So I will show some dice as a dice tax on this but I need to get this event from dnd off my chest. I don't know how some others have been dealing with dnd and the pandemic lately but I've been having a hard time and recently something happened that really has hurt.
I have alot of health conditions and because of that I'm at risk with covid 19. I also have my mother and father who are both in their 60s. Dnd has been a way for me to get out of the house. I got to see people and hang out with my freinds (or as of how I'm feeling now people I thought where freinds.) When the pandemic hit we where basicly staying home and adjusting to the new norm. We started off easy. We all had discord and we all had microphones. Because of this I could hear everyone. Using a bit called dice maiden we where able to get good and bad rolls to make the outcomes a blast.
I figured even when we where in phase 0 and 1 we would still be doing this in phase 2 but I was wrong. As phase 2 opened up my group all picked to go to someone's house and have me call in on discord. When this happened the issues started. For the past 4 or 5 games I've had trouble hearing the dungeon master or anything the other players had said. At times my character was not even considered in group discussions like what to do or anything. Then the dm just desided to start moving my character with the group without me knowing and that was a big issue for me. Mainly since as a player I had no idea what was going on in game so I knew that if this was something my character would not go into it would mean my character was being forced into a incident or situation that they nor I consented to.
The night in question that has me hurt the most is last game night I had with my group. After stating for the 6th time I could not hear the dm or anyone they finally desided to stop game and figure the tech issues. Once I started to voice my feelings about the situation after they said we cant do that on the tablet ir computer I was met with one phrase that I still am having trouble with.
"Well it's not our fault your having to be left out. We cant do anything for you so we just have to deal with it."
I wanted to leave the games voice call but didn't because I didn't want to cause more trouble them I felt I already had. For the first time since I started playing table top games to escape from my worries over my physical condition I have felt like I don't belong. The game continued as expected with the rest of the players having fun. I made an excuse to type my response when I was finally acknowledged as a player since I was so choked up and scared to speak much in my characters voice.
In all honestly I don't know what to do. Do I just go ahead and completely say screw this or try to come back and make them understand? Anyway here are my dice for the dice tax. Any advice is helpful at this point.

Dungeon Master Xmas Rant
Just when I thought the holidays could not get any worse they did today. as many of you guys know I run a Dungeons & Dragons Discord with my friends. We've rarely take new people into the group because of the fact that we would like to get to know the person before we allow them to play a game. We also have what we call the trial period. This is when a player who is new and it's not certain they want to join our group comes in and sits in on game for a couple of weeks. This allows the player to do a lot of things that most would never think to give a player who is new to D&D a chance to do. One of the things that we use it is to be able to allow a player who is new to our group an insight into the world they get to learn the characters and the world itself as well as the rules that the world abides by. Being the fact of most of my worlds are Homebrew this means that the players also get the idea of which rules from the books we use as well as some of the house rules. Now this is to say that we do have some major standards this means that a lot of our games that are adult oriented do have an age limit. At which you are allowed to participate in. This means that some games are strictly for those who are 21 years of age and up or even to the point of, ‘all right will allow the eight-year-old to come in and play but after this point know that the next game they might not be able to because that's when we have to go to the section that is way above their age level.’ So why am I telling you this? I'm telling you guys this because we just had another issue with a player. On second thought no we didn't have a issue we had a lot of issues. For me as a dungeon master I have to control the world that the players are running around in. This means I have to go over everyone's character sheet and background I also have to go over there backstory. When a player is having trouble with their back story I usually go ahead and help him figure out exactly where they need to fill in the places. I also help them figure out what they don't need their back story because it could cause trouble with the world schematics or even break the campaign because you're basically making a character that is too overpowered. Example of this can be found in a different rant that may or may not have already been published already. But on to the issues that we had with this player. Issue number one was the fact that whenever we got into the game the player was always very standoffish with