MK1 Christmas Headcanons🎄🎅🤶✨🌨️

Do I care that it’s only November 1st? No, no I don’t.

-Claudia and Johnny used to love Christmas as kids, but Claudia stopped celebrating it after they fell out and left home, while Johnny was famous for his big Christmas parties during the high of his career, but secretly missed how he used to celebrate it with Claudia

-now that they have made up tho, the Carltons are definitely planning to celebrate it together this year

-among the Lin Kuei, holidays weren’t banned, more of like barely celebrated as they were viewed as “distracting” towards being trained to protect earthrealm, so some would exchange some gifts for Christmas but that was it

-in the Shirai Ryu tho, they go a little more festive for Christmas, and Tomas actually convinces Kuai to put up and decorate a Christmas tree

-there actually is a Christmas equivalent in Outworld! It is called “The Feast Of The Winter Moon” and unlike on earth, a blue moon is extremely rare in Outworld and only happens once a year, on the day that corresponds to Christmas on earth

-Outworlders would exchange gifts on this day, eat to their heart’s content, dance and drink until they fall down, the feast is known to go from starting early in the morning and ending not until the next morning

-Ashrah, being from the Netherrealm, had no idea what The Feast Of The Winter Moon was and when Syzoth first introduced it to her, it actually became her favorite holiday

-The Feast Of The Winter Moon actually does have a mistletoe equivalent! And does Johnny use it? Yes he does! Does this end with him probably getting injured? Yes, absolutely!

-The Feast Of The Winter Moon also consists of a one giant feast in or near the Palace for the residents of Sun Do, one of the few times where the public gets to enter or be near the royal residence

-Kung Lao, Johnny, Min Le, Claudia and Tomas are all “Christmas music right after Halloween” and Kuai Liang and Kenshi are strictly “no Christmas music until December 1st, and Raiden doesn’t really care

-Claudia and Johnny start a tradition where they do a livestream on Christmas Day, leading many people to speculate they were dating (as the world had no idea they were siblings) and when asked about it, Johnny is just “can’t a guy hang out with his sister in peace?” and the internet loses their minds

-I’d like to think that Liu Kang and Geras have their own little Christmas Day celebration, just a little breakfast together, something simple

-Christmas Eve celebration at Madame Bo’s!!!!

I woke up from a nap a few minutes ago and had the WEIRDEST dream of the muppets interacting with MK1 characters (Claudia, Rhyolite, Yumi and Riptide were there too)

Shenanigans included

-Miss Piggy absolutely thirsting over almost all of the male characters

-Smoke is low key terrified, Kuai Liang is confused and Bi Han is just annoyed

-and of course everyone being surprised at Miss Piggy’s frightening amount of strength

-Miss piggy also nearly kidnapped Johnny

-Fozzy, Rhyolite and Kung Lao were all just firing off terrible jokes and puns

-Yumi punting Sam the eagle and Pepe the prawn

-Shang Tsung tried to experiment on Gonzo to figure out what species he is before he was saved by Riptide

-Rowlf just generally getting along with everyone

-scooter was way too shy around all of the pretty ladies that he hid behind Kermit nearly the entire time

-speaking of Kermit, he had to yell at Miss Piggy when she would not get off of Mileena’s throne

-Smoke having to calm down Riptide after she got riled up by Statler and Waldorf

Altogether a VERY weird dream but very funny and interesting crossover

Mortal Kombat Oc Headcanons lets go (why am I calling this headcanons, I control their canon)

-Seraphina and Tomas are the two most stealthiest of the Lin Kuei/Shirai Ryu and definitely used it to play pranks when they were younger

-absolute hide and seek champions

-Yumi was a surprise baby, as Sindel and Jerrod decided they were done after Kitana and Mileena were born

-she was also a very sickly child, making her much shorter and weaker than her sisters as children, so she hit her growth spurt much later than they did

-Claudia secretly kept a Photo Booth picture of she and Johnny as kids when they were still estranged, she still has it

-Long Fei and Ai Xue (parents to the Lin Kuei bros+sis) were an arranged marriage

-Long Fei’s side of the family has a long history of elemental magic, mainly fire and earth, he was arranged to married Ai Xue due to her family history of ice magic

