This one about Lila/Cerise perfectly summerize why I'm scared to see her as the next big bad of the show in season 6, not just for Marinette and Adrien, but for the show in general

One even called Lila a "an evil mary sue," for whom "the plot bends itself over so her plans can work" ^^'

Chat Noir is Adrien

That seems pretty obvious, they are literally the same person. Honestly, I don’t know if this was ever a point of contention in the fandom because I’ve never been, like, properly in the fandom but I remembered hearing about this a while ago and thought I talk about it in regard to my Rewrite :)

Adrien and Chat Noir are the same person, again, obviously, but they act very differently from one another, particularly in the show. Adrien is always polite and carefully spoken while Chat Noir says anything and everything. They act like different people, but they aren’t.

I think every person goes through an identity crisis in their life. Mine has been ongoing but it was pretty bad a few years ago. I felt very lonely because I didn’t have anyone who knew me, but that begged the question, Who am I?

Depending on the situation I act differently. I make different jokes around family than I do around friends. I speak and act differently at work than I do in my house and at school I behave entirely differently, but all of these are me.

At school, I am naturally quieter and more withdrawn. It would be unnatural, not authentic if I were to be super outgoing and sociable. That is me.

But with friends, I make crass jokes and laugh about dumb shit. I instigate conversations and go out of my way to spend time with them. That is also me.

Neither of these versions of me are facades, they are all me, but reacting to different situations. I don’t particularly enjoy school so I go into low power mode, but when I do happen to enjoy a topic or have a friend in the same class then I am more invested. I am fluid and changing and all different “versions” of me are still me.

To apply this to a fictional teenage superhero, Adrien acts a certain way at school, and as time progresses he gets more comfortable in the “version” of him he is at school and settles into it. When he transforms and becomes Chat Noir, another “version” of him surfaces. One isn’t more valid or authentic than another; Adrien is simply adapting to his circumstances.

One minor issue (yes it’s only minor this time around) I have with the show is that they never show bleedover between the different “versions” of Adrien. I may be wrong, but I believe they do with Marinette early on where they show her gain confidence as Ladybug and that transfers over to her as Marinette, but they never do anything like that with Adrien.

Going back to my example from before, in class, I am typically quieter and more withdrawn, but if I have a friend in that class or was just talking to my friends before I went to class, that may change and I end up being more talkative and involved. If something bad happens in my personal life, I will be unfocused and tired in class. These different “versions” of myself are all connected and they bleed together, they impact one another.

As a whole, I think the show should look into this more. Or, if they don’t want to dive into that, they just ignore it entirely, but a lot of the show’s main struggles are with the heroes, Marinette in particular, dealing with having “two lives” that are at odds with each other. It would make that struggle more interesting if they dove into how they personally struggle with this outside of just being stressed, you know?

In my rewrite, I’m not planning on diving into this in great detail, but I want to make sure that the connection is present. I see how changes in one “version” of a character impact the others. 

When Adrien gets his miraculous and becomes Chat Noir, he suddenly has unlimited freedom and gets to experience something new. As a result, he starts to discover himself more in this newfound freedom and realizes he likes making jokes and goofing off but that he likes to do so because it makes the people around him smile. 

As Adrien, he makes the people around him smile not primarily through jokes, but by acts of service. He spends time with them and connects with them on an emotional level to support them. Adrien still makes jokes, but they aren’t his go-to as it is for Chat. Chat likes to connect emotionally with Ladybug, but can’t fully because of their secret identities.

Adrien and Chat Noir are the same person but just put names to that same person in different circumstances.

I would like to say that I am very behind on Miraculius and have no idea what the context is for edgy versions of the Ladybug and Chat Noir that keep appearing on my dash.

However, I would like to thank everyone, as have been thoroughly amused by the art for the past couple of days.