their character. As a dungeon master I enjoy a little bit of angst and it's always fun to see kind of the bad boy character or the Emo character but then there's a point of taking it to the degree of your really just making it hard for anyone to interact with your character and move the story along. An example of this can be found in one game that a lot of my players are having a lot of fun with. The world that I have them running in is a mix of Supernatural meets American Pie meets Animal House mixed in with a little bit of Scooby-Doo. It's all based in the 1970s world that is just coming off of the hippie era and slowly going into the disco scene. The players all play college kids that are in a fraternity and are basically trying to stop one of the greatest on speakable evils known to mankind. They do have a little bit of leeway with the fact of the person who is basically the head guy to talk to you with campus security is their sponsor for their frat house and at the same time they also have the added advantage of certain characters are still running around that can help them. One of which is an NPC that I placed in that is kind of the Minotaur version of Tommy Chong from Cheech and Chong. And at the same time just for the heck of it I threw in a version of Jay and Silent Bob where Jay is a satyr Warlock and Silent Bob is a dwarf Paladin. I usually try to put in a lot of Pop Culture references and it makes everybody laugh a lot. Well this player decided that they wanted to go ahead and mess things up. And when I mean mess things up I mean unfortunately this player did some very ridiculous things. He wanted to be a werecat but they also wanted to be a Druid now whenever were talking about certain things I usually go ahead and I'm pretty lenient with my players. I gave them the ability to understandably turn into a half-and-half form of an animal as well as the ability to turn into the Natural Animal itself but they would not be able to talk much like wild shape for a druid. Only it would work longer and it would only work on the type of where creature they were. Being a generous DM I gave them this thinking that they wouldn't abused it as much as they did. And when I mean abused I mean they abused it. The character was constantly in the form of a cat not even a big cat a house cat. It got very annoying and unfortunately it got to the point where the player itself didn't want to go ahead and interact with anybody other than the fact of well this conversation.
Dm: “Okay wait they were here?”
Player: “Yeah you didn't notice.”
Dm: “No you didnt say you followed.”
Player: “Um yeah i did i was there the whole time.”
Dm: “Where then where in the room?”
They made it to where I unfortunately as a dungeon master I could never tell when the cat was in the room and it started to get very annoying to where I told them they had to make it known that they were there. At the same time they were also not happy unless all the spotlight was on them for certain s***. Whenever characters started to do any form of romance with a different character a NPC or even another player character they would kind of get uppity and try to get the attention all on them again. This was getting annoying and unfortunately I was unable to have a lot of contact with them because they were constantly working. The last game we had was the day before Christmas Eve and I asked him if they were coming to game and they said no I'm not feeling well. Being the kind of person that I am I left it at that and I decided that I would be talking to them about the issues that we were having another day. Not just for my end but from the players and as well because the players were getting upset that the character did not really try to help the group whenever things would happen. The character was always centered on themselves they didn't do anything to help any of the other players whenever a battle came they only protected who themselves. And in this game unfortunately the one that I'm running you have to protect not only yourself but you also have to watch out for your friend who's standing right next to you a lot more than yourself. Because once that line is broken that's it game over the party will be at a major risk of a total party kill. So what do I do Christmas Eve was the next day and I decided that I would go ahead and wait until Friday. Since Christmas this year falls on Wednesday, I figured that it would be all right to go ahead and give him 3 days before I called them since I would be working with my service dog on Thursday. On Friday I had planned to call them and that was that or so I thought. Christmas comes and I go to my family's house I'm normally not one to deal with one side of my family and they usually make me pretty uncomfortable. So I was already in a kind of mood and all I was thinking was present time is almost here and after we have presents we pick up the food and then we all go home. This means I only have 1 hour and 45 minutes left of Christmas. That is when I get a contact on my Discord server. Only it's not the main server its individual message. I had time so I decided to go ahead and take a look I figured it was one of my friends on Discord sending me a Merry Christmas card or picture. However it wasn't it was the problem player who told me that they were going to leave the game. They told me that the reason