Sorry I'm uncultured and I found your post through tumblr's 'you liked simular posts' but who's gloob and what's plusplus??

Heya!

They are the TV networks that broadcast Miraculous in Brazil and Ukraine respectively!

For instance ML is broadcast by TF1 (kids program is TFou) in France, Disney Channel in the US, RTS (kids program is RTS kids) in Switzerland, Gloob in Brazil, Plusplus in Ukraine, etc.

We're talking a lot about Gloob and Plusplus because they tend to release episodes out of order - Plusplus is infamous for releasing the S3 finale before the episodes "Chat Blanc" and "Félix" were out worldwide, and they announced they'd release the S4 finale early last season while we were still missing a bunch of episodes - thankfully the episodes weren't ready and it didn't happen, but fans were angry when they announced they wouldn't respect the order.

Gloob is infamous for sharing too many spoilers and too revealing/spoilery trailers, and wanting to be the first TV channel to release ML episodes worldwide. So they'll do anything to be first, and if they aren't first, they'll do anything they can to ruin the experience for the fans, be it by sharing as many spoilers as they can, or releasing episodes widely out of order to make sure that the channels who respect the order won't release episodes before them.

The reason we're talking about them a lot lately is because this season the order is very important and there's been a consensus at the start that the channels would release the episodes in order. Gloob also said they'd respect that. The problem is that TFou, the French channel, released a few episodes first in a very short period of time (episode 4-5-6-7-8-9, while Gloob had released 1-2-3 first). TFou made the mistake of skipping episode 5 but it was released a week after - so it was annoying but not that big of a deal.

Gloob got angry that they weren't first to release all these episodes, so to ensure they'd be first next time, they've decided to break the consensus of respecting the order and released last week 2 episodes out of order: we had the first 9 episodes and they've decided to release episodes 12 and 18 on the same day, which breaks the order a lot. Tomorrow, they'll be releasing episode 16, continuing to ruin the experience for the fans (and for the Brazilian fans, because they haven't broadcast yet some earlier episodes). So people are rightfully angry with them hahaha

The reason we're talking about Plusplus is because some Gloob fans have accused the people who are pissed at gloob for releasing the episodes out of order of only being angry at Brazil. Which is obviously stupid and untrue as we're angry at the TV network, so we're reminding them that we were equally pissed off at Plusplus (so a Ukrainian TV network) when they released the finale early.

I hope that was a clear summary of who these TV networks are and the latest drama 😅

Hey Cat! Did you like the new episode?

Okay, I finally watched both Revolution and Representation, and I can say off the bat, Revolution was the stronger of the two.

Obligatory spoiler warning if you're not caught up on ML.

An issue ML has always had is pacing, and I feel like Representation was very info-dumpy at times. Honestly some of that info should have been told in earlier seasons rather than all at once like that, plus it was a weird choice to go with the whole theater performance for that exposition imo, but eh.

Revolution was really good though in my opinion. I like how this season has been all about time or the lack there of. Gabriel is running out of time so he is taking bigger and bolder actions because he's getting desperate to accomplish his goal. On the other hand, Adrien and Marinette have been taking their relationship slow because they thought they had more time, but Gabriel's fuck up is becoming their problem too. There are a lot of moving parts this season for better and worse.

I loved seeing Adrien trying to communicate with Marinette but as always his father was in the way (indirectly this time through Chloe but still). I loved their kiss scene. You could say I'm a fan of big dramatic gut punching kisses like that as I've written one myself for them before. I love that Nathalie and Gorilla ship Adrinette (Gorilla tearing up after pulling them apart in the end that's adriens real dad yall!). Adrien trying to open the car door hurt my heart so much.

Then the whole Ladybug and Chat Noir growing up part. 💘 That was a top knuckle touch moment. I kind of wish it had come during a bigger battle like a season finale or some such, but it was still a touching moment with the citizens of Paris rising up to fight for them.

I also loved Marinette throwing Chloe's shit right back at her in the end. I know Chloe is young and deserves more redemption than Gabriel fucking lock my son in a padded cell because he won't break up with his girlfriend and I'm an adult psychopath Agreste, but at the same time, it's vindicating to see her lose everything. I've always thought that in order for Chloe to change she needed real consequences to her actions, and while I'm not holding my breath for a Chloe redemption, this is definitely going to do something to her for better or worse.