A real Ladybug & Chat Noit fight against the villain who traumtized both for so long ? While still getting the great Bug Noir vs Monarch fight before that ? This would have been such a better PERFECT ENDING FOR SEASON 5 T^T

Not only that but Adrien coming in the middle of the fight riding a big cat sentimonster and knowing that his father is Monatch tells us that not Agos freed his cousin and Kagami from the Tsurugi labatories, told Adrien everything and gave his cousin a sentimonster to join his lady in their final fight (after Adrien probably told Felix and Kagami that he was Chat Noir) And thus those actions can be the tur redeeming acts that Felix needed for a guenuine and convincing redemptionof his character.

Adrien and Marinette both get the character development they deserve, and Garbage Agreste gets the end he deserves, turned into the trash dust he is !!

Okay, but could you imagine.

Season 5 finale, Bug noire beating the bricks off Monarch. But in the middle of the fight, Adrien shows up. Riding on a Sentimonster Cat named Rebel.

He confronts Monarch and tells him he knows and that he needs to stop this. But Monarch pulls a dirty move and Commands Adrien to stay, before sending an akuma his way. Forced to accept it, he becomes Prince Akuma, with all the powers of Previous akuma, though unfortunately he isnt wearing the ring so he cant gift additional powers, but he doesnt care. Monarch uses this as his chance to recover.

Bug Noire is fighting for her life trying to plead with him.

Monarch catching his breath and telling Ladybug that his family will finally be reunited.

BUT THEN! Marinette gets a flash of a nightmare and stops. Saying she gives up. She detransforms because she cant bring herself to hurt adrien.

Monarch yells out that he won and commands Adrien to take the miraculous to him.

But he wont budge.

Monarch orders him with his ring, but... its not working.

Adrien is resisting! And with all his strength he breaks akumatization.

Falling to his knees. He says.

"Im sorry I hurt you Marinette... my lady."

Monarch is shocked as everyone in the room finds out hes Chat noir!

Monarch yells at him and charges at Marinette. Adrien is tossed aside. Being called an ignorant child.

Marinette realized chat noir's ring was missing. But transformed into Ladybug anyway.

Monarch wondered where the cat ring was, and adrien says his phrase.

A rock version of the theme song starts playing and they fight as one, beating the bricks off of monarch, until they knock his miraculous off.

Gabriel yells that he is destroying his family. Gabriel revealing that his birth is the reason his mother is dead, and his actions are what are killing him now.

"You are nothing but a monster."

Adrien is frozen in sorrow. Was his father right? Was he a monster?

Thankfully Ladybug called out all that bulls*** and revealed that it was all his fault. And that HE could have fixed things multiple times but his greed blinded him.

"Dont blame him for destroying something when it was all you."

Marinette reveals the clips and Gabriel realizes the monster he truly is all before turning to dust

‘Tis the Season!

So in this, Felix is Chat, just a heads up. This is for @miraculous-marcy’s Sluggish Felix AU. No one actually is really all that sluggish in this bit though because they’re all high on life.

It was a cold night, but a bright night. All of Paris seemed to be absolutely lit up with holiday lights and decorations. A tree stung up with icicle lights here, a light up menorah in the window there, and lots of done up store fronts everywhere.

Ladybug, as sluggish and tired as the cold made her, loved seeing the decorations as she zipped over the bustling city. It was winter break and it seemed like everyone was out doing things, even so late at night.

With her blanket tied around her to stay on, she yawned as she went over building after building to the predetermined meeting spot that she, Viperion, and Chat Noir chose. Somewhere warm with soft lighting and no cold wind.

“Oh come on Chat, just open it! I made your gift myself!”

He rips off the wrapping paper while Ladybug and Viperion watch, and brings up the item. The longer he looks at it, the more done his face it. It’s quiet, no one says anything.

The silence is broken by Viperion, who tries to stifle his chuckles. This breaks Ladybug. Soon the two of them are cackling while Felix just looks on at them. They start to slow down their laughter

But then Ladybug and Viperion glance at each other and lose it all again.

“Ladybug, this is a cat nip infused cat toy.”

“I, haha, I made it myself-f-f-f, en-snort-enjoy!” She tries to say through her giggles.

The laughter starts to slow.

Chat goes red in the face. “I can’t believe you got me this, I’m nOT A REAL CAT!”

