Twenty-one weeks... since the worst day of my life. I’m reminded daily of the beautiful lives I lost that day... But today I was asked about Mischief in particular. I miss her and her sweet self. I miss how she grinned when she ate her happy food. I miss how she slept so happily on her hide, not on it... I’m sorry, my little love. My little Mischief. The stinker that started it all. I miss her very, very much. She became my angel, along with three others, on March 8 of this year... She got me started. Taught me all that I know. I went from being scared of her to loving her and wanting more. She was happy, loved her food, and often was a turtle with her little bed. She loved her worms, scrambled eggs, chicken, and soft cat food. She rarely used her wheel the last year or so. She shared a birthday with my dad. She would be four years old in November if I still had her... She had the cutest little button nose... I miss my little Mischief so much. And yes, I know I’ve posted this photo of her in the books about five million times. No shame. Two years ago today, I brought home my very first hedgehog. Two years ago, my life changed for the better. Mischief has taught me so much in these two years. . Mischief was a tiny, 303g girl who absolutely despised touch. She disliked being held, touched, bathed, and if you dared make a noise or move around her, she’d hiss. I then annoyed her enough for her to like me, by constantly holding her, watching movies with her, feeding her wormies, etc. She warmed up to me rather quickly for an adult hedgehog, and I quickly fell for my pokey potato. She has allowed me to educate others, has allowed me to share wonderous photos of hedgehogs, and has taught me a love I didn’t know I had. . Happy second gotcha day to my little piggy. Mischief is a hog who does not like being woken up, will go potty on you within 10 minutes of her waking up, loves worms and scrambled eggs, looooovvesss hair, and hates when new people touch her forehead. Get your feet up for #tootsietuesday !!! What’s the weather like where you are right now? It’s currently +18*C right now. Logan, Duke and I took advantage of yesterday’s 14 and he taught me how to board. Or rather, he’s still teaching me. I suck 😂 But I feel like once I know how, I’ll use my longboard on a regular basis. #mischiefhedgie
