Irondad fic ideas #153
It's one of those "Peter gets outed as Tony's kid" fics. Except, you know how most of those end not too long after the public drama gets resolved? Peter and Tony talk out their feelings, maybe there's a press conference, and then it's over?
Not this one! This one contains a bonus plot!
A few years after the reveal, when the media frenzy has cooled down and Peter is now seen as just a normal celebrity kid, the internet explodes anew when Tony Stark's Secret Son We've Only Known About For Like 5 Years turns out to be Spider-Man.

Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Harley! You'll never believe the email I got from my professor! I mean, I'm not complaining, since it meant I could get out of class early and grab some food for us before coming here, but-"
I stopped short, frowning from the kitchen of my boyfriend's apartment. Normally, by now, he would've come out here to join me, or at least acknowledged me from somewhere else in the apartment. But I hadn't heard anything since I'd walked in the door.
Granted, I'd shown up much earlier than he'd been expecting me. My professor had canceled class about five minutes after I'd sat down in the lecture hall because he couldn't find parking, had been trying for twenty minutes, and was fed up with the whole ordeal. Still, there was no reason Harley shouldn't have been here. His lack of response was odd.
"Harley?" I called, tentatively heading towards his bedroom. I heard a hushed commotion and some shuffling from inside, then a muffled bang before total silence. I reached the knob, starting to feel a little concerned for the wellbeing of my boyfriend, when he flung the door open a moment before I could.
"Hey," he said, fixing me with a delayed version of his usual grin. "Sorry, I was just... cleaning something up."
"That's okay..." I said, narrowing my eyes a little and trying to look past Harley into his room. He shifted in the doorway to block me, and I raised an eyebrow at him. He grinned at me, trying to look suave, but I wasn't buying it. I ducked under his arm and moved into the room, looking around with my hands on my hips.
"You, uh... you said you had a story about an email from your professor?" asked Harley from behind me. I just hummed without turning around. He was acting weird, and I was determined to figure out why.
I scanned the room, but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Other than my boyfriend, that is, who hovered behind me radiating a nervous energy I never felt from him every time I took a step. I started moving around the room, and Harley looked so nervous I thought he might fidget so hard he hit his head on the ceiling. I walked past the window and his bed with no real effect, but the moment I started heading for the closet with purpose, he sprang across the room to jump in front of me.
I put one hand on my hip and fixed him with a look.
"What's in the closet, Har?"
"Nothing."
I snorted. "According to my sources, that's a load of bullshit."
"What sources?"
"My common sense. Come on, you're never this jumpy, especially not around me! So what's in the closet. I know you're not hiding a secret lover in there, so just tell me. What is it?"
"It's... a surprise," he managed, not even half as convincing as he would need to be. I just rolled my eyes and took another step towards him.
"Harley Keener, you aren't fooling anybody. You are, however, starting to worry me. So come on. What's in the closet?"
Harley's eyes darted around the room, scanning me and our surroundings, and I could see his brain working a mile a minute. Finally though, he sighed, the restlessness draining away from him as he settled his stare on me. He looked like the normal, slightly tired, sarcastic and blunt guy that I'd fallen for so fast in one of our physics classes again, and relief washed over me.
"You want to know what's in the closet? Fine. I was working up to telling you all this shit anyway, so why not now?"
I raised an eyebrow, but Harley just turned around to open the closet door a crack. He had a harsh, whispered conversation with someone apparently hiding inside, and my mind started racing, trying to come up with possibilities that would tie into this whole situation and actually make sense. Before I could come up with anything, Harley stepped back, and someone stepped out of the closet.
Never in a million years would I have been able to come up with the guess "Spider-Man is hiding in my boyfriend's closet".
My mouth dropped open as the beloved hero of New York stepped further into the room, Harley at his side. I just stared, trying to get my brain working again. I wasn't having much success.
"What... how... why-?"
"Remember I told you I met Tony Stark once, in Tennessee? When I was a little kid?"
I nodded, shifting my attention to Harley again. He had his hands in his pockets, and the usual casualness in his posture seemed a little more forced than usual.
"Well, I didn't mention that I saw him again. Regularly. He's kind of... adopted me, I guess, as a science kid who helped him fight off some bad guys one time. I actually go visit somewhat regularly, and Spider-Man's Tony's other science kid."
I blinked a few times, looking between the two people before me, my brain still trying and failing to play catchup. Spider-Man gave me a little wave, which didn't really help.
"That's... Harley, that's insane! Why didn't you... why didn't you tell me?"
He sighed, his shoulders slumping a little as his gaze fell towards the floor.
"I didn't want to tell you before we got serious. It just felt weird, like I was bragging or trying to get you to like me based on who I know. And I didn't want you to go out with me because of it, either. And then when we did get serious, it had been long enough that I wasn't sure how to bring it up. I was trying to figure it out, but I guess that's not a problem anymore."
He shot a look at Spider-Man that only a sibling could, with all the annoyance and irritation possible communicated in a single second. I couldn't help smiling.
"Well, I'm glad I know now," I said, crossing the room to take Harley's hand and give him a soft kiss on the cheek. "I love you, Har. I'm always happy to hear about you and your life, even when it's... unexpected."
He smiled at me, then leaned in and gave me a real kiss. I didn't let it go on for more than a few quick seconds, since we still had a guest in the room, but it was still nice. A little reassurance for us both.
"So..." I started, finally turning to the masked superhero in the room. "It's nice to meet you, Spider-Man."
I held out my hand for a handshake, which he returned.
"Yeah, it's nice to meet you too! Harley talks about you all the time."
I grinned, and I could see Harley shaking his head out of the corner of my eye. Spider-Man's voice made him sound way younger than I'd thought he was, but I decided not to comment on it. At least, not right now.
"So... what brings you to my boyfriend's dorm, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Oh! Well, I'm working on this case, and there's this technology that I think can help me track down the bad guys I'm looking for, but I can't figure out how to hack into it, and Mr. Stark's super busy-"
"Yeah, just gimme the drive," Harley interrupted, holding out his hand. Spidey obliged, then Harley glanced back at me. "Are you okay with this? I know we planned to just hang out together and do some studying..."
"Har, you're involved in superhero business. I'm not going to tell you to drop it, especially when it doesn't really have an impact on us." I turned to Spider-Man. "Luckily for you, I even brought extra helpings of food from Harley and I's favorite place. Although, it might be kind of hard to eat it through the mask."
Spider-Man turned to look at Harley, who completely missed it because he was staring at me.
"I never agreed to share my food with him. How could you offer that?"
I just smiled and shook my head, nodding in Spidey's direction. Harley turned to him with narrowed eyes, but his expression quickly changed when he saw something in Spider-Man's body language or otherwise that had his eyebrows furrowing in concentration. Maybe Spider-Man was secretly telepathic or something.
After a few long moments where Harley and Spidey were apparently managing to have a silent conversation despite the mask, the superhero turned back to me. Harley took my hand in his, a small smile on his face, and then a moment later, Spider-Man whipped off his mask.
A baby-faced teenager stared back at me with a beaming smile, and I instantly got hit with the most irrational surge of protectiveness I'd ever felt.
"Hi! I'm Peter," he said, giving me another little wave. "Peter Parker. Harley trusts you, and I trust him, so I figured... I could probably share this with you."
I smiled, reaching out to lightly squeeze Peter's arm.
"Thanks, Peter. I'm glad you did. And not to be dramatic, but I'll take your secret to the grave."
Peter's eyebrows shot up, and I heard Harley snort from next to me. I grinned at them both and headed for the kitchen.
"Now c'mon, you've got a case to work on or whatever and I have a ton of upper div calculus homework. None of us has time to waste."
Both boys followed after me, and within a few minutes we were settled at the table in Harley's apartment. Harley and I sat shoulder to shoulder, legs pressed against each other. Even though we were working on separate things, we were completely together, which made everything so much easier.
Every once in a while, I'd look up at Harley and Peter working over the same laptop. Whenever one of them noticed me, we shared smiles before returning to our tasks. We'd moved past the whole Stark-superhero thing pretty quickly, and I was okay with that. It didn't really change my impression of Harley or who he was, it was just another interesting aspect of his life. But I didn't miss the significance in Peter sharing his identity with me.
He wouldn't have done that, and Harley wouldn't have given him the silent yes, if Harley wasn't incredibly serious about this relationship. I'd become more and more convinced over the past few months that Harley was the one, and this told me he was most likely on the same page.
Of course, we'd have to have some conversations about that at some point in the future. But for right now, I was just happy to be working next to him, perfectly comfortable together, even in this new aspect of his life. Shoulder to shoulder through shitty classes and superhero drop-ins alike.

Peter laughed and pressed into Tony’s chest a little more before taking one last deep breath and stepping away. “Man, I’m such a mess.” He wiped his face clear of the tears he hadn’t even noticed falling until now. “I’m so sorry, guys. I can’t even—”
“Nope. You can stop whatever you think you have to be saying, bud. We get it. We know. Just—” Tony looked lost for a second, then asked, “Tell us what you need?”
“I—I, uh, I’m not sure?” And then it hit him. Maybe it was the fresh air, the change of scenery, or his newfound resolve, but for the first time in what felt like forever, Peter wanted to do something silly and there was only one person to ask. He turned to face Tony, “What did you do for fun when you living on campus?”

Sicktember: Day 28
#28- Pulling a ‘Ferris Bueller’
“Are you sure it’s safe for you to be out in public? Pepper would never forgive me if something was to happen to you and you were recognized.”
Peter’s anxiety had been amped up something awful since he’d been dosed with that mysterious fear gas that the Avengers had finally traced back to that pit of a town in Jersey while on patrol a couple of months earlier.  As such, it was pretty easy to tell what was triggering him now as he asked his question for the umpteenth time that day.
Tony slung his new arm around Peter’s shoulder and tugged him close even as they moseyed down the street. “Kid, I promise you, we’re fine. And even Pepper would be fine if we did end up getting caught out. We’re not doing anything nefarious.”
Peter seemed unconvinced.
“Aw, Petey, come on! I even had FRIDAY coordinate with the admissions office to get your campus tour scheduled for the  day with the fewest students on the tour and on campus to reduce the risk of “tourist” interference,” because we could see how worried you are. Trust us. It’s okay.”
They walked past an artisan bakery; its patio packed while a server bustled to take multiple orders in the middle of the fray, triggering yet another thought, “But what about the locals?”
“Pfft. I’m practically a local myself. Come on, Pete,” Tony tried to reassure him. “We’re good. I’m in Cambridge as a guest lecturer at least twice a year and I’ve never had an issue.”
Peter leaned away just enough to give him a sceptical side-eye. “You don’t really expect me to believe you, do you?”
Happy snorted from his position a few feet behind him.
“Hey,” Tony called over his shoulder, “Kindly refrain from influencing the opinions of my mentee, please and thank you.”
Happy chuckled a little louder, “I don’t think I’m the one that influences him, Tony. Trust me on that.”
Tony stopped walking while still keeping ahold of Peter, then turned them both around to address his asset manager. “Excuse me? Are you implying that I’m a bad influence?”
As naturally as breathing, Peter’s jaw dropped in shock and horror as he caught on to what was being implied. He looked from one man to the other, “And are you both implying that I’m a bad kid?”
Tony and Happy exchanged looks of both shock and delight as they finally—FINALLY caught their first glimpse of their Peter since leaving the city early that morning.