they were going to be leaving the game was because they weren't having as much fun as they had in the beginning. A lot of my games do have a good bit of combat but I also balance at all with a good bit of dialogue and at the same time I also tried to balance it off with a bit of puzzle work that the players have to do. This player was more of a combat player and at the same time was also the kind of person that if there wasn't any combat going on every 10 seconds they would basically get bored. For a D&D game to work you have to have a complete balanced and at the same time you have to rotate the importance of each player in an entire rotation. One session segment might be about one player and then the next one another player so you have to take it all in turn it's a complete Carousel Ride. As soon as one player has had the spotlight on them for long enough you then have to move to the other players in the queue. The bad part is that this hit at a point where I was not in a good mood and at the same time it only made it worse. For me Christmas has always been a time where I have really bad seasonal depression and at the same time where I don't feel like I belong. So upon me getting this notification and i was at christmas you know i wa not happy. And the bad part is that broke the goliths back. For the week before this i found out the player had also during the week expressed his issues to the players stating that he didn't want to talk to me about it because he felt like I wouldn't listen to him. When all the players know that I do listen to them and that I encouraged them constantly to come to me if they ever have any questions or any concerns. So I did the only thing I could which was go ahead and allow him to know that okay fine you can leave thanks for letting me know. But also a tip for other Gamers out there as well as this one if you're going to go ahead and say you're leaving a game or leaving a table. Maybe you shouldn't do that on a holiday because you don't know what that person is going through Master might have a bad connection with a certain holiday not just Christmas but possibly Easter or some other holiday. Maybe it holds bad memories for them and they're trying to not have bad memories happen on that day. Today I was trying to make a few good memories with my family but unfortunately this message made it to where I couldn't have that it completely ruined my day. And unfortunately I had a really bad time a Christmas this year. When I expected to get a merry Christmas I got a sorry but your game is too boring and I'm going to disrupt what little bit of happiness you're trying to have just to make you feel like dirt. As such the gamer has now been removed from our server and now we're looking for somebody to replace him. It's also gotten me to the point where I'm now debating going ahead and making an entire panel for an up-and-coming convention that I'm going to about dungeon master rants things that make the dungeon master story keeper and Storyteller angry. Maybe this will be a good platform for other dungeon Master's to come forward about their own issues that they've had with their groups or players and possibly allow other dungeon Master's to give them an idea as to how to handle this. Problem players are always an issue and unfortunately it can be even more of an issue when they decide to go ahead and ruin your holidays.

my thoughts on character building
ok so we all have our own way to build characters. some get stats first and then powers then make there back story and all that jazz. for me its different. ive seen many different styles of how people build characters. ive also tried different ways to build a character for a rpg. this means that from the time i was 13 to the age i am now i have finally perfected my own way of building something that i thought i would share and also inform you guys of a character that i have in the current dnd game we are playing in my group. im doing this because ill be writing as him now and then to practice keeping a log in character while also keeping a log for myself with how the game is progressing. this way i can look back at my notes when i am absent so i can separate what my guy knows and doesn't know.
so this is how my formula works in a short sum up
1) ask the dm what races are allowed int he world and clear the race first
2) roll the gender dice to see if it will be male or female
3) come up with a list of small personality details you want with the character. odd quirks, habits, phobia’s, likes and dislikes.
4) pick a class
5) write a backstory you feel you can get behind
6) find a background that helps fit the back story more
7) add final details to backstory and get it cleared with the dm/gm
8) fill out your sheet
this has helped me a bit since it makes it easier for me to better understand what ill be controlling in the dm’s world. i made this list to help me some with role playing online and so far i have found it helps with a lot of my dnd stuff as well. here is what i had for flint.
1) i wanted a force to help drive him make him different then what i had done in the past with characters but also wanted to challenge a stereotype with him. most of the races i had on the list where cool but i found the elemental was drawing me. so i asked if a fire gensai was ok. sure enough my dm cleared it and i was free to roll the dice.
