Her shoulders lifted at his question, and her eyes fluttered close. "I thought it was for the best." Was it though? Why does it ache so bad? The yearning had intensified at the sight of him, all vulnerable. But I can try, give me a chance to show you I'm not just fights. Savannah knew Alex was pushing all the right buttons - although deep down she also knew he wasn't manipulating her at all. He doesn't have a drop of intentional malice in his bones - unlike her other exes. It's probably why he held such a special place in her heart. She bit her tongue from replying him, feeling the ache as a lump formed in her throat. Sav had to quell that urge to reach out to him again and crawl back into his arms. Jesus, this was so hard to fight at 3.45am in the morning. Guess I always knew I'd never get to keep you. Her bottom lip trembled. "Fuck-" Savannah uttered softly. Tears were stinging her eyes and she could no longer fight them. "This is what I was afraid of," she confessed as a single teardrop trailed across her cheek. "You saying all these things and all I want to do right now is to crawl back to you." But if she relent for him, history is bound to repeat, no? "I need time to think about us, Alex. I don't think I have enough braincells to do it now."
"Then why did you break up?" He asked, not that he didn't have an answer because she did make her point the day she left him but tonight he didn't know a single thing, or rather, he didn't understand reasons. The smile, although not a classic Savannah-bright smile, gave Alex some hope, he knew he shouldn't keep them up but it was inevitable. "I know I have flaws, believe me, I'd get rid of them if I could so I'd never hurt you. But I can try, give me a chance to show you I'm not just fights." He begged. When Savannah pulled her hand away Alex felt like someone had actually hit him in the chest as a sharp pain spread inside him and it didn't vanish as she claimed he was bringing her down. Last thing he wanted was to deliberately hurt her, he loved her too much for that; and though he knew he had issues, he didn't think it was that bad to make her feel that way. "I... that was never my intention." Alex murmured, looking down at the floor, trying to go through his memories to see what she was describing. "I never meant to hurt you." He said earnestly, meeting her eyes. "Like I said I always had to protect what's mine. And I fucking know you're not something I... possess, but you're the one person I love. And I was always scared shitless to loose you. Guess I always knew I'd never get to keep you." He brushed his hair back with a sad smile.

"You know now I'm starting to wonder if the whole living with two men thing is worth it," Faye teased as she was pulled up off the chair. She laughed as Arthur ran his hand along Alex's side but she didn't step any closer in that moment. "Oh give him a break, we don't get to look all the time. He has to take advantage of it all."
As Alex lifted his shirt playfully Arthur didn't hesitate, running his hand along the exposed abs before he jokingly said "yes. Absolutely." Laughing as soon as the shirt hit him in the face he stepped back with a mock look of offense on his face. "Well if you're going to make us eat healthy just know I am going to leave the biggest hickey on your neck right before family lunch so you get asked a million invasive questions."
“It’s the smell of manhood, baby.” Then he did the kost man-ly thing he could so, lifted his arms and sniffed his armpits. “Could and have been worse. You’ll live.” Alex laughed. “What? You wanna look at this?” He teasingly pulled the hem of his t-shirt to show off his abs with a fake nonchalance. “So you’re willing to out me through hoy oil just to see my abs? You two are very greedy people.” He tsked his tongue before grinning and actually taking his shirt off before throwing it at Arthur. “You’re gonna east healthy for a change.”

naomi didn't have a lot of suitors trying to woo her. in fact, she spent so much time working that most of who tried to approach her was intimidated by how independent she was. hopefully, the same didn't go for alex. she had high hopes for what might happen between the two of them once they got off work. "i'm a big movie buff. i'm always watching something in my free time. outside of that, i'm usually hanging out with friend. we like to try new places when we can. you're welcome to tag along at some point." that is, if he did decide he wanted to see her again.
"You got it." Alex grinned as Naomi gave him the green flag to flirt with her. Waiting for her to get into the vehicle he then walked around to get in himself. "Alright, let's go." With a smile her way, Alex tucked the seat belt and started the car, soon they were on the streets. "So, Naomi, what's there to know about you? We talked a lot about lots of things but I don't know much of the woman behind the mic." He started. "Like hobbies, uh... friends.... or are you single?" Sure they were going out for dinner, she said it was alright to flirt with her but that didn't mean she wasn't seeing someone; it wouldn't change his intentions about trying to woo her enough for a second, or rather real date, but he wanted to know where she stood in that area.

Caitriona laughed, "I really don't know. I mean, I hope but I'll be honest that I also don't know anything about this. I've been too scared to do Googling. I caved to search up the sickness they diagnosed me with, but that was really scary too, so I just stopped."
When they walked into the clinic, she reached out for his hand, lacing her fingers through his as they walked to the front counter to check in and she was given a clipboard with countless papers on them. Soon enough they were being called back and she was being told to lift up her shirt. The nurse immediately smiling. "Your bump's looking bigger. You've been taking good care of Miss Mommy, Dad?" She smiled at the screen, pressing the wand harder against the small mound at Caitriona's stomach. Mo's eyes moved to Alex, waiting for the reality to hit like it did for her. Then, there it was, the rapid washing machine sound of their baby's heart. "Oh, I've got a good angle, do you want to find out who you'll be meeting in a few months?"
"Yeah, could we?" Caitriona reached for his hand again, scared and excited all at once.
"I'm not as freaked out as I am worried." Alex snickered. "For all googled I know it's normal but it still worries me." He had been concerned about her since long before knowing she was pregnant but it was not the time to bring that up, things were looking up for them and he'd tackle that particular concern once they knew she and the baby were both okay. Playful Caitriona was back and Alex relaxed a little on his seat and luckily they would make it to rhe hospital in in and same upbeat mood. He grinned at her very accurate reminder and even though he couldn't see her he could hear the inflection in her voice. "Well, I'm glad you don't listen so I can keep doing it." When she brought the topic of the baby again Alex bit his lip and smiled. "I am excited. I really want to know they're fine so we can rest assure." When she added they might know the baby's sex Alex's eyes widened. "Really? I thought we'd have to wait some more for that. I... I guess I do want to know, i like to be ready. But it's ultimately up to you." He looked at her before once again focusing on the street, more precisely to the hospital entrance, just in time to their appointment.
