IAF Jaguar section on air patrol ops somewhere in northern sector. Fact check: The jaguars can be seen here in formation banked to port side going in for a routine air patrol. The high altitude flying has its own unique nuisance and issues. Such as the cooll air factor which reduces drag and increases air speed means the a/c needs more time to stop and is quicker in terms of getting airborne and in air(also requires more time to recovery ). Such as the cold start issues in the morning which requires more amount of fuel burning to start and oil temperature issues coz the mountain terrain faces a very low temperature at night due to which the metal bodies such as of the a/c and other machinery also gets jammed or doesn't lit up quickly hence special maintenance is done for it. Also the maintenance crew face many challenges during winters during maintenance as they have to wear gloves and repair any damages or parts of the engine as the metal is way too cold to be touched but sometimes they have to touch it for the sake of repairing which can peel off skin but a risk needs to be taken sometimes. An IAF @lca.tejas getting ready for entering RW and getting airborne here. Fact check: IAF has got Tejas as it's lead interceptor in flying bullets sqn which means that it is a highly nimble and light weight a/c which is going to replace the agening fleets of Bisons as you can the FOC version for tejas is getting ready on RW to get airborne The A2A fuel probe can be seen in the front near the nose here towards the starboard side. The emergency exit red emergency mark with a triangle is visible below the canopy. It's designed to be nimble means the controls of the a/c are such that it's very quick in response and has a small flick of the movement of the stick can generate a huge response of the a/c due to its compound delta wing design. The a/c can be seen taxing around with taxi lights on ,and belly drop tank onborad . The pilot is wearing a Topsight helmet mounted system .