They’d almost missed this.
When Spider-Man had staggered into the penthouse, weeping and hyperventilating, they’d initially had no clue that the vigilante had been exposed to a mind altering drug so potent that even Dr. Cho’s eventual antidote only barely pulled him back from the veritable edge.
The trip had almost been cancelled.
The swings between anxiety, depression, and terror had been so extreme in the beginning and sitting with him as he struggled, restrained in the med bay at his worst, had been hard for them all. While Cho and Banner had worked together to find a solution, none of them were certain it would ever be an option to leave the monitored confines of the tower again.
Thank goodness for understanding teachers as they tried to maintain some sense of normalcy. Homework became the great distractor.
And then the antidote breakthrough came, and shortly after, the medical staff realized that they were approaching the drug’s half-life. The two events coming one after the other, were a miracle, the light at the end of the tunnel... and Peter finally improved.
And didn’t a change of scenery sound like the best idea ever?
Yes, there were still moments where Peter felt obviously out of sorts, his worries a tad too unreasonable, but he’d worked hard to recover, and was safe—they were making sure of it.
“Come on, squirt,” Happy reached out and ruffled Peter’s hair. “I’m feeling like we’re about to get trapped in a Stooges bit and I personally would rather we find that pizza joint Tony is insisting is on this street. I’m starving.”
Tony finally let go of Peter to throw his hands up in frustration, “Seriously, Happy! A guy gets turned around one time and suddenly everyone thinks you can’t find your way out of a box. Ridiculous!”
Peter smiled at the dramatics. This felt right— like the world was resetting itself and—
“Oof.” The skateboarder knocked Peter’s arm, but corrected his own stance before he could fall and carried on down the sidewalk. “Sorry ‘bout that!” He called back over his shoulder and disappeared into the crowd—
—Leaving Peter to deal with the consequences of his carelessness.
“You’re okay, buddy. You’re okay,” Tony reassured him where they stood while Happy grumbled in the background about kids and no respect for others.
And Peter was going to work his way through. He could do this... he’d felt glimmers of absolute normal in the past weeks and days, but this? Taking a walk with his pseudo-dad and new uncle had felt about as close to perfect as he could imagine. He couldn’t—no. He wouldn’t allow this to be taken away because of some yahoo with a fear fetish and a chemistry degree—or a skateboarder that got too close.
Peter closed his eyes and drew in a deep, shaky breath.
“That’s it, bambino. That’s it.” Tony soothed. “You’re safe. You’re fine.”
Peter nodded, maybe a little manically, but that was okay. They understood.
He inhaled again, a little steadier.
“Good job, sweet boy.” Tony sounded a little closer. “Are you okay with my giving you hug?”
Nothing had ever sounded so good, so Peter’s nod was a little more desperate as he opened his eyes and lunged into Tony’s arms. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry...” he couldn’t help himself. He was so tired of the lows, and then lower lows. He needed to be done with this. “Can we do something? Anything? Please?” Peter practically pleaded.
“Of course, we can, Pete. Anything you want—just say the word.”
Happy cleared his throat then.
“Okay, maybe not anything. Uncle Grumpy Pants over there may have some input of a security persuasion regarding certain suggestions...” Tony sighed. “Honestly, he’s a bit of a buzz kill, Pete.”
Peter couldn’t hold in the snort-laugh. “Nah, he’s just being responsible. Someone has to be, right?”
Then Happy was behind him, placing a warm, solid hand on his shoulder, too, even as he sought refuge with Tony. “Well then, maybe I do have some influence on the kid after all?”
Peter laughed again and pressed into Tony’s chest a little more before taking one last deep breath and stepping away.
He turned to face Tony, “What did you do for fun when you were living on campus?”
If that hadn’t come out of left field—Tony blank-screened for a hot minute as his brain flashed to the drugs and the booze and the all of the nameless, faceless partners, but that was a different life, and Peter would never— “I, um, well—” How could he answer Peter truthfully and not have it change how he felt about him?
“Why don’t we talk about it over lunch, huh?” Happy, seeing the panic on his friend’s face, interrupted Tony’s weak attempt at a response. “Towns like this always have brochures and the like scattered all over the place—and if we can ever find it, I’m sure that Tony’s pizza place will have ‘em, too.”
Tony plastered on his ‘media’ grin, and followed the breadcrumb trail Happy had left for him. “Oh ye of little faith,” He pulled Peter back under his arm and they were on their way again, “Have I told you about the tomato sauce on this pizza, kid? Just wait till we get there... it’s magical, I tell ya’. Magical.”
/-/-/
The greatest benefit to trying to make plans over lunch with a seventeen year old boy with a super-metabolism was that seventy-five percent of the meal was spent with him shovelling his face with pizza and wings while everyone else just stared in awe.
“Are you sure you can breathe there, Pete?” Happy had to double check.
Peter nodded back happily as he swallowed. “Maybe the cure for that dumb gas was this pizza!” he said, then, “Tony, you were right! I think this is the best pizza I’ve ever had!”
“I’m tellin’ ya,’ kid. New York, Chicago, Boston—it doesn’t matter where you are, if a pizzeria has a good family recipe and good ingredients? You’re golden.”
“Agreed,” Happy chimed in. “I’ll give it to ya,’ Tony. This is definitely a top three contender.”
“Yes!” Tony fist pumped. “I’ve been redeemed.” He tossed his wadded up straw wrapper at Peter, then figure there was no point in delaying the inevitable, and grew serious. “Hey, Pete. I’ve gotta say, I’ve been sitting here pondering my ill-gotten youth and I’m afraid I can’t think of anything we’d be able to do now that I did then that wouldn’t get me arrested—or worse,  you expelled from MIT before you’ve even started.” He cleared his throat. “But, uh, I’d love it if we could start some of our traditions—like maybe eating here whenever I’m in town for a lecture... or whatever?” He scratched at his beard nervously, waiting for Peter’s reply.
Happy, however, caught the little asterisk in his tone. “Hang on a sec? Or whatever?”
Tony’s cheeks pinked up, “Yeah. Like picking him up for holidays or,” Tony’s voice got quieter, “Or when I miss my favourite teenager-slash-young adult.”
“Awww, Tony! That’s so sweet!” Peter cooed.
And THERE was the grin the everyone had been missing for the last months. Tony could have wept with relief.
“Well,” Tony fussed with the dirty napkins on his plate, “It’s not like it’s that far.”
“It’s almost five hours!”
“That’s IF Happy’s driving. It’s only thirty minutes in the suit... if I’m dawdling.”
Happy snorted at the dis-invite. “Nice, Tony. I spend most of my adult life devoted to you, and this is how you repay me.”
Tony rolled his eyes. “What!? You’re busy being all doe-eyed with May!”
“Whoa!” Peter threw his hands up in protest, “Let’s keep Aunt May out of this!”
“Agreed!” Happy exclaimed.
Tony sighed. “Agreed. Regardless, let’s get back to the issue at hand. I’m afraid my sixteen year old self is not going to be much help with planning the next day or two, bud. I’m sorry.” He glanced toward the restaurant entrance, “Happy was right, though. If you wanted to go grab some brochures from the entrance, I can see them there. Maybe we can track down a museum or something?”
Peter just sat there, though, suddenly deep in thought.
“Pete?” Mr. Stark asked hesitantly. Things were going so well.
“Oh, sorry,” he offered, “I just was thinking how sad it is that you missed out on so much when you were my age.” Not that anyone had ever said that out loud to Tony, ever, “I couldn’t imagine not having Ned and MJ with me, and you didn’t get that, is all.”
And Tony’s heart warmed. “Oh, kid. Don’t sweat it. I got my Rhodey eventually, and he definitely helped me to finish strong.”
Peter was not mollified. “I know. It just sucks.”
“Yeah, it does,” Tony had to agree, “but I can never regret a path that ended up with all us of here, now can I?”
 “I guess.”
The mood was souring, and they’d had such a great meal. “Hey, why don’t you head over to the brochures and see what you can find? We’ll do your tour tomorrow morning and then hit the ground running after lunch—what do you say?”
Peter still seemed hesitant, but nodded and excused himself from the table, pulling his phone out as he weaved through the tables.
Tony shook his head in disappointment. “I fucked that up royally, didn’t I?”
“Nah, the kid has a good heart, you know that, and you’re like a big ol’ puppy dog. Let’s just head back to the hotel and relax. Then we’ll all be fresh and ready for tomorrow”
Tony pulled his wallet out, tossed cash for the meal and tip onto the table, and stood up. “Yup.” he stared over at Peter, distracted by whatever he was reading. “Tomorrow is going to be great, we’ll make sure of it.”
/-/-/
“... and with those parting words, we, the faculty and staff, are excited for you to be a part of the MIT experience. GO ENGINEERS!”
Peter, Tony, and Happy clapped politely as the final presentation ended then rushed for the door before another professor or administrator could come up to shake Tony’s or Peter’s hand in welcome.
“So,” Tony was the one to break the silence once they cleared the masses. “What do you think? Are you excited? Are you changing your mind? Have you decided to move to commune and take up pottery?”
Peter just grinned and shook his head. “It’s awesome, Tony. I’m excited- not changing my mind- and I was feeling like maybe gardening would be more my speed.”
Maybe Peter was a little subdued this morning, but he still giggled as Tony shoved him playfully, “Alright, smart ass.” Tony said. “Be that way. Now! I know we just had “lunch,” Tony air quoted, “but are you still hungry? We can stop somewhere before we—move on to whatever you’ve decided we’re doing today?”
Peter had stayed quiet after dinner, then focused on something on his phone for an hour or so before finally deciding to call it an early night. Tony had noticed Peter staring at him at a couple of points in the evening, but it made sense for the brief conversation they’d had, he guessed. Or maybe Tony was just being paranoid and Peter was honestly making plans?
“I’m not starving, but we’ll need to stop at Walmart anyhow, so maybe I’ll just check out the deli, too.” Peter announced.
Happy took over there, “Can I ask why?” he asked.
And then the smile Tony was afraid had disappeared came back, “We need snacks!”
Both of the men had, at one time or another, decided that Peter’s only purpose in life was to confuse the hell out of them, and here he was, doing it again.
“Snacks?”
Peter nodded. “Yup. Aunt May gave me some play money, so I’ve got cash in my wallet. I’ll run real quick and then we’re going back to the hotel for a bit, ‘kay?”
No one argued. “Okay,” Happy shrugged. “You’re the boss.”
Tony opened his mouth to playfully disagree, but Happy caught him before he could. “No. I said Peter’s the boss.”
And Tony had to agree, so they all shut up, and walked to their car.
They were going on a snack run.
/-/-/
Happy was fuming by the time they made it back to the car. “I told you to wait in the car! Peter was worried about Pepper, but now I’M worried! What am I going to tell her? I have one job, but I can’t leave you alone for a damned minute! She’s gonna murder me!”
“Shhh. Stop yelling.” Tony whispered back as he lowered himself into his seat while keeping pressure on the fresh wound set at his hairline. “How was I supposed to know that Walmart would try to kill me?”
“Don’t you mean, how were you, a grown ass man, supposed to know that you don’t ride bikes inside of stores like a moron? And then crash into end caps?” Happy leaned in to do up Tony’s seatbelt since his hands were busy. “How have you made it this far? I don’t understand.”
