Two of Wands, Queen of Pentacles, & The Hermit

We begin with the Two of Wands. This card represents choice. In the anime, Professor Ursula takes on young Akko as her own personal project since Akko is so terrible at magic. The thing is Ursula has a secret and that is that she was once the famous witch magician Shiny Chariot. Ursula has a choice in this moment. She could tell Akko the truth about her identity, and the reason why she quit being an entertainer, or she could keep up her professor persona and help Akko that way instead. You are also at a similar crossroads. One path leads this way or that and you don't know what to do. It's hard to choose but I feel like you might already know the answer? Like deep down there's that tiny voice that's giving you some guidance. Follow that voice. Don't worry about making a mistake because the true mistake would be to do nothing at all.

Next we have the Queen of Pentacles. Oh look Akko and Ursula again. The Queen of Pentacles is a person who is caring, nurturing, and down-to-earth. They help those around them and take care of the people they love and help keep things rooted. Now, normally, the royal court cards never mean people to me but more so a personality to adopt....but something about this card makes me feel like it's a person? The way Akko looks almost surprised that Ursula is holding her and Ursula's kind expression makes me feel like that this could be a person that can help you.

Finally The Hermit. Of course with everything that's been going on in your life recently it might be a good time to take a step back away from the drama and do some introspection. This doesn't have to be a long journey but there needs to be some time for you to really unpack things. This could be things like what you want to do next or something like how you feel about certain people in your life but whatever the case may be you need a little time to reflect and understand.

Hey! So, um...I'm kind of playing with the idea of doing cartomancy readings for commissions. (Requests are closed until I catch up!)

For those of you who do not know, cartomancy is divination through playing cards. It's also something I quite enjoy doing. I've done readings for others here before and I've gotten mostly positive feedback. However, I have not done it in a while and could use some practice.

I'm also thinking about trying my hand at stichomancy which is divination through random book passages.

So, because I need the practice, I'm willing to do maybe 3-4 free readings for people who would like to be guinea pigs for me. Now, before I go on about how you can make a request, let me tell you a little bit about the cards I have. My decks are all pop culture themed, here is a list of the ones that I've had the best time doing readings for other people with:

Labyrinth--This is my favorite movies and this is probably one of the reasons I connect so well with this deck. I know this movie like the back of my hand and can pick up meanings not only from the cards themselves but scenes pictured on the cards (each card has a screenshot of a scene). This deck has been particularly good with offering guidance for finances, but it's pretty good with other subjects too.

Beetlejuice--This deck is much like the Labyrinth deck with screenshots of scenes from the movies. So far, this deck has offered people some insights in the subject of romance and friendship. Again, the more familiar you are with the movie, the better.

IT: Chapter 2--This deck has more of a cartoonish feel to it. It does not feature direct screenshots from the movies. Instead, it offers symbols of things that happen (such as Eddie's inhaler). The design is more of a standard playing card deck, so there's no reverse drawings. The downside of this is there is less grey areas to analyze. However, if you're looking for more straightforward answers, this might be the deck for you. To be quite honest, I don't have much experience using this for readings because I prefer decks that allow for the possibility of drawing a reverse.

I do have a DC Bombshells deck, but that one works better for self-readings, so for at least the time being, I will not be using that one for requests.

Can I just start with the fact that literally you just give off such good and lovely vibes?? Like holy moly I already am grinning ear to ear and I could just feel this cool touch to my cards when shuffling and maybe the song helps, but literally you put off such lovely energy. I think that definitely reflects this reading for sure because the Knight of Cups is such a nice card to get! Let's go ahead and see what your Higher Self wants to let you know.

I'll go ahead and break down the Cups suit first before really digging at the meaning of the card itself because I feel like not only is this a building block to help you get a better understanding of what is being said, but it could help in future readings you may get too.

The Cups suit as a whole is of the element of Water. This suit deals a lot with emotions, love, relationships (remember, it does not always have to romantic), and connections. Symbolic of fluidity, intuition, healing, cleansing and feelings/emotions, the water-based Cups holds a lot of power whether you have a serene stream or a raging tide. It ultimately is up to you how you let the waves go.

The Knight of Cups though? This is a card that talks of romance, charm, imagination, beauty, and creativity. This is the knight in shining armor type aka the classic romantic image. While this is a nice card to see in romantic situations, I feel that we should examine the other aspects of the Knight of Cups where we view the creative and passionate side that loves all things beauty. If perhaps you are involved with a creative outlet or project you feel called to do, I would say this is a message to take action and get into what your passions are.

You thrive on beautiful and inspiring things, why hold yourself back from that? Your imagination and passion cannot thrive unless action is taken. As the meme goes: "Don't let your dreams be dreams!" What Does the Universe Want You to Know? (Three of Swords) -

First of all, I am very sorry that this is the kind of card you got because the connotations around this are usually not that great. This is a card people typically do not like to see (especially in love readings of all things). However, I think we are more than allowed to break tradition here and not only inspect the deeper meanings of this card but I truly think that perhaps the song that came for you has more depth than what I maybe have originally given it credit for.

Before we go too crazy with the meaning of the Three of Swords itself, let's go ahead and examine what the Swords suit means first. The Swords suit is of the element of Air which speaks of a balance between intellect and power. This is an element that can breeze by like a gentle gale or rip us apart like a wild tornado. The Swords suit is one that mainly focuses on action (whether constructive or destructive), change, force, conflict, courage, oppression and ambition.

The Swords mirror the quality of the mind present in your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. Remember that just because something may be constructive or destructive does not automatically mean it is good/bad. With this in mind, let's dig at the Three of Swords and what the Universe has to say.