Representation was the weaker of the two imo. It just felt very disjointed and anticlimactic. I know it's setting up the finale, but it was kind of boring imo. The best part was Chat Noir fighting Gabriel and screaming his feelings at him. It's rare that Adrien gets to cutloose and speak his mind, especially to his father, so I did enjoy him telling his dad to get fucked. And how even when his whole world is falling apart, he still left his lady a cute voice-mail.

I am so OOOOOOO at the almost reveal. We could've had it alllllllllll. If he had stayed for 2 more seconds!! They were right there!! I hate them so much! I love them, but AHHHHH 😤

I did also like that Nino wore Marinette's crown the whole episode 😂 It wasn't much but it made me laugh.

Idk how I feel about Kagami and Felix knowing Marinette's identity, but I'm guessing since the finale is next and this is the end of the Agreste arc it likely won't matter much.

Idk. Overall, this season has been better than other ones as far as getting things moving and actually delving into the plot, which is interesting, but at the same time, I think they rushed a lot of things the past couple seasons. Again, pacing is a huge issue with this show, and I think if they just adjusted the sequence of events and spread some of the plot out more it would be a great show. I would have loved for Felix to be fleshed out more prior to Feligami happening. Senti theory should have been confirmed in s3, and we should have gotten that backstory back then. Or at least sprinkled throughout s4.

Curious for the finale. I'll be ranking the s5 episodes as well as adding them to my overall episode ranking after the finale airs and giving my final thoughts about the show as a whole up to this point. After that, I think I'm gonna take a bit of a break from ML. I'm going to visit my sister in a few weeks to see Taylor Swift (!!!) So, maybe I'll be back in August. I do also have a Zelink fic swirling around in my brain, so I might dive into that too. Idk I haven't written in like 6-7 months. I've been slow roasting some ideas though. I'm not completely abandoning ML, I promise! I will definitely stick around through at least mid s6 as far as keeping up with episodes, then depending on how s6 is going with the new writers will determine if I stay longer term. If I did drop off from watching canon tho, I'd likely still write fic for a while. I do love the kiddos and have lots of ideas left for them. You're not all rid of me yet.

The show just got a statistically significant segment of the fanbase into regurgigating the exact type of manipulative rhetoric that actual abusers use to shut down their victims.

"Oh, abuse victims are just too emotionally immature and volatile to deserve autonomy, informed choices, or control over their own life. It's just better to infantilise them and lie to them and keep them under someone else's control. They're not good enough to deal with the burden of full human rights!"

This is also what many child abuse victims in the target audience, who identified with Adrien and were looking forward to the empowering abuse survivor arc that the narrative all along had seemed to promise, are going to take away from this. (Not helped by what Astruc is spouting on Twitter.)

"You didn't deserve an abuse survivor arc. Just because you wanted one, doesn't mean that anyone else did, or that it was the right thing to do. It was the wrong thing to want. Abuse victims don't deserve to become survivors. You overstepped by wanting it. Step back, admit you were wrong, reduce your expectations, and diminish yourself again."

To the people who needed the denied abuse survivor arc the most, this disappointment will be both crushing, yet quite easy to internalise – after all, it's the exact same thing their abusers have been telling them all along.

By this point, I think it’s safe to say that Miraculous Ladybug is not about ‘girl power’.  Not in the way that’s traditionally meant.  Rather than empowering girls, it’s about disempowering them – presenting the idea of girls having any kind of power as problematic.

The series twists itself into knots blaming Marinette for everything that goes wrong, following the most inane lines of ‘logic’ imaginable.  It is far more invested in convincing its audience that she IS to blame for things far out of her control, that she is responsible for everything bad that happens.  Her, and perhaps a few other characters as well… namely Chloe, Alya, Lila…

Oh, Adrien?  Why, Adrien hasn’t done anything wrong.  How could you even suggest such a thing?  No, no, Adrien is perfect just the way he is, hasn’t made a single misstep anywhere.  There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

And what makes this all so much more disturbing is how it’s working.  How much of the fanbase mindlessly parrots the party line, cheering on her suffering and insisting that she ’deserves it’, that her misery is well warranted.  This is not and has never been a show about uplifting and supporting young girls; it is about tearing them down and punishing them for not catering to spoiled brats like Adrien.  Teaching them that this is the way things are meant to be.