Boom! Their laughter is reignited like a bonfire with new gasoline.

Ok so he had to admit it was a bit funny, not like he’d let them know.

“You can’t be too upset.” Viperion reasons. “Not with that smile.”

“What smile?” Chat asked as he smothers his small amused grin. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Aren’t you two supposed to be cold and tired?”

“Laughing works up quite the body heat, so we’re toast enough.”

“Oh is that so?” Chat inquired “Guess you won’t be needing this then!” He exclaims, yoinking the blankets away from the both of them.

“What?! NO!” Ladybug cried as Viperion shouted “You won’t get away with this!”

They both tackled Chat for a grab at the blankets, not caring who got what, only for him to shove the blankets in their faces abruptly.

“Ack!”

“Gross you got it in my mouth!”

“Let’s just get back to Bugs gifts, yours can’t be much better than mine Rio.” Chat said with a tiny grin, ignoring Ladybug’s offended ‘hey!’

“Unlike you, I’ll actually use mine.” Viperion shot back light heartedly

“You don’t even know what it is yet.”

Laughing, Ladybug interrupted them. “Ok ok, Viperion, catch!” She tossed a small gift with Viperions name written on it to him, which he caught with ease.

Chat snorted. “Good luck, I can’t wait to see what your gift is. Probably a stuffed mouse.”

“You’re just upset you didn’t get a stuffed mouse Chat.” Viperion quipped back while he undid the wrapping carefully.

Chat took a moment to glance at Ladybug, her mouth turning up into a, excuse his language, shit eating grin. It just got wider and wider as Viperion unwrapped his gift and folded the paper neatly. Were mouths supposed to go that wide?

“And here I thought it was snakes that had jaws that unhinge.” He muttered lowly. She gave him a look and flicked his arm.

“Ow!”

“Shush you.”

Viperion pulled out a long strip of knitted fabric, and looked over it, perplexed. “Ladybug I appreciate that you got me something but uhhh...”

“What’s wrong Viper?” Ladybug asked in a falsely innocent tone that showed only her complete lack of regret paired with absolute pride.

“Is it a sleeve? Like a shirt sleeve?” He asked, sticking part of his arm through it and then wiggling his fingers inside of it.

“Nope! It’s a snake sweater.”

Viperion heaves a deep sigh as Ladybug cackles, and Chat chimes in with a smirk.

“So I’m curious. How are you going to use your gift? Since you’re oh so determined?”

Viperion balled up Chats wrapping paper that was shoved to the side and threw it at him, hitting him in the shoulder.

Chat glared at him. “Oh so it’s like that is it?”

Half an hour later, Ladybug handed out the real gifts.

Im starting to wonder if it was the SUPREME that Lila/Cerise/Iris saw…

I thought about the same thing !! Maybe what Lila saw at the end of Re-creation that scared her so much was the version of the Supreme from Chat Noir and Ladybug world and not the one from the Re verse

Unless the Supreme in the Reverse world is a corrupted Master Fu, but then Hesperia called the supreme an "evil entity" in the french dubbage.

I thought that even if Cerise is in possession of a secret that could damage the relationship between Adrichat and Maribug, or even if she had really discovered Ladybug's true identity during Bug Noir final fight against Monarch, the presence of Bunnix in Ladybug's ranks could easily foil Cerise's future plans.

Also, Cerise/Lila/Iris doesn't seem to have the same financial and material resources as Gabriel, and without allies at her side, Lila/Cerise/Iris would have a hard time gaining the ascendancy of the miraclous team if she's all on her own. Even if she were to manage to create tensions and divide the team, Ladybug would still at least have Argos, Viperion, Ryuko and Bunnix on her side.

things would also be way more difficult for Chrysallis's akuma against Ladybug and Cat Noir since they can use the lucky charm and the cataclysm as many times as they want and without detransforming.

But if Lila came to have ally like the Supreme to support her, the scales would tip.

