Out For A Stroll
Takes place not long after Kaeya and Golden start dating. Good ol’ teasing.
Content warning: none, word count: 478
"Oh, is that you Kaeya?" The elderly woman and her friend waved Kaeya over. With a glance at Golden that Golden failed to completely read, Kaeya turned course to wander over to them, bowing ever so slightly.
"It is. Good to see you, Edith, Miriam." He smiled pleasantly, looking down at them as they sipped their tea at an outside table. "The both of you are looking radiant as always."
Golden trailed behind, still puzzling over his expression. Smug? But...not smug as in he was going to tease Golden. Smug as in...watch this? Maybe? They didn't fully understand what was going on here, to say the least. He seemed like he was just being friendly.
The elderly women tittered at his remark. "Oh, thank you, young man. Hearing that from someone like you really makes the heart soar." Edith replied.
"I'll say!" Miriam chimed in. Golden felt a hint of displeasure creeping in as she noticed that neither woman was looking at Kaeya's face. "You're as handsome as always. Working hard to keep Mondstadt safe I'm sure."
"You're both too kind." Kaeya replied. "It's my honor to be in the good graces of such beautiful women." Golden pushed their lips into a flat line. Ugh. What a wretched line.
"Who's that with you? We certainly didn't mean to interrupt." Edith continued after a giggle, peering around Kaeya at Golden. Golden stiffened, wandering a bit closer while waving.
"Oh! Edith! That's the Honorary Knight, aren't they?" Miriam exclaimed.
"That's right." Kaeya confirmed, before Golden could speak. "This is Golden, Honorary Knight of the Knights of Favonius. But more importantly," as Kaeya flashed them a smirk, Golden suddenly felt like they were in danger. That fear was confirmed a moment later as Kaeya's arm draped over their shoulders, pulling them to him. "Golden is my romantic partner."
"K-Kaeya!" Golden exclaimed, surprised by his words. Their face darkened.
"Oh! Oh my goodness!"
"Romantic partner!" The two women tittered with glee at this.
"I hadn't heard that! Congratulations to the two of you!"
"Yes, you're quite lucky to get a man like that, don't let a scoundrel like him slip away!"
"Scoundrel is the right word," Golden grumbled, putting their hands over their face.
"Aw, you've embarrassed them."
"How cute."
Golden turned to press their face against Kaeya's side to hide better. They regretted this almost immediately, as Edith and Miriam let out coos and squeals of delight at the sight.
"Well, we better get off to our knightly duties." Kaeya said with a quiet chuckle. "It was lovely seeing you two ladies."
"Always a delight to see you, Kaeya."
"And a pleasure to meet Golden as well!"
"A pleasure..." Golden mumbled. As Kaeya removed his arm from their shoulders, they grabbed onto his arm, one hand still over their mouth as they stared off to the side shyly.
"Bye~"

“I don’t know how many times I can say “fuck off” to a person before he finally gets the message. Should I say it in French?” Neve asked, sliding over to Miriam, looking for a place to retreat to during the crowded Calloway party. What she had assumed was an innocent conversation with a classmate had just ended with him trying to kiss her without warning. She had turned at the last second, the boy instead catching her ear, letting out a squealing, high-pitched laugh “You see that guy over there? Red hair? He tried to kiss me. I mean, we were talking about Pride and Prejudice. I don’t know what about that seemed erotic to him. Maybe he has a thing for Keira Knightly,” the girl huffed out. She turned around to awkwardly face the wall, sipping form a red cup full of water. “Is he coming this way?” She questioned, moving her hair in front of her face like a curtain. @miriamkaufmann

:0 what's worlds divided?
You have unleashed a deluge, lmao. Worlds Divided is a campaign of D&D 5e I run for my friends @lemonadeys @existentialcrisiscentral and @stale-loaf-of-rye-bread online.
I can’t give too many spoilers, since they’ll see them because they follow me, but the basic plot revolves around three heroes;
Levi Starlance, a half-sea elf rogue who worked for many years as a pirate
Merori’al “Tuskbreaker”, a half-orc ranger with a haunted past
and Jamie Shortestahhke, a halfling fighter hailing from a farming village.
They go to Mallow City, a coastal town on the rise, and are suddenly caught up in a whirlwind struggle between the Mallow City Watch, headed by Miriam Knightly, and the Eight Winds, a group of thieves and researchers seeking to understand a great magical presence in the city.
Notable features include:
-Varied character designs and complex motivations
-Several buff women who I adore wholeheartedly
-The inherent homoeroticism of Eros and Psyche parallels
-ACAB
-Religion is a complicated subject that can mean different things for different people
-How do you make yourself fit into a culture you don’t feel a part of despite it being your birthright?
-How do you practice a religion in a different way then you were raised to?
-How do you reconnect with religion that you barely remember?
-How do people use their beliefs to justify their actions, good and bad?
-How does a corrupt system inherently corrupt the good people working in it?
-A bag full of teeth