-Min Le first showed signs of earth magic when she was only six and threw a tantrum, where her stomping started a small earthquake and dislodged the ground around her

-Yumi was left on her own as a kid sometimes, which is why she started studying earthrealm, mainly mythology of different cultures

-Claudia has a black belt in taekwondo, she got it during college mainly for self defense and just because she could

-Yumi is infuriated whenever no one believes her and Mileena that Kitana was an absolute little shit as a child

-as a kid, Seraphina took great pleasure in startling Bi Han, which is a good part of how she got so stealthy in the first place

-Seraphina’s native language is that of Madinatan, which is similar to arabic. Since she hasn’t had a need to speak it living on earth, she’s very rusty

-Min Le is a picky eater

-unless it comes to a mission, Seraphina normally can’t sit still, she always needs to be moving

-Claudia gets Seraphina some hair care products sometimes because Seraphina’s hair is so thick and curly and being a shirai ryu probably doesn’t have a salary

-Claudia and Johnny will both use the phrase “it smells like it’s gonna rain”, full on exposing themselves as midwesterners and everyone else being MAD confused

-Seraphina and Min Le eventually learn some Czech so they can both talk to Tomas in his native language

-bonus! edenians can’t get drunk off of human alcohol and to humans, Outworld alcohol is EXTREMELY strong

-Drunk Seraphina is really sappy and laughs at everything, drunk Claudia cries over anything and drunk Yumi is just brutally honest

-Seraphina normally sleeps in oversized shirts+shorts

-Min Le is a serial clothing thief, that includes her brothers and Seraphina and she can somehow pull the fit off every time

-Claudia loves puppy chow (it’s basically just Chex mix but way better)

-unbeknownst to most people, Claudia actually is a big foodie. She will try almost anything

-Johnny introduced Yumi to earthrealm music and she actually really loves a lot of 2000’s pop

-some of her favorite songs include Maneater and Promiscuous Girl by Nelly Furtado, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie Minogue, Irreplaceable and Single Ladies by Beyoncé and Poker face by Lady Gaga

-Seraphina is a secret Rihanna stan

-Claudia also enjoys some of 2000’s pop but also loves Kali Uchis

-Min Le loves artists like Kate Bush, The Smiths, Conan Grey, some occasional k-pop and j-pop and also classical

-Seraphina does not like Nitara (for obvious reasons) like many others but has explicit beef with her solely based on the fact that Nitara thought her blood magic superior to water magic and Seraphina just went “bet” and is currently trying to learn how to bend blood

-out of all of my girls, Seraphina is the most hot headed. You get this woman mad, all hell breaks loose. She also can be hella petty too

-on the opposite end of the spectrum, it takes a lot to get Min Le truly angry, mostly because she takes a lot of unjust shit thrown at her but the one thing she will not take is someone underestimating her skills in combat

-when Yumi was born, Kitana and Mileena were NOT happy that they had another sibling, they were very mean towards her for awhile

Summary:It’s another tournament and Yumi is bored of being a champion. It’s the same thing every time. She becomes interested though, when the new champions of Earthrealm show up. She doesn’t know why but she’s sure as they seem different.

This is based off of Confidence by Ocean Alley if you couldn’t already tell by the title

Celebration was alive in Outworld but Yumi was in her room. She stared at herself in the mirror, finishing in braiding her long, dark hair. She adjusted her headpiece and pulled up part of her bodysuit to accentuate her chest. She turned around in the mirror, looking at her entire self.

There was then a knock at the door. “Yes?” Yumi hummed as she spritzed herself with her perfume.

“Princess?” The familiar voice of Tanya came from the other side. “Are you coming?”.

“Yes Tanya” Yumi replied quickly but groaned internally.

Normally, Yumi enjoyed a good party. She was famous across Sun Do for putting them on after all. The festival at the moment was supposed to be special, as it celebrated her late father. He started the martial arts tournament with Lord Liu Kang to foster peace between the realms. Ever since he was killed though, the celebration of his life accompanied the tournament. She missed her father, terribly, and she thought he deserved a celebration of his life. Except it didn’t feel like a celebration.