Peter slid into the back, clutching his bags and the heavy duty first aid kit he’d just retrieved from the trunk. “They were really nice about it, at least—and I don’t think anyone got photos?” Peter chewed on his lip guiltily. “And if you’re worried, we were going to stay in at the hotel for the afternoon anyhow. Maybe you’ll be feeling better later and we can do the rest of my plan?”
“Ah, the elusive plan,” Tony said wryly. “At this point, if it can involve extra strength over the counter pain medication and an afternoon of lounging, I’ll do about anything.”
Peter smiled, “It does.”
“Perfect. Then we’re set. To the hotel then, Happy, Daddy needs a new set of stitches.”
/-/-/
Once Happy had gotten everything sanitized and Tony frozen up, the stitches were done fairly quickly. Tony had even managed to take a couple of Tylenol to help with the mild headache. Peter, however, was still fumbling with his laptop and some cables at the back of the hotel room television when the two came into the room proper.
“Oooh, did you set up a secret camera so we can listen in on what May and Pepper really think of us?” Tony joked as he eased himself onto his bed.
“Don’t be weird, Tony,” Happy scolded him.
“Yeah, Tony, don’t be weird,” Peter mumbled in agreement as he finally emerged from behind the electronics, then grew shy as he fussed with a couple of laptop keys and then finally, it all became clear.
But not?
“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? The big secret was a movie?” Tony had to ask.
Peter flushed as he explained. “No, well, yes... I mean—I was thinking about how sad it was that you didn’t get to do the whole teenager experience after dinner last night and it got me wondering about what exactly you missed...”
“Okay?”
“And then I thought, you were sixteen in 1986, right?”
Tony was getting nervous, “Right?”
“Right!” He was getting excited as explained his thought process. “And then I tried to google, but that ended up with me trapped in Pinterest purgatory for some reason, so I shifted and found that the year you turned  sixteen, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” was one of the top ten highest grossing movies, and the only ‘high school’ movie that felt appropriate—” Peter hesitated. “So, I thought we could watch it and see what it was like to be my age back then, and see if we could plan something for tonight or tomorrow before we leave to be funny, you know?... if you wanted...”
Tony was speechless.
“... Unless you think it’s dumb.”
Tony just stared. This kid—they’d been so worried about him, and here he was—
Happy, of course, recognized that look. Even after years with (and without) the kid, Tony still had those moments when he couldn’t believe his luck—couldnt’ begin to process it in a way that made sense to him.
Sometimes Happy really hated Howard Stark.
And so Happy spoke up, “Let’s give him a minute, ‘kay?” He walked over to the bags of junk food and—a rotisserie chicken? Happy just shook his head and started unpacking. “We’ll get these snacks organized. Getting the bags cheddar popcorn was a great idea, by the way. I’m telling you, Peter. There’s a special place in hell for people who microwave popcorn in hotels and staff rooms, kid. That’s a life lesson for you right there. Got it?”
“Got it.”
Once done, Happy glanced over to Tony, still pale, but that could have been the shock of surprise, but still, “I’m pretty sure Tony doesn’t have a concussion, but give me a sec to get something pulled together before we start. I haven’t seen this movie in ages and would hate to have to pause it to change sheets or something.”
They both shuddered.
“I’m not concussed,” Tony suddenly spoke up, “Just had to take a quick brain break, but I’m back. And, believe it or not, I’ve never seen this movie at all.”
Peter’s shoulders slumped in relief. “Awesome. This’ll be fun then, right?”
“Right,” Tony declared, “Now hand over my milk duds, bud. I am totally not sharing.”
/-/-/
The ride home the next afternoon was pretty uneventful. Granted, Happy did make a point of getting them home in four hours twelve minutes, thank you very much.
By morning, Tony’s headache had dissipated and the bruising wasn’t too bad—and he’d managed to not puke the night before.
And, after a couple of calls from their PR guys to clarify the events of the day previous, Pepper wasn’t nearly as upset as Peter worried she’d be about Tony getting caught on camera... at least not with him.
“Honestly, Peter. This is nothing compared to the early 2000s.” She explained as her voice came through the car’s audio system. “I’ll take this gladly and call it a win.”
Peter breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe the last dregs of that toxin were finally out of his system?
“But, sweetheart? Tony? Happy? While I have you all on the phone...”
“Yes?” They all seemed to reply in unison.
“Would you happen to know why I’ve been getting all these restaurant reservation confirmations for a—hang on. I wrote it down somewhere—” The papers shuffled on her desk. “Oh. Here it is, for an Abe Froman?”
There was no way to pretend that all three of the men hadn't busted out laughing as they drove along the highway.
“Boys? What did you do?” Pepper’s confusion made it all the better, “And who the heck is Abe Froman?”

Thinking about restless spirit Tony Stark who just can't move on to the after life.
The first thing he does once he realizes he's an apparition is check on Pepper and Morgan. True to their word, they're okay. He watches them for a bit but feels this deep unrest pulling him away from the quaint home he yearns for.
There's a deep wrongness within him, some unfinished business that draws him back to New York.
He fears for a moment that it's Peter- but no, it can't be him. He'll be in Massachusetts right now, attending MIT as a freshman. There isn't a doubt in Tony's mind that his little genius is already making his mark.
Still, he follows the pull of his spirit to some dingy Queens' apartment he's never been to before.
It's deep in the night yet the apartment is empty. He looks around a bit, his body phasing through anything he attempts to touch.
It's small and dirty. There's old coffee cups on the desk, alongside a couple GED manuals. Great, the universe thinks he has unfinished business with some broke high school dropout.
He's pondering how he must have screwed up this kid's life; was it the Avengers, Stark Industries? Maybe his old playboy lifestyle is finally coming to bite him in the ass.
His contemplation is cut short by the sound of the window cracking open.
It strikes Tony for a moment that maybe he's stuck on Earth to be a guardian angel, Iron Man living on as some invisible protector against whatever creep is sneaking into people's windows. It doesn't make much sense considering the whole non-corporeal thing, but he still stiffens like he's ready for a fight.
He sees a man- no, a thing? A creature maybe, or an alien. Even in death Tony can't escape being one of Earth's mightiest heroes.
The creature is shrouded in darkness, something slick and bald crawling inside the room with terrifying grace and silence. It shuts the window with a soft kssssh as the seal is formed.
And then it pulls off its mask.
There, with the click of a table lamp, glows the face of Peter Parker.
He's definitely older now; sturdier shoulders, a rugged set of his jaw, hair tamed to something semi-professional. Still present, though, are those gentle brown eyes.
Nothing makes sense right now. Why is his kid here, in this apartment? Surely May wouldn't allow this. How many tenant laws does this place break? Where are his little sidekick friends? And on what planet would Peter Parker ever need a GED?
Tony's getting angry now, watching Peter move around the tiny space. He changes out of his costume and into pajamas. That spider suit isn't Tony's suit, it looks like cheap craft store fabric.
The kid opens a small freezer and pulls out the singular bag of peas that reside in there, pressing it against his ribs while he goes to pop some bread into a toaster.
Tony takes note of every glimpse he gains into Peter's life. Empty cabinets when he reaches for a jar of peanut butter. A fridge housing nothing but condiments and energy drinks when he goes to grab jam. A drawer with two spoons, no forks, and a paring knife which he pulls out and sticks into the strawberry jam jar just as the toast pops.
This is all so wrong.
Tony's outrage is coming to a rolling boil. Peter deserves the world- he was gonna give him the world. He couldn't wait to send Peter to MIT and show him off as his protégé. Tony was gonna fund his projects, tease him about pretty girls, maybe even see him step back from Spider-Man and act like a normal college kid. He wanted to see him flourish and grow up. It was all he could think about when Peter turned to dust between his fingers; he should be goofing off with his friends at a mathletes meeting, or building Legos, not fighting an intergalactic war.
Tony couldn't even conceive how much went wrong to end up here.
Alone. Broke. No school. He didn't even have his Stark suit to protect him. Everything that made him him has been stripped, leaving him in this shallow box with scuffed paint and hollow cabinets.
Tony can feel the violent rage burn deep in his spirit as he thinks about it.
This is why he's here. He can't let his boy live like this, wasting his potential to be some villain's punching bag. Where is everyone? Does no one care enough to stop this? The fury that builds in Tony is dangerous, wondering why a dead man is the only one who cares about the teen's life right now.
Without thinking Tony's hand reaches for the GED textbook, a mocking piece of work that laughs in his face, and throws it at the stupid little kitchenette that's mere feet from the bed.
It sails across the room with surprising speed before it's met with a thunk against Peter's palm, hand reaching out to catch it from the air before it collided with the toaster.
Oh.
Peter sets the book down and immediately picks up his web shooters, eyes darting furiously to every corner of the tiny apartment.
"Who's there?"
Tony steps a little closer but Peter's eyes just look right past him.
"C'mon Pete, c'mon. I'm here, I'm right here."
Tony looks for something else to grab. He swats at a hopefully empty coffee cup on the wooden desk, but his hand just passes right through it.
"Shit," the hope Tony felt waivers slightly and he tries again.
Nothing.
Peter is searching his apartment now, making sure the window is secure and feeling around every crevice, bookshelves, under the bed, in the top corners of the room. Searching for something nefarious, tech maybe.
Tony hits the cup, again and again, frustration building up and up and up till-
The cup flies across the room, Tony and Peter's eyes track its movements as it bounces against the ground and rolls to a stop.
"Shit," Peter breathes out.
Tony walks up to Peter now, standing before him.
"Figure it out. Think kid, you've met aliens, gods, magicians, surely ghosts aren't too far fetched."
Peter closes his eyes. His posture straightens, Tony watches him take a deep breath in as the hairs on his bare arms stand on end.
Peter's eyes blink open, and they're looking directly at Tony.
Tony smirks, "that's it."
Peter turns around and picks the cup off the ground, running to his desk with it and ripping a piece of lined paper out of a notebook and scribbling furiously on it.
Tony walks over as Peter places the cup in the center of the paper.
On the left is the word YES in bold print, NO on the right.
"Okay, okay okay. So, move the cup if, if you wanna talk. Um, is there someone in the room right now?"
Tony reaches for the cup, an intense glare as his fingertips graze it gently. It shifts minutely towards the YES.
"Shit! Shit. Sorry, whew. Okay. Are you friendly?"
Tony moves it to YES again.
"Are you a, um. Person? Like not an alien?"
YES.
"Are you wearing tech, invisibility suit or your molecules are uncalibrated or maybe it's a portal thing like, multiverse shit is happening again, a mirror universe! Oh, maybe a..."
Tony let's a frustrated sign. The kid is too practical, logical. He needs to think like a non-genius.
"... could be. Or, or maybe you're just a ghost-"
Tony perks up and immediately swats the cup, causing it to fly off the desk towards the YES.
"Oh. Oh that's... kinda normal. Or maybe really weird? I mean... I certainly have some ghosts in my past."
Peter picks the cup up and puts it back on the desk.
"Do I know you?"
YES.
"You said you were friendly, and I'm not getting any danger tingles from you. I'm gonna start with people I know are dead, cuz I just really hope you're not a... new ghost. Um. M-May?"
The boy's voice cracks on the word and Tony freezes. May is dead? Tony starts to fear that things are a lot more wrong than he previously thought.
Peter's breath catches and Tony realizes he's waiting, dying for an answer, and quickly pokes the cup towards NO.
Peter's shoulders sag.
"Uncle Ben?"
NO.
"T- Mr. Stark?"
