KNOCKOUTS: Killing Me! (2017 - 18)
Killing Me! is a cancelled romcom by Enma Akiyama about a newbie vampire hunter and the vampire she's trying to kill.
Vampire hunter Saki Fujimiya is the epitome of poise and finesse—that is, when she’s not around Miyoko Kujou! Why does Miyoko get such a rise out of her? Well, to begin with, Miyoko’s a vampire—Saki’s natural enemy—but that’s not the only reason Miyoko gets under Saki’s skin. Despite Saki’s best efforts to kill Miyoko, something keeps stopping her from biting the bullet and ending it all for good. It’s hard to tell who’s really the prey in this love comedy packed with bite! - AniList
ENG published by Yen Press; JP available on Comic Walker.
CWs under the cut. General severity rating: mild to mod.
suggestive scenes
violence <- inc. gun violence, blood, stabbing, attempted murder (homoerotic)
dubcon <- for blood drinking, not sex.
age gap? <- while she looks young, miyoko is 150 and saki is a teenager. addtionally: ch3, there's scene where miyoko says she only drinks the blood of teens, and the extra shows them meeting when saki was a small child. may be uncomfortable for some.

It's been a couple years now, so I hope the author is doing okay and is healthy. No one seems to know the reason for the cancelation, but we can only hope that maybe one day, the series may continue on, or maybe even evolve into something else. Whatever may happen, I look forward to reading Akiyama's works ^-^

Book twenty! We're only a little behind schedule, but life has been a little crazy.
I saw this at Barnes and Noble as soon as I saw the cover. I was ~super~ into vampires in my elementary and middle school years. I watched Gary Oldman Dracula almost once a day to the point where I could recite it line for line. 😅 That's faded a lot as I've gotten older, but I still do have a whole shelf dedicated to vampire books. Sometimes you need to feed your inner child, and this was perfect.
It's a vampire hunter/vampire romcom about Fujimiya Saki, a serious, no-nonsense prodigy hunter who moves town-to-town with her mother to hunt vampires.
All goes according to plan, until she meets vampire Kujou Miyoko. No matter what she tries, she can't seem to be able to kill her- or maybe it's that she isn't willing.
It's the standard story, except it's funny instead of angsty. Local hunter fights her gremlin girlfriend in an attempt to kill her, but not really.
This was really fun, and cute, and I can see where they're setting up more serious plotlines, like her mother and other hunters finding out. I'm definitely going to pick up the rest of the series.
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Manga: Killing Me!
Vampire hunter Saki Fujimiya is the epitome of poise and finesse—that is, when she's not around Miyoko Kujou! Why does Miyoko get such a rise out of her? Well, to begin with, Miyoko's a campire—Saki's natural enemy—but that's not the only reason Miyoko gets under Saki's skin. Recommended
I did not expect to have this much fun reading about a vampire and vampire hunter, it was cute and extremely enjoyable. At first, I was worried that the set up of Saki trying to kill Miyoko would get overused and tedious but Saki grows as a character and the story becomes more than just a repetitive chase. Don’t get me wrong, the “I’m going to kill you!” shtick continues throughout the volume, I just didn’t find it boring or felt the urge to skip those scenes. The mangaka did a good job keeping the Miyoko character from being annoyingly over-the-top precious and instead was fun throughout this volume. While I’ve seen this set up before, this story felt fresh and playful. The only reason I didn’t give this a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED is that there is only one volume and I haven’t seen anything about a second volume and the story definitely isn’t complete, at least it isn’t a cliffhanger.

100 DAYS OF YURI: Day 11 - Killing Me!
Killing Me! is a comedic fantasy manga by Akiyama. It follows the hilarious relationship between a vampire and the hunter trying to kill her.
Vampire hunter Saki Fujimiya and vampire Miyoko Kujou are classmates by day and enemies by night. When night falls, the two engage in epic combat. Miyoko's deadliness is only matched by her excessive flirting. However, Saki is able to get the best of her... but for some reason cannot pull the trigger.
In this hilarious adventure Saki’s greatest foe is not the creatures of the night, but her own feelings for Miyoko. The two characters have incredible chemistry, and the plot is as engaging as it is funny. This spicy single-volume manga is a excellent yuri read.
You can get Killing Me! in English paperback and digital editions here: Killing Me! - https://amzn.to/2omTfOt
