I feel like if Miranda ever actually got Eva back this woman would be so overprotective and over react whenever Eva was sick. Like she'd always watch over her, ensuring she's safe and nothing is going to put her in danger. Plus if this child as much as sneezes, not even from cold, she'd immediately took actions and give her vitamins and some medicine to make sure she won't be sick because she'd be scared to lose her again.
And till Eva was like a teenager Miranda's overprotectiveness would get a pass but the moment Eva becomes a rebelling teen I think she'd easily get annoyed with how Miranda acts.
Also Miranda would probably want to ensure that Eva’s friends are safe to hang out, not to mention dating Eva would be a nightmare because I bet Miranda would rarely find her crushes worthy or she'd put high expectations. Like they better treat her precious girl right and not hurt her or she'll have their head.
I think that the moment Eva is starting to grow up their relationship could be really strained :(
Like, Miranda only wants what's best for Eva and I'm sure she'd only try and be a good mom for her but I'm afraid it'd go too far. This woman needs psychological help or her trauma would damage her relationship with Eva, I fear.

(( Honestly, Miranda's schooltime castle isn't a great place to trick-or-treat at... It's far, far away from everything else, at least an hour's drive from the dearest city and not in a proper neighborhood or anything, just in a pine forest, on a cliff, next to the sea. If you go up that lonely road, then you have to deal with the gates and the guards, which are ordinarily closed and will not let anyone past without permission from Miranda and/or Bellanda. And, even if you get there, it's a long walk through the castle grounds up to the front door, and an equally as long walk back.
But, hey! If your muse manages to do all of that (or wants to in the first place, which is a different criteria), then sure. You can trick or treat at Miranda's place.

What is the Coral Festival?
Tumblr media
(( In short — some species of merfolk experience a spike in gregariousness, sociability, fertility/virility, and attraction around the high tide and full moon of either late October or early November. This typically happens with the more spread out species, guaranteeing that they begin to gather together into a single place in larger numbers, and thus helping to improve genetic diversity.
In short, it's basically a heat or estrous cycle. That's all you really need to know.
There's more, too, since these aren't mammals we're talking about, and merfolk experience it differently than you might be typically used to, but that's the gist of it.
Since this is merfolk, and they're a sapient species with their own history and culture, and they all experience this at the same time, they usually make an event of it. Hence, Coral Festival, since merfolk especially connect it to the time when the coral spawns as well. The full name is Habp'll pl'qe ane'jhe Oikahj, which is what Miranda tends to call it, though I default to Coral Festival and Coral Season ( and sometimes Coral Madness, when Miranda especially feels frustrated and wants to complain about her own body, though this is much less "official" ). Miranda actually has a pretty good time of it, having a larger party at her castle for the entire duration, inviting the local High Royals and some of their friends, since she has good reason not to want her fellow Low Royals to be involved. There's food, good company, music, beds, and just about everything you could need for a nocturnal orgy every night for a week.
Every so often I've had her bring along other muses as guests, either being invited or wanting to come themselves, though Miranda tends not to just bring it up on a whim to her friends. Least of all because she's usually pretty distracted, mentally, although she's more "be friendly and sociable and just really want to bond with her friends and be friends with everyone" than how your typical "heat" might be written. There's also the factor of how the entire celebration is in the underwater portions of her castle, and typically solely remains there, which means her land friends need to figure out some way to breathe water to join. However, it also presents some unique lore, and represents one of the few chances other muses have to talk to just normal merfolk, who aren't a part of the royal courts and at most have control of a town or two.

I'm really over all this weird hate Lin Manuel Miranda has started getting. Like, he's not perfect, some of his work is very phoned in just for a paycheck or part of a contract, and yeah he should be criticized for the times he's fumbled or worse about racism, but a lot of the criticism this website is throwing at him is just off the mark. Like, you absolutely cannot deny the impact he's had on theater, Pop Culture, recent music, etc.; Of course, people do try and minimize or flat out deny any impact he's had, and they flat out have to lie or misrepresent reality to do it. Hamilton, while obviously worthy of its criticism, definitively made an impact with race blind casting and emphasizing diversity; It's not fully his fault Disney remakes saw people liked race-blind casting once and decided all their remakes have it now regardless of the legitimate criticisms he got from it. Speaking of remakes, a lot of Tumblr people hating on him hard-core right now are specifically hating on him in relation to the Little Mermaid remake, and... I hate to defend it, but Tumblr should really understand by now that not everyone is hating on an admittedly bad remake for the same reason, and in this case a lot of them are hating on it for very obviously racist reasons, and yet because they share a hate for LMM, people just reblog without looking, and now tons of Leftist or Progressive Tumblrs are regularly reblogging Lite to big time racist/fascist Tumblrs. Like, come on, isn't this website the one where everyone was all smug about not falling for "obvious" Right Wing Pipelines? Look, they guy is earnest and imperfect, and I've never really cared about him before now, simply because I recognized the flagrantly stupid "He WaS nEvEr GoOd" takes and recognized the pipeline that was coming because of Little Mermaid. He's just a guy who made it big and kinda gets used a lot, and who works a lot because he likes music and really doesn't want to do anything that could mess up his dream projects; So he takes on some subpar projects for cash or because he's contractually obligated to, so many actors and artists do that, at least he still tries to make it fun. And, in regards to a lot of common criticism, he seems to genuinely be learning and actually trying to better himself and better showcase diversity and darker skinned characters in his work, he's trying which is a whole lot more than honestly most; He seemed to genuinely think the policies he supported for Puerto Rico would help but now he shows regret for supporting things that hurt it. Honestly, he's handling going from "hero of diverse storytelling and music who tries to help more diverse creativies" to "literally as bad as a fascist while also justifying people being racist towards him and calling it progressive" better than most would.

