after the valentine’s day audio, all i can imagine is milo/sweetheart both being unable to focus very well or sleep because they have some kind of unshakeable feeling that something’s missing after sweetheart ghosted.

like sweetheart tries to drown themselves in work again, but they keep replaying the conversations in their head. how he somehow had the perfect balance of passion & gentleness the whole time they were together. how being in his arms was probably the most comfortable they’d felt in years. it doesn’t immediately click that they’re already attached, but they can’t help feeling like they need to go back.

milo feeling so heavy with disappointment. his usual suave demeanour starts to seem a lot more like a wet dog. he regrets not holding them for longer, he misses the few times he managed to make them laugh, he’s not sure what he would’ve said if he saw them leave, but maybe it would’ve felt better if he got to say something.

both of them are a little frustrated with themselves because it was brief. it was just supposed to be some case, how do you even end up sweet on a person that quickly?

sets his fork down, takes one sip of his champagne, nd the waiter comes and snatches his plate up like a bird with its prey

he’s choking on his drink and making weird noises to symbolize his confusion becuase he doesn’t even know if he has any verbal words for what just happened

he turns around in his chair and tries to consolidate the waiter while still trying to keep his cool (by now you’re cracking the fuck up)

“aye— ‘s not funny, sweetheart. what the fuck just— ‘scuse me. i— i wasn’t done with that— what the shit ???? y’see what just happened ? i’m not goin’ crazy, am i?”

he’s trying to get the waiters attention but they just keep walking away until theyre out of his sight and he

is so pissed off

when you can’t hold in your laugher anymore and through your cackles you mumble out the meaning of the prank he looks at you and goes:

“really. really. y’know i don’t play about my food, sweetheart, i could bite your hand off right now if i could. you’re lucky that’s a felony ‘cause your arm would be halfway down my throat right ‘bout now.”

you apologize to him by letting him steal some bites of your plate which he takes with stubborn reluctance

you’re trying to hide your phone from under the table but it’s so hard not to laugh because ash is literally playing tug of war with this fucking waiter for his chicken katsu

after a few minutes of him trying to reason with the waiter, the waiter eventually gets the high end of the stick and snatches the plate out of his hands, walking away while trying to keep their own giggles in

trying to mentally process if the lighter in his car would be a good fire starter to burn the place down

he slowly turns to you and just starts whining about the whole situation, letting out some laughs himself (becuase seriously what else can he do)

“so …. so are they gonna give it back or ……….. ??oh— oh they’re walking away. they’re going back into the kitchen. oh my god. baabe. did you see that ????? the pack is never gonna believe me holy shit—“

when the waiter gives the plate back, he just starts bursting out laughing because he doesn’t realize that it’s a trend and he for real thinks that this is a once in a lifetime experience

you never tell him that it was a prank because you feel like it’s funnier if he thinks it was a real thing

i dont think we’re appreciating Wizards Beyond Waverly Place bringing back something that tv shows haven’t been doing in years: filler episodes.

there have been episodes of very simple premises like “oh, Billie’s old best friend visits and chaos erupts meanwhile Milo’s been turned into a gnome” or “the whole family ends up being a wizard immersive board game, costumes involved!” it’s fun, silly, and still brings forth emotional bonding and development for the main character (and other characters too).

So, I saw a post talking about how people hate when fans focus on Milo’s looks instead of Wally’s character.

It made me want to make a post on why I love Wally:

-He cares. Throughout the whole first season, up to the first time we even learn his name, he wanted to help Maddie. Before even knowing anything about her, he asked to help her fill some gaps in her memory. Although she declined, he still was willing to help. Towards the end of season 1, he was still continuing to try and help Maddie, despite how he was treated at the dance. In season 2, this is more evident. However unhealthily it was, he began putting her needs above his own. He went through HELL just to find answers for Maddie. And it’s not only about Maddie. After being reminded of how he acted in high school, he comforted Charley and even told him he’d beat up anyone who was rude to him. He also has been a shoulder to lean on for Charley consistently. Wally has pushed Charley to Yuri multiple times, and assured him Yuri had feelings for him. He’s such a caring character, going as far to put others above himself.

-His character development. In the first season, he’s introduced as a jock himbo. He was goofy and a little slow, but it was loveable. Now, in the second season, we learn about the darker parts of him. We learn he still is hung up on 80’s ideals, and is unsure of how to treat Maddie. He believed he had to ‘put on a cape’ for her, and had to protect her. Maddie assures him he doesn’t need to do that for her, and tells him it’s not the 80’s anymore. He takes her advice without argument, later apologizing to Yuri about the Vase. He also had more development that was introduced in the newest episode. We learned Wally was a homophobic bully when he was alive. This seemed to surprise people, despite the time he came from. This is because it seems so out of character for him, proving how drastically he changed. What he did cannot be excused, or made up, but his actions after his death show important changes within his character. He continually supports Charley unconditionally, abandoning how he previously felt towards his LGBTQ+ peers. He’s still changing, and still growing.

-He’s funny. This seems like a weak reason compared to the others, but it’s true. He never fails to make me laugh with his one-liners. I feel like he’s somewhat of a comedic relief, just with a complex personality. He’s not only there to make us laugh, as I made clear above. He seems to always be the light in the darkest parts of this show. The ghosts have recently been through a lot, and Wally is always there to cheer them up. Rhonda usually refuses to include herself, but she danced with the rest of them, as well as Quinn, who was feeling left out before this. He brings the group together consistently.

Yes, he has his faults, but he still continually tries to be better.