What is this going to teach impressionable young girls? If you have a crush on a popular guy that other girls like, they’re are immediately your enemies. It’s natural for girls to be pinned against eachother for the stupidest reasons. Teaching girls to turn against each other and mistreat each other like the common stereotype. That their only good people if they bend over backwards for the person they like even though their crush doesn’t do the same.

It’s disgusting.

Well anon, you've essentially summed up the reason why I quit watching this show.

Like the whole ending of the season being that Marinette loses all of the other miraculouses but still has AdriChat is devastating. Like:

A. AdriChat being solely depended on is not a healthy thing. He's not going to have all the answers MariBug needs, and his perspective is limited.

B. MariBug wasn't going to other holders because she couldn't trust AdriChat - it was because the scale and intensity of their fights was getting to be too much for the two of them to handle on their own.

C. AdriChat has proven that he's not entirely trustworthy anyway - like he was pulling shit all the way back in s1, but his actions in s3 and s4 are the most telling. And unlike MariBug, who always has to learn a lesson, even when it doesn't make sense, or makes up for her mistakes, Adrien's "mistakes" don't even count as mistakes because hE cOuLd NeVeR!

Like most magical girl anime, even the ones that really lean into power of love, aren't like this. They encourage friendship and teamwork and relying on each other, not just your love interest. How ML manages to be MG-inspired but miss that entirely is beyond me.

Day 9 is finallly here!! Sorry it’s kinda late. I was kinda busy helping my lil sister make a decision about college haha. Anywho, I hope you enjoy this chapter! It has a lillllll bit of Marichat in it but I promise it gets to Adrienette! Also, be warned there is a LOT of Strikeback/s4 finale spoilers in this chapter! If you stilll haven’t seen that ep I strongly suggest doing so bc it’s so good :D

Marinette hummed lightly to herself as she worked on her latest design. Chat was lazily reclined on her chaise, tossing his baton up and down. Every so often she would shoot a fond glance over at him. He had started coming over more recently and Marinette found herself enjoying the quiet company. She had needed his presence after Hawkmoth had stolen every last miraculous from her lest she break down into another panic attack. Of course, Chat didn’t know that. 

Not for the first time Marinette wished she could share her identity with the superhero. Unthinkingly, her eyes drifted to where the empty miracle box was still hidden away, fighting back against the wave of guilt and shame that hit her.

“So...,” Chat started and she dragged her gaze away from the hiding spot to blink over at him curiously. “Did you ever end up confessing to Buttercup?”

A bright blush lit up Marinette’s cheeks as she nibbled on her lower lip. Her thoughts drifted to Adrien for a brief moment before she tensed up, recalling just how badly she messed up when she mistook him for Felix. Shoving the panic away, she drew in a deep, calming breath. Slowly, Marinette shook her head. “N-no, I didn’t. I got so busy that I didn’t really have much time to.”

And when I thought I finally had the perfect moment to confess to him... both Lila and Chloé messed it up, she added to herself. 

“But you came up with that purrfect speech and everything.” Chat frowned.

“It’s alright, Chat. It’s nothing new for me,” Marinette said with a small sigh before chuckling. “I’m just sorry I dragged you into this whole mess. My friend told me that practice would sharpen my sword so to speak.”

He threw his head back in a loud laugh at that. “What?”

She giggled too, her blue eyes sparkling with mirth. “I didn’t understand either. You’ll have to ask Kagami what she meant by that.”

“Wait... Kagami told you to practice a love confession on someone else?” Chat’s eyes practically bulged out of her head. 

“Yes,” Marinette nodded her head while holding back snickers. “And believe it or not she got the idea from reading manga. Which is why I’m sorry for practicing on you. I thought she had read it from a Psychology book or something.”