The Three of Swords is a card that talks of heartbreak, grief, sorrow, emotional pain and hurt. There really must be a ton of hurt going on and like the person in the image of this card, these wounds run deep. You have suffered a lot recently and I wished I could give you a hug through the screen because the Universe I think really recognizes that pain.

You are allowed to feel things and it is just a necessary part of life to feel that pain, sorrow and grief. Of course, one should not linger there forever, but you are allowed to be human.

Allow yourself to feel and get out what you have been bottling up. Whatever has been said, know that you don't need to accept those words as truth whether it is you telling yourself something mean or someone else saying them. Projections are not physical. They are just another shadow in the dark whether it is the darkness of someone's own insecurities or even our own. It's safe for you to grieve here and please feel free to do so for as long as you need, but do not forget that you also must move on and begin walking again.

Keep in mind what hurt you and why. Is there more truth in what has been said that you do not want to face? Use this pain you feel to expand your perspectives and see the bigger picture. I believe in you. I am proud of you.

Samhain Tarot Reading Update

Thank you all so much for your patience! I really am grateful you all have been so kind and have been waiting on here and also off of Tumblr where I also was offering readings. Tonight since I had some time, I got a few more in, but I also am going to be a touch more critical on the questions I answer because in truth, I do feel some asks were a bit unfair and asking for things that truly do require more depth, energy, and time for something that is free.

This is a good lesson I think for myself on how much I take on and how I do things like this in the future for sure. I know before I offered people to send in a new ask if they got their question in before the end of the event, but for my own wellbeing I am going to no longer offer that. With recent personal events surfacing and causing me some massive grief (like my brother dying and my abusers suing me for furniture they gave me over two years ago so now I have to basically lose all of my furniture I have), I do not exactly have the energy to do more in-depth work and especially for free. I feel like this aspect is what we should focus on as I feel you are trying to seek out support and stability (which there is nothing wrong with that).

The Page of Pentacles calls upon us to welcome a new beginning or inspiration that make lead to a creative venture. This is not a sign that a new friend may show, but it is however a signal that you are on the right path towards that goal should you possibly be manifesting new and healthy friendships to come your way.

Well, I guess literally we left the best for last because this is certainly an interesting card and song to get for something about one's life purpose. The Justice card is about truth, cause and effect, law, fairness, and of course justice. Personally, I think "Lullaby of the Moon" really may hold a deeper meaning here. This is a song about finding the truth and seeking justice for what the singer feels is right. Especially with the moon shining behind the person in this card holding the scales, I really feel this was all to come into play.

I cannot help but get this feeling you hold a lot of sorrow and anger involving injustices going on in the world and are not content with what has been fed to you your whole life. 2023 Internship View (The Hierophant) -

What an interesting card to take a look at for your Internship and how this will look in 2023! This is a card that speaks on spiritual wisdom, religious beliefs, conformity, tradition, and institutions.

While one could easily see this as a nod towards maybe a religious institution, I see this and think you are going to be under someone's wing and I recommend you take as many notes as possible. Learn the fundamental principles of what you will be doing from a trusted source. They may help you open doors that you might not have been able to open before whether this is a teacher, mentor or guide. Understand the traditions and core principles of the trade. Where is my life headed at this point? (King of Cups) -

I'm really happy to see this card as the card for where your life is headed at this point because this is such a nice card to get for a look head. To break this card down as well as the Three of Swords, I will be explaining the Suits of the cards and then the actual meanings after and tie it all in. For the Cups suit, we are involving the element of Water which deals with emotions, relationships, healing, cleansing, connections and love. This is a fluid suit where it has us think with our heart versus our head.

The King of Cups goes more into this of thinking with our heart versus mind as it talks about being emotionally balanced, compassion, and diplomacy. This is a balance between the heart and mind here and asks us to remain compassionate, diplomatic, patient, and understanding with others as well as ourselves. Whatever you are dealing with whether it is wanting to go into a certain career or perhaps more personal things, you will soon find some kind of harmony with yourself and what is around you about it.

You may be facing or may face some negativity from yourself and/or outside sources, but try your best to be emotionally mature about it. You got this! This is a really nice card in my opinion because to me, it feels like you are heading toward the right direction toward what you may want for yourself. Should I Stay or Should I Go by The Clash

Makes me think that maybe this has a lot to do with your situation and stuck in a decision on hoe to feel or where to go. Normally I would say that it is up to you at the end of the day to decide whether a song resonates or not, but I do feel that when we examine the song from a different angle than the intended for the original context, I really just cannot get out of my head these parts here:

Ya know, I sit here more and more and before even looking at Pentacles as suit or even the actual Six of Pentacles, I got this suspicion that because I noted the Numerological meaning of the four in the Four of Swords, I should do the same for the Six of Pentacles, and sure enough I examined closely and something tells me you really want to do this. Like this right here is what you really love which I absolutely cannot fault you for. The arts are a fantastic thing to have in life. This definitely is where your heart is and I think that the Six of Pentacles shows this as it is a card of generosity, sharing wealth, receiving and giving. It probably feels like the best holiday ever or perhaps a birthday gift all of the time with this.

The Pentacles suit is of the Earth element which really speaks on support, stability, and grounding. It also traditionally talks of health, finances, work, and creativity which makes sense given that singing/art are both creative fields.

This creative side of a career feels like you definitely are going to be sharing the wealth and abundance you have with others which is really nice! This'll probably feel like the world is your oyster at this point! What I advise you remember though is wealth does not only come in monetary form. Wealth can come from all sorts of avenues like charity, kindness, etc.

Giving up your time, energy, and love to those in need are other forms of wealth that I think you would end up giving here.