Imagine for a moment, that theres a point where Rayla and Callum accidentally injest hallucinogenic mushrooms because they picked up the wrong ones while scavenging for food in Xadia

Rayla knows better and the only person dumb enough to just eat a mushroom they picked up off the ground is Callum but CAN YOU IMAGINE

Callum, who has grown affectionate but doesn't yet understand his feelings, suddenly has no filter and becomes a little too clingy

Rayla who is entirely lucid but is aware of her crush on Callum can't. Fucking. Deal.

Callum who is crazy high thinks she's pretty and amazing and loves her eyes.

Rayla short circuits and tries to brush it off but she's never had a crush before and she just doesn't know what to do. She takes care of him as best as she can until later, Callum wakes up with no memory of what happened and Rayla, awkward as fuck goes

"Nothing! Happened I mean. Nothing happened! You just. Ate some mushrooms and went a little loopy!"

Callum, idiot that he is, goes, "Oh gods what did I do? What did I say??? Rayla whatever happened I didn't mean any of it!!!"

He did mean it, but Rayla doesn't know that.

AWKWARD.

I’ll Cover You

Five times Marinette references Rent and one time she can't.

The first time she does it, her class are having a quiz. "How many minutes are there," Miss Bustier pauses for dramatic effect, smirking at her class. They're on the edge of their seats, hands ready to fly up into the air, "In a year?" There's a chorus of groans as people begin to try and calculate in their heads. Max is halfway there when a shrill voice from beside Alya shouts out: "Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes! Five hundred twenty-five moments so dear!" Alya looks over at her small friend who is flushing crimson head to toe. "How on earth do you know that?" Marinette shrugs, giving an embarrassed smile. "Rent - I saw it with my Nonna. I couldn't stop singing it for the whole weekend." The second time she does it on patrol. She and Chat are slinking through the dark Parisian streets and notice a couple arguing behind a dumpster. "Well if you hadn't been flirting with that woman in the - what's it called?" "Rubber?" "That's right, rubber! If you hadn't been flirting with her then I wouldn't have got angry-" "Oh, so it's my fault, is it?" She looks pointedly at her lover, not noticing the two teenage superheroes watching them. "There will always be women in rubber flirting with me!" Hisses Ladybug under her breath, causing Chat to jerk his head around at her, a wild expression on his face. "Excuse me?" The two women look up at Chat and Ladybug. Chat offers an awkward wave, but too caught up in the moment and not able to resist, Ladybug jumps down from the roof and points at the angry woman. "There will always be women in rubber flirting with me! Give me a break!" And she promptly bursts into song, only stopping after being dragged away by Chat who whispers countless apologies to the two women, who can only stare in amazement. The third time she does it, it's at karaoke night at the local youth club. Nino drags the three of them there if just to enjoy the music. It's when a familiar tune crawls out of the speakers that Marinette gives out a cheer. Letting go of her fears, she drags Alya out of her chair and up to the stage, when then promptly begin singing a slightly out-of-tune version of 'Out Tonight'. It's not meant to be a duet, but they just about manage it. Of course, when the song is over, Marinette regrets it all. Especially singing it in front of Adrien. The fourth time she does it is after moving out of her parent's house, and going to University. Juggling three jobs and with an eviction notice hammered onto her door, she is tired of living in expensive squalor and hides under her fabric. Then: "How do you document real life when real life's getting more like fiction each day?" She sings softly a small tear running down her cheek. She wanted to prove to everyone that she could be independent. She wanted to prove to herself she was like Ladybug. Strong, brave, resourceful. "How we gonna pay last year's rent?" Transforming, she leaps out of the window and jumps from roof to roof. "The music ignites the night with passionate fire! The narration crackles and pops with incendiary wit!" And then, from behind her: "How do you leave the past behind when it keeps finding ways to get to your heart?" Shrieking, she leaps around to discover her feline companion giving her a weak smile. "Chat! You scared me!" "I'm sorry, My Lady." "Draw