Today is the day of Michael Jackson’s passing, and I am mournful, but I am also in shock. I can’t believe that it’s already the day that he passed away. If what I’m feeling is strong, I can’t imagine how the world felt in 2009. I know that it changed the world deeply. Michael Jackson wasn’t just any famous artist. He was a humanitarian, and cared immensely for people, donating millions of dollars to charity. He didn’t deserve to be so mistreated by the press. Seeing him talk about it just breaks my heart.

Becoming a fan of his changed me. Ever since I did, I’ve felt happier. Just listening to his soothing voice comforts me if I’m ever feeling down. Seeing him smile brings more joy into my life. His death forever changed fans and the music industry. The legacy that he left behind will not die for a very, very long time. Even though he is not here anymore, he’ll always be remembered by his fans. Rest in peace, Michael Jackson, I love you.

I hope that your spirit is finally in a peaceful place, away from all the pain that you suffered through in your life.