Her mother, Sindel, had made it feel more like a duty. “Your image is important, Yumi” Sindel’s voice echoed in her head. “You must act for the sake of the Royal house”. Yumi never asked to be scrutinized all the time for everything. She didn’t even like when people called her “princess”. She didn’t feel like she could celebrate the father the way she felt he deserved.

Tanya knocked again and Yumi finally answered the door. “There you are, princess” the guard greeted her with a smile.

“Don’t tell me, my mother sent for me” Yumi remarked.

Tanya shook her head and gestured for her to lead the way. “Not at all, what party could be complete without Outworld’s party girl?”.

Yumi scoffed as she left her room, closing the door behind her. “You are too kind, Tanya, but I see right through it, all the princesses must be present for the royal house’s “image”. She briskly walked past Tanya and straightened her shoulders. She took a deep breath and put on a poised smile. “But you are right, what party would be complete without me?”.

She went into the throne room, where most people were conversating. She glanced over at the thrones to see her mother and sisters weren’t here yet. Good, a little more time for her to actually enjoy the party. She drifted around, chatting and drinking with most of the nobles in court that were present. Many of them talked to her like they were best friends, when Yumi knew a lot of them loved to talk about her behind her back. According to some of the more “stuffy” members in court, she seemed to “forget” that she was princess by how often she was the subject of gossip based on her “antics”.

She was just mindlessly nodding along as a duchess spoke of her vacation when there was a disturbance coming from the other side of the room. The princess looked up to see General Shao had finally arrived and was currently staring down some man she didn’t recognize. Yumi moved closer, to see the man General Shao was probably threatening was standing beside Lord Liu Kang. Near them was also three more men and a woman.

“The earthrealmers” she muttered as she quickly went to go see what was going on. “Finally, things just got interesting”.

She walked up to the confrontation as she heard the General vow, “we will destroy your champion, Liu Kang, he will taste no victory”.

Yumi scoffed, “now that wouldn’t make it fun, now would it?”.

The general turned around, allowing the rest of the earthrealmers and Liu Kang to see her there. The General let out a forced, “your highness”. She just smiled cockily as she knew the General didn’t exactly like her. She didn’t like him either, due to his abrasive nature and often strict lifestyle. He could not do anything to her because he risked execution if he even laid a hand on the princess.

“Always so uptight” she said cooly, “isn’t the purpose of this tournament to foster good will between the realms?”. She moved towards each of the earthrealmers, taking each of them in with a close eye. She stopped at the man in the suit with a sword on his back. He was tall and she thought the best looking out of all of the champions of Earth. With a muscular build and intense, dark eyes. “I mean, I certainly don’t mind the earthrealmers” She remarked while still looking at the man in the suit. She calmly looked towards the General again, “and a tournament isn’t a tournament if there’s no friendly competition”.

“And might I remind you, princess, that your loyalty is to Outworld?” General Shao retorted. She could practically see a vein in his forehead due to how annoyed he was with her already.

She just laughed, “just because I don’t mind the earthrealmers, doesn’t mean you should question my loyalty”. She nonchalantly looked at her nails as she added on with, “just make sure that you can back up all of these threats”. The General’s nostrils flared and he gritted his teeth. If there was one thing she knew he hated, it was having his “power” dumbed down. He believed that many should respect him just based on his victories and strength. But respect was not given, it was earned. His fists clenched tightly and she smirked. “Do it, General, I dare you”.

Shao just stood there fuming for few seconds before he stormed off. Once he was gone, Liu Kang finally acknowledged her existence. “Always witty as ever, princess” He said somewhat tiredly.

Yumi shrugged, waving him off, “I just don’t like bullies. The general may protect us yes, but that does not mean I like him”.

Liu Kang then introduced the princess to his stunned champions. “This is Princess Yumi. Kitana and Mileena’s younger sister”. He then went down the line, “and this is Claudia LaRue, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, and Kenshi Takahashi, and finally, earthrealm’s champion, Raiden”. Raiden was tall, with dark hair in a bun and had somewhat broad shoulders. He looked reasonably muscular and she quickly noticed the amulet hanging at his waist. It was glowing, almost alive, with electricity.

She looked up at the champion, taking a step towards him, “what did you say your name was again?”.

“Raiden, your highness” He introduced himself once again. He seemed a little nervous at how close she was by how he avoided eye-contact.

