After the battle of the Department of Mysteries, there were several arrests of those involved, which included Lucius Malfoy and named him the leader of the group. Bellatrix had unfortunately escaped but there was a new awareness for potential danger from her now.

After recovering from the head wound, retrieving his eye from the floor and mourning Sirius, Alastor found himself walking through the gates of the Malfoy Manner, passing the albino peacocks as he went before rasping the top of his staff on the grand looking door. A barer of bad news, but a capable one as he waited for an answer.
