              ♙ –      Did that statement really come as much of a surprise? No– not when just about every person that crossed paths with Credence considered the boy simple. Dummy was just– well, one way of putting it. Not that he should have been surprised that someone would want him to play that part. Was it   R E A L L Y   an act?     (yes but, no one needed to know that)

             ❝ I… uh… okay but, I’m not sure why me being the dummy is necessary. Nobody thinks I’m particularly smart anyways. ❞

Her enthusiastic grin faded slightly at the awkward and EMOTIONLESS response she received. She had been swinging back and forth on the balls of her feet like an eager child, but now stilled, and looked at the boy young man CAREFULLY. She had only been teasing, and she didn’t think she was particularly intimidating in stature, but the way his shoulders hunched and gaze lowered would have made one think that Alys actually STRUCK him or something.

“Er — it doesn’t matter, really. I can be the dummy. Honestly, we just need to get past the guards. I suggested it because they tend to be less on their guard around HELPLESS little women like me.” And they were Muggles anyway, so it’s not like they were in any danger.

♙ –          All awkward hands, too many teeth and not enough air but, Credence couldn’t pull away. Wouldn’t pull away. Even if somewhere in the back of his mind he knew he should. There was the constant memory of his mother… her words running through his mind that he just couldn’t shake but at the same time in this moment he couldn’t bring himself to care.

               Fingers moving through hair, tugging Sirius closer (this was a horrible idea) Credence couldn’t bring himself to care about the fact that he had no experience with what he was doing. None whatsoever.

                Finally, the need for breath was too great and even as he pulled away just to gather air back into his lungs his eyes never left the other man’s. This most certainly was far better than what he had expected.     ❝ I… I’m s… sorry I shouldn’t have done that. ❞     Although the truth was that he really wasn’t sorry. The clear refusal to take a step away the first indication.

Sirius had not been expecting a kiss from Credence. He hadn’t been expecting any physical contact from the other male, honestly, but he wasn’t disappointed. He’d accepted the kiss as he would from any attractive male (some unattractive ones, too, if he was quite honest) -- graciously and with vigor.

His lips had been working against Credence’s with just as much fervor, his tongue in the other’s mouth, his hands on Credence’s body, holding him just that much closer. When Credence pulled away to breathe, the grin on Sirius’ face was almost painfully large.

“No need to apologize.” He answered, a confident gleam in his eye. “I liked it... and I think you did, too. What did I do to get you to do that, by the way? I need to know... for the future.”

Grindelwald had no way of knowing what was on Credence’s mind, but it wasn’t hard to guess. The boy had been sensitive and peculiar since the dark wizard had met him, and Grindelwald had accepted that. It wasn’t so bad to be a bit odd, even sensitive -- though the older man was not well equipped to handle it, he did what he could. “You do not know what I will do, boy.” He answered, perhaps a bit too curtly. “You haven’t a clue my plans or my levels of tolerance. One day, Credence, I believe you will stop being so sensitive to everything. You will do things without fail, you will stop doubting yourself. Clearly, today is not that day.”

Grindelwald put a hand on the boy’s shoulder then used his palm to tilt his chin up so they were looking at one another, even angling his face down so they were a bit closer. “When are you going to trust me? Because you say that you do... but I have yet to see it. You are faithless and that is disturbing.”

           A good fight was rare for him to come by without him using any “enhancements”, spells and charms he rarely used unless there was an absolute need. Most wizards couldn’t put up a fight if they were made to but the no mag’s? That was something else. Working himself into the underground was something he enjoyed, even if he walked away from it scraped up. But with a pocket full of their money, some bruises, gashes, and fractures where nothing. Sitting in an alley, a little bit away from the edge, Layne ran a thumb along a split in his lip and winced as it started to heal. It was one of the minor scrapes but it was the biggest nuisance at the moment. He was halfway done with healing a split along his cheekbone when something else pulled his focus.

                  His gaze moved towards a figure at the end of the alleyway that stopped and stared at him, a brow raising as he saw the young man there. Straightening his back against the wall, he flashed a small smile and chuckled. “And how long have you been watching for?”.

Newt and Tina, without a doubt. With most ships, I tend to stay pretty locked in on canon, anyway, but Newt and Tina are honestly so wonderful together.

I have a lot of things to say about them, because honestly, their relationship is so special, and so important to each of them. I think they each see the qualities which they admire most within each other. Strength, and sympathy, and such an inclination to protect. They’re both givers, you know?

They’re pretty special, and I love them a whole lot.

character in general: I said it once, I’ll say it a thousand more, CREDENCE BAREBONE IS. MY SON. MY PRIDE AND JOY. Credence Barebone deserves better 2k16/17/forever. &Bless anyone who rps him tbh.how they play them: I love!! K first of all can I say I love demi!Credence?? #Bless. You can tell that so much thought has gone into this portrayal. Like holy cow have you seen these about pages? I’m also p sure this is one of the first Credence’s I followed. A good the mun: I haven’t had the opportunity to get to know Liz, but they seem really cool!

Following the bugger that escaped his suitcase in search of shiny things, the Niffler let him below deck where valuables were kept. He had hoped the Niffler wouldn’t have tried to escape since an international incident wasn’t someone Newt wanted to be part of, muggles or wizards wise, so he’ll have to grab the Niffler before a muggle spotted him. Walking around the semi-dark room he listened carefully for the sounds of drawers opening and followed it. Pulling out his wand in hopes of blocking the creatures escape he ended up finding something unexpected. Someone unexpected more like it. ❝C-Credence?❞

( there's a lot in this that i don't necessarily agree with. some points are interesting and bring up good food for thought but, at the same time there's faults to said observations. )

i disagree with a lot of the “more fanciful headcanons” in op’s own terms ---- especially when it comes to the obscurus manifesting under positive emotions (which seems to contradict everything we  do  know about an obscurus and even contradicts some op’s own points). but there is certainly a lot to be said about the ‘scientific knowledge’ of an obscurus and obscurial that is stated as ‘fact’ in the movie and the fact that the wizarding community may not (probably doesn’t) fully understand them. it’s the problem of an unreliable narrator: the only two people who try and act like they know anything at all are newt (unreliable on account of his bias towards protecting & saving everything) and graves (unreliable on account of... well, everything).

the movie leaves a lot open to interpretation and i really think we’re going to see the idea fleshed out a lot more in the next one and personally i’m super excited about that

Good question… 

I’d say Tina is more of a smooth and glossy texture kind of lady. Her sister has always been the one into soft fluffy things, be it animals alive or stuffed (not taxidermy XD). Tina has an appreciation for tidiness and simplicity, hence… smooth. ^_^