“You don’t have to call me your highness, Yumi is just fine” she corrected him. She thought for a moment, “Raiden…..isn’t that the God of Thunder and Lightning in Japanese mythology?”. Raiden looked surprised. She laughed, shaking her head. “Am I not allowed to study earthrealm mythology? When you’re the youngest child and won’t be in line for the throne any time soon, you have a lot of time on your hands”.

“Your mother is probably wondering where you are, Yumi” Liu Kang said.

Yumi waved him off, “alright, alright, I know when I’m not wanted”. She then stared at Raiden again with a more intense look than before. “But know this, earthrealmer, you have a long road ahead”. She waved goodbye, “enjoy the party”. She left, sensing all of their eyes on her. She glanced back at Kenshi, who had a mixed expression. Yumi just threw her head back with a laugh.

As soon as Yumi left the throne room though, she didn’t even make it halfway down the hall when she was met by her mother and sisters.

“Where have you been?” Sindel asked.

Yumi shrugged, “what? Can I not mingle among our subjects? I also just met the earthrealmers”.

“Save the mingling for later, sister” Kitana insisted, “we have to start the tournament first”.

Yumi rolled her eyes and her mother glared at her. “We have an image to uphold, Yumi, based on what you’ve done-”.

“Oh really?” Yumi snapped. “You lecture me about “keeping up an image” when you should take a look at your heir!”.

Mileena quickly got up in her sister’s face. “How dare YOU-“.

“Enough!” Sindel snapped and got between her daughters. “We have no time to argue” She told her youngest and oldest daughter. She gestured to the awaiting throne room. “We can talk about this later”. Yumi and Mileena backed away from each other, but were still sharing a fierce stare.

As soon as the tournament began, she was surprised by this seemingly harmless farmer. Raiden easily defeated Li Mei and Reiko. Reiko’s loss was probably her favorite.

Yumi had already escaped from the throne room when Reiko came storming out. “Aaawww, is someone throwing a tantrum?” She chuckled as she swirled her drink in her glass.

Reiko whipped around with a look of furry in his eyes. “That stupid farmer was lucky!” He roared.

“Sure” She giggled as she strolled up to him. She sipped her drink, “and I’m queen of the netherrealm”. He immediately knocked the drink out of her hand and it shattered on the ground. Yumi just stared at it before she slowly looked up at Reiko. “You…..” she laughed to hide her anger, “you-”.

“Do you think I fear you? You are nothing but a spoiled brat” Reiko spat. He poked her in the chest, “you have had nothing but everything handed to you, while I have to shed blood and sweat for everything I’ve had!”.

Yumi grabbed his wrist and twisted. She kneed him in the groin and shoved him to the ground. “And you are nothing but an overgrown man child who can’t stand to lose!”. She angrily stormed off down the hall, muttering curses under her breath.

She remembered the first time she met Reiko. She, Mileena and Kitana were only children when General Shao brought back a young boy from his latest victory at the time. Reiko was a scrappy kid but was a lot nicer than he was now. Anyone could see that if you were raised by General Shao, you were bound to turn out as blood-thirsty as he was.

Later that night, there was a large feast with all sorts of delights. As Yumi was eating, she looked over to see one of the earthrealmers talking Kitana’s ear off. He looked reasonably attractive, with blonde hair, a nice jaw and a charming smile. Yet, he radiated too much arrogance even for her liking. Kitana also sent her repeated glances that told Yumi, “can you believe this man?”. Sitting across from the man and her sister was the only female earthrealmer. She seemed to be annoyed with the man as she ate. There was a certain familiarity in the way she constantly rolled her eyes every time he spoke. It was like whenever Yumi would react whenever Kitana was scolding her.

Yumi’s eyes were starting to glaze over with boredom and she snapped back to reality at a sudden bang. The woman had slammed the table, yelling the phrase, “IF YOU WEREN’T SUCH A SELFISH PRICK, THAN I WOULDN’T BE SO PISSED OFF AT YOU!”. Everyone went silent at her sudden outburst, the music quickly stopping. She realized she had made a scene and quickly excused herself from the banquet. It soon continued like nothing had ever happened and the male earthrealmer went on chatting with Kitana.

Yumi looked around and saw her mother was distracted. She took this as her chance to escape as she already had her fill of food and was already looking for something else to do. She also felt where this woman was coming from.

