Day 5 of Muppettational May Art Challenge by Toughpigs.com: Miss Piggy in the latest fashion!

This was a tough one, just cause I’m iffy on how I draw Harajuku decora key fashion but this one might be a great throwback!! It’s Miss Piggy wearing Nina West’s dress from Nina’s appearance in Blues Clues and you Pride episode!! I haven’t drawn that dress since 2021! It felt good to redraw it again, since I’m getting slightly better at my artwork. So I’m very glad to have done and redrew the dress again..

Also yes it’s mainly cause pride month is next month and I’m too damn excited 😅🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Watching the original Muppet Show and I think it's kinda funny how much Miss Piggy is just not a feminist at all. She's hypercompetitive, will put down any other woman if she thinks they're gonna upstage her, and just all around is a ladder puller.

But she also doesn't take even an iota of shit. Kermit makes a joke about her weight? Frog down. Floyd snarks about a failed scheme? Chopped Pepper. Any guest at all implies that they don't feel threatened by her? She makes sure they are now.

She's, perhaps, one of the only characters that "girl boss" is a truly appropriate name for. She's a diva. She loves her frog. She will kill anyone she desires to over minor shit. But it never feels like she's "tolerated", she's part of the gang. All that shit is just part of her, and yeah she's the butt of the joke for it sometimes. But it's never treated like she's kept around against everyone's will, they like playing this game with her, even if it gets a bit much. They're a troupe!! What would they be without Miss Piggy?
