I've just returned from taking my dad's ashes home. To my surprise, a big box was waiting for me, and I’ve been in actual tears all morning... My dad used to call me his little bunny, a nickname I hold near & close to my heart. I'm beyond grateful. It feels like a hug from him, a reminder that love transcends time. I’m so grateful for this unexpected kindness. Thank you so so soooo much "Jonny" it means more to me than anything right now. Moments like this remind me that even in the hardest times, we’re never truly alone. 🐰💖

Happy Heavenly Birthday dad …you would of turned 97 today…I miss all those days on the farm of you working in the field or drying the corn because it smelled like popcorn. Losing my dad has been the worst nightmare of my life.

The void... that existing void that I feel... I think it'll never go away.

My life changed completely in just a couple of months.

I miss him so, so much that I can't believe how things turned this year.

I hate it. I hate this, I hate the feeling, I hate the sorrow... the thing is, i don't care if I die today, tomorrow or soon. Nothing matters to me anymore.

It seems like a nightmare that I can’t wake up from. Day after day I glance at your door when I walk by but it’s always closed. Now and then I open it just to make sure. To reconfirm what I already know. Nothing is as it was, nothing looks the same. It’s different, it’s changed, but I remember. I recall every detail of that room. Each thing and where it sat. An absolute mess, but yet everything exactly where it should be. Except for you. That’s not where you were supposed to be. That’s not where you were supposed to stay. They warned me I think. They tried to tell me to prepare. But I didn’t listen. I couldn’t listen. I knew but I wouldn’t admit it. Not to myself. It wasn’t possible. I refused to believe what I was living was real. It was all a nightmare, I believed I’d wake up. But I never did. But I will. I have to. The day will come when I open that door and everything will be where it is supposed to be. Everything will be back in its place. But not you. You won’t be in there, because you will be standing beside me. But for now I’ll keep checking that door, I’ll keep waiting for you.
