"These are good, M." (Y/N) clutched the journal in hand, eyes skimming the lyrics written down across the pages, along with some concept ideas regarding the different songs. He found it difficult to fully focus on the words with MJ sitting on his lap, one hand cupping his face while she clumsily peppered kisses along his neck. Her determination made up for her lack of experience, even if she had to work on keeping her teeth out of the way. 

"You think so?" She leaned back, her eyes twinkling brightly and lips forming a delighted smile. (Y/N) chuckled softly and reached up, tucking a loose curl behind her ear and nodding. MJ's lips pressed together, a soft giggle escaping past regardless, and she leaned forward again, pressing their lips together. She no longer tasted like strawberry chapstick or the cherry soda she had during lunch, and the fruity perfume she'd sprayed on that morning had long faded, replaced by his cologne. 

"I should get going, M." (Y/N) said against her lips, fingers massaging into the flesh of her hips as he closed the journal and set it back down on the nightstand. MJ pouted, her arms slithering around his neck and body pressing against his. "Really, I have to. If I don't go now, Lourdes will probably catch me sneaking back and I really don't need to have a conversation with my aunt about the reason her supervisor brought me to her office."

"Stay the night tonight, then. They don't check rooms, they just check the halls, and Andi's You can stay here tonight... and maybe tomorrow night and the night after that-"

"As great as that sounds, the answer's no. These kinds of arrangements never work out." (Y/N) pressed a quick kiss to the side of her neck before gently pushing her off his lap, reaching his arm down toward the floor to grab the clothes he could reach. MJ's lips formed a pout and her big doe eyes watched him, the puppy-eyed look something she mastered perfectly by the looks of it. "I'm serious, M. It starts with messing around and ends with someone getting their heartbroken. I don't want that for either of us, alright?"

my thoughts on different rebelde characters

jana

so my opinion on jana is a bit confusing. i don't dislike her unlike a lot of people in the fandom - tbh i like all characters in rebelde except for gus, sebas, kuri and anita - but her character arc in both seasons 1 and 2 revolved around her wanting to show people that she's not who they want her to be but... she fails to show us how she really is. i think she really is the 'basic' person she seems to be and the writers forgot to give her a personality apart from not wanting to seem basic

esteban

i just want to let everyone (aka me and my 0 tumblr followers) know that i never gave up hope in him. he was doing stupid things but i knew esteban from season 1 was still in there somewhere. when he told everyone gus was a murderer i was happy because i never gave up on him. and then he killed gus. so, the thing is, i don't like gus. obviously. but couldn't gus have been arrested or something instead? my boy esteban has to deal with having murdered someone now (possible season 3 plot) but all he said was 'wow i'm so happy i managed to make it to graduation with my friends i abandoned and treated like shit but hey who cares :D'. like... idk. esteban from s1e1 would be very disappointed.

luka

i obviously didn't like him at the beginning. but when he helped sin nombre/rebelde in s1e8 i was so happy. he's sarcastic and hurts everyone's feelings but he's still luka and doesn't deserve any of the things that happened to him (🖕 marcelo and gus). he had some really good character development and is still an asshole but i love him anyway <3

mj

mj is so sweet and didn't deserve anything sebas put her through. i don't really know what to say about her character apart from that she stayed nice and respectful no matter what happened. she always helped others. like at the battle of the bands when she helped sebas. she didn't do that to abandon her friends but to help sebas because she felt sorry for him. (he didn't deserve that but that's a completely different topic) she wanted to stay friends with rebelde even after she joined sebas's friendship group (except for jana but that wasn't mj's fault)

andi

andi is so cute <3 she's the reason i carried on watching rebelde and even though dixon's knocked her out of the number one spot of my fav rebelde characters i still love her <3 she deserves so much better than what happened in season 2 and i want her season 1 self back. like, how does someone manage to be this soft and cute and adorable but somehow also so badass?? i guess that's a question only andi agosti knows the answer too

dixon

i love him sm <3 he can do no wrong. i love that he always wants to help people. and the way he looks at everyone, especially mj. his eyes say everything. from the moment he first saw her sing, you could see he was in love with her (not me though because i thought he was okane and would date luka so i never considered him and mj as a possibility until he tried to kiss her in s1e6. oops.) i just want him to be happy. also, i still think the funniest thing to happen in rebelde was that at the end of s1 everyone was sharing their secrets: luka and esteban that they were half-brothers, mj that she'd lied to her parents, andi that she was dating emilia and dixon that he'd lied and said he was poor because he thought no-one would take him seriously as a rapper if they knew he was rich. it was just so random. and his birth name is guillermo. no offense to anyone with that name, it's not a bad name, i just think it's so funny that that's his name. like, that's dixon. not guillermo.

anyway, in conclusion, i love them all <3

I'm rewatching Rebelde S2 reboot. And Mj is annoying the fuck outta me. Please explain to me how Sebas is the asshole? You are the one that cheated. You are the one who betrayed his trust but somehow he's the ass whole for not wanting to stay with you, because you're scared that you might be pregnant.

Gently strumming the strings of the guitar, you peered down at the notebook, looking over the lyrics that had been scribbled down messily when inspiration had struck randomly. You quietly hummed to yourself as you played, searching for the right melody to go along with the lyrics. In your complete immersion with the task at hand, you barely noticed the other presence in the room until you finished and heard clapping behind you.

