Here’s some of the process! Probably the longest I’ve ever spent on a background 😔

I thought this was funny idk his butt just looked so out of proportion while coloring 😭

Here’s one concept art I came up with that also had a lot of Easter eggs, including the umbrella from s1, the picture from @buggachat’s Bakery Enemies AU, etc, but ultimately decided against it because it was a lot and also I was having a lot of trouble with perspective

Miraculous Ladybug Secret Exchange 2022

Happy Holidays @p-artsypants! I'm your secret Santa for @mlsecretsanta this year and I super apologize for the late gift. I hope you enjoy! <3

“Come on Alya. You know I have to study for my exam next week. You promised to help me.” Marinette pleaded from her desk, watching her best friend getting ready for a date. 

“I’m sorry Marinette, but Nino promised me he would take me to see this movie tonight. You still have a week. I’ll help you out tomorrow.” Alya started twisting her hair up, looking in the mirror before sighing and letting it fall down to her shoulders. “If you want help studying, I’m not the only one taking this class with you.” She turns her head, wiggling her eyebrows at Marinette.

Marinette leans back in her desk chair, huffing. “I don’t want to bother him. He’s probably really busy-”

At that moment, her phone started ringing. Looking down at her phone, the picture that her and Adrien took during a friend picnic. Adrien had insisted on getting a photo with her. “I want to get a picture with all my friends” he had said before he pulled her into a hug and the camera flashed. Despite her look of surprise, Adrien was smiling wide and looked happy. It was her favorite picture of him.

“Well, speak of the devil.” Alya peered down at her phone and gave her a smirk. “Are you going to answer it or am I?”

“Obviously I’m going to answer it! It’ll be rude of me to-”

“Hi Adrien!” Alya snatched her phone, ignoring her friend and answering for her. “Oh, you’re calling Marinette to see if she’s free tonight?” She winks at Marinette and smiles. “Absolutely!”

Marinette pushed back from her desk, lunging for her phone. “Alya!” She yelled, falling to the ground as Alya danced out of the way. Tikki flew next to her, patting her head as she started to get back up. 

Alya kept moving away from Marinette’s grabby hands while keeping the phone pressed to her ear. “Oh, yes. She will definitely meet you tonight. She was just saying how free her schedule was-“

With a final lunge, Marinette manages to steal her phone back and presses her ear to it, glaring at Alya. “I’m so sorry. Please ignore what she was say-”

“Should I meet you at 7 tonight?” Adrien said with a soft chuckle.