Walter’s Wardrobe: Matilda
“I love England in a heat wave. It's a different country. All the rules change" - there couldn’t be a better quote by author, Ian McEwan, to describe July’s Walter’s Wardrobe. Thirty two degree heat, equating to the hottest weekend of the year, replicated not only the story of Briony Tallis and her detrimental false testimony in ‘Atonement’, but also the unusually warm summer of 2008, when the film was created at Stokesay Court.
For all those who follow events in Walter’s Wardrobe, they’ll concur that I hunt high and low for suitable locations, often driving hundreds of miles just for disappointment, with a promise that ‘it’s ok’ will never do. I keep my ears to the ground and am never not looking - online, on television, in earshot - whatever it takes. Locations can be found on the most surprising paths. So when the ten year anniversary of the movie Atonement came about, I took my chance to visit the usually closed doors of Stokesay Court, stepping into the world of a narrative I have loved since uni.
On a mid-August day, you’d be forgiven for expecting warmth and sunshine, but at barely 15 degrees and torrential rain in the depths of Staffordshire, the open day was anything but. My location scouting journey was one of many and the difficult conditions left me squinting throughout the three hour drive, hoping and praying it would be worth it.
Yet once I arrived, it became clear this was it. I’m not a fan of dark wood panelling, heavy floral interiors and too much of a ‘homely’ feel for photography...but on this day, I took all of it back, as I allowed the energy of Hollywood to seep around me.
Stepping through the doors of each room gave shiver after tingle of recognition for each plot part. The upstairs corridor...and that angular turn as Briony carries ‘The Trials of Arabella’ to her mother, the nursery...and that ghastly man telling Lola she has to “bite it”... and that infamous library, post-unmentionable letter.
Scripts, cast notes, costume directive, artificial flowers and polystyrene rocks from the film, discarded (or rescued) as though they’d left only a moment ago:
And that was that. I was sold and barely home five minutes before my first email was being sent to enquire about a possible photoshoot, only to discover the private house had never been photographed or filmed outside the movie.
*Beam from the heavens hits the house as angels hit their highest note* aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Wardrobe exclusiiiiiiiiive!
Fast forward a year and unbeknown to us, in the sweltering July heat, we’d brought together a videographer who was currently working with the lead role (Keira Knightly) on her latest film, the niece of the films Head of Casting, and a makeup artist whose husband had befriended with the Director, Joe Wright. Coincidences...eh, they just seem to follow me.
A 1920s/1930s inspired cinematic experience quickly became Matilda; named as such in homage to the stained glass window bearing St Matilda - the Patron Saint of the Falsely Accused.

7, 15, and 37 for the d&d questions
7: How do you go about making a character/NPC?
Honestly, good question. For characters, I normally check to see what we need in the party and then brainstorm a compelling character choice for the class necessary. Sometimes I roll dice to pick race, background, etc if I’m stuck. For NPCs, if there’s a need for one I’ll probably make them up on the spot and flesh them out as I go, as I did with most of the NPCs in Worlds Divided. Sometimes I’ll have NPCs designed to represent an idealogical standpoint or who are part of an organization, so I take more care with them on a thematic level. I hardly ever make sheets/stats for NPCs, I usually just have a description, a personality, and a few bullets of backstory.
15: Do you prefer to DM or play?
That’s tough, honestly. DMing is definitely harder, but there’s a special sort of thrill that comes from revealing a twist to your players(anglerfish, anyone?) or expositing a scene. Playing can be fun too, especially when you have a character with secrets and complexity. Usually I’ll prefer to play, but luckily for me I’m in a situation where I can do both.
37: What is the most recent PC or NPC you’ve created?
The most recent character I’ve created a sheet for is Miriam Knightly, but she existed as an NPC far before my sheeting her. The most recent character I’ve invented is probably Gregale, but she and Marin and Levante and Ponente were all created at the same time. The most recent PC I’ve created is an aasimar barbarian named Vashai.