Tony grins, "now we're getting somewhere!"
YES.
Tony is going to have his work cut out for him, but being here with Peter just feels right.
Peter breaks out into a matching smile.
"Wow, okay. I think I'm gonna need more paper," he says as the boy gets to work making a more complex system than YES and NO.
Tony watches on proudly, reminiscing about all the great Peter was and all the great he still is, despite his situation. Whatever this is, they'll figure it out.
Together.

Casual Study Dates | Peter Parker
Tumblr media
(MCU) Peter Parker/Fem Stark Reader
Warnings - slightly suggestive
Summary - Avenger’s compound a usually busy place hustling with activity seems unusually quiet for the day. leaving y/n and Peter in a sticky situation (pun intended)
Word Count: 1,237
°°••....••°°
Avenger’s Compound, a place that’s usually bustling with activities and combat training sometime’s has quiet days like this where super-powered humans who have insanely intense hearing can hear a pin drop from across campus. For you though being one of the youngest on the team you hated those days because it seemed as if everybody always wanted to see what you were up to. You weren’t necessarily an avenger but you were extremely smart and helped out around the lab and worked on some Stark Industries projects with your dad every once and a while. And that’s how you met Peter Parker and during those first two years of awkward conversations and study dates you two seemed to find some comfort in all that awkwardness.
“Are you nervous about MIT sending out their decisions soon?” Peter asked while getting comfortable on your bed while staring out at the beautiful city view.
“Why would I be nervous Peter? Most of my family are MIT Alumni.” You said a bit cocky if you really think about it.
“I- know it’s just I figured maybe you’d be experiencing the same nerves I was. It was a stupid question nevermind sorry” Peter stuttered out.
“You don’t have to be sorry Peter and you definitely don’t have to worry my dad put in a good word about you. You’re one hundred percent getting into MIT” You told him confidently.
You knew Peter was an anxious person and you’d do anything to take his nerves away.
“Now are we going to keep stressing about MIT or are we going to figure out these formulas that Bruce gave us to solve?” You asked while holding up the stack of papers labeled ‘Top Secret Formulas’.
Peter nodded his head yes while lifting his body off your bed to instead sit on the edge of the bed closer to your desk where all of your work was scattered across your laptop.
“But first I need to put some music on or else I won’t be able to focus” You said before sliding the miscellaneous papers off your laptop.
“That’s the Stark in you talking, how can you focus better with music blasting in your ears?” Peter asked while laughing.
“I guess you are right, that is a classic trait of my dads. But it just helps me focus better. I don't know, I can't explain it.” You turned on your playlist before flipping to the first page of the stack of formulas Bruce assigned you to solve.
Your speaker was loud but who cares it’s not like anyone cared or was listening everyone was off doing their own things. The first few songs were upbeat and fun but the farther you got into your playlist the more guilty pleasure songs started playing, but Peter didn’t mind he was blocking out the music anyways so he could focus better on the formulas in front of him. What you didn’t know was that Steve and Nat were standing outside your room listening.
“Knee deep where? doing what?” Steve said worriedly looking over at Nat.
“It’s just a song Steve stop being so old-school” Nat smirked back at him.
“But Peter’s in there with her, what if they aren’t actually studying?” Steve asked as any worried uncle would.
“The song is talking about having relations in the bathroom during dinner time, that’s not appropriate Nat” Steve said firmly not accepting any excuse now.
Nat wasn’t interested in continuing this conversation any further and started walking toward the living quarters where there sat Bucky, Clint, Bruce and of course Tony.
“What’s got you so tense Cap? Your boyfriends right here if you have to relieve some tension” Tony laughed making fun of Steve and Bucky’s unusual bromance.
“I think you should worry more about what your daughter and Peter are doing upstairs” Steve said, crossing his arms.
“What? What are you talking about Cap? His vigilant ass better not be corrupting my innocent perfect daughter” Tony angrily stated as his face turned a shade of red nobody expected.
“They are listening to a song about having relations in the car and bathroom” Steve said pointing upstairs to your room.
“And you didn’t shut it down the moment you heard that? What kind of uncle are you?” Tony asked running up the stairs to take a listen for himself.
“Oh my gosh the lyrics are filthy but it sounds so calming, how does an artist achieve that?” Tony muttered under his breath before harshly knocking on your bedroom door and bursting in unannounced.
“What’s going on here?” Tony yelled loudly only to be met with a view of you sitting at your desk and Peter sitting on your bed leaning against the headboard with a textbook and stack of papers sitting on his lap.
“What dad? We are busy figuring out the formulas Bruce gave us. Why the hell is everyone crowding outside my room?” You asked, pointing towards Steve, Bucky, Nat, Clint and Bruce all huddling in a circle outside your bedroom door.
“Well we heard the song you guys were listening to and were a bit concerned. You guys aren’t acting on those lyrics are you? You guys better not be under my roof” Tony questioned with a look of disgust on his face.
“What the hell are you going on about dad?” You asked looking over at Peter who looked like he'd seen a ghost.
“Are you guys having sexual relations?” Tony asked in disgust as your playlist suddenly skipped to the next song which would make your case even worse.
“Head so good, she's an honor roll she’ll ride your what like a carnival?” Tony repeated the lyrics.
“I am on the honor roll though, so it’s not entirely a lie” You replied back smirking like a smartass.
“This is not a laughing matter young lady, we are talking about something serious here, answer my question right now” Tony stated with a straight face not joking around anymore.
“Yeah we are and what about it?” You said, shrugging your shoulders.
“Y/n not in front of everybody” Peter said shyly.
“Who cares Peter they were going to find out sooner or later anyways, might as well just tell them now” You said looking back at everyone’s shocked faces. As you looked past your father behind him stood Bucky handing Clint a ten dollar bill.
“You guys had a bet going on about us?” Peter asked, looking back and forth between them but also keeping one eye on Tony just in case he might try to kill him.
“This conversation is not over and from now on this door stays open” Tony said sternly ignoring all the giggles and snarky remarks coming from his fellow avengers. Your playlist then starts playing a different song which lightens up the mood just a little.
“This one has a dance to go along with it, watch H-O-T-T-O-G-O it’s like the YMCA'' You said while doing the dance.
“I like doing the YMCA” Steve said, smiling now entering your room.
“Of course you do because you're ancient” Peter said jokingly.
As you can expect you didn’t think you’d be ending your day teaching Steve Rogers the Hot To Go dance however you wouldn’t trade the quiet days at the compound for anything because at the end of the day you’re just one big family and you wouldn’t trade them for the world.

WHO ALLOWED THIS??? I WANT TO KNOW SO I CAN STEAL EVERYONE YOU LOVE.
I don’t know why I didn’t realize this earlier, but the reason Peter Parker wants to go to MIT so bad in Spider-Man: No Way Home is because of Tony Stark.
Tumblr media
In this scene in Spider-Man: Homecoming where Tony is talking to Peter through the suit, he mentions college and that he has some pull at MIT. Peter explicitly says he doesn’t need to go to college. MIT is not mentioned again in this movie or the next (because he was worried about Beckett and the drones). Then, in NWH it’s his top school. It’s almost like something happened between Homecoming and FFH/NWH that made Peter want to go to MIT-
Oh wait

Perfect Family
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dark Peter Parker x (female) Reader
▶ This is a yandere/dark work and it may contain triggering content so please READ THE WARNINGS before. Do not read if minor.
More at Masterlist
SUMMARY: Peter knows you’re about to break up with him. So what’s the next logical step? Get you pregnant, obviously.
WARNINGS: Babytrapping; Toxic relationship; Birth control Tampering.
AN: Please, reblog and give me feedback.
--
Peter knows exactly what you’re planning, after all he knows everything about you. You’re his other half, his soulmate.
That’s how he knows you’re planning to break up with him. When he found out through the messages you had been sending your best friend he couldn’t believe his eyes.
How could you ever want that? You love him, he’s sure of that.
You’re always telling him you love him, before you leave for your college or when you’re about to go to bed. Even if it’s with a blank face, rushing the words out of your mouth before you walk away, without a sincere smile.
He makes sure to keep an update on the messages, his heart practically skipping a beat when you reveal your plan to break-up after your first-year anniversary, just a few weeks away.
Peter forces himself to remain calm and to act as if he knows nothing, keeping up with the caring boyfriend’s character. He can’t raise suspicion now.
If his plan works out, you won’t be going anywhere.
Tumblr media
“I’m pregnant.” you declare with a shaky voice. Peter stops, the plate falling off his hold and crashing into the ground.
“Peter, I’m so sorry. I-I don’t know how this happened, I swear I took the birth control pills every day, I never missed them!” you exclaim, twisting your hands in anxiety.
Peter looks at you, his face completely expressionless and you fear the worst. You drop your head, panic starting to grow stronger. Peter is going to hate you for ruining everything.
You’re about to ruin both of your futures, but his especially. He wants to go to MIT, not become a dad so soon.
“I’m truly so sorry and I-” Peter runs to you, elevating you into the air and swirling around as he lets out loud chuckles.
“I can’t believe I’m gonna be a dad. Fuck, that’s the best news ever.” he exclaims, carefully dropping you back onto your feet. You clean the tears with the back of your hand, a small hopeful feeling growing inside you as you look at him. He looks radiant, much happier than what you had predicted.
“R-Really? You’re not mad at me?” you hesitantly ask. Peter fondly smiles at you, cupping your cheek.
“I could never be mad at you for this. It takes two to make a baby. Besides, it was always part of our future plans, right?” he says, dropping the last sentence with a lightly sketchy tone as if he’s waiting for you to agree but you ignore it, it’s probably your imagination acting up.
You can’t be a single-mother, you already know you won’t be able to deal with it and your child deserves to have both its father and mother together in their life, it’s the least you can do.
You can’t abandon Peter anymore.
You nod as Peter drops on the ground, pressing his head against your belly. Your hand instinctively goes to his head, caressing his brown hair and his hand comes to cover your own.
“This is perfect.” Peter whispers, pressing kisses towards your belly, where your baby is developing. “You, me and our baby. A perfect family.”

Don't Tell 'Em- Peter Parker
a/n: I've been OBSESSED by this prompt his week, so... here it is
Warnings: None, but i'ts a bit spicy
Summary: Ned's sister have the biggest crush on Peter, and she thinks he doesn't knows that... but he does
Don’t forget to share, like, comment and leave your ideas here
Bellah’s Masterlist 🪻
Y/n was madly in love with Peter Parker, but he was best friends with her brother, Ned Leeds
Peter Parker was a popular boy with the girls, and Y/n never believed that she would ever have a chance with him. The boy was admired for his intelligence and beauty, always helping people to pass their exams or study, making his reputation as a nerdy loser be replaced by a sexy tutor. Since the first time Ned had brought Peter to his house, Y/n had lurked on the stairs watching the boys play video games. Even though she was two years younger, Y/n ended up developing a crush on Peter, which only blossomed over the years.
On Y/n's 16th birthday, the girl decided to throw a pool party, inviting some close friends over for an afternoon of cocktails. Ned, in order not to be alone, ended up calling Peter as his companion, and at that moment, Y/n came up with a plan to get what she so desperately wanted.
A kiss from her brother's best friend
On Saturday morning, Y/n woke up determined to get Peter's attention. In a few weeks' time, he would be moving to Massachusetts because of the university scholarship he had won at MIT. Taking advantage of the fact that he and Michelle Jones had broken up for God knows what reason, the girl had to be meticulous in her plan if she wanted it to work.