2) i had made a dice for this and i rolled t 3 times came up male
3) for this i picked out some things from my favored male characters in movies. those where jack sparrow, whestly from the princess bride, and robin hood from robin hod men in tights. i wanted the guy to have kind of a jack sparrow way of speaking slightly but at the same time i wanted him to be kind of a ladies man.
with the princess bride portion i wanted him to have a strong since of what love was but at the same time know how to be a proper gentleman on things and to stand up for what he felt was right.
with Robbin hood well that was easy i wanted him to be able to be snarky to the point at times where you wanted to stretch his tongue out or possibly hurt because of how annoying he can be at times when he gets puckish
with that in mind i knew i had to give him a list of wide likes and dislikes as well as quirks. for a phobia i came up with the idea of the fear of a select animal which is common for many characters. some are scared of dogs, cats, spiders hell even bats. but for flint i wanted to give him something fun to be scared of so i picked these evil buggers
that’s right geese. a fire elemental with a irrational fear of geese. but lest it will keep him some what likable at points that he can be undone by water foul. for his likes i made that easy anything xrated which im not naming or listing and at the same time warm places. dislikes where also easy and that was those that hurt others and at the same time caused other harm. odd quirks for him was hard but i picked that he has a habit of putting things in his mouth a lot because he has a thing about that.
4) i wanted to go with fighter and when i found out magic and fighter could be a thing with eldrich knight you know i jumped on the idea of a magical fire tank
5) background was simple was born to a loving mother and distant genie of a dad but saved part of his town from a wild fire that had gone ahead and leveled part of the town stayed behind to help rebuild.
6) this was tricky but i settled on folk hero
7) i finished out the last bit showed it to my dm and they cleared it that meant the last thing
8) i filled my sheet out and now my character is just a horny pyro that can easily annoy or cause a hell of a weird tavern story with the other pc’s but of course is hell for my dm because i am the reason we have select sickness’s now available in the game.
on the hold the character in this way of building makes it easy for me to immerse myself in the story but at the same time know how i can work his mind and his actions. its thanks to this formula that ive made characters that i can have laughs with and at the same time learn from in a game about the worlds the dm’s have worked on for months to even years
hopefully this will help get a idea on how i build but possibly help you in building your own dm headache maker.

Todays class tribute is the bard a often overlooked class but thanks to 5th edition bards have from what i have seen gotten more bad ass but at the same time still remain the odd jack of trades

What race do you want to play next time you do a dnd character?
easy half orc. ive yet to fully play one since in some ways ive wondered and done resurch into how one could be and so far i think i have a idea for one. that and half orcs from what ive seen people play seem to have alot of room for ideas of how they play them and the jokes you can make with them. mostly since they are known for being brutes and breaking things all the time

Hormonal drows are scary
So our party runs up on 4 bandits and when asked how many they shoot a pregnant drow cleric how does this normally peaceful shy drow act. Gets off her horse and walks over to them still with a arrow in her and yells at them.
"I have gone against wolves normal and frost, ice had to deal with 2 poler bears and on top of being pregnant I get shot in the arm. Now get over here spread your legs so I can make you into the pathetic women you are."
The bandits then go and pick berries letting them pass. Humiliated and scared. Ask me if that's how she comes out with the anger hormones I wonder how she will act sad as she isn't a normal drow and doesn't look like one either

So a month ago i started running a game on skype
this is how im starting it because i dont know how else to explain it. in the party we basically have a good mix of characters races (dwarven, nymph, half elf, elf and human). we also have a good mix of multi classes that i never thought id see and oddly enough we have a guy with a war spoon. yes a war spoon a spoon that is the size of a club and he can beat the shit out of someone or dig with it.
now that weird gif is one here to get your attention lets go into what happened in chapter 1 of this campaign. i didn't know what to call the story of this quest so when we started out i titled it WTF dnd. this was because me and some friends joked about what it was gonna be like if we had kinks that people (player characters and NPC’s) could have in the world of dnd because lets face it you throw magic into the mix and everything goes WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU!