“Wow... I didn’t know Kagami had it in her,” he muttered and she felt a brush of indignation on her friend’s behalf for a brief moment. She was about to open her mouth to scold him when Chat continued, “Regardless, I think she was right about the practice. Especially if you still haven’t confessed yet. So, I wanted to offer an idea...”

Marinette frowned suspiciously. This seemed strange. Crossing her arms against her chest, she said warily, “What idea?”

Chat bounced on the chaise eagerly, his green eyes gleaming at her mischievously. “Well, I know someone who I’m purrety certain can help with this purrticular mission.”

Rolling her eyes at the cat puns, she scoffed. “You’re kidding me.”

“Nope, I’m pawsitively serious.”

Shooting Chat a fond smile, Marinette asked, “And what makes you think that this person would even want to help?”

“Trust me. They wouldn’t mind.” His lips twitched into a smirk as he gazed back at her mischievously.

Raising one eyebrow at him, she shook her head before turning back to her design. “Fine, Chat. If you can find someone who... for some reason doesn’t mind helping me with my love life then be my guest.”

“Alright,” he chirped back.

With another roll of her eyes, Marinette continued to sketch the rough outline of her work, enjoying the quiet, warmth that had settled back over the room. There was no way that Chat would be able to find someone who would even slightly want to talk about Adrien with her. Putting his promise to the back of her mind, Marinette’s tongue stuck out with concentration as she debated over adding ruffles or not.

After Chat had left and she had crawled into bed with a tired yawn, their entire discussion flew from her mind as she drifted to sleep. It wasn’t until the next day that she even remembered what they talked about. 

For once Marinette was early as she slid into her desk seat. It had been hard for her to sleep lately. She swallowed a lump in her throat as the nightmare from last night flashed in her vision. Lately, Adrien’s gentle, smiling face had been turning into Felix’s cold, devilish one. Shivering slightly, Marinette slumped her head down onto her desk with a quiet groan.

She heard someone slide into the seat next to her and she quietly murmured, “Hey, Alya.”

A deep, familiar chuckle hit her ears causing her to pop her head up with alarm. Sat next to her was Adrien with a sheepish, almost nervous grin on his face. His hand came up to scratch the back of his neck as he said, “Sorry to disappoint.”

“No, no! T-that’s not... I-I mean, you’re not a disappointment... disappointing me!” Marinette gave him a wide, awkward smile, shifting slightly in her seat. She itched to smack her palm into her forehead. Just how many times did she have to stumble her words around Adrien before she was finally completely comfortable with him?

“Great!” His grin quickly grew happier as he stared into her eyes. 

Clearing her throat, Marinette began to fidget with her hands. “I, uh... d-did you need something, Adrien?”

His gaze grew determined as he nodded his head. “Mhm. I’m here as a favor to a mutual friend of ours.”

Her brow furrowed in confusion. Mutual friend? What mutual friend? It couldn’t be Alya or Nino... could it? With a small blink, she hesitantly asked, “Alya didn’t put you up to this, did she?”

“Nope. It’s not Alya or Nino.” Adrien stared at her pointedly, almost like she was forgetting something vitally important.

But what could she possibly be forgetting? She couldn’t imagine one of the girls putting him up to this... at least, not without calling a meeting first. Her frown deepened as she thought back. A sudden thought struck her and panic shot straight through to her heart. No... it couldn’t be... could it?

Quietly, she choked out. “You don’t mean...”

“Yep!” Adrien practically cheered even as her heart sank with dread. “I’m on Mission Buttercup now.”

Oh, Marinette was screwed. Giving him a wide, frightened smile, she shook her head quickly. “Oh no no! D-don’t worry about cat. I mean that. I didn’t think Chat was being serious a-and besides I wouldn’t want to take up any more of your time.”

“You’re not taking up any of my time. Don’t even think about that,” he waved her words off. “Besides I feel like I haven’t seen you in so long. Ever since my father canceled my trip around the world it seems like you’ve been so busy with other things. Maybe this way we’ll be able to spend more time together. I’ve missed being with you.”

Marinette gulped, wishing she could just shut her eyes and forget this whole day was even happening. Yes, she had been avoiding Adrien after the train incident. Every time she saw his face it was like all she could see was her failure. 