"Y/n, be serious. He's not going to kiss you." Lily, Y/n's friend says, rolling her body onto the king-size bed,
"He probably doesn't even know you like him." Audrey, also Y/n's friend, agrees with Lily.
"You're the worst best friends in the world, you know that?" Y/n grumbles, as she finishes the details of her PowerPoint presentation on her laptop. "Are you ready?"
Lily, the redhead, nods, but sits down next to the girl, while Audrey puts her blonde hair up in a high bun, waiting for Y/n to take action. The three of them look at each other, and with an inspired smile, Y/n presses the "Enter" key to make her five-step presentation work.
"First step, the mood. It needs to be outgoing and relaxed, because he doesn't cope well with pressure. The music has to be lively, and the atmosphere has to be light. So no awkward or sexual talk from his side"
"That's going to be difficult. Are we going to have a girl group and not talk about sex and love experiences?" Lily says.
"Not around him. I don't want him to think I'm a sex freak." Y/n explains to her friend.
"You literally had laser hair removal yesterday, and you're a virgin." Audrey comments with a smile as she remembers her friend's painful story.
"Are you going to help me or not?" Y/n asks her friends, who only respond with silence. "Next step, Ned. We need Ned to fill up with tasks so that he can leave Peter alone, and I can talk to him."
Y/n moves on to the next slide
"Step three, the conversation. I need to be alone with him, and I want it to be in the middle of the afternoon so we can kiss at sunset." Y/n looks up as she says it, imagining how perfect her first kiss would be.
"Okay, slow down," Lily raises her hand in a stop sign. "You can't even plan the time of the kiss, Y/n. It has to happen naturally."
"Yes, I can, and that brings me to the next slide. The space. I want it to be outside the pool, and probably on the roof. It has a nice view of the suburbs, and you can see some buildings in the background if you squint. The woods will make it cooler at night, and he can even lend me his sweater if I ask."
Lily and Audrey looked at each other in disbelief at what they were hearing Y/n say.
"And the last one, is the kiss. I think explaining that would be too weird." The girl crosses her arms, looking at her two friends who were standing next to her, waiting for a reaction while still watching the laptop open to the last slide. "So?"
"You're crazy Y/n." Audrey lets out a loud laugh. "Ned won't leave Peter's side, and if he does, Peter will accompany Ned on whatever. The girls will talk about anything whether they're around him or not, and they might even get drunk and hit on Peter. It might not be cold at night, and he might leave early."
"Facts" Lily agrees, getting up from Y/n's bed. "Let it happen naturally, Y/n. I'm sure it'll be much better."
"Not a fucking chance." Y/n replies sincerely. "It'll be perfect. I know it will. Now, let me show you the thong bikini I bought." The younger girl gets up, goes into the bathroom and closes the door behind her.
(...)
Afternoon fell, and everything went wrong
The sun disappeared into the dark rain clouds, and most of her friends were stuck in a traffic jam caused by fallen trees in the street. If it hadn't been for other reports of rain, Y/n would have said that this was the biggest storm she had ever seen. Fortunately or unfortunately, Audrey and Lily had left when the rain started to look like it was going to get heavier, leaving only Peter and Ned to stay with her at the house, while the brothers' parents were on a business trip.
"Damn." Y/n commented, looking out of the window at the power of the rain that had washed away several branches on the asphalt.
"I'm sorry about your party. We can celebrate tomorrow." Her brother, Ned, touches her shoulder when he notices the tone of frustration in his sister's voice.
"We could have a movie afternoon." Peter comments, turning on the television and putting on Netflix.
Y/n takes a deep breath, looking over her shoulder at Ned and Peter, just agreeing with the situation the universe had planned for her. Maybe her friends were right. That plan was unrealistic, and Peter would never kiss her since many other girls his age could provide something better for him. The girl settled down on the brown sofa, pulling a pink blanket over herself and picking at her body as a show of displeasure.
"Come on, Y/n. We can see whatever you want. I'll let you have a glass of wine." Ned tries to cheer up his sister by offering her alcohol.
"It's okay, Ned. It's really all right." She lies, annoyed at the lack of her friends.
"How about Barbie? Or Mamma Mia? Or La La Land?! You love that one." Peter recalls his best friend's sister's favorite movies
Y/n smiles at the thought of Peter knowing her tastes.
"La La Land sounds good. Ned, can you make us some popcorn?" The girl smooths her gray sweater over her body, crossing her arms as if waiting.
"Sure." The dark-haired teenager agreed, getting up to go to the kitchen, leaving Peter and Y/n alone on the sofa. The movie catalog was still open, and the wind was whipping against the glass windows, causing strong gusts that drowned out the sound of popcorn popping in the pot.
Peter watched Y/n, sliding his body closer to her, trying to get close to her ear. The girl dodges at first, looking at him with confusion and an embarrassed smile at their lack of distance.
"I don't know if it'll cheer you up, but I left a present on your bed." The brunette said quietly, as if he were confessing a secret.
"Are you serious?" The girl slowly cracked a smile.
"While you were taking the buoys out of the pool, I went up there. Do you want to go and see?" Peter asks, receiving a silent and excited yes from the younger girl.
"Ned! I'm going to the bedroom to see Peter's present." Y/n shouts as a warning.
"All right! No need to shout." His brother shouts in response.
Both teenagers follow the stairs to the white door of Y/n's room, which is already ajar. The girl uses one of her hands to pull the door away from her gaze, coming across a white bag positioned on her bed, where her laptop was also open, but turned on its back.
"Oh my God, Peter!" Y/n exclaims. "Is it Pandora's?" Y/n smiled, moving towards the present and slowly taking off the pink satin bow that was decorating it.
While the girl was distracted by the present, Parker slowly closed the door behind him so that it wouldn't make a sound. His hands touched the door lock, turning it so that no one else could enter the room. The brunette smiled to himself, looking down at his feet on the nude carpet, and then over to his laptop, which had a flap open. Reading the contents of the slide once more, he closes the laptop with one of his hands and says:
"So you were planning to kiss me?" Peter asks, causing Y/n to immediately stop admiring the necklace with a pink heart-shaped stone.
"W-what?" Y/n's trembling voice comes out of her mouth without strength, while her eyes stare at him in amazement.
"When I got to your room, your laptop was open, and I ended up seeing what was on it, out of curiosity, since my name was marked with stars and flowers." Peter comments, sliding his fingers across the comforter of the bed.
"That's not... actually I, I..." Y/n tried to find the right words, tucking her hair behind her ear. "It was Lily's. She was dying to kiss you, and she shared this presentation by email." Y/n lies, causing Peter to smile.
"Y/n, I'm a very intelligent person, you know?" Parker comments, walking towards the younger woman. "And in 18 years of life, I've noticed a lot of things around me, especially about women. And I know when someone is interested in me."
"Well, you're not so good because you haven't noticed, Lily." Y/n raises both hands in an "oops" gesture.
"But I did notice you." Parker comments. "I saw all the times you looked at my body when I swam with your brother, how you passed by my table in the cafeteria more than four times just to hear what I was saying to other people, and how you turn red when I get close to you." The boy's voice became more present as the distance was being broken.
Did the room seem smaller and smaller, or was he simply getting closer?
"I don't know what you're talking about." Y/n still denies it.
Peter pretended to agree, watching the girl in front of him from head to toe. He could hear her heart beating faster, and how her breathing became more and more altered as he approached her as if she were prey. The boy nodded, looking to the side of the room in an attempt to avert his gaze.
"Of course. I guess I really did get mixed up. You wouldn't cause this situation between me and Ned, would you? I mean, me kissing his sister?. He'd be furious with me." The brunette says.
"Yes, he would." Y/n couldn't take her eyes off Peter's thin, pink lips.
The tension was palpable, and even though his conscience wanted to weigh on his mind, Y/n's consciousness disappeared completely when his body was pulled to Peter's like a magnet. In a silent instant, their eyes connected as a request for confirmation that this was really going to happen, and their mouths met in a desperate movement.
Peter slipped one of his hands around Y/n's waist, pulling her closer to him. The girl's red nails ran down the boy's neck, sending exciting shivers down his spine. The girl felt completely taken over when her back met the wall of her room and Peter's body pressed against her. Her tongue, desperate, was slowly guided by the brunette, as the kiss was guided by him. Low moans were audible through Parker's super-hearing, causing a mutual response. One of his hands made small circles on the girl's jeans-covered thigh, and unconsciously, she lifted it, bringing his lap closer to hers. Before he knew it, she was on his lap.
"Holy shit." Y/n said between wet kisses.
"Is that what you wanted?" Peter teases.
"That was much better than the necklace." The girl smiles.
"Y/N!" Ned knocks on the door, causing the couple to let go almost immediately, fixing their hair and crumpled clothes.
"WAIT!" The girl says, taking a deep breath and unlocking the door.
"What were you doing?" Ned asks, looking at Peter, who is sitting on his sister's bed analyzing the gift he himself had given her, pretending to be far away from the situation.
In an unscripted pause, Y/n looks at Peter for a moment, then returns his attention to his brother, looking for an alternative answer.
"Just showing the necklace." Y/n smiles without showing his teeth.
"The popcorn's ready and so are the sweets. Let's go?" The brunette asks, turning away from his sister and heading for the stairs.
Y/n takes a deep breath, feeling Peter's hands on her back. His hot breath blows against the girl's ear, and he says as naughtily as possible before heading downstairs.
"Don't tell your brother about this"

a/n: Just a quick psa: this is the first of two parts! I tried to make it a one shot, but it was wayyy too long. There are some mentions of Harry Potter, obviously by the title, but no major spoilers and I want to make it very clear that I DO NOT support JK Rowling nor her transphobia. Trans women are women and trans men are men🏳‍⚧! That being said, I have another little surprise in the works that may have something to do with the wizarding world...
If you want to know what it is (and maybe get a sneak peak) comment your favorite character from the series and make a guess as to who you think mine might be. I'll reveal it with the next part of this series.
Thanks and enjoy!
Was there anything better than a chilly winter morning with the one you love most? Absolutely, a chilly winter morning with the one you love most and Harry Potter in the background. That’s all you could think of as your fuzzy sock clad feet padded across the campus floor.
The festive season’s aroma invaded your senses as you managed to steal the first four films from your father’s extensive DVD collection without being caught, the cover of the first one glinting in the light that flooded in from the wall of windows encasing Avenger’s campus as you admired how young the cast used to look and made your way to your boyfriend’s bedroom.
Suddenly, the usual quiet of the campus in the early morning was disturbed by the sound of footsteps of another Avenger in the distant halls and using your powers you immediately concealed the DVDs into a stack of school notebooks and a folder of overflowing miscellaneous papers as a facade. It wasn’t unusual for you to use your gifts this way.
It was only five years prior during a mission in the Czech Republic that you were introduced to Peter Parker and while everyone had expected the two of you to get along as teens of the same age, no one knew just how close you and Peter really were. The rule had initially started at Stark Tower as a branch off of one of your father’s household rules: no dating superheroes. You thought he would be less strict as your life became centered around them, as did his, but you had no such luck. There was little chance Tony Stark would ever change the rules set for his little girl. So you were left to bend them instead.