a line in the sand and then make a stand." "When they act tough, you call their bluff!" And then, in unison: "We're not gonna pay; last year's rent, this year's rent, next year's rent!" The fifth time they're at a cafe where a group of suspicious-looking teenagers are sitting, whispering. Alya is desperately trying to catch what they're saying, but the voices are too quiet, too quick. And one of them starts having an argument with another group of teens behind them. And then: "Who died?" And Marinette can't help herself. "AKITA!" She belts. The teenagers laugh and cheer. "EVITA!" Alya looks from the teens to Marinette. "What just happened?" "La Vie Boheme." Breathes Adrien. Marinette giggles. Then enter a flash mob. She joins in, of course. "Dearly beloved, we gather here to say our goodbye's...here she lies, no one knew her worth...the late great daughter of mother earth..." "German wine, turpentine, Gertrude Stein..." "To S&M!" It's a couple of months later and the heroes find themselves fighting a gang of bank robbers holding half a dozen people hostage. They've called in the big guns - Rena, Queenie and Carapace. Carapace and Rena are defending the hostages from two of the gang - brilliantly. Queen Bee has recharged twice now, taking two men down with her. Ladybug and Chat are fighting side by side, as per usual. The robbers won't kill them - they know that. As much as Hawkmoth wanted them dead, even the lowliest criminals accept that Ladybug and Chat Noir are the reason Paris remains safe. After the terrorist attack, no one wanted to take any chances and the two then-teenagers were made the official security of Paris. Alongside the police, of course. "This is exhilarating, M'Lady!" Bellows Chat, hitting one of the criminals over the head with his baton, causing the delinquent to fall over, out cold. Ladybug throws her head back and laughs. "Exhilarating? You're an odd one, Kitty!" "You love me!" He teases, throwing her a flirty wink. This was their routine. It was what made them such good friends; the not-so-intimate intimacy; the slightly on edge way Ladybug turned him down. "You wish, you mangy feline!" He fakes a sign of mock hurt as she tangles another one of the masked thieves in her yoyo string. She giggles and then it turns into a full-blown laugh and then a bullet leaps out from nowhere and there is a bang and suddenly she is bowled over, face contorted in pain. Chat lets out an unholy scream that is not a cry of pain, not a cry of anger but both and neither at the same time. And Ladybug falls. He drops to his knees and takes her head in his lap. The fighting around them has stopped (except for Queen Bee, who was using all her efforts to find and tranquilise the shooter) but it could have carried on and he would have stayed, still, by her side. A fat tear rolls down his cheek and onto Ladybug's nose. He wipes his eyes furiously, but there is no stopping time. She is going to go and it is his fault for being an idiot and flirting with her. She coughs, trying to say something, but it won't work. All voice has been lost. And then, from behind: "Live in my house, I'll be your shelter," Carapace begins to sing softly, his deep voice still carrying over the deathly silence. His holds Rena to his chest, who looks up as he sings. "Just pay me back, with a thousand sweet kisses," Her voice wavers, but she sings on anyway. Why are they singing Rent? How do they know... He looks down and Ladybug is no longer there. It's Marinette and her transformation is up. How could he not have seen this? She lies, broken, in his arms and he doesn't know what to do. "Be my lover..." Sings Queenie, and Chat didn't even realise Chloe had even seen the goddamn musical. He decides to sing along. "And I'll cover you," Marinette's eyes are full of sorrow, full of apologies. He smiles down at her and kisses her forehead, calling his transformation off. If anyone is shocked, they don't show it. "Open your door, I'll be your tenant," "Don't have much baggage to lay at your feet," "But sweet kisses I've got to share, I'll be there," "And I'll cover you!" "I know that they meant it," "When they said you can't buy love," "Now I know you can rent it," "And at least you were my love!" One by one, the heroes release their transformations, singing Marinette's pain away as she falls further and further away from them. Or at least until the ambulance arrives. When she's better, Marinette scolds them for being overdramatic and "Ow, Chloe, I've still been shot and your bear hugs hurt!"