Gnawing on her lower lip, she gazed back into his eager green eyes. There was such a happy, boyish grin on his face that she couldn’t find the will to say no. Berating herself already, Marinette’s voice cracked as she said, “A-alright.”

Adrien practically whooped with excitement. “Great! So, what do I do?”

How on earth was she supposed to tell him that just being himself was enough? Practically gasping for air, she shook her head at him. “Don’t worry about anything for now, Adrien. Project Buttercup’s been put on hold for the foreseeable future. B-but I’ll let you know if anything comes up.”

There! That made enough sense... right? 

Ugh, just how on earth had Chat managed to get Buttercup himself in Project Buttercup? Groaning internally, Marinette reached up to rub her temples.

Adrien’s lower lip jutted out in a small pout and she had to fight back the urge to lean in and kiss it away. “Are you sure? Chat said that you two had practiced your confession. I mean... I could always help with that too.”

Marinette’s lips parted at the idea. Her... practicing her confession on Adrien... to Adrien. Just the thought of it was enough to cause her heart to thump wildly in her chest.

Maybe you could get him to practice kissing too. A dark, mischievous voice rang out through her mind. Shaking her head roughly at the idea, she shoved aside her daydreams to give Adrien another awkward grin. “T-then you should also know that we pretty much figured that part out! Thanks for the offer though!”

His brow furrowed as he pursed his mouth, tapping his chin in thought. “There has to be something I can help with.”

“Listen, Adrien, I...,” Marinette started before she got cut off by Adrien snapping his fingers.

“I got it! What if we go around Paris and try to find the best place for you to confess to Buttercup?!” Adrien practically squirmed in his seat with excitement, gazing at her like her approval meant everything to him. 

Swallowing roughly, she opened her mouth to tell him thank you, but that wouldn’t be necessary. Instead, all that came out was a strained, “Ok.”

“Great!” He scrambled up out of his seat. “I’ve already thought of some ideas. I’ll go write them down.”

Marinette simply hummed back at him, a grimace on her face as she clenched her eyes shut tightly. What had she gotten herself into? Scrubbing a hand down her face, she hoped that she hadn’t just made a stupid mistake.

speaking of Hawkmoth, imagine how scary it must be to be a Parisian. He said he'd watch every single thing they did, hunt them in their dreams and wreak non-stop havoc. And yet, they still rallied for ladybug. I got so emotional at that.

Lila just looks so unimpressive standing right next to Felix. she couldn't achieve in 4 seasons what he did in less than 5 episodes.

Someone get Nathalie away from the drama, this woman needs to rest up

I'm glad ladybug admitted she mistreated chat basically all season. She was able to recognize her mistake. maybe the writing has hope just yet.

In conclusion, I was floored by this finale. It took twists and turns I didn't expect out of Miraculous and it was such an emotional ride, especially for long time viewers who've grown with ladybug and want to see her succeed. It hurt me on a personal level to see Ladybug kicked down to the ground, feeling like she lost everything. Then Chat telling her they'd rebuild, taking back each miraculous one by one. What a finale. The best one yet. I can't wait for the movie and I can't wait for season five.

Welcome to the beginning of my Marichat May prompts hehe. I hope you enjoy my lil oneshots from this month <3. Today’s chap is just some fluff after the angst of Strikeback so there’s definite spoilers for that episode if you haven’t seen it yet :)

With a quiet sigh, Marinette pushed open the trapdoor leading to her balcony. It had been a long day. It had been her first day back at school after having made that catastrophic mistake as Ladybug. Trying to focus on her lessons and act like everything was completely fine was impossible. The only thing that Marinette could think about was Hawmoth using the bunny miraculous to go back in time and get her miraculous before she ever used it or the rooster miraculous to gain the power to read her thoughts and learn her plan before she could enact it. 

All in all, it had been a day where Marinette took barely any notes. Thank god for Alya. Her best friend knew exactly what was going on and was there for her the entire day. She had even mentioned getting together later over the weekend to discuss anything Marinette may have missed.

Heaving another sigh, she tilted her head up to the night sky. Her eyes fluttered closed as she enjoyed the light breeze brushing against her face. Would anyone notice if she just stayed like this for the rest of time? A peaceful night with no akuma attacks. Marinette leaned against her railing, finally releasing some of the tension from her day. 

