She was nervous. The make-up artist Rachel had hired already yelled at her for fussing and crying after reading Nate’s note and listening to his Mix CD. It was perfect, it was so...Nate and it was why she liked him so much. Manicured hands settled on top of the gift she had for him as she looked out the window of the ‘fancy’ car Nate had gotten for her.  “I’m getting married today.” She announced to the driver who simply chuckled. Maybe he could sense how nervous she was. She couldn’t quite help it. Charlie had been waiting for a moment like this since she was a little girl but never did she imagine it would be something like this. Smiling when she tapped her fingers against the side of her jeans, she couldn’t help but realize how much she liked Nate. Her dress was sitting somewhere in Trixie’s apartment along with her shoes and accessories she had once had her heart set on wearing. The only two things that sat beside was her mother’s veil and Robert Roy’s bracelet. 

It was at that moment that Charlie was tempted to text her soon to be father-in-law and make sure everything was alright. Nate and Charlie knew a lot of people and City Hall would be packed but in the room while they exchanged vows, only a few people could attend and she imagined the patriarch along with Trixie, Liv, Mason, and Marcus making sure no one lost their head. The thought made her smile. She was truly surrounded by amazing people. Charlotte Brewington was blessed. The roads had been paved from the snow but the icy conditions made it terrifying to drive in and when she looked up and realized her driver had made a detour, she slid closer to the driver’s seat, hand resting on the separator. “Excuse me? City Hall is the other way...” 

But he didn’t answer and she felt a growing, overwhelming sense of nerves in the pit of her stomach. “I can take the train from here! It’s okay!” She tried to think of things to do. Call Nate? Call Rachel? Jump out of the car? Text Mason? And as she gathered her thoughts, she looked out the window, brows furrowing when the car went down fifth avenue. 

“Ma’am. You said you were getting married today. Well, you can’t do that without a fiance...” 

Despite the cold, she lowered the window and her heart began to race. “What?” 

That was when she spotted Robert Roy at the bottom of the stairs and her tears began to form.

To the most beautiful couple I’ve ever seen (not even lying you guys look so great together, it’s unfair), I hope your wedding day was everything you ever hoped for, I’m sure it’s already way above Nate’s previous expectations. I know Nate and I aren’t blood related, but I’m ready to welcome you as a new sister, Charlie! I hope you keep making eachother smile the way you do now for all the years to come, that’s all I can wish for the two of you. And Nate, happy is such a good look on you, I hope to see it all the time from now on, you’ll be okay if you let Charlie in, I promise. And please forgive me if I get too emotional during the toast and embarrass you. Charlie, I'm so happy you're finally getting the fairytale wedding you've always dreamed of. You deserve never ending happiness and love, and I'm confident Nate will be that for you. Love you so much! Nate, here's a way for you to connect with Charlotte through one of her passions: exercising! For when the weather is better, obviously, I bet a go around the park together would be equal parts romantic and fun! just like your marriage- Izzy.

I’m not sure how to start this, Lottie. I never thought I’d be doing something like this. But you wrote me that poem and I want to thank you for it, properly. Because I loved it, every second. They say the best works make you feel something, realize something...they make you think. Your poem did all that and I’m sorry I couldn’t say this sooner...I just hope it’s not a little too late to tell you that I like you. More than someone I’m forced to marry, more than a friend, more than whatever I said to you before. And.. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry I couldn’t get this out and if I ever made you feel bad I...I’m sorry...

I already gifted Nate the best thing I could offer, his amazing bachelor party, but I suppose both of you could use some of these things. Nate, since I stopped listening about halfway through when you started that nonsense about fast food restaurant wedding, I can’t remember which one was it, so here you go. Take your wife to both of them, go live your wildest dreams. 

On a more serious note, to enjoy a getaway of your choice (not necessarily a honeymoon if you’re not at that point yet), an airbnb giftcard with a Leica M10 digital camera to go with it. It’s said to instantly send photos to the smartphone device for immediate social media sharing. Not that my opinion should matter, but I hope your destination is somewhere Nathan can tan. I’m truly scared he’ll go translucent soon. And lastly, some things for the new home. A bed Nate’s feet won’t hang off, and a home theater system to enjoy a good movie night.

@charlottebrewington I’m married! I can’t believe it! I just need a moment to relax before the reception but I never imagined in a million years that this would be my wedding! I don’t know how @nathan-roy and everyone  of my friends and family pulled it off but I’m lucky to have them all. I love you guys so much. The Dress:

Once arriving at the right venue, Charlotte, in complete shock changes into her dress. A Monique Lhuillier Bridal Fall 2017 ‘Tresor’ Gown. 

The Veil: 

Cathedral veil with lace appliques. Her something “old”. This is what her mother wore in her wedding date and something Charlie really hoped to wear someday. 

Something New:

The bracelet was given to her by Robert Roy on Christmas and she wears it proudly. 

Something Borrowed: 

Hairpiece borrowed from Trixie

Something Blue:

Blue wedding shoes w/ Lion King appliques on the sole.