Yumi could think of countless times where she wanted to blow up at her sisters but she couldn’t. As a princess, she had a “image to keep up” because she had to “act like a lady”. Apparently “ladies” couldn’t give a rightfully yell at their sisters when they absolutely deserved it then. She secretly snatched two glasses of wine as well.

She found the woman sitting alone near a fountain deep in thought. She looked frustrated and probably embarrassed at what she had done.

Yumi strolled over to her and just handed her one of the glasses she held. The earthrealmer looked up, her eyebrows raising in surprise. She quickly stood up, “your highness, I apologize I-”.

“Relax” Yumi insisted with a chuckle, “and just call me Yumi. Claudia right?”.

Claudia nodded and slowly sunk back into her seat. The princess sat down next to her and swirled her drink, taking a sip. There was an awkward silence between the two as the earthrealmer just stared at her drink. “Listen, if you thought that was bad, I’ve done a whole lot worse” Yumi remarked. She placed her drink down next to her, “and I saw how you were glaring at that man, that kind of anger can only happen if you know them well…..a sibling perhaps?”.

Claudia let out a long sigh and let her head fall forward, her dark locks covering part of her face. “How did you know?” She asked.

Yumi scoffed into her glass, “I’ve only seen that kind of death stare whenever either me or Mileena get lectured by Kitana”.

Claudia finally took a sip of her glass. “Johnny is no fucking brother of mine” she snapped, “and I’d rather leave it at that”.

Yumi shrugged, “alright”.

The two sat in silence drinking for a few more minutes as festivities went off in the background. Claudia finished her drink in one long sip. “I can’t imagine being a princess”.

Yumi lazily glanced towards her, “what do you mean?”.

Claudia shrugged. “I don’t know, I’d imagine you’ve got eyes on you, all the time”.

Yumi smiled, almost bitterly. The earthrealmer had gotten it exactly right. She loved her family but sometimes she wished she wasn’t a princess. All eyes on her, no matter what. She wouldn’t be getting the throne anytime soon, that was for Mileena. And Kitana was simply a spare. She was last in line, the last resort, so hypothetically they would be more scrutinized.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. Her entire life she thought that there was nothing else but to follow the rules. It all changed the moment she was sent abroad for schooling. The amount of freedom she was given, it felt like such a rush. It was the most fun she had in years.

Now though, she felt a prisoner in her own home.

“Princess?” Claudia said, getting her attention.

“Yumi” she corrected her.

“Right-sorry” Claudia apologized quickly.

Yumi gestured to the fountain with glass in hand. “If you thought what you did was embarrassing though, did you know I got so wasted one time, I took a nap in this fountain and woke up the next morning?”.

Claudia chuckled, “really?”.

Yumi nodded. She finished her wine and placed the empty glass next to her. “Yep. I was sick for an entire week afterwards and mother was furious and that’s not even the most embarrassing thing I’ve done”.

Claudia tilted her head curiously, “how do you bounce back from that?”.

Yumi shrugged. “I don’t know, it’s all about confidence, I guess”. She then quickly added on with, “and I have got too much dirt on WAY too many nobles to ever “retire” so to speak”.

Claudia sat up at this claim. Yumi just laughed, “calm down, earthrealmer, you won’t be getting to my secrets that easily”.

The next morning was the final day of the tournament. Raiden had managed to defeat nearly all of the champions, only three more stood in his way. Normally it would be Yumi and Mileena along with someone else. But based off the argument she overheard last night between her oldest sister and her mother, Yumi had a feeling that wouldn’t be the case.

Sindel currently sat in front of Raiden, who probably wasn’t expecting the earthrealmer to have come so far. “You continue to surprise, Raiden” Sindel remarked as she sat on her throne that had been brought outside, into the gardens. “Among others, you have defeated Kotal, Motaro and Sheeva. Only three fights remain. Are you ready, earthrealmer?”.

Raiden nodded, squaring his shoulders. “I am, your majesty”.

“Then next, you face one of my daughters, Yumi”.

Yumi could see Raiden’s slightly surprised expression as she appeared. She brandished her shield, silver with purple circular detailing, made by the finest weapon smiths in Outworld. In her other hand was a club, also silver with purple detailing. It was long and slender, the top it was noticeably heavier, for a more painful hit against an opponent.