“Hey, purrincess.” A voice called from behind her.

With a slight squeak of surprise, Marinette whirled around. There, sat in her chair like he owned it, was Chat Noir. Her heart rate picked up speed just at the sight of him. This was her partner. She couldn’t be feeling butterflies around him no matter how she had been feeling after his speech to her when she had been trapped in her own mind. And besides, she wasn’t even Ladybug at the moment. With a quick mental scold to herself and a shake of her head, Marinette raised her eyebrow at him. “What are you doing here, Chat?”

“Just dropping by to check up on my favorite civilian,” he responded with a smirk.

She giggled with a roll of her eyes. “And you needed to sit on my balcony chair to do that?”

“Come on purrincess.” Chat pushed himself off of her chair, leaning closer to her. “Wouldn’t you say that this is our balcony by now?”

Her cheeks flushed a light pink at his words uncontrollably. Stop it, Marinette scolded herself again. Taking a small step back to clear her head, she took in a small, much-needed breath of air. “No, I’m pretty certain that this is still my balcony.”

He tsked, putting a hand to his chest. “You wound me.”

With a scoff, Marinette shook her head at him. He was so dramatic. “So, what are you really doing here, kitty?”

Chat pouted over at her but she simply kept her pointed stare fixed on his eyes. After a brief pause, he finally heaved a sigh. “If you pawsitively must know, a little birdy told me that you seemed down and distracted in class today. So, consider me your knight in shining leather.” He leaned down in a bow, shooting a wink up at her. “Here to cheer you up and keep you amused.”

Marinette snickered, a hand covering her mouth as she grinned down at him. She couldn’t believe Alya had spoken to him but once again she was eternally grateful to her best friend. How Alya knew exactly what she needed was beyond her. “Thank you for the offer, Chaton, but I’ll be okay. I’m sure you have more important things to deal with as Paris’ superhero anyway. You can tell Alya thank you as well, though.”

“Alya?” He frowned at her, looking almost confused as he stood up straight again.

She blinked at him in shock. Was it not Alya who had told him? But that didn’t make sense... who else would have known that she had been upset that day? “Yeah,” Marinette said hesitantly. “Was it not Alya who told you?”

“Not purrcisely...” Chat trailed off, scratching the back of his neck. “It was actually another classmate of yours.”

Now it was her turn to frown over at him. “Then who?”

His eyes seemed to dart around, almost as though he were avoiding her gaze. She was about to question him on it when his next words practically stopped her heart from beating in her chest. “It was uh, actually Adrien Agreste.”

Marinette practically choked at that. Adrien... and Chat Noir... talking about her. Was there a way to get the floor to swallow her up? Just imagining her two favorite and most important boys talking about her made her suddenly feel dizzy. Plus, if Adrien had sent Chat over then that meant he had been paying enough attention to her to see how stressed she was. Ok, she was now officially convinced that this was all one big dream.

“You two are friends, right?” Chat blurted out as Marinette was still struggling to gather all of her thoughts together. 

Maybe... maybe this wasn’t a dream. Shaking her head, she attempted to give him a weak smile. “Yeah, we are. I-I guess I just didn’t realize that he noticed. N-neither of you needs to worry, though. I promise I’m not in any danger of being akumatized. I just had a bad day today.”

“Well, that’s meowvelous. I would hate to fight against you, purrincess,” Chat said with a small grin on his face.

All at once, Marinette suddenly felt her tension fade away. Chat was one of the sweetest guys she knew. Taking a step closer to him, she smiled. “Don’t worry, kitty. I promise that you’ll never have to.”

There was a brief pause where they just stood there, grinning at each other until Marinette eventually shook her head. “A-and if you could tell Adrien thank you for me... I’d really appreciate it.”

“Why don’t you tell him yourself instead,” Chat said, a glimmer of something appearing in his green eyes. “I’m purrety sure he’d appreciate chat ting with you. Especially because he’s staying in Paris now.”

She blinked, opening her mouth before eventually nibbling her lip with a light blush on her cheeks. After another moment, she nodded her head, murmuring softly, “Alright, I will.”