first time around i didn’t even really clock how severely miranda blew up flint’s spot with the letterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr MIRANDA! aaaah “this utopian desire hinges on the question of what it means to love someone you do not always agree with. What does it mean to love unconditionally? What toll does it take, and who picks up the pieces?”

You are SO not invited to my Oscar party
Hollywood is like high school with money. It’s a funny old expression that at this point seems a little too easy, if not reductive.  Sure, there are a lot of mean girls and guys in the entertainment industry that like to punch their power and wealth right between the eyes of all those they deem below them.  That is to say, the rest of us.  And these types don’t necessarily all live in…

'Invitation to a Murder' Editor Kristi Shimek on Crafting a Successful Murder Mystery Film
For film editor Kristi Shimek, assembling a movie is a bit like working with a giant puzzle: you have to place all of the pieces perfectly. Each shot needs to help achieve the goal of the story, all of the sequences must flow seamlessly, and no detail can afford to be overlooked. Continue reading Untitled

Every early summer the lady organizes a tea party where she invites Miranda and Donna to share the latest news, discuss rumors and, of course, drink tea. But sometimes Madame may even go on to talk about politics.
Usually the ladies socialize in the gazebo near the Dimitrescu family wine garden.
(I initially wanted to make her whip more green or more specifically swamp green, but then quickly changed my mind. In general, there is an opinion that women distinguish more shades of red than men, I wanted to make a reference to this or just link her outfit and chme nimbyh something
Miranda I didn't want to change because she doesn't need a new dress for every event or dinner party like Alsina, she doesn't care about such little things.
And neither does Donna. She doesn't want to be live at all, but she shows up because she can't reach out to Angie.)

(( Fundamentally, I don't think Miranda has jealousy issues. She's from a culture where exclusivity is the exception rather than the rule, and in more serious relationships, she's far less concerned about it than other people might be. She does know that landfolk are a lot more specific about rules in relationships and exclusivity, so she's not likely to cross any of those boundaries herself, but she's not specifically bothered by worrying if someone likes someone else too.
She does tend to act more possessive when she's dating without real feelings behind it, but that's because she's already treating them as arm candy and using them as an object, so that wouldn't really be the same as jealousy. It's the same reason she gets into them so quick and for fun, why she has basically no goal or hopes or ambitions in them, and why she has no problem dumping them at first notice. This is a relationship of objectivity, and to her, she makes this very clear.
However, when it comes to more serious relationships, what Miranda is is still very traumatized, very abused, and under deep culture shock. And part of that is the fact that social bonds and relationships for merfolk work very differently than how the romantic and platonic relationships she's getting into work, on top of things like not knowing how to have even basic friendships in the first place or constantly feeling like she has to defend having serious relationships due to how her title works. Landfolk often unintentionally cross a lot of boundaries that merfolk would have, or don't understand it and cause distress to Miranda, or just don't react in ways that would be second nature to merfolk. Miranda's used to constantly having people around, merfolk are built for constant contact with those they have extremely close relationships to, and culturally she doesn't distinguish much between individual people that are part of the same group.
All of which results in Miranda feeling a lot more protective and defensive towards her serious relationships when she has them, and a lot more aggressive when it feels like other people aren't respecting them. She can come off as clingy, needy, or insecure, always wanting to be around them and not wanting to be apart, trying her best to always go everywhere she can with them and actively making them as much of a part of her life as possible. But, again, this is moreso out of a fact this would be far more normal for a merfolk, and this degree of neediness is seen as a much smaller problem, more like if someone wants to stay home and has a harder time getting out, especially as it mostly happens when Miranda's already in a bad state.
That, and the fact that, to her, this also manifests as a lack of acknowledgement in a social context, less like trying to isolate or control someone and a lot more like if everyone in your life refused to acknowledge that you were married and got angry at you if you ever mentioned it. She can also be extremely aggressive and even violent to anyone who threatens or is hostile to those who she's in these serious relationships with, but again, this has to do with the merfolk violence taboo. It's far more serious to merfolk, and so Miranda is responding appropriately to a far higher degree of threat than what landfolk tend to see.