this was the base of experiment DND as i secretly called it to some of my other DM friends. now the story has started to take on a plot that i never expected just by watching my players. it got to the point where i had to scrap my first idea and break into two campaigns that i never got to finish playing when i was younger and had written when i was 13 - 18 years old and made a custom adventure. i also threw in some of my older dnd characters as named npc’s to help the characters meet and basically keep my players some what on track while still letting them roam and explore the world. i find that having this done by some dnd groups makes it where the characters have something to lean on when they get stuck but at the same time brings a comic relief and a fun pit stop when you and the players both need a break for a few sessions to break up the tension but more importantly like how we are close to the Xmas season give me a time to give the players a in game Christmas party feel to have fun with. this also opens up something that most DM’s have problems with and that is character communication. it helps you in making sure your players learn to get along with each other now and then and learn more about each other in the game so that the party grows to view the group as a group of friends or even a family that is out to protect others as well as each other.
the story started out with the basic get the bard that is like the JK Rowling of the world to his next book signing and magic mirror broadcast show (my worlds version of tv) but it also turned into them basically getting on a quest to start a full on war against a evil god and at the same time to try and stop a evil lord that is in-slaving elves and half elves people in town. the bard that they had to deal with was reveled to be using a puppet to masquerade as the true bard because he was in a sense marred in his looks because he was half pig demon. this being learned by all the group managed to make it where the bard learned it was not looks that matter but heart that did. it helped him in realizing a life lesson. at the same time they also earned a paladin of a god along the way and helped in saving at lest one persons life. the god of fate and his brother though refused to bring back the girls father as the spirit asked not to go back. the group is now to the point where they are learning more about each other and im surprised at how far my players have come int e first episode they where not supposed to learn about this stuff yet. and yet some how they managed to ask right questions talk to the right people and boom they have made it to where i have had to go back and rewrite things.
But that is ok. its because of my players having fun i have fun and in truth by me having to go back rewrite place chapters in different orders im narrating a story that now it doesn't seem like some mundane world but rather a world that not just me but my friends have made and its so much fun to play in that me and my players cant wait for the next day. i end up counting down the days to game even the hours on the day of until i can boot my computer up and call my friends long on to roll 20 and play a game that i have come to love and enjoy. if i had to say anything right now about this game it would be that i have some of the funniest, confusing, monkey wrench throwing players in the world and i wouldn't change it. mostly because i know that if they where not then yeah this game would be boring.

Gun toting hippies and brain sex
OK before I get into this I do a lot of games. This game is more of a mutant and masterminds home brew anti hero campaign you have been warned So yeah I've been in about 4 mutants and masterminds games. I've played super hero games before with Marvel/DC. But this game has me thinking a lot on how my character would go about keeping her identity secret. I guess some background is needed now so allow me to set the scene.
Zladnoyna, Siberia Russia Iron curtain campaign Modern day The idea of the world is that after the cold war the communist party is still going on and is now finally collapsing. Unknown to the common people pole commissars the secret police have no one to hold them back. The inner walls of the communist state are keeping the members of the communist party safe from the outside world that the common folk live in. A new drug called dark stain is the drug of choice for druggies who struggle day by day to keep their fix of the drug or succumb to their dark sides. Conspiracies are rampant in the city as the propaganda is still being fed through media, schools and newspapers. The only truth the common folk can trust is their word of mouth but even then must be careful of their words because mother Russia is still listening.