Glancing over your shoulder, you half-expected it to be Dixon or Andi but instead, MJ stood there with a wide smile and sparkling eyes. Chuckling softly, you looked back at the notebook and picked up a pencil, writing down a few more lyrics.

"Is that a new song?" She asked, clasping her hands together before blinking and scoffing softly to herself. "Well- I mean, of course it's a new song. I meant-"

"I know, MJ." You interrupted reassuringly, setting the pencil down and carefully putting the guitar down on its stand. Facing the singer, you leaned back against the edge of the table and smiled. "How have you been?"

"Good! The music video is doing great and Sebas thinks we should start working on a new song." MJ explained though her attempt at sounding happy barely worked. You raised a brow at that and she sighed softly, toying with the sleeve of her sweater.

"You don't sound happy about it."

"I am! I just... Sebas can be difficult to work with, even when he means well. Besides, I miss the band and hanging out with everyone. Even if Jana is a mega bitch."

"Woah," You laughed at the insult. MJ had to be the very definition of innocence, from her rather oblivious personality to her devotion to her religion. Few were the times you heard her curse so openly.

Wincing, MJ frowned and walked forward to take a seat. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't call her that."

"No, I get it. She can be a mega bitch, even when she means well." You smiled when MJ released a soft chuckle, her fingers lifting to toy with one of her curls.

"I just-" MJ inhaled deeply, fingers curling into fists. "I made the band, I got everyone together! And as soon as she joins, she makes it all about herself and then refuses to understand why I joined Sebas onstage. I couldn't risk disappointing my parents for even a second or else they would've taken me out of school. She is a mega fucking bitch." MJ ranted and you couldn't help but chuckle softly.

Reaching out, you gently twirled a strand of curly hair around your finger, pulling the girl out of her rant and anger. "It’s like I'm seeing you in a completely new light. I like this side of you, MJ. Plus, you're cute when you're angry."

Tilting your head up when the bell rang, you hummed and turned away to collect your things and slip them into your backpack. MJ remained sat in her seat, eyes wide and skin warm. Grinning at her reaction, you slung the bag over your shoulder.

Thoughts on the Rebelde series

🚨🚨🚨 SPOILERS AHEAD 🚨🚨🚨

First thing first, I’m a fan of RBD and the og series so i wasn’t too exited for this new series, to be honest I wasn’t expecting much and my plans where to just do a hate watch and that’s it BUT my opinion changed and let me tell you why with some pros an cons

Pros

I literally was shocked when I saw Pilar on my screen in the first episode, was not a fan of her in the og rebelde but i was happy to see her 

Celina my beloved how amazing you are

The trama was good at first I liked that they didn’t do a new universe inspire by the og series and didn’t erased RBD, like they did some references in a few episodes and my nostalgic self was happy 

Dixon and Andi fav characters 

Dixon was cute and was very sweet with MJ, really loved his accent to the point that when he was on my screen i was hoping for him to talk a lot and I like that he was a good friend and was trying to make peace when the others where fighting, he has king energy and I love him

Andi i love how she was herself from the start and that she was a gay mess everytime Emilia was near, really loved how careful she was with Emilia when she told her that she hasn’t been with other girl, we support  queen Andi here 

Luka’s character was good and i liked how he was slowly realizing that he did care about the band and the way he changed his attitude once he was told that Esteban was his brother

The new set’s are cool wish we could’ve seen more of the school 

The original song and covers where good and Dixon’s rap was my fave

The uniforms look really cool and they way they styled them was good to watch, special mention to Dixon’s skirts and Lukas outfits

I like how MJ changed in every episode like you could see from the first episode that she was kind of shy and that everything was so new to her and seeing her be free and happy with herself at the end was cool

Cons

The lodge trama, I like it but I think they could have done more yk, like just 8 episodes wasn’t enough, I remember in the og series that the lodge was a big deal for a lot of episodes and it was predictable that Sebas was the leader but bonus points for the secretary being part of it, really took me by surprise 

Marcelo being Esteban’s dad was a bit predictable they set it up good but I knew like two episodes before Esteban’s mom said it  

I was so sure that one of the RBD members would make a cameo but 🤡🤡🤡 I was at the edge when MJ saw Roberta’s clothes thinking that Dulce Maria would appear behind her 

I hated that netflix did the sex scenes but you know it’s netflix and they love to sexualize teenagers so 

The songs, please if they’re gonna use the songs please just use them in the background or something like in Mamma Mia here we go again when they used chiquitita in one scene but it was just the instrumental (idk if it was chiquitita) but please don’t try and do new versions, the og’s are good and should not be touch, I get that they want another generation of fans but pls make original music like RBD did with Rebelde way if you know what i mean 

Now with the character’s, Esteban and Jana where ok but i wish they didn’t make them a couple so soon, and bc of that I couldn’t enjoy them much

MJ was great in the first few episode’s but with Sebas manipulating her to make her think that Jana was pushing her to be her shadow ruined her for me a bit, I understand why she did that in the final episode but at the same time I didn’t like it so I hope in the second season they fix it, I love her and Dixon together tbh. 

I think this is all i have to say for now, I liked the series and it was more than I expected so kudos to netflix for making me change my opinion on this new idea and please remember this is my opinion and that I’m judging based on my nostalgia, I think it was great and that they will have a bunch of new fans if they keep it interesting enough in the future maybe I’ll do a rewatch or something