Yumi grinned under her face mask. “What’s the matter, earthrealmer, assumed I was just a pretty face?”.

Raiden snapped out of his temporary state and got into a fighting stance. “Not all, princess. I am more excited to see how you are as an opponent”.

“Good” Yumi chuckled and banged her club against her shield. “I like a challenge”.

Raiden would soon realize that Yumi absolutely was worthy of being a champion. His lightning seemed almost useless against her shield as it absorbed his strikes. He soon realized that Yumi was equally skilled with her club. Of course Raiden was taught how to go against an opponent with a weapon, but none so fierce as the princess.

He blocked one of her kicks to only be nailed in the head from her club. She bashed the edge of her shield into his chest and he fell down. Raiden pulled himself up, to barely dodge a swift kick to the face. He jumped back out of the way of another swing. She suddenly threw her shield and he ducked. In this split second moment, he knew he had his chance.

He struck her with a blast of electricity and then let loose a barrage of attacks. It was in this brief opening that the tide began to turn against Yumi.

Yumi jumped out of the way of Raiden’s fist and caught her shield. How could this simple farmer be such a formidable fighter? She couldn’t understand. She didn’t want to admit that Raiden had clearly caught her off guard.

She managed to block another blast of lightning when he suddenly grabbed her shield, knocking it out of the way. He kicked her in the stomach and she staggered back. She barely had time to move out of the way when Raiden propelled himself at her with his lightning. Yumi was blown back by the great force and laid crumpled on the ground.

She had lost.

How could she have lost? Yumi had to admit, part of her didn’t think he could win based on his status. She groaned as she felt her head throb. Sitting up, she saw that Raiden was offering his hand.

Yumi reluctantly took it and he helped her up. “You were a challenging opponent princess” Raiden told her. She was almost annoyed by how he didn’t seem happy that he won against her. His humbleness was almost irritating, yet he was so nice, that it was impossible to be angry towards him.

“Thank you, earthrealmer” Yumi replied curtly. She briskly walked past him and sat down next to her mother.

It almost seemed inevitable that Raiden would win. He breezed past Kitana and it seemed to Yumi that he had no problem against the General. Just like that, it was over.

Yumi watched the earthrealmers as they left and particularly was glaring slightly at Raiden. She relented as she could feel Kitana was watching her. “That Raiden in infuriatingly humble” She remarked sharply.

Kitana scoffed, “upset you lost, sister?”.

Yumi relaxed and stood up. She shook her head, “no, no, no I’ll live. You know it takes a lot more than that to make me overworked”. Her annoyed expression was soon replaced with a look of mischief. She had quickly noticed Raiden constantly glancing towards Kitana the entirety of the tournament. She was surprised that Kitana didn’t notice.

“I don’t like that look, sister” Kitana frowned.

Yumi raised an eyebrow, “so you didn’t notice Raiden constantly looking towards you the entire tournament”.

“You’re messing with me”. Yumi giggled. Kitana with romance was like a fish on land. She couldn’t flirt to save her life, but she normally didn’t care enough to try. Kitana sensed that her sister wasn’t lying and just rolled her eyes. “Raiden might be nice, and even if you were right, it is unwelcomed”.

Yumi groaned, “you are no fun”.

“I’m surprised you weren’t interested in him” Kitana said as she stood up from her throne.

“I considered it but he’s a little too plain for my taste” Yumi told her. They started to walk back inside as the younger thought about the man with the sword. “The swordsman though, he was handsome”.

Kitana groaned, “you are the worst”.

Yumi grinned cockily, “no one could say I wasn’t confident, sister”.

Appearance:Min Le is about the average height of a Chinese woman, with short, wavy, black hair that sits just above her shoulders. She’s got dark brown eyes with a usually bright smile.

Min Le has a lean build with somewhat muscular arms due to her training. She’s got some scars on her shoulders from sparring and a burn scar on her knee from a childhood accident.

Default outfit is the standard Lin Kuei/Shirai Ryu uniform but in a muted red. Her mask is a dark red and is reminiscent of a rhino beetle with pointed ends (like part of it points upwards and the bottom part points downwards)

Backstory:Min Le was born to the grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, Huojin and his wife, Ai xue, almost two months premature. She was already a difficult pregnancy for her mother and it was feared that neither baby or mother would survive the first few days after she was born.

