100% agree with you on the marauders and Snape issue tbh. James grew up, and so did Sirius - not as much as James perhaps but neither of them would have ever bullied an innocent child that had nothing to do with their childhood rivalry. So while I love Snape as a character and admire his bravery (it sure takes guts to lie to Voldemorts face on a daily basis) I can never forgive him for how he treated Harry (and other Gryffindor students too of course! Poor Neville especially!)