With this in your mind you can now see why I was excited. For me as a player and history nut this is a dream. I have always had a interest in Russian politics of the past and even the fashion and architecture of the country. On top of that add in the iron age of comics when antiheroes came out I'm in. In this world you character can freely be an ass to anyone for any reason and have just cause almost. At the same time for me I remember with this campaign the literature from George Orwell (animal farm and 1984) along with the ideas of repo genetic rock opera, underworld, and sincity. It was from that I was able to shape my characters way of thinking but at the same time I also used the idea of tragic backstory to make a chapters come to life. In t party as of now we have a commissar, a science experiment, a mafia member, a poisoner, and druggie teacher. Each character is struggling with their own monsters, some have alliances to one another that go back a ways and as of such the watch over each other like family. Others are looked at as odd or not even human. Some are respected but at the same time feared. They cover each other and at the same time can easily ruin the other's life. A mutual trust is placed between party members. A if you scratch my back I'll scratch yours way.
In the next few posts as I go I'll be cataloging each adventure on wednesdays this is the sum up of the first game of the iron curtain. The game opens with a protest march. It is a normal peaceful march. The streets are crowded with basically no sight of the protest becoming violent. Its right now no more than a shouting match between the two sides. Under a tree two women sit with signs and a bottle of vodka. Along with these two a odd girl comes up and makes mention of looking to poison someone in the conversation that is struck between the three. One makes motion to move from the girl as they are trying to keep from being caught up in something to get them thrown in jail. A ways way from this a half bear half allosaurus anthro is now balling up into a ball to get to where he can see what is going on in the throng. Sadly although holding back his action causes the protest to turn from a shouting match to a all out brawl. This caused the commissars to fire back and to try and cause the crowd to stop and disperse.
In the midst of the fight the two women make a run for it. One flings the other over their shoulder and runs the third fallowing them and run through a portal into a dark nightclub. This club is colored in venta black paint on the walls, the lights are darklights and heavy death metal is playing in the background. The feeling is off in this place their brains trying to process. A sign barely seen in the darkness reads vantablack club. To those that can smell it the drug dark stain is heavy on the establishment and people those that do not use the drug are easily spotted from the fact of the scent of the drug is not in their bodies. All around however are those tained by the addiction. Dancers are fully monochrome as if they had stemmed from a black and white movie or cartoon from the political propaganda films of old. They make their way to the bar while one makes their way to a dealer and makes a transaction oddly it is much cheaper then they get from their dealer and they head back to the others to start drinking. They are joined by the dino bear and comassar all sit and talk a while before the teacher stands like a robot and walks to a wall disappearing. While 2 of the party freak out the rest seem calm. The dino bear pops their head through informing the others she seems to be hypnotically dancing. Once she is snapped out of it she is pulled from the room and they all seem to calm. After a bit one wishes to go home but is unable to find there way not knowing where they are. A deal is struck for a portal to send them out of the bar but at the cost of 200 ruples.
When payed the portal is opened they are out of the bar but further from their destination as two drunk women laugh in the bar. They look around finding the park they and the dino bear are in is covered in hippies and not just any gun toting mk17 rifle hippies all showing they are armed but will not shoot unless shot at. They speak to a passer by and are confused at their words. They ask another who seems to be floating. When really the strawberry blond witch is levitating she is enlightened beyond the means of the person asking questions of her. She is informed she is lost. She is asked where she would like to be and at the snap of the fingers she is home free to mix poisons as she pleases. All the while cursing and cursing the woman that sent her in the wrong direction and at the same time planning to confront her once again. The dinobear likes the park. He stays a while. Then walks home past the protest line allowed to go and come so long as he makes no trouble.
The next day the poisoner looks up the teacher who set her in the wrong way. She is flagged by the government and the commissar is sent to the school to watch over the teacher. The teacher informs the commissar about the woman they saw with their friend that fact she was looking to poison someone. Note is made as a child is brought back from the bomb shelter out of fear of the commissars presence. At home the poisoner sets up camp on the teachers neighbors house waiting for her. The dino bear waves from across the street. When the teacher and the commissar get there the poisoner demands her money back. Stating that she was not sent the right way. When really the teacher didn't know the name of the shop and where it was. She points out all she said was she wanted to be around herbs. So she placed her around herbs in a safe place. The poisoner is forced to succumb to reason. And is also told they are tagged a terrorist. A disembodied brain comes over to visit. He explains his form by drifting through someone's head. He is accused of having brain sex. They drink they talk. They are explained in family relations. The two next door drunks sisters in their close bonds of secrecy. The brain a cousin. The commissar is a friend. The dinobear a freak show to some a brother or dad to the poisoner and the poisoner the family cat. Each taking a step on the ladder of the descent into the hell that will await them after this calm meeting.
