Onto my second breakdown - left upright cabinet, second shelf.

From left to right, roughly: Sesshomaru and InuYasha (InuYasha), a few misc. “doggos” (Ein from Cowboy Bebop, Bond from Spy x Family, Chise in wolf pelt from Mahoutsukai no Yome), Koenma, Hiei, Kurama and Youko Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho).

Backdrop is a misty forest, which seemed appropriate for the main characters I featured here.

[hanyo-inu-yasha]

History, with headcanons:

Inuyasha grew up under the care of his beloved mother, Izayoi, within her father's estate. Due to the extreme prejudice of the court, Inuyasha relied on his mother's company and support, but also recognized the heavy burden she herself bore. In light of that, he tried his best to grow quickly and not to add any undo stress on his ailing mother, whose health never quite recovered after the tragic death of her beloved.

Although Izayoi tried her best to live and stay around a long time for her son, she eventually succumbed to illness when Inuyasha was only ten years old. Knowing even then that he would be killed if he stayed, Inuyasha packed only his own belongings, refusing to take even a single thing more, and set off to make his own life...

The following years were fraught with peril, as Inuyasha was forced to fight, and sometimes flee, for his life. These were the most shameful years, in his own eyes, where he could only survive through cowardice, living like a scavenger. As his body grew, so to did his own power, and eventually, he reached the point where he no longer had to flee and hide from larger youkai.

Humans, however, still refused to accept him. Through these unfortunate encounters, he came to believe he could never be accepted as he was, and thus, sought after the sacred jewel in order to become a full youkai. In doing so, he hoped to discard all weakness, of body, mind, and spirit.

When he first saw Kikyo, he did not think much of her, but her mercy made her stand out. Time and time again, he tried to steal the jewel, and yet, he never once intended on killing her. In the same way, Kikyo never harbored any true ill will, and despite Inuyasha's many attempts, she only ever sought to subdue him.

Eventually, the pair are able to sit and talk together, and Inuyasha comes to see Kikyo as not just a real person, but a human woman. It's then that he begins to truly see her, and from that point on, he stays close by her side. When Kikyo suggests he might become human, and that they could be together this way, Inuyasha is quick to agree. This acceptance is what he wanted all along, and he no longer sees a need to become a youkai...

When he arrives at their promised rendezvous, he is met with an arrow and Kikyo's scornful expression. The hurt goes deep, and yet, this is exactly how he should have seen it going. Of course a woman like Kikyo could never truly love him, nor wish to remain by his side. He feels a fool for ever having trusted her, and in his wrath and devastation, turns back to the violence he knows. He steals the jewel, and is subsequently sealed away, with Kikyo's hateful eyes as the last thing he sees.

Misc.

Inuyasha is aged 15/16 at the start of canon, going on 18 by the end of the series. We can always write later in the timeline.

I am writing based off the MANGA, but with plenty of my own headcanons. Naturally, canon divergent.

Expect a lot of foul language.

Mun =/= muse. We may share a few thoughts or traits in common, but I am not Inuyasha and he is not me.

Physical Description;

Height: 5'6"

Eyes: Yellow/Gold/Amber (depending on lighting) with slitted pupils. His eyes reflect light in the dark. In his human form, they are rich brown with round pupils and non-reflective.

Sex & Gender: Inuyasha is intersex. (Link to description TBA.) Identifying Male/masculine.

Body type: Muscular, but lean. As a teenager, he has very little body fat, but as the years grow kinder to him, he gains some healthy weight and gets more beefy.

In the reality where Kagome is sent back to her own time and never returns, Inuyasha must come to terms with her absence and find peace with the people who are still around, and those who come after.

Kanako froze in fear when her eyes fell on the youkai in front of her. The only thing that crosses her mind was her sister, Noburu, who constantly nags and warns the Lioness. Not to hike the mountain, as youkai sightings have become more common nowadays. And they have become wilder and more dangerous. She could help but be furious at herself, as she shut her eyes to embrace the pain and agony that might come. That was until she heard a cry that wasn't her own. Opening her amethyst-colored eyes slightly. Her sight falls towards a stranger, a man who shields her from the hooligans, who have attempted to hurt her. 

