Not to derail from your tragic early morning coco-misshapp but:

O'keeffe's Working Hands is actually a really good brand of lotion and can really help with healing your skin and keeping it from cracking in the winter, from rough use or just keep them smooth in general. Not a sponsor or anything, but my dad usually get's really deep cracks in his fingers from a life of laboring and this is the ONLY thing that has ever helped him heal through those cracks.

They even have one for the feet that's a little thicker and they have one for the lips called 'Working Lips' (lol) but it's great and it's the only one I use now in the winter. Okay bye!

it’s so hot here that last night i discovered my trader joe’s chocolate wedges, one of which was meant to be my cheeky before bed treat, had fully liquified

alas i thought to myself, setting the small round circular tin down on the far side of the bedside table. none of this for me this tonight, i thought, applying my nightly coat of working hands hand cream

i woke up at 4 am and went to the bathroom. had to wash my hands obviously. had to moisturize them afterwards, in the dark, too.

needless to say, the first thing I appreciated when it was, at last, bright enough to see this morning was an

Fraternal twins cannot come from the same egg (unless a weird misshapp happened like two different egg fused, which is cool af as a concept tho I am not sure it can happen in real life), they must come from two different eggs to be fraternal and thus be able to look different, if they come from the same egg (like Sky and Peril) they must be basically identical since they come exactly from the same fecunded cells

(Thus why the Trans Peril headcanon started, as they must be biologically identical and Scarlett called Sky a "he", Scarlett had no reason to misgender a dead baby, meaning that Sky as of canon was probably born male, meaning that, by biological standards, Peril was born male. Yes, Peril and Sky are said to look different but it probably has to do with both having too much or too little fire, as Peril was said to look slightly different when she was enchanted to not have fire.)

New headcanon about SkyWings:

I’ve been thinking about Sky and Peril a lot. Here are some Things that I came up with (mixed in with some stuff that’s just canon or common headcanon).

Firstly, yeah, I think Sky is trans. That’s almost canon at this point. He probably doesn’t ‘pass’ if such a term exists in dragon culture, but hey, no transphobia from the society, confirmed by the author herself! Everyone just lets him live his best boy life! Hell yes!

Secondly, I think that the SkyWings, especially before Ruby’s time, were very religious with their egg-hatching process. They would leave an egg out facing the sky (every egg is left alone with either a parent or another caring party, but there are no mass hatcheries). Any deviation from standard hatching procedures is frowned upon.

The hatching process of eggs containing twins is slightly different. They are kept much higher up, for fear (read: superstition) that the sky spirits will not notice the dragonets individually otherwise, cursing them to never truly find themselves because they share a soul.

Egg theft is not a common practice, but if it does happen, these higher nests are usually targeted because the altitude makes them less easy to visit and protect regularly. The egg Hvitur stole was probably a twin egg, and he was probably exhausted (eggs-hausted, anyone?) from the thin air and long flight.

Peril and Sky’s egg was also left in the high mountains, but when touched, one side was warm, the other stone cold. Kestrel was sure Sky would never survive when the egg finally hatched.

MAJOR spoilers for my Cadmium AU (also known as ‘Wings of Fire: What if The SkyWing had Survived?’) up ahead:

Cadmium and Flame were fraternal twins, not identical twins. As described, they have drastically different scale colours and patterns, along with Cadmium’s slightly crooked tooth, a minor detail and an trait Avalanche has that I mentioned in a recent chapter.

They do, however, have the same spine, wing and claw shape, as well as the same eyes and a similar shape to them. They are about as similar as normal twins.

My idea of how this happened is that Avalanche was a dragon on the inside, there to give Hvitur the egg and leave, raising little suspicion, but when the egg hatched into two dragonets instead of one, Avalanche had to return and take one of them back to Nautilus. She chose Flame, further isolating himself from both the real and false dragonets of destiny.

A thing i hate about some roleplayers

ok hear me out her. i play dnd, vtm, some made up games freinds and i do on the fly verbaly and even typecast rpg on discord for fun late at night or on weekends. i do this to keep from being reminded of select things in my life. sometimes people use rpg’s and all as a chance to have a moment for them to forget their lives and be specal because they are the only one like themselves or be the only one of that kind left or around because they just need t have that one character that is a specal snowflake to make themselves feel better about themselves.

this being said i have discovered a new rpg pet peeve. recently i have started playing a slime a litteal slime called mort. this slime is most of the time a purple version of this thing only more fluid like most of the time and can talk with a bit of a brittish baratone accent 

now mort is about the mass of a black lab and being the only intelegant slime int he world of the rpg he is in i had fun with the idea of him being the only one like himself(i say he because well i need somethign to call mort other then just it since mort is nether male or female.) mort can take any form he wants male or female so long as he has the mass to make it. heck he can turn himself into a person even a cat and at the same time still remain a slime. because of mort being the only talking slime they face alot of hell and worse most slimes tend to eat anythign including other slimes. mort because of this tends to stay close to solid organism beings and not eat living things. 

now i bet your wondering well what sparked a issue with this character well what happened was i askd for a partner to play with and a person i normally play with that seems to have a thing with being a drama magnet (aka the kind where if the drama isnt mainly focased on me i wont be able to play with you person who has made it to where i dont even want t touch a character anymore) offers to play with me. thinking they might have listened to sme of my characters sl and all since they are in alot when i play it i agree. 

big mistake as soon as i start playing with them i think ok so your having somethign hide in the shadows cool maybe its a sneaky dragon race or a sly human. nope they basicly ripp off my idea of mort and turn it orange.

now dont get me wrong i am cool with alot of thigns some races that are known to a world that a person makes alot of times you ask them hey is it cool i make one of your race can i get some history of the people all that thats great. i mean hell ive asked many players if i could and if i cant i ask if i can tie one of my already made characters to them and we work out a idea and we have fun. BUT THIS WAS DONE WITH NO ASKING OF HOW THE KIND WORKED OR ANYTHING. they didnt understand that mort was a made slime by a wizards misshapp nope they just had a slime at random there and talking. now because of how mort is yeah character ran flat out ran making me look like a asshole to alot of people in the room and i am left to feel like utter shit. 

to the people that do thi kind of thing yeah yall are jerks no one should have to feel bad for playing a custom race they made just because oh what if they met someone like them dont you get that in order for that to happen a wizard would have had to have had the same potions at the same time to make that odds of that happening are next to 0. any dm or world builder could tell you that climate and land elevation could also take a play into it aswell as the time of year. so there for to have 2 of the same at the same time from differnt areas is too hard to have happen. at the rate of any others showing up they will have to come from my guy because its basicly both the addem and the eve of its race since im sitting here everynight working out how their biology works.

anyway sorry yall i really just needed to rant that out. thanks for putting up with this explostion of a rant.
