon. i just can not bring myself to watch it again and i would rather write my own version in all honesty. and i would also make the universes combined rather than dimension hopping like LoF

Fresh Pair of Eyes Vs Local Knowledge

I like reading Miraculous x DC crossovers and have recently been reading a lot of Danny Phantom x DC crossovers and something I noticed in the first that is also visible in the second is that, when the teen heroes are still fighting their villains, the basis of their interactions tends to be one of three things:

"A fresh pair of eyes is helpful" or "new people who aren't listen" or "where the fuck where you when we needed you?"

Because sometimes, the teen heroes do really need backup. They need a detective's help or emotional support or fighting advice or something, basically they're in a situation where the assistance of a more experienced hero is useful and the hero(es) in question aren't usually condescending about it.

Other times, the more experienced hero is interfering in some way. The way I've seen it in Miraculous is tends to involve the DC heroes trying to take over the situation or being grouchy when told that if they're going to be here they are going to damn well play by the rules. When I see it in DP it tends to be more along the lines of "the heroes came, listened to the wrong people, and actively attacked the heroes."

"where the fuck where you when we needed you?" is specifically for them asking the Justice League for help and not getting it for some reason (either never getting help or getting it much later).

There's overlap, I've definitely seen a couple fics where Ladybug/her team needs some help but they're very clear about who's running the show, and this is of course ignoring all the fics that happen after the main villain is taken down or when the teen hero in question is well established/retired/joining the League, I just thought it was interesting.

Does anyone else think that as the crossover fandom of DC x Miraculous (MLB) has expanded the name of the fandom should actually be Mirabat?

I understand that the fandom started as a Marinette ship (Daminette) and then expanded to other Marinette ships, however, as the fandom stands now, more characters are getting a focus in the crossover universe instead of Marinette.

Dedication to Adrien focused fics in DC x MLB has adopted the name Adribat and honestly has a different tone than Maribat tends to have.

Would it be weird to call the collective fandom Mirabat and allow there to be the subsections of Maribat and Adribat in it, seeing as Adribat feels as though it is going to pick up momentum?

I'd love to hear thoughts that those in the Maribat and Adribat spheres have on this. (P.S. I'm not saying rename the fandom cause it's been established for so long. Just curious of the what-if)

But the circumstances in how they were put together feel janky

Like Emotion was a good start to Felix's interest in Kagami, another sentibeing who also wishes for freedom from their abusive parent, but someone who isn't family

Besides Adrien he has literally never known another being like them both who could relate so much to his struggles and desires

She's multi-dimensional too unlike other sentibeings who have feelings but no sense of autonomy or experience as people

Doesn't hurt that she's also pretty 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️✨✨✨

He's probably never talked one on one so intimately and vulnerably with anyone like Kagami in his life

So yeah I get Felix

But his lil adventure with Kagami in Pretension I'm mixed yalls

I can see why Kagami would like him

He's Adrien but devoted, adventurous, and assertive when it comes to her

Like that's her type and it sounds even weirder when I write it out wuehfjdeesdf

Why couldn't there be a lil throwaway line where Felix is like "so it doesn't weird you out that I look like Adrien" and she replies "yeah at first but you're a totally different type of weird and deranged so we all good"

Like I can kinda see them getting together but RIGHT IN THE EP HE KIDNAPS HER THEY ARE A COUPLE BY THE END,,,,A BIT FAST FOR MY TASTE

And the fact that Felix has done a laundry list of wrongs to Marinette she doesn't know about rubs me the wrong way

IDK GUYS I FEEL LIKE SHE SHOULD HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THESE TRAITS AND EVENTS TO SOME EXTENT

An episode addressing how her feelings for Adrien have truly gone away would have been great bc otherwise you're just watching the whole ep with this knowledge in the back of your mind + the fact that Felix is Adrien's twin and it makes things feel weird

Welcome Bugbats to the first October dedicated to Adribat!

Adribat is the part of the larger Maribat fandom that is dedicated to Adrien and allowing him to have a spotlight versus waiting in the wings.

Every weekday has been given a theme as well so if you would like an added challenge or guide those are there for you.

As most members of the fandom know, Maribat has been given March as a month for celebration. What better way to celebrate her partner then to give him the 3rd to last month as his own? You could say it mirrors them purrfectly.

Based on feedback from members of our server, the prompts from above have also been shuffled around in a new form. Bingo Boards!

There is both a 5x5 and 3x3 so creators can choose which they would like to do. As a special, the 3x3 has 3 extra prompts not seen on the calendar.

What are your opinions on a potential Edward Nygma/Adrien Agreste

Ooo great question!

Okay, so Edward and Adrien are so absolutely near and dear to my heart. Gotham’s version of the Riddler captured me. That’s the version that I write based off of whenever I write the character.

As for the two characters being shipped, I’d be willing to try writing it. It’d take a bit to wrap my brain around but I think there’s potential.

The relationship I like to do between Adrien and Edward is actually Adoptive Parent Ed. It’s my version of ‘Marinette gets it in the care of Harley, Ivy and/Selina’. I feel like Edward would be so fascinated with the miraculous and would want to help Adrien out (cause Oswald would make him).

I also really like the idea of Adrien/Edward being the ultimate duo to rival Batman/Catwoman. There’s just something about it. (Perfect set up for a Cat fight)
