I finally got to see the dubbed version of the first episode of Aim to be a Pokémon Master (still known as Ultimate Journeys in the dub but you get it) and gosh I forgot just how sweet Ash is in these episodes! He’s always such a cutie, but there’s something about the way they portrayed him in this little arc that I absolutely adore. It really shows off his personality and love of Pokémon so well, and I think the dub (in the first episode at least) really translated everything quite well.

It’s so nice to have “new” episodes to look forward to again for the next 10 Saturdays! Yes, I already watched them all in Japanese, but getting to see them dubbed really does feel like a whole new experience, especially since Canada does weekly releases. I cannot stand and never liked the Netflix batch releases; it really messes up my hype. Getting to look forward to a new episode every week really just has that nostalgic vibe to it, especially since we’re onto the episodes with Misty and Brock returning.

I know my heart is going to break all over again once we reach the end, but it’s honestly amazing that I feel like I’m right back into the “looking forward to new episodes of Pokémon” vibe for at least a little while.