While you and Peter seemed like close friends, you only started out as a platonic couple before your relationship escalated faster than either of you could’ve anticipated into something more fulfilling than you could’ve ever hoped for. Peter became your everything. Before you knew it, he was your rock. He was the first person you wanted to share a new dirty joke with or an unlocked childhood memory or even complain to when your father became too restricting. It was so much easier for the both of you to be together during high school. Being a college sophomore made your relationship much more complicated. Especially seeing as Peter stayed close to home at NYU and you left town to attend MIT (your father would never let you go anywhere else).
With campuses that were over a 4 hour drive away from each other, you and Peter only got the occasional three day weekend to spend with each other and that was only when you were able to evade spending time with your dad by making up an excuse as to why you couldn’t come home and held your ground until you had to eventually cave to his demands. The only time you and Peter really got together was during holiday breaks when you two could both be at the campus and sneak around like smitten teenagers all over again. With only three weeks, you were determined not to waste a single second with so little time, even if it meant using your shapeshifting ability to disguise wizard school movies as chemistry homework. What could be suspicious about two close friends sharing notes about stoichiometry?
You felt your heart start back up as Natasha passed you in the hallway instead of your father, shooting you a smile.
“Morning, y/n.” she greeted pausing to look at your stack of folders with a look of confusion.
“Uhh, good morning.” you croaked, praying that there wasn’t some defect in your ability that allowed her to see a portion of the one of the movies you were disguising. Thankfully, your facade held.
“Homework? Really? This early on a saturday?”
You gulped as you nodded.
“You know me,” you forced a smile. “I’m actually on my way to wake Peter up so we can review together.”
“Good for you,” she nodded, impressed. “Breakfast should be in a couple hours if you two want a break. Try not to get bored!”
“Thanks?” You shrugged before continuing off to where you knew Peter’s room was, conveniently all the way on the other side of the building from your own. Soon enough you were at Peter’s door, turning the knob and entering without knocking, quick to shut it behind you to prevent anyone else from seeing how eager you were to ‘study.’ Surrounded by the comfortable closed walls of privacy, you let your platonic friend disguise fall and set the stack of papers on the edge of Peter’s bed.
Your boyfriend was still tucked beneath the covers, as was expected. You two had made your marathon plans ages ago and after losing several rounds of rock paper scissors, Peter’s room was made the place of the marathon meaning it was your job to wake him up. Overall you thought it best as you were more natural at lying (literally as you were aided by shape shifting powers) and a little more strategic when it came to social interaction and plotting.
You neared the stirring boy, his sleep disrupted by the clatter of the discs and the movement of his bed as you sat down to kiss him.
“Peterrr…” you whispered, hovering above him with an unshakable grin etched upon your face. “Wake up.”
You awoke him by placing a soft kiss on his nose and smiling down on him as he furrowed his eyebrows in aversion. It wasn’t until his eyes fluttered open that he grinned as he saw you and craned his head up to kiss you properly, his lips soft against yours, slipping a hand up from under the covers to cup your cheek.
“Morning.” he greeted, smiling affectionately as he sat up against the wall behind his pillow, pulling you into his lap so that he could kiss you once more. That was until he took a look at what you had brought, books and paper for studying. He cringed, pulling you closer and kicking up his covers in disgust.
“Oo no. I refuse to study on a Saturday. Can’t we save that for the last minute like every other time we’re together?” his lips turned into a sly grin as they neared yours once more.
You laughed as his complaint sparked many memories, most of you both tangled up together out of what started as procrastination, but ended up in unbridled desire that poured out after being built up each time you were away from one another for too long.
“Nice try, Parker. And here I thought we’d have a nice time today. Don’t you remember our plans?”
As you gesture to the folders and notebook on the edge of his bed they instantly shrunk back to their original form. All of a sudden, instead of the obnoxious red notes and blue folders filled with paperwork were the four DVDs with their easily recognizable covers that screamed nostalgia. Peter’s face lit up instantly, a mix of excitement and relief as his morning amnesia faded away. But even still, his seductive grin returned as he slid you further up his lap.
“We can’t start just a teeny bit later?” he teased, his fingers sending chills down your spine as they glided up the sides of your thighs. One of the downsides of how long you two had been together was that Peter knew exactly how to bend you to his will. “I think I’d rather spend our first morning together a little differently.”
He leaned in for another kiss, but instead of meeting your lips in the middle, his mouth was met with your finger as you pulled away and sat next to him, placing a chaste kiss on his cheek before shuffling into his comforter. It was by luck that your Stark genes made you extraordinarily stubborn and resistant to his persistence.
“Maybe later. Right now I am seriously craving a Hogwarts escape,” you lightly pushed Peter towards the DVDs, hinting that he would have to be the one to pop it into the reader. You teased him as he left his bed, grinning wickedly. “Besides, Harry’s wand is way bigger than yours.”
Peter’s head whipped around as the previews started to roll on the flat screen TV behind him that could be found in every resident room on the campus.
“Hey,” he pouted, though there was still enough of a smile left that you were sure he knew you were only kidding. He settled beside you, tucking an arm behind your head so you could rest on him as you normally did when you shared a room. “It’s hard to compete with 11 inches.”
After skipping through each advertisement for movies that had come out over a decade ago and finally selecting the play option on the movie menu, Peter planted a soft kiss on your forehead as the movie finally began and the familiar notes of the main theme played from the speakers.
“I think you should wake me up like this every morning.” he mumbled into your skin.
“I think that would be nice.” you agreed and nuzzled closer into him.
You two spent the entire first movie just like that, two nerds wrapped up in each other so close that you could hear each other's heartbeats, but so involved in the film that you didn’t get distracted by the distant pulsing of them.
“I think I'd make a great chaser.” you confessed during Harry’s first quidditch game.
“No, I think you’ve got it all wrong,” Peter argued. “I’d make a great chaser. You’d definitely be a beater. I mean legally hitting people off of flying brooms in a competitive wizard sport? If that isn’t right up your alley, I don’t know what is.”
“You’re right.” you agreed right before Harry crash landed into the sand, the golden snitch popping out of his mouth.
It was after the first movie that you started feeling peckish and by the way Peter squirmed to change positions every few seconds, you could tell he was feeling the same. Two hours awake without any food was an abnormal event for you and as a result your stomach was growling loudly. As you had other needs to attend to, you excused yourself and offered to grab the two of you something from the kitchen to snack on during the rest of your marathon.
“I’ll get it babe, you can stay in bed.” Peter offered, sitting up with you as you stood from his bed.
“That’s alright,” you assured him, handing him the disc to the second movie and the sleek black remote that controlled the monitor. “I’ve got to go to the bathroom so I’ll grab it on my way back.”
Peter laid back, his hands coming behind his head on the pillow as he eyed you on your way to the door. You smiled at him in confusion, wondering why he was admiring you so when all you were doing was fetching food.
“What?” you questioned, sliding on a sweatshirt over your pajamas.
“Sometimes I can’t believe we’re together,” he admitted. “You’re way too good for me.”
You giggled at his honesty as you moved towards the door.
“Are you still trying to sleep with me?” you teased.
“No,” he admitted, shaking his head adamantly. “...but I’m not opposed to the idea.”
You rolled your eyes playfully as you turned to leave, chuckling to yourself.
“I’ll be back soon. You can save the sweet talk for then.”
Though you couldn’t see his face, you could picture Peter’s smile as you shut the door behind you and meandered to the bathroom closest to the Avenger’s kitchen before starting towards the food.
As promised, the breakfast feast awaiting you smelled gloriously of hot buttered pancakes, sweet maple syrup, and so many other wonderful items. You prepared a lie to explain Peter’s absence as you entered the kitchen and grabbed a plate, when suddenly, the voice of your dad sounded from behind you.
“Ahh, y/n!” he startled you, causing you to drop your plate back on the stack of white porcelain where you had just barely plucked it from.
“Hi dad,” you forced a smile, turning to face him. “What’s going on?”
“I’ve been looking for you. C’mon, it’s family meeting time.” he stated casually. You realized then that the dining hall was eerily empty for a Saturday morning. The weekly buffet was normally packed with superheroes or at least a starving Thor. You furrowed your brows in confusion, never before having heard of any such meeting as you followed after your father.
“Family meeting? What about breakfast?”
“It can wait. I’ve got something we need to discuss.” you dad explained as he opened the tempered glass door to one of the many meeting rooms at the campus which was normally reserved for more professional causes.
“Okay. I’ll get Peter.”
“No time, come with me. Peter’s not invited to this one.” your father informed you as he grabbed your arm, pulling you with him inside of the meeting room where every chair was already filled by various heroes who also resided at the campus. You gave a small wave to those who cared to acknowledge your arrival and wandered to stand in a corner at the back of the room while your father took up the front. From what you could tell, everyone else was as confused as you were. You pulled out your phone just before it commenced, giving you enough time to shoot Peter a quick text explaining your prolonged absence.
 I might be awhile
That’s fine. Take your time.
You fought the urge to smile at your boyfriend’s message as you slipped your phone into your pocket and looked up to your father who was commanding everyone’s attention.
“Thank you for coming, everyone. Really, I appreciate it.”
You recognize a feminine scoff from the right of the table, Natasha shaking her head, a fearful gesture from your main combat trainer. It was a general rule around the Campus, along with don’t introduce Steve Rodgers to ASMR: don’t get Natasha Romanoff angry unless you want to be dead.
“Cut the bullshit Tony. We’re all too tired and hungry to be here for longer than necessary. Get to the point. Why are we here?”
Others voiced their agreement and Tony put his hands up.
“Fine. I prepared a nice little welcome speech for you all, but I guess I’ll skip to my main point. You’re welcome by the way.”
Natasha rolled her eyes.
“The reason I’ve gathered you here today is to discuss a serious matter concerning one of our youngest recruits who I’ve purposefully made sure is not in attendance - ” he stated as he pressed one of the buttons on the controller to the meeting room monitor, the picture popping up on the screen of a face that was all too familiar to you with tousled brown hair and chocolate eyes. “- Mr. Peter Parker.”
Your heart stopped as you heard your boyfriend's name roll off your fathers lips. From a lifetime of knowing him you were sure whatever he wanted to discuss couldn’t be good. You tried your best to not look so shocked and managed to keep a neutral expression as you mirrored Bucky who did not care for the conversation whatsoever. In fact, his expression resembles that of someone who was desperate to deck someone.
“Ah yes! The Man of Spiders!” Thor called out, quite possibly the only Avenger who seemed to be not in the least bit irritated.
“Yep, that’s the one. Here’s the thing,” Tony began as you braced yourself. “It has been two years since he graduated high school. That means he’s had two whole years of college life to get out there and make some new connections, to be a kid! But instead he comes home late every night and is always so exhausted. He’s working way too hard. So I propose that we help our little spiderling find someone he can lean on and turn to. Someone who can really help him slow down and start to be himself. It’s time we help Peter get a girlfriend.”
Your eyes shot open as his words hit you, you had to force your hands to stay down and try not to react too much. You looked around at the reactions of the others, searching for someone who may agree with you, but much to your disappointment, no one seemed as against it as you were. It seemed the topic of helping Peter made the annoyance of the meeting more tolerable and many Avengers were nodding their heads in agreement. Thor especially as he hollered in his seat in clear support.
“Yes! Wonderful idea! A lady spider! Tis like those Midgardean movies that are so popular around this time of year! What do you call them? Wrong-Cons?”
Everyone looked around in confusion.