In this i have hidden viewers that my character thinks of others in this game. I'll be reporting on the game from both a mix of lera’s point of view and my own but in one of these paragraphs i have hidden a clue on things about my character’s way of thinking. At the same time i am mostly going to try and write it from her point of view now and then in the form of a dairy that i will be placing as i can slowly with each game play we have. Until next time lets just hope that two drunks don't trip down the stairs the dinobear don't knock a wall down the commissar doesn't kill anyone and the poisoner doesn't do themselves in by accident.

A thing i hate about some roleplayers
ok hear me out her. i play dnd, vtm, some made up games freinds and i do on the fly verbaly and even typecast rpg on discord for fun late at night or on weekends. i do this to keep from being reminded of select things in my life. sometimes people use rpg’s and all as a chance to have a moment for them to forget their lives and be specal because they are the only one like themselves or be the only one of that kind left or around because they just need t have that one character that is a specal snowflake to make themselves feel better about themselves.
this being said i have discovered a new rpg pet peeve. recently i have started playing a slime a litteal slime called mort. this slime is most of the time a purple version of this thing only more fluid like most of the time and can talk with a bit of a brittish baratone accent
now mort is about the mass of a black lab and being the only intelegant slime int he world of the rpg he is in i had fun with the idea of him being the only one like himself(i say he because well i need somethign to call mort other then just it since mort is nether male or female.) mort can take any form he wants male or female so long as he has the mass to make it. heck he can turn himself into a person even a cat and at the same time still remain a slime. because of mort being the only talking slime they face alot of hell and worse most slimes tend to eat anythign including other slimes. mort because of this tends to stay close to solid organism beings and not eat living things.
now i bet your wondering well what sparked a issue with this character well what happened was i askd for a partner to play with and a person i normally play with that seems to have a thing with being a drama magnet (aka the kind where if the drama isnt mainly focased on me i wont be able to play with you person who has made it to where i dont even want t touch a character anymore) offers to play with me. thinking they might have listened to sme of my characters sl and all since they are in alot when i play it i agree.
big mistake as soon as i start playing with them i think ok so your having somethign hide in the shadows cool maybe its a sneaky dragon race or a sly human. nope they basicly ripp off my idea of mort and turn it orange.
now dont get me wrong i am cool with alot of thigns some races that are known to a world that a person makes alot of times you ask them hey is it cool i make one of your race can i get some history of the people all that thats great. i mean hell ive asked many players if i could and if i cant i ask if i can tie one of my already made characters to them and we work out a idea and we have fun. BUT THIS WAS DONE WITH NO ASKING OF HOW THE KIND WORKED OR ANYTHING. they didnt understand that mort was a made slime by a wizards misshapp nope they just had a slime at random there and talking. now because of how mort is yeah character ran flat out ran making me look like a asshole to alot of people in the room and i am left to feel like utter shit.
to the people that do thi kind of thing yeah yall are jerks no one should have to feel bad for playing a custom race they made just because oh what if they met someone like them dont you get that in order for that to happen a wizard would have had to have had the same potions at the same time to make that odds of that happening are next to 0. any dm or world builder could tell you that climate and land elevation could also take a play into it aswell as the time of year. so there for to have 2 of the same at the same time from differnt areas is too hard to have happen. at the rate of any others showing up they will have to come from my guy because its basicly both the addem and the eve of its race since im sitting here everynight working out how their biology works.
anyway sorry yall i really just needed to rant that out. thanks for putting up with this explostion of a rant.