Thankfully, Min Le and Ai Xue would survive. Ai Xue would be severely weakened by giving birth, but that did not stop her from being a loving mother. Min Le was very close to her mother and father as both were overjoyed to have a daughter of their own. She resembled her mother mostly, leaving Huojin to always say, “Min Le is just as pretty as her mother”.

Kuai Liang, Bi Han and Tomas were extremely happy to have a little sister and Min Le would go onto have a very sibling-like relationship as well. Yet, out of all of her brothers, she seemed to be attached to Bi Han the most. As a baby, if she would cry, he would usually be the first to pick her up and console her. Their relationship would quickly change after their mother passed.

Min Le was four when her mother passed away from illness. Bi Han would become more distant towards his sister, as he was closer to his mother than his father. He would partially blame Min Le for their mother dying as her birth resulted in their mother’s weakened state, which allowed her to get sick more easily. Despite this, Min Le was still too young to understand and was confused why Bi Han was so cold towards her. Huojin would become somewhat protective over Min Le as well, as she was the last bit of his wife he had left. This would further distance Bi Han and Min Le apart as Bi Han believed that their father was showing favoritism towards her.

As Min Le got older, it soon became apparent that she showed an affinity for earth magic. This wasn’t surprising as she, Kuai Liang and Bi Han all come from a long line of elemental magic users. She would also be trained in the use of a Chuí (a type of hammer) that resembled a sledgehammer. She continued to stay close to her brothers but Bi Han would stay cold towards her. Min Le still idolized her older brother.

She eventually graduated to rank of a full Lin Kuei, yet her brothers would continue to be protective over her, not letting her go on certain missions. She now longs to prove herself to be just as strong as her siblings.

-appearance:a tall woman, at about 5’10, Yumi has a fair complexion with a bit of a slender face. She resembles mostly her sister Kitana in terms of facial features though. She’s got long black hair normally worn in a braid that stops at her mid back and wears a smaller version of Kitana’s headpiece (Tiara? Idk what it’s called) that sits the crown of her head. Yumi is tall and slender, just like her sisters, very swan-like.

Default outfit is mostly similar to Mileena’s but in lilac with silver accents. She has arm guards like Kitana’s and does not have leg guards like Mileena has. She has sheer pink short train-thing (think of sort of like a bustle but much shorter-I’m so sorry I can’t describe this well) that sits on her hips and covers her butt.

Backstory:the youngest child of Sindel and Jerrod and third in line for the throne, Yumi knew from a young age she’d have less responsibility than her older sisters. Mileena was the heir and Kitana was next in line if anything would happen to her twin. So, Yumi was free of the responsibility of leading the empire. Despite her “interesting” reputation as an adult, as a child, she was actually a strict rule follower. Even more of a “goody two-shoes” than Kitana.

She was also quite intelligent, excelling in her studies. She also learned to fight alongside her sisters, coming to be skilled with a shield and club. Yet, compared to her sisters, Yumi was much less “like a princess” than her sisters. She was a bit of an ugly duckling to put it bluntly.

At age 14, she was sent to a boarding school to further her studies. She was gone for four long years, but often wrote to her parents and sisters. Finally, she returned to Sun Do on her 18th birthday and her transformation was eye-opening to say the least. She had grown several inches and had clearly grown into her looks. She was a lot more talkative, confident, but most noticeable, more reckless and less eager to follow the rules like she was before.

When it came to her parents, Yumi loved them but began to butt heads with them after she returned from her schooling. She didn’t like them “breathing down her neck”. On the night Jerrod died, the last words Yumi said to him “I hate you, father, just get out of my life!”. Yumi almost never lets anything bother her, but this was the exception.

Going into adulthood, Yumi basically became the “it girl” of Sun Do. Many would copy her sense of style and it was a sign of status if you were invited to her parties. She was also a great source of scandal though, from public intoxication or even having affairs “just for fun”. Yet, no one can deny that Yumi knew how to work a room and is surprisingly good at diplomacy as she knows exactly what to say to get on a person’s good side.