“Thor is referring to the movie genre of romantic comedies or rom-coms.” Vision explained. With the confusion cleared others started agreeing more.
“Yes, the boy needs a break,” Wanda concurred. “And I love a good rom-com.”
“He works too hard.” nodded Nat.
Others started muttering to their neighbors how they also agreed as you shook your head in utter disbelief.
You pushed off from your place on the wall, quickly gathering the attention of the others as you joined your dad at the front.
“Are you guys crazy?” you laughed nervously. “Peter doesn’t need a girlfriend! Yes, he can be hard on himself sometimes and I agree he needs a break, but that doesn’t mean you should try and shove something in his life that he has never shown any liking towards.” you explain, trying your best to sound as unsuspecting as possible.
Here in the crowd of adults, you were only Peter’s best friend and you wished to keep them in the dark for as long as possible, especially considering your father forbid you from growing a closer connection to Peter.
To your surprise, another Avenger stood to back your point as the Winter Soldier himself took on the crowd.
“She’s got a point, Tony.” Bucky agreed.
“Yes! Thank you!” you smiled, gesturing at Bucky a little too excitedly.
“We shouldn’t force the boy into something if there’s no confirmation of his own interest,” the Winter Soldier restated, earning a nod of encouragement from you. “There’s probably a reason he hasn’t gotten a girlfriend and I think we should leave him to discover himself if you know what I mean.”
“No, no that’s not what I meant,” at once you started refuting his claim. “Peter’s not gay, he’s just not interested in dating.”
“So he’s asexual? Is that what it’s called nowadays?” Steve asked, his tiny notebook of modern definitions at the ready as he pulled a pen from the pocket of his flannel pajama bottoms. He too had only just woken up.
“No. I mean yes that is a real and valid sexual identity and some people don’t have a desire to be with someone romantically, but that’s not Peter. He’s interested, just not right now.”
“How can we trust that the Tiny Stark knows what she says of the Man of Spiders?” Thor quirked a brow at your claims. You nearly blew up at him as he asked, glaring at the rest of the room on the edge of insanity from the thought of them shipping off your boyfriend to be with another.
“I’m his best friend, okay?! And I know him better than any of you so I know for a fact that he doesn’t need a girlfriend right now!”
Your father grasped your shoulder gently, a weak attempt at calming you down.
“That was exactly my next point. You’re his best friend and you’re right. You know him way better than any of us.” your father agreed. You gave him a thankful smile, glad to finally have him on your side.
“Thanks, dad-”
“That’s exactly why you’ll be out intel and our connection to Peter in ‘Operation Pair Parker.’ That way he won’t suspect anything.” he interrupted with a proud expression.
You stared at him with wide eyes.
“You already named it!? You’re kidding right? You have to be kidding. You all know this is just unbelievably crazy right?” you asked the crowd.
“I don’t see a reason why not. It’ll be good for the kid to have someone.” Natasha disagreed and by the disapproving looks from the others, you could tell her opinion was shared by the majority.
“Exactly. See everyone gets it and we need you to carry it all out,” your father continued. “I already have a few people in mind that I can pair him with. The only reason to not to would be if you know something we don’t. Peter isn’t seeing anyone, right y/n?” your father eyed you, suspicious of your relentless attitude towards his thought out plan. You knew you couldn’t own up to it, the risk of discovery was much too great, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t anything you could do to shut down Operation Pair Parker.
“Well, I didn’t want to expose Peter since he’s only just barely told me-” you began, hardly believing the words were leaving your lips. “-but he has been seeing someone and I think it’s getting pretty serious.”
“Oh really? And who is this girl?” your father interrogated.
“Or boy.” Bucky added.
“It’s a girl,” you clarified, hurrying to think of exactly you could pin Peter’s secret relationship on without creating too much damage. “Her name is um, MJ!” you exclaimed as the name came to you. It was perfect too as she was one of your best friends and someone Peter could’ve easily hypothetically gotten with ages ago.
“You mean the overwhelmingly unenthusiastic girl that Peter has only ever talked about once?” You could tell by his raised eyebrow and narrowed eyes that Tony didn’t believe you, but there was still time to convince him. And you would do anything to end this scheme.
“Yep,” you gritted your teeth, letting out a fake laugh that you hoped sounded convincing enough. “That’s the one, good old MJ. You know what they say, opposites attract.”
Tony wasn’t fazed as the intensity of his suspecting expression lingered on.
“You sure he isn’t seeing someone he’s closer to? You’re not dating him right?” he questioned, reminding you of the age old rule. Under no circumstance were you and Peter allowed to see each other. No matter how many battles you had fought together nor how many times he had protected you from harm. Not even if the world was on the brink of collapse. Never.
“Yeah, you’re acting pretty suspicious.” Sam chimed in.
“Is something up, y/n?” wondered Nat.
You burst into nervous laughter as you thought of a plausible excuse and your web of lies deepened.
“Oh, you guys are too good. You’ve got me! I have been seeing someone.”
“I knew it! Lady Stark is with the Man of Spiders!” Thor pointed accusingly towards you.
“You did not know that.” argued Wanda as Thor had been the least suspecting of all the Avengers up until your false confession. It didn’t help that he was also the most gullible.
“No! No, no, not Peter,” you scoffed, choking out a laugh. “His name is um… Flash!”
Your face burned red as you realized who’s name had just slipped out of your mouth. Oh why hadn’t you said Ned? At least you actually enjoyed spending time with Ned. But as your father’s face shifted and your lie began to work, you knew it was too late to go back now.
“Flash? You mean that boy who’s been mean to you and Peter since you were kids?” your father knew exactly who he was through years of his name popping up in counseling sessions Tonty provided to help you figure out how to defend yourself in public without using your  powers.
“Yeah. He’s actually really nice once you get to know him and we’ve been together for a little while now.” you tried, changing your voice to match the same doting pitch it took on whenever you talked about Peter.
“Huh,” Tony pondered, but eventually shrugged the confession off as your lies snapped into place. He turned off Peter’s image on the monitor, leaving a blank black square in its place. “Well, in that case, the operation is off.”
“Alright, I guess that means I can go…” you smiled, ready to sneak off to finally grab some breakfast and more hidden moments with your real boyfriend.
“And date night is on!” Tony cheered unexpectedly.
Your eyes widened as your stomach dropped in realization of what you had just done. You and Peter were really in trouble now and it was all because you couldn’t admit the truth.
“Date night?” you repeated uneasily.
“To celebrate my children finding love, I want you both to invite your sweethearts over and we’ll have a big dinner so we can get to know them. Let Peter know he has to invite MJ.” specified your father which could only mean he expected you to invite Flash.
Oh shit. There was no getting out of it now.
“What a splendid idea.” deadpanned Vision who you could’ve sworn knew the truth about you and Peter as his room was next door. You almost glared at the android, but caught yourself.
“Yep, sure thing,” you grimaced, knowing that your lies would soon catch up to you. “And when is this whole thing supposed to be?” you asked, hoping it would be after the break so you and Peter could retreat to your separate schools instead of owning up. By then, you’d probably be able to come up with two break up stories so heart wrenching that the Avengers would understand why you would never want to date again.
“Let’s do tomorrow if we can. The sooner the better.” Tony proclaimed, pulling out his device from his pocket so that he could put the dinner into the following day’s agenda, scheduling it as a mandatory event.
You felt like you were gonna pass out.
“Great! I’ll just go tell Peter then. We’ll be ready!” you fake laughed as you walked off, truly dying inside as the crushing weight of what you had just done hit you.
Once you were out of sight of the Avengers (all of which started voting on what theme your dinner would be), you completely spaced picking up something to eat and sprinted down the hallway to Peter’s room. You stumbled in when you arrived, closing the door behind you and leaning on it, gasping for air from the rush.
“Hey baby,” Peter welcomed you back from his bed, lifting the remote to turn down the TV volume by a couple notches. “I hope you don’t mind, I started the second one, but we can totally rewind if you want…”
Confused by your lack of a reply, Peter looked at you and immediately sat up in bed, ignoring the film with a worry riddled face. The remote fell from his grasp and into the twisted sheets of his bed, never to be found again.
“Are you okay?”
You shook your head as you caught your breath, sliding down the door until you collapsed on the floor.
“No, Peter. Something terrible just happened and it’s all my fault.” you cried and curled to tuck your head into your lap. You weren’t quite to the point of tears, but it was enough distress to alert your boyfriend.
Peter sprung off his bed with a start, swinging his legs to the edge so that he could fully face you, but he was apprehensive about approaching your sullen form.
“Is it your period? Is that why you took so long? I knew I should have come to check on you…”
“No, I’m not on my period and I didn’t spend all that time in the bathroom. This is so much worse than that.” you lifted your head to speak so the words didn’t come out jumbled, but as soon as you had finished, your face returned to your lap.
Peter stood and neared you slowly, placing his hands on your forearms and squeezing you comfortingly as you lifted your head.
“I’m sure it can’t be that bad,” he assured you. “What is it?”
You inhaled deeply before rushing out a summary of the events that had taken place only moments before.
“Long story short, my dad was trying to hook you up with someone because he thinks you're so sad and lonely lately so I tried to get him off your back and now he thinks that you’re dating MJ and I’m dating Flash and we have to invite them to a big dinner with all the Avengers tomorrow.” you sputtered in one breath, gasping by the end.
“WHAT?!”
“I KNOW!”
“How are we supposed to do that? I mean maybe MJ would agree if she were even in town… maybe, but we can’t invite Flash here!”
“I know!”
“Why didn’t you say Ned?!”
“I don’t know! That’s not the point, Peter. What I’m saying is that we need to come up with something fast.”
“I think we should just tell him.” Peter confessed, not one to share your disregard for the truth. Instead, he imagined a future where he could be more open with his teammates about the love you shared, maybe even rub it into Sam and Bucky’s faces as the three held a long standing rivalry since an opposing battle at a German airport. “Better fess up now.”
“NO! Peter, my dad will KILL US if he finds out we’re together!” you shut down his suggestion, too afraid of the consequences to even contemplate telling the truth. “We’ve got to come up with something better, I can’t let him win this.”
“Ugh, you Starks and your stubbornness.” Peter groaned. While he was well informed of your father’s rule, he didn’t understand why the two of you were so competitive, especially when it came to ethicality.
“I just wished there was a way we could pull it off without inviting either of them.” you pouted, staring off into the distance when the scene playing on the screen caught your eye.
The meeting had lasted so long that while you were gone, Peter had managed to watch up to Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s secret potion escapades in the abandoned girls’ bathroom.
“Add the hairs.” directed Hermione as the golden trio sprinkled the strands into their separate goblets of green sludge, so young in only the second film in the saga.
“You're right,” Peter sighed, his attention turning to the movie at the same time as you. “Things would be so much easier if we were wizards and could make Polyjuice Potion.”
Suddenly an idea popped into your head.
“Peter! That’s it! You’re a genius.” you exclaimed, pulling away from his hold and running across the room to his closet, flipping excitedly through his collection of colored flannels.
“Thanks,” Peter blushed, moving to sit on his bed once more. “Why exactly am I a genius this time?”
Your smile widened as you came upon it, Peter’s darkest flannel that distantly resembled something your dear friend MJ would wear. You pulled it on and discarded the hanger, throwing it haphazardly to another corner of the room as you looked at your boyfriend. You beamed at him as if you had just won the lottery. For a skilled liar, stringing together a new fake story was almost as accomplishing.