Still, slightly overwhelmed by the shock, she rudely asked. "Who are you?"

some good news: the guy who runs goldenroze scans, which I’m a part of, is making a big order on jp amazon, and asked if anyone else needs something from the site so he can help them save money on both the deputy/proxy service fees and shipping. so I asked him to not only add the aj anthology (for those who may not know or have forgotten, last year my book got completely water-damaged when I moved out of the state), but also the 4koma kingdom for trials and tribulations and the anthology for ace attorney investigations. I wanted to add more but I don’t want to ask for a lot and be rude or something

so anyhow, if the guy does the standard shipping from the proxy service/japan, it’ll take a good month to get here. still, it’ll be great to have a nice copy of the aj anthology again and I’ll have fun looking through the other books. I’ll share some of the goofy panels/pages too, but won’t have them scanlated for a long while till we at least get one of the other books finished and uploaded to mangadex

I remember Totoko’s parents also being in the game, any plans for a misc characters that were in the game?

hmm, yeah, i am planning on adding a folder titled "other" or something similar, based on this whole section of the game where you can see the other/miscellaneous side characters.

but it's been a little bit more complicated to add because numbering everything properly in this folder is... difficult, and because i'm still missing multiple units for it. if i counted everything right, i'm missing about 13 more sprites for this folder, those of which including:

3 different hijirisawa units

2 sextuplet units, the ones for the band (j's dollhouse) set and for the man-eating sharks set

the iyamatsu sprite from the synthesis set

the last youkai (tsukumogami) unit

half (5) of the youkai (tsukumogami sakura) set

and the last unit of the friends set, choromatsu and tatsumi burying the sex doll.

but i do have totoko's parents, if you were wondering! and i also plan on combining the matsuno parents folder with this one, since that's where they belong, but only after i'm done with it (or when the game ends).

Do you guys read Natsume fan fictions? I’m new to the fandom and was wondering if you guys have any good recommendations ☺️ and thank you for everything you guys are doing! I’m so happy I can read such high-quality chapters all the time for my favorite manga! 🙏

I only read fanfic for one fandom and that fandom is not Natsume Yuujinchou. But I went around asking different people for recommendations because you asked. I haven’t read any of these fic aside for that one Souko/Reiko fic so I can’t personally vouch for the vast majority of these, but this list is long as hell so there’s bound to at least one fic you’ll enjoy.

Also for the sake of just airing some thoughts in my head and maybe fishing for interest, below this cut are some plots I’ve had over the years that I’ve wanted to do, separated by genre:

Fluff:

Bonding with saltwolf over the idea of cooking. Cooking together, cooking for someone else, shopping for ingredients, learning what she does as substitutions, restaurant stuff, etc.

Working with her to figure out her tastes in clothing and how that’s been hindered by her own body image issues/being muscular to a point that it seems like nothing works. Learning how to rock that without falling into the same default she’s had for years.

Traveling. Yoshika’s motorcycle isn’t just for work and she’d likely be willing to take a long ride with someone out of the city for the sake of clearing her head or helping someone get where they’re looking to go.

Vacationing/leaving japan for a while/exploring type stuff.

Letting her use her sat-upon hunting wealth to help someone out of a jam/get their life together, or just spoil someone who genuinely needs it

Action: 

Hunting threads. Obviously.

Coming to understand the nature of demons and one another through combat.

Understanding how Yoshika trains and hones her ability to command the void.

Making use of every tool she has at her disposal against powerful foes.

Finding a rival/nemesis/someone who really burns her ass in the long run.

Transformations(no not that kind).

That one panel of Guts riding Zodd through the thunderhead.

Experiencing the kind of training Yoshika went through in order to wield a spear as well as she does, and probably how Jensen trained her in swordplay/the more brutal styles of fighting she employs.

Worldbuilding:

Excuses to bring out certain NPCs and interconnected muses from her world(Momobami/other Voidspawn).

Discussions of her time fleshing out her understanding of the void and what to do about it, how there’s nothing to combat for those who arent actively sought and how her knowledge is still incomplete.

Hunting guilds, and how they represent a sort of modern day warrior culture.

Bonding through the cultural importance of communal bathing, and possibly the introduction of a character I’ve had in the wings for years at this point(FC link).

Humans/Demons/Youkai/Spirits/Souls and how they all fit together in the grand scheme.

Horror/Angst:

Transformation stuff gone awry(Once again, not that kind).

Those with high spiritual affinity coming into contact with the void through her.

Visiting Yoshika’s own soulscape as well

Getting to experience [    ] (i.e the void’s avatar) at the bottom of the abyssal plain from which all souls are sent to their prime afterlife.

Eating souls(yes that is what you think it is).

Conflict surrounding the feeling of saltwolf not being good enough/good for people or herself and how she tends to close herself off through certain reservedness/banter/self deprication.

The overwhelming damage done to her overtime and how it’s easy to see on her body.

Dysmorphia...like, seriously.

Questions of if she actually enjoys her life and if not why can’t she change it.

Misc./Heavy Dumb:

Romantic plots involving Yoshika’s probable lack of understanding of what she’s about.

Friendly/Comrade plots where she can actually connect with people for more than just fighting

I apologise for not posting anything in forever but whenever I can get some time to work on my typesetting projects (which I’m really far behind on OTL), I end up spending most of that time cleaning and typesetting the youkai watch manga based on the 4th movie

anyway, I figured I could show some of the work I’ve done (one panel anyway) cause I like how much better my cleaning’s gotten