“Pawsome!” He beamed over at her.

With another small giggle, Marinette took another step closer to Chat, brushing a small kiss on his cheek. “And thank you again for checking up on me, mon Chaton. You really helped to turn my day around.”

“It was my pleasure, Marinette,” he said with a soft look in his eyes as she pulled back. Extending his baton, he nodded to the city of Paris. “I’ll see you around.”

Giving him one last wave, she watched him bounce out into their beautiful city. She sighed quietly to herself one last time. For the first time in a while, she was really starting to feel better.

S4 Finale - Parallels and other references to previous episodes

RISK

Risk opened in an almost identical scene that happens at the beginning of Kuro Neko, showing us they did mend a bit their relationship while still being fragile

Rena watching over is a recall to Rocketear 

The cinema mention reminds me of Syren in which Marinette yet again would arrive late to see a movie. But also to Truth where it was mentionned she missed almost every projections of the movie that Luka and her wanted to see, including the very last one. 

The discussion between Marinette and Adrien feels in continuity with what was talked about during Wishmaker.

Chloé interrupting Marinette and pushing her to the side reminded me of the scene in Bubbler in which Marinette was trying to give Adrien his birthday gift at school

The Cafeteria scene parallels the one in Chameleon.

Adrien refers to what Félix has done during the episode that introduce him to us. Even the basketball is back along with the discussion to how Adrien is always obeying his father.

Félix with the secret safe in Gabriel’s office reminds me of how Adrien and Plagg checked the content of that safe at the beginning of Volpina. Except Félix is way better prepared, knows what he is looking for and has different motivations than his cousin.

Félix’s discovery the secret room and Émlie parallels how Adrien discovered it during Ephemeral.

What is said during the quick scene between Nathalie and Gabriel in Nathalie’s room reminds me of the opening of the Félix episode when Gabriel was cleaning both rings.

Marinette is reusing the fairytale analogy Marc and Nate explained to her during the Gabriel Agreste episode. Replacing however herself with LB

The scene at the train station reminds me of when Marinette gave Adrien a letter before his weekend trip to London with the Tsurugis during Backwarder.

While Félix might be unaware, Ladybug might be interpreting the “unlike you, I am not a superhero” words as Adrien’s failure as Aspik during Desperada.

Shadow Moth being present at the Eiffel tower seems to recall the S2 finale as Scarlet Moth.

STRIKE BACK

Félix’s reaction after discovering the Miraculous is a fake reminds me of when HM discovered he had been tricked during Dark Owl

When Chat Noir says he will use his cataclysm, the discussion feels like a role reversal when Cat Walker and Ladybug didn’t know if Kuro Neko was for sure a senti or an akumatized.

As they start arguing about the secret identity, Chat Noir mentions stuff he was avoiding to say for half a season (Optigami and Rocketear).

Chat Blanc ref obviously. I also like that in the French dub, LB says CN doesn’t know the whole story, because he wasn’t with her during that episode (and ironically, LB doesn’t exactly knows how CN was akumatized either).

the Mayor references back his passion for cinema which we learned more about in Sole Crusher.

The Helicopter bits reminds me of the one in Simpleman.

This bit with the Kwamis is a nice little recall to S2-S3 opening

Ladybug explaining her magic portal inside her yoyo reminds me how she told Alya it now comes with her Guardian role during Gang of Secrets.

Ladybug’s praise to Flairmidable for succeeding on the first try is in continuity with Desperada when Adrien failed over 23K times as Aspik during Desperada.

The Sewers. An iconic place for LB and CN to detransform. Yet it feels... wrong because we know it is actually Félix.

Because of the Pega Bug mention, I keep remembering her use during Sentibubbler. 

When Alya and LB talks, there are refs to Gang of Secrets, Optigami and Rocketear. 

I see in Alya’s reaction the opposite of Chloé’s reaction during Miraculer.

HM with all the Miraculous of the Miracle Box is Ladybug’s nightmare at the beginning of Sentibubbler coming true.

HM’s usage of the butterflies to talk is an obvious recall to Origins.

Chat Noir giving his hand is a callback to both Kuro Neko, but also Ephemeral