“Can I borrow this?” you asked.
“Of course,” Peter obliged. “You know how I feel about you wearing my clothes. Can I just ask why this in particular?”
“We can’t ask MJ or Flash to attend themselves so we’ll just have to become them instead!”
“What do you mean?” Peter asked.
You closed your eyes and concentrated, picturing MJ in your mind and spreading your arms out from your body as the familiar tingling sensation started and your body began to change from the will of your shape shifting powers. Before long, you began to resemble the quiet girl from your school. Your hair grew longer and curled into her familiar pattern as your jawline sharpened and your limbs lengthened until the girl standing in front of Peter was no longer his girlfriend, but the one and only Michelle Jones.
You opened your eyes that now resembled her dark brown ones and smiled at him, something MJ would never do. Peter’s own face lit up as he realized what you meant.
“That’s even better than Polyjuice Potion!” he grinned, watching you nod as you looked yourself top to bottom, satisfied with the extent of your abilities.
“I think we can make this work.” you stated, moving towards Peter who was gazing at you with admiration.
“You just need to master her facial expressions. MJ would never smile that much.”
You closed your eyes again and took a deep breath as you let your smile fade away to capture MJ’s unwavering neutrality.
“That’s perfect.” Peter complimented once you had mastered it. You chuckled out of pride as your usual smile carved back onto your face along with an affectionate look as you glanced at Peter. You leaned into him, lips at the ready to peck his perfect pretty face until you were stopped by his outstretched hands.
“What?” you questioned, unused to being denied by your boyfriend.
“As much as I would love to kiss you right now, you still look like one of our best friends.” Peter explained with reddened cheeks.
“Oh right.”
Quickly, you shook off your disguised form and shifted back into yourself. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you kissed Peter and allowed him to pull you in closer by your waist, his hand sneaking up to meet the skin under his flannel. It seemed at last he would get to have his own rendition of a perfect first morning with you.
After a few moments, he lifted away from your lips with a heavy breath to ask, “Does this mean I have to be Flash?”
You sent him a guilty smile.
“Sorry babe, but we’ve gotta do what we’ve gotta do.”

In the heart of New York City, amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, there was a small diner tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. It was a place where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of sizzling bacon, and where the clatter of dishes and the hum of conversation filled the air.
It was here, in this unassuming diner, that y/n had started working as a waitress, weaving her way through the crowded tables every weekend. She had started working there part-time, while in high school, to help pay for her hopeful future at MIT, taking orders and serving up plates of comfort food to the weary souls who found solace in the diner's welcoming embrace.
It was minutes before she could clock out, and y/n had been wiping down the counter, lost in her own thoughts when the door swung open and a familiar figure stepped inside.
Tony Stark, billionaire playboy and renowned inventor, sauntered into the diner with all the confidence and composure of a man who owned the world. He was clad in a sleek suit that cost more than most people's monthly rent, his dark hair tousled and his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Y/n was confused and nervous. She had seen Tony Stark in the headlines countless times, his face plastered across magazine covers and news articles, but she had never imagined she would encounter him in person, let alone in a place like this.
Tony approached the counter with purposeful strides, his gaze fixed on y/n with a piercing intensity that sent a shiver down her spine. "You must be Y/n," he said, his voice smooth and commanding. "I've heard good things about you."
Y/n blinked in surprise, her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.
"I, uh, yes, that's me," y/n stammered, her cheeks flushing with heat. "What can I get for you, Mr. Stark?"
Tony flashed her a curt smile, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Just Tony is fine," he said, leaning against the counter with casual ease. "I'm here on business, actually. I've been keeping an eye on you, y/n. You're smart, you're capable, and you've got a gift that most people can only dream of."
Y/n's brow furrowed in confusion, her mind racing to catch up with the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside her. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Tony's smile faded, replaced by a steely resolve that sent a shiver down y/n's spine. "I want to offer you a job," he said, his voice low and intense. "A job at Stark Industries, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the world. You'll have access to resources and opportunities that most people can only dream of."
Y/n's eyes widened in disbelief, her heart pounding in her chest. A job at Stark Industries? It was an offer she couldn't refuse, a chance to escape the drudgery of her mundane existence and step into a world of limitless possibilities. But what about MIT?
But as she stared into Tony's piercing gaze, a nagging thought tugged at the edges of her consciousness—a question she had been too afraid to ask, too afraid to confront.
"I have been saving up for months to be able to get into MIT, Why me, Why now?" she whispered, her voice barely above a breath.
Tony's expression softened, a hint of sadness flickering behind his eyes. "Because you're special, Y/n," he said simply. "More special than you realize."
And with those words hanging in the air between them, Tony reached into his pocket and pulled out a small envelope, sealed with the emblem of Stark Industries. He placed it gently in y/n's outstretched hand, his touch lingering for a moment longer than necessary.
"Think about it, Y/n," he said, his voice soft but firm. "And when you're ready, give me a call. I'll be waiting."
And with that, Tony Stark turned and strode out of the diner, leaving y/n standing there in stunned silence, clutching the envelope in her trembling hands.
When she got home later that night, when y/n was alone in her apartment, she mustered the courage to open the envelope and read the letter inside. And as she poured over the words on the page, her heart pounding with excitement and trepidation, she realized the truth that had been staring her in the face all along.
Tony Stark was her father.
The revelation hit her like a thunderbolt, shaking her to her core as she struggled to come to terms with the enormity of it all. Her born from accidental pregnancy? She had always wondered who her father was but could have never imagined she was the daughter of the legendary Tony Stark.
But as she stared down at the letter in her hands, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. The strange sensations that had plagued her for years, the memories that seemed to linger just beyond the edges of her consciousness—they all made sense now.

Y/n Stark stood before the towering window of her penthouse apartment, the panoramic view of New York City sprawled out before her like a glittering tapestry. The fading rays of the setting sun bathed the skyline in a warm, golden light, casting long shadows across the urban landscape. From her vantage point high above the bustling streets, y/n could see the city pulsating with life, the steady flow of traffic like blood coursing through the veins of a living organism. It has been two years since Tony died, and she is still left with so many questions about herself unanswered.
Before Tony had died, he confessed to her, her real lineage. Her mother was not her mother. Her mother is dead and died when she was little. Tony revealed who your mother was. It was all too much. Of course, y/n believed him so he showed her. An image of her mother, and in an instant memories resurfaced.
In the faded image, y/n saw herself as a young child, cradled in the arms of a woman whose face was obscured by the passage of time. But it wasn't the identity of the woman that caught y/n's attention—it was the glint of recognition in her own eyes, a spark of familiarity that sent a shiver down her spine.
She remembered a time when she had been just a young girl, no older than five or six, playing alone in the sprawling gardens of the Stark mansion. The sun had been shining, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow across the lush greenery, and y/n had been lost in a world of her own imagination.
But then, out of the corner of her eye, she had seen something—a flash of movement, a figure lurking in the shadows. Intrigued, she had followed the mysterious presence, her curiosity leading her deeper into the labyrinthine maze of hedges and shrubbery.
And that's when she had found her—her mother, standing amidst a grove of ancient trees, her hands outstretched toward the heavens as if invoking some unseen power. Y/n had watched in awe as her mother's form seemed to blur and shimmer as if she were weaving a spell of magic that transcended the boundaries of reality itself.
At that moment, y/n had felt a surge of energy course through her veins, a tingling sensation that left her feeling both exhilarated and afraid. It was as if her very essence had been infused with the power of the universe, awakening something dormant and long-forgotten within her soul.
And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the moment had passed. Her mother had turned to face her, her eyes shining with a mixture of love and sorrow, before fading away like a wisp of smoke on the wind.
But the memory had lingered, etched into the fabric of y/n's consciousness like a scar on her soul.
Hours were spent conducting experiments and research, exploring the limits of y/n's abilities, and pushing the boundaries of what was possible. But as the days turned into weeks, and Tony became increasingly preoccupied with other matters, their investigations were pushed to the side, left unfinished and unresolved.
And now, with Tony Stark gone and y/n left to grapple with the truth on her own, she was faced with more questions than answers. What was the true extent of her powers? How had she come to possess them in the first place? And what did it all mean for her future?
The truth is that it didn’t matter. Tony was gone, and she now was accepted into MIT, she had other things to worry about now. Well, at least that's what she thought until the “shift happened”.
It was morning, a week into winter break when she felt it—a strange, disorienting sensation that washed over her like a sudden gust of wind. It was as if the very air around her had shifted, leaving her feeling unmoored and adrift in a sea of uncertainty.
At first, y/n had dismissed it as nothing more than a trick of the mind, a fleeting moment of vertigo brought on by exhaustion or stress. But as days went by she knew something was terribly wrong.
It all started when she turned on the TV and the channel "The Daily Fix" hosted by the nosy and annoying J. Jonah Jameson was on. Y/n didn’t care for the usual news but kept it on as she made her morning coffee. She was mid-coffee pour when she heard Jameson criticizing Spider-Man once again, claiming he was a coward for hiding his identity. But that didn’t make sense because he was just the one outing Peter Parker as Spider-Man, so how could his identity be hidden? It didn’t make sense, but honestly, she was too happy about her acceptance to look into it. In fact, that reminded her that she meant to gush to MJ about it.
Y/n called MJ, and they expressed their secret excitement for MIT.
"Ugh, the fall is going to be so fun, MJ. I literally can’t wait. Did you ever find out if Ned and Peter got in?"
"Oh yeah, Ned got in, but uh, who’s Peter?"
"Ha ha, very funny, MJ. Did you guys get in a fight or something?"
"No, what, Y/n?"
"Peter. Peter Parker. The nerdy guy you are like totally in love with…"
"Y/n, I don’t know what you are talking about, but I have to go. I’ll see you later. Be safe!"
"Uh, okay, bye, see you later."
Why is MJ acting like she doesn't know Peter? Y/n dialed Ned's number, her mind racing with questions and confusion. As the phone rang, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at the edges of her consciousness.
"Hey, Y/n, what's up?" Ned's voice crackled over the line, filled with warmth and familiarity.
"Ned, it's me," Y/n began, her words tumbling out in a rush. "I just talked to MJ, and she acted like she didn't know who Peter was. She said she doesn't remember him at all. Do you know what's going on?"
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line.
“Peter?”
Y/n felt her heart drop.
“Ned, is this some kind of prank that you two are pulling on me? Cause it’s not funny, everything has been all weird lately and-”
“Y/n, I have no reason to prank you, I have no idea who Peter is.”
“Oh- Okay pretend I never asked, also congrats on MIT, I have to go but ill see you soon.”
“Okay see ya, I hope things get better!”
As y/n hung up the phone, her mind raced with a whirlwind of questions and confusion. Why did MJ and Ned act like they didn't know Peter? And what was going on with the strange shift she had felt in the air lately? The pieces of the puzzle refused to fit together, leaving her feeling more lost and bewildered than before. But amidst the chaos of her thoughts, one thing remained clear—she needed answers. And the only person who could provide them was Peter Parker himself.

I was extremely late to college so I did what any sane person would do, run…😔.
In the middle of the way and all I could imagine was Peter Parker running late to class and then an empty IronMan suit coming out of nowhere to take him to class. I mean just think about the reaction in the MIT campus. Seeing an IronMan suit landing outside your classroom and expecting to see Tony Stark coming out of it and instead it’s just your quiet classmate in Advanced Physics ll.