Ask HC: did you know? There's a timeline where Ladybug got Queen bee's miraculius from her after being compromised, sure, nothing strange in that aight? But there was alredy one compromissed hero who was still going on missions and still is! Ryuko. And to top that, Ladybug from that universe just revelead to the whole class who Bunnyx was! And in front of queen bee too

So in this prompt the Trolls came on Earth centuries ago after the destruction of their home planet Alternia and they built their own society which got the name of “New Alternia”.

They have been at war with the humans in the past the latters believing the Trolls were demons.

Years later a peace treaty was etablished between the two races althrought both still got nowdays prejudices against each other, some humans thinking Trolls are just mindless savages who eat human flesh and some Trolls see humans as inferior weaklings.

Now days, New Alternia created some touristic places and are visited by tourists from all countries. When she was 5, Marinette and her parents came to New Alternia for some vacations.

One day she and her parents were at a beach and Marinette meet a young Eridan who was stuck in a fish net, she help him to get out despite him acting kinda hostile toward her.

After that she notice Eridan’s foot was injured she carried on her back to her parents a Eridan flushing in embarrassment.

When the two adults saw the young Troll’s injured foot they quickly got their first aid kit. When they’re done treating the wound they’re approached by an adult Troll and a teenager Troll who are Dualscar and Cronus and who were looking for Eridan everywhere. (In this prompt the alpha Trolls are the Beta Trolls older siblings and since outside of the mother grub there’s no lusus around since Alternia’s destruction, the Ancestors take care of their descendants).

Since that meeting the two family get to know more about each other during the rest of the Dupain-Cheng’s vacation and sympathized despite Dulscar’s suspiciousness toward them at the start.

Eridan and Mainette became friends during those vacations and since then she and her family often go in New Alternia when they got vacations and pass them with the Amporas.

Over the years Marinette learned more about Troll culture thank to Eridan, she even became Eridan’s moirail.

Outside of holidays, Marinette and Eridan keep contact by using chat.

His friendship/moirallegiance with Marinette made Eridan less of a jerk.

When Eridan became friend with Feferi, the latter meet Marinette during one of the Dupain-Cheng’s visit with the Amporas and became friend with her.

Years later, Marinette became Ladybug and later the guardian of the miraculous box and things are only getting harder for her not only with the akumas who’s getting more and more violent and with a certain liar who keep to her promise and turn her friends against her, passing her as a bully.

The bullying against her become bad to the point she’s not even using her webcam while chatting with Eridan anymore not wanting he saw her injuries.

One day after Marinette came back home beated up after another day of bullying, her parents got fed up with how their daughter was treated at her school and decided to pull her out of Françoise-Dupont and to search a new school.

After a while searching, they found a boarding school in the States, called Skaia High, which is a school where both humans and Trolls are students, which happen to be the school where Eridan and Cronus are studying, and after talking about it with Marinette they regist her to this school.

Marinette informed Eridan during a conversation she’s transfering to a new school and it his school, which surprise Eridan but at the same time make him happy to know he will see his moirail way more often.

Once she get to Skaia High and meet Eridan here the other Trolls/kids from Eridan’s circle, outside of Feferi who was very happy to see Marinette again, are shocked to see he got a moirail who is human and that the relationship seemed pretty good.

Things were a bit awkward at first but soon Marinette adjust to her new school and made new friends and when Paris needed Ladybug she used Kaalki to get there and to come back at Skaia High in no time once the akuma was take care of.

She told Eridan the reasons why she transfered and the seadweller was angry that his moirail has gone through so much and he become quite more protective toward her, and when their other friends, as well as Cronus and Dualscar, learned about it too they were not happy as well.

But soon this new routine will be turned upside down when an exchange programm is created and a class from another country will be visiting Skaia High for a time and this class is no other than Marinette’s former class from Paris.

This pissed of Karkat who lost any kind of respect for Chat Noir and even enter in a comments war with the ladyblogger(AKA Alya) to prove to her how “the ladynoir ship was a pile of hoofbeast shit!”. He even pester and trolling her even more when the Ladyblog became more about Llia than about Ladybug or the akumas. And all this while hidding to everyone he is a Ladybug fan ‘cause he think the others will not leave him alone about it.
